"I suppose that's true, he always has been a difficult one to pry from duties." She replied with a soft sigh before sipping some more of the tea and glancing over to her dear friend. "I suppose I should get it over with and speak up then.... Once Aldon arrives it'll be easy to catch him up on everything." She cooed before biting her lip again, unsure of how to say what she was wanting to tell them, though Sarah already knew. After a moment she took a calming breath, letting it out slowly and finally straightened herself up. "As you already know I'm in love with Roland of Bellris and hope to be his wife in the future... what you don't know however is...." She hesitated as her nerves tried to get the better of her. "What you don't know is that.... I'm... I'm with child....Roland's child." She finally managed to murmur before biting her lip as she awaited their reactions.

Kaiden his mother and sister speak as he remained silent until Athena finally spoke what she wanted to say to him, Sarah and mother. His eyes widened as Athena said that she is with child and its Roland's child. He was not angry at all, not a shred of angry was on his face but he is so excited and happy for his younger sister then he said as he stood up with excitement,"That is excellent news Athena!"
He was very shock also but he sense how nervous Athena was when mother shown up as he then sat back down,"I am very happy for you and Roland.. Athena, you have grown so much this past years and as your brother, I am very happy that you have found someone to love and to cherish..I am sure that Father would agree with me and say the same thing.."
He then places his hands on his lap but one of then held on to Sarah's hand and hopefully make sure that mother did not see him holding the maid's hand.

"Oh Kaiden." The maid swoons over her prince and his heart that stay by her side. She could just kiss him right here and now if it weren't for her friend's words reaching her heart as well. "Athena, I am so blessed to be the maid to a princess like you. You're heart of gold shines with emboldening warmth and I'll be honored to stand up for you no matter what you proclaim today!" Though Sarah had an idea what Athena might speak to everyone about she knew she was going to need moral support. She could only imagine how nervous her princess must be to have the whole family in one place to hear what she is to say. Suddenly, the queen entered. Sarah stiffened a little and there her hand slips out of Kaiden's reach in reaction to the queen being present. "Salutations Queen Ѵaleska! Its such an honor to be having breakfast with you again. Its like back when you an my mother would have breakfast and drag us girls along to play." Though Sarah was talking to Ѵaleska she happened to shoot Athena a wink when she mentioned she and Athena being young girls. It was odd to think of the past but it did bring good memories of Sarah's love struck mother going on about her handsome spy of a father; Back when the queen would talk of her own husband. Now it was time for what needed to be said. Shortly after her words, Athena speaks up. The princess was struggling and stammering but Sarah had confidence in her princess to see herself through this. And surely she did. Athena announce that she was with child, pregnant by the prince of Bellris, which had Sarah's heart beating wildly for her. Would Queen Valeska have heard the rumors whispered in the castle? Would she trust a republic that had no ties to the emperor which her husband had an oath of trust to? "Athena, congratulations! I'm also happy you've found someone to love and cherish!" The head maid happily cheers. "I can't wait for the pitter patter of little feet to echo through the halls! I just hope the child isn't as sly as their mother or we're going to have our hands full!" Soon after Sarah felt the hand of Kaiden grab hers under the table and a blush bloomed onto her cheeks. She looked over to him and her eyes were clear; The maid was nervous. Her heart was touched that her man would want to still be tangled in her touch in this way but as this okay to do with the queen in the room? Would the lady even notice with what Athena has said?

"Thank you Kaid, I'm sure father would too." She murmured cheerfully before looking over at her dear friend. "Thank you too Sarah I'm sure the pitter patter will come soon enough and this child will be a mixture of both myself and Roland. Granted we had best hope he or she doesn't end up causing the trouble we did while young." She replied with a slight smirk. Of course she was still waiting for her mothers reaction to her news, hoping that she would be just as accepting as her brother and friend, though the uncertainty was still there for the time being. Then there would be the matter of telling Aldon whenever he arrived to the dinning hall, unless she had to corner him later on. "I know you had taught us to wait until marriage mother, and I'm sorry I did not, but Roland and I want to be husband and wife. He simply needs to officially ask for my hand, although he has asked that I visit him in Bellris as soon as I am allowed to do so. Are you angry with me?" She cooed while turning a concerned gaze to the queen, biting her lip at the same time.

