I'osi nodded slowly and almost seemed to frown, "Such a somber name for such a beautiful young lady.." the old woman spoke then smiled, "But if what Kailani says is true, I'm sure you will make many people proud..."
Kailani smiled and nodded, "I'm really happy that tonight is the merende... I can't wait..." she looked up to trees, moving a hand to shield her eyes from the light that broke through the leaves. "It's still morning... so it will be a while before we get to celebrate. Hey, maybe we can see if someone is selling clothes for the merende tonight... or we can go to the beach and hang out. We have tim-..."
"A'maelamin... you have returned..." a smooth male voice spoke out. Kailani's smile faded immediately as she turned to see a taller elf with long black hair and pale silver eyes as he bowed respectfully to I'osi then reached for Kailani's hand to kiss the top of it. "Cormamin lindua ele lle..." he spoke softly, a gentle smile on his face as he seemed to only be focused on her. Kailani narrowed her eyes at him and retracted her hand but said nothing to him, turning her attention back to I'osi. "We will definitely be at the Merende Isil tonight..." she took a cursory glance back at the man before smiling at I'osi, "..if nothing hinders us, that is." she sighed, "It has been great seeing you again I'osi... I look forward to tonight."
"You should try to be nicer to him, Kailani... Sigen has spent many a moons waiting at the beach for your return. Surely you would have known that Arael would have informed him of your arrival..." I'osi smirked a bit, giving a slight wink to Sigen, obviously hinting at some sort of advise to Kailani before bowing to them all and leaving back from the direction she came from. "Tenna' telwan." she spoke tiredly as she left.
Kailani sighed then nodded in agreement to I'osi. As the woman turned to leave she returned the words she spoke, "Tenna' telwan.." It wasn't long before she turned to look at the man, her eyes narrowing again. "Namaarie, Sigen." she spoke, a bit of spite in her voice.
He bowed gracefully to her, "Manka lle merna... Cormamin niuve tenna' ta elea lle au'.." then bowed his head lightly to Moira before turning to leave as well.
Kailani sighed even heavier. "Well, that was... fun." she commented before turning back to Moira with a smile. "So what do you want to do first?"
Do you want to:
Go to the beach/ocean Explore the village Go shopping in the market Find some place to eat

Moira tilted her head just a little bit as I'osi spoke about her name, but smiled back, "I can only hope I can do them such an honor." She bowed again, though as Kailani spoke, she turned to face her and listened to her talk, nodding a bit about the clothes, or the beach. Though, as a male figure spoke, she stared at him, then to Kailani, then back to the man, watching their interaction and quickly frowning when Kai's reaction was clearly one of dislike of the man.
Falling silent to just listen to the three who had been speaking to finish their interaction, perking up when she was turned to, she smiled a bit. "Well..I guess exploring the Village could be kind of nice. I feel like that would be a bit better, I think. Though, some food eventually would be nice. I did sort of skip breakfast." Moira laughed a bit, scratching the back of her head and ruffling her short hair a bit.