Ah the memories that came back every time she saw the young maid. Her mother was a nice lady, a good companion when she needed her to be, it seemed the young maid was the same towards her daughter. "Indeed, I'm glad you stuck around." she would admit to the young lady, smiling back at her. With her attention back to her daughter, her smile slowly began to shift to her frown. What was this she heard? Her brows knit into a furrow, her eyes casting over to Kaiden and Sarah who supported the princess. The queen might have been quite accepting on most aspects, but there were times she would have to draw the line. This was one of them, one of the times where she would consider her teachings not good enough for them. She did understand the perks of being young, the curiosity, the love involved. "I am disappointed." she stated bluntly, looking back at the other servants present there. "If word of this goes out of this room, I do not require the King's permission to behead the source of it." she stated, exhaling as she stood up, causing a chill to run down the spines of anyone who wasn't the three there.She might have not been this way while her husband was alive, but she still had the power and authority her title held. "As for your permission to visit the father of your child, would it even make a difference if I had denied you? You've clearly done what you wished to. I have nothing to say on that matter. Now if you'll excuse me." the queen stated, turning around so she could leave. As much as it would seem like the Queen was being a horrible mother due to her principles, her views and ideals, she didn't think of it that way for that moment. What ever Aldon's opinion was on the matter, she was unhappy. Where she wouldn't mind if they were to marry sometime soon, but her temper would take some time to go down. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

She had the feeling this was what she would hear from her beloved mother and breathed a soft sigh. "I will not leave the castle to visit Roland in Bellris without permission mother. I am sorry I've disappointed you in this, but Roland and I do want to marry and bring this child into a loving family." She said in a soft tone before looking up to watch her mother move to leave the room. "Is there anything I can do to make this better mother? To regain your trust?" She asked hoping to gain a little acceptance or at the very least alleviate some of the queens disappointment.

She is disappointed in Athena?! then he heard his mother stand up then he stood up as well but he lets go of Sarah's hand,"Mother please reconsider..Ever since Father passed on to the next world, we have been shunned into darkness and depressed but please allow some light to shine upon us again..Please mother, at least give Athena this light of a chance to be happy again and same for you..I know what she had done is disappointing but please.."
He lifted his head up so his hazy silver eyes can be fully seen as he waited for his mother's reply.

A maid scurried fast by him pausing in askance, he held up a finger to her lips and shook his head. He did not wish her to speak, when she nodded he let go and she walked away blushing. He sighed and listened more. He could hear four voices, the maid Sarah, his brothers lover whether he was aware of Aldon knowing or not, he had learned of them ages ago it seemed, he had over heard the other maids gossiping. He was happy for them truly, now he just waited for them to see him about it. The next was his mother's, how she still hid her pain from him even though he was king now. And the final one, his sisters. She spoke up, her voice unsure and shaking. He listened more, his eyes opening wide. She was WHAT?! He heard his mother speak up his disappointment in her and he quickly opened both doors leading in. "The queen mother is correct, if word of this gets out, severe punishment will be administered." Anger practically radiated out of his skin. He walked over to them and set his hands on the table, "I'm glad you feel that way, Because I do not grant permission for you to leave this castle to travel. For the time being you are to remain here and instead I request to see your now child's father. We have much to discuss as to how this situation will be handled." He was angry, his little sister had slipped from him faster than he realized and had taken a step much further than she should've. He had vouched for their love while their father was alive and had planned on granting permission for their marriage when it was asked along with negotiations. Now he had to worry more about the health and care of his sister and her now child. His anger and disappointment was heavy and his anger more. But he still loved her and was happy to see her happy with the man she loved, but they were moving too fast and not in the right order. He stood up and pinched the arch on his nose, sighing. "It seems I will have to delay the planning of my wedding until this is sorted properly. I am not sure how I will explain this to my fiancé Elentiya...But this takes precedent. I'm sorry for being rather harsh Athena, but this is a very serious matter and it must be handled as such." He said standing straight up, he clasped his hands behind his back and stared straight at Kaiden and Sarah, smiled softly and nodded his greeting to them before turning to look at his mother, his eyes never once looked at Athena after he had ordered her not to leave the castle. "Mother would you wish to go for a walk with me? Or shall I simply walk with you to your quarters?" "Kaiden don't..." She whispered not wanting her older brother getting into trouble despite having a valid point. When she heard the doors open again and saw the anger etched on her eldest brother's face, her heart sank that much more. Upon hearing his words she hung her head and used her hair to hide her tears. "Am I to be confined to the castle then?" She whispered while glancing up at her brother, taking notice that he didn't even so much as look at her. Naturally that only added to the disheartened feeling, causing it to be replaced with utter defeat. She knew there would be some anger and disappointment for her situation, but having two beloved family members act as though they didn't wish to be near her at all was too much. "I'm sorry... I'm truly sorry...." She whispered softly unsure of what else she could say to them. The last thing she had wanted was a scandal to take place, which was one of the reasons she chose to speak about her condition to her family, instead of trying to keep it hidden from them until there was no way to do so. However with the reactions she had just gotten perhaps she should have hidden it from them completely and allowed them to find out when it was too late to do anything.

KAiden heard his little sister's voice telling him to not to continue but he heard his brother come in then one of his hands turns into fists then they started to bleed since he was gripping tightly then he thought to himself,'They ought to be over joyed and happy! They making Athena sad and I hate to hear her cry...why mother..why Aldon?! you should support her!!' he yelled inside his mind but he remained quiet and standing there while blood drips onto the ground from his hands and his heart beat faster and faster which makes his breathing more heavy as well.

She had a feeling things would turn out this way but for it to actually be happening made her heart extremely saddened for the princess. She looked to her prince as he spoke up for his sister and though she was impressed by his courage it seemed the new king, King Aldon, was not as easily swayed by his brother's words. He was quite frank with Athena and to hear the princess tear up in her voice broke Sarah's heart. She knew the next move she was about to do might be a stupid one but she couldn't live with herself if she didn't stand up for her princess. "Ѵaleska and Aldon, please wait!" Before the two could leave the room Sarah shoots up from her seat and stands tough as she tries her best to defend her princess. "I know that you both feel that what Athena did is a big mistake but I speak to the contrary and vouch for their love! She was so happy to believe she was pregnant and she was ever hopeful that you all would accept her as her family! As her mother she trusted that you would understand what it is to be in love and to you, Aldon, she believed you would give her support as the eldest brother and not shun her away! I'm willing to bet my life in saying Roland would not bring harm to Athena and if you only knew how they both light up next to each other you'd knew happiness in their love is a sure bet too!" Taking a deep breath to calm her fear Sarah could smell a faint scent of blood and looks over to Kaiden's hand. From where she stands she can see how hard he is balling up his fist and so to both calm her lover and to make a point she stands besides Kaiden and wraps and arm around his; A hand on his muscle as she tries to drink in his strength for her own bravery. "Please don't be mad at Athena. Her only crime here is being a girl whose fallen in love with a boy who cares for her with all his heart."

She might have been mad at her, disappointed too but she didn't hate her. She thought she would bebe wiser than that, wiser than a love struck girl who gave away everything to a prince who gods only knew what he could have done to her. The queen wouldn't even speak to her about it, knowing that with her spur of emotions, she would simply defend their love. This was something the girl would have to figure out on her own. "Lighten up, your child will be unharmed. But do not expect anything from me as of now. I do not wish to discuss the matter any further with you right now." she would mumble, her arms crossed across her chest as she avoided looking back at her, knowing her sadness would melt her stone exterior. She was her mother more than a respectable queen, it certainly pained her to act this way to her but she saw no other option. Looking over as Aldon also stepped in now, she would exhale a little, feeling a little relieved that he was here to discuss the matter too. He might have been angry, but he too had all rights to know. He too needed to voice his opinion here and even if he were to disagree with her, she wouldn't shake from her decision. "I believe meeting him would be a wise decision. Although, I wouldn't want Athena to be there during this discussion, it would simply bring in too much of unwanted emotion to the matter." she added to Aldon's decision. "I have no joy in stealing another's happiness. If you feel that way, I can't help it Kaiden. But I'm firm on my decision." the queen would add to her younger son, frowning as she turned to look over at him. It pierced, the way he worded his sentence. She wasn't giving her a chance to be happy? She wasn't her enemy, she didn't hate her children but discipline was discipline, whether they understood now or maybe in the future, it wouldn't change it. For now, she stood firm like her title. Like the queen she was known to be and looked back at Aldon. Maybe his company would help her feel a tad bit better to which she nodded, ready to head out with him. Athena's voice made her firm stature almost shake, she tried not to make it very noticeable though. She had upset her and it wasn't a good feeling. Two of her children were upset at her and she didn't have her King to remind her she wasn't wrong in her part. She wasn't wrong to simply try and correct the wrong her children did. Aldon might have been on her side, but a companion's compassion was different. Stopping in her path when she heard the maid speak up, her voice made the hair on the back of her neck to stand in displeasure. She didn't want to be around them anymore and being poked on her decision was making her angry more than disappointed now. Children. Always trying to think they had seen the world enough to distinguish right from wrong. She might have felt like her mother in law or her own mother at that thought, but that thought could wait. She turned around, her brows knit together as her face showed more annoyance than earlier. "If Roland was to use Athena, what good would I get in killing you? Would I get my daughter back? Would I get back the innocence she had in her if I ran your heart through a stake for your 'belief' in a man that wooed her with his charm?," she stated coldly to the woman, exhaling in a deep sigh. "For Athena and your mother's sake, I spare you that sharp tongue of yours, but be mindful of my temper and age. I have raised three children, even if I might have not done a very good job with it, I do not wish to be counseled by a child. Now, I am done talking on this matter." she added, looking back at Aldon so they could leave. She didn't want to hear anything anymore. She knew she was being a horrid mother, she knew she was brining pain to them, but she wasn't wrong at her place. She didn't feel the need to explain it to everyone present there. "I don't fear for the child's safety mother and I will not expect anything from you or Aldon. I only ask that in time you come to forgive me for this. I shall write to Roland and explain the wish to see him here in the castle, and I shall remain in my chambers during your meeting as well." She said in a sad but truthful tone that held her usual maturity to it even though she was still only a young woman. When she heard the words that came from dear Sarah and those that were returned from her mother she flinched. "Enough please.... Mother and Aldon have every right to be angered and disappointed by this. They have made valid points as have both you and Kaiden, but right now it is time for thought and discussion. The matter is done and cannot be undone, nor can the fact of my honesty be removed from the table. I do not want this to cause a rift in my family and if things continue the way they are right now it will do just that. So as mother has said let's have no more talk on the matter please." She whispered hoping that every one would at least be quelled a little. Naturally she would wait for her eldest brother and her mother to leave the room, before most likely heading to her own so that she could write her letter.

Kaiden felt Sarah touch his arm then he slowly started to relax but as he heard his mother speak, he can feel the anger come out of his mother's vibrations which causes him to stand in front of Sarah in protection from his mother's words but the words that made him fear for Sarah's life from his mother made him stand in front of Sarah from his mother's line of sight.
Kaiden felt so angry at his brother and mother..no, the queen and the king, he will not forgive what they just said to Athena also he will not forgive the queen for she said to Sarah in a cold tone as he remains standing then his finally he said in a cold tone but it was in a polite tone as well,"As you wish my queen.."
As soon as Aldon and his mother both left the dining hall, he slams his fist onto the table in frustration.

I pleaded that they be allowed to marry. Because I had faith in them, because I thought the young man had respect for our cultures, standards, and traditions. Because I believed him to respect my sister and our family enough to not do such a thing. But i see that they both gave in to carnal desire before thinking of the consequences. Now we must settle matters before they get out of hand and/ or word gets out and we have an uproar on our hands. Neither of them took stock to think how the kingdom would react to such a thing without proper negotiations or a treaty of alliance written.