Kailani tilted her head slightly in thought, she wanted to see the village. Hmm... A grin grew across her face as she had the perfect idea. "How about this, we walk through the village, pick up something easy to eat and walk out to where I used to live..." she offered with a smile.
"This way.." she instructed as she turned to walk down one of the streets, vendors lining the way as colorful lanterns were hung along the edges of the rooftops, hand-painted with Elven words. Kailani waved at villagers as they greeted her as they walked. It was obvious that Kailani was well known here and almost revered like a distant but loved family member. She perused the stands before purchasing quite a number of what looked like round baked pastries with a decorative golden crest stamped into the tops that resembled a bird with its wings outstretched and a bunch of square shaped items wrapped in dark green leaves and twine. She then selected a hand-sealed bottle and appeared to have trouble holding it all before the man running the stand laughed a bit and offered her a hand-woven bag to hold it all in. Kailani thanked him graciously before continuing on to the edge of the village.
There was dirt path that led through fields of overgrown flowers and plantlife. She picked up her pace as the dirt parth declined a bit and she almost tripped on a few large rocks, though it didn't seem to phase her one bit, her heart really set on showing Moira this place she once called home with the family she used to have. She would have pushed the gate open that fenced around the house, but it was already falling off it's hinges and covered in moss. Kailani moved along the stone path up to the old house that looked like it hadn't been lived in in very many years, the windows busted in from the damage of time as well the trees had grown up and almost enveloped parts of the house itself. She made her way up the vine cover steps to the door which was, at this point, non-existent. Being careful to step over the larger piles of crumbled bricks and wood. Kailani looked around the small wooden house as she then looked back to Moira. "This is where my parents and I lived before we moved to Drisall." she informed before moving towards the dining area and moving some things from the table, dust kicking up a bit as she moved. The house was still furnished as though their move was sudden and unplanned.
Kailani pushed against the wooden chairs and frowned. They weren't that sturdy after all these years. Hmm, floor it was then. Kailani then moved to a clearing in the floorspace and began to pull out a blanket from her backpack to lay out on the ground then unpacked the food and drink she had bought earlier. She unwrapped the leaves to reveal a type of pastry biscuit that had a slightly sweet taste with a hint of lemon that sat heavy in the stomach. The circular bird-encrested pastry looked almost like a flaky muffin but the center was a filling of fish and seasoning with a faint taste of complimentary berries that melded well together as a whole. Kailani offered most of the food to Moira, only eating one of each as she opened the bottle, pulling out the cork with her teeth as she held out the bottle to Moira with a smile, the taste of the drink being fairly fruity, tasting mostly of blood orange with hints of cranberry and a bit of lemon. It was light but flavorful.
"We have quite a bit of time before the merende... so maybe I can answer questions about the island and stuff while we wait..." she suggested, taking a swig of the beverage before eating a bit more, leaning back on one hand, almost relaxed and enjoying herself as they sat and just took it easy. She reached over and picked a flower that seemed to have grown up through the floorboards, looking around as many other flowers seemed to have done the same, twirling the stem between her thumb and forefinger thoughtfully.

Moira took in all the sights and sounds, staying silent as she didn't want to possibly say anything thought of as wrong or weird, so she just stayed silent, more so when the children ran up to her. Smiling and waving at them, she kept up with Kailani and just sort of looked about until they made their way to the house.
Stopping as Kailani went up the steps, Moira had a sudden feeling of longing and deja vu from her past, "Is this sort of building architecture common for Elves..?" she asked as she eventually made her way up the steps once the door was moved, feeling a little bad that she didn't help, but she was still taking in everything that was going on.Settling down on the floor across from the girl, she picked up one of the leaf and twine packets and took a bite, smiled a bit, then ate it up quickly. Licking her lips as she looked over to Kailani as she spoke, she stopped for a moment to think.
"Well... I have a couple of questions. I guess I could just list them all off at once." She laughed a little bit then set down the packet of twine to run her hand through her hair and pick a little bit and twirled it. "First one is - are the red eyes uncommon? I know of someone else with red eyes. Second is, what is the Merende, third..uhm, who was that guy who you didn't seem to like. What was that thing with the strange tentacles.." she paused to think again, leaning back, placing her hand on the floor and hearing it creak slightly. "Are the poppies specifically to you or..." Moira asked, hoping she didn't step on any toes.
"Oh! You can ask me some questions too..."

Kailani thought for a moment as she looked around at the structure of the house and among the debri that lined the house. "Well, the others a bit more well kept than this.." she commented then laughed. "Yeah, the architecture is pretty common for elves..." she finally confirmed. "They build the houses themselves from wood and stone and handmade glass. It's nice... my house back in Drisall is based on a combination of the architecture you see here and the angelic structures in Drisall. It's small, but I built it myself..."
Kailani stretched her arms over her head and then stood up to go sit behind Moira and began to braid Moira's short hair with the colorful flowers that were within reach that peeked through the old floorboards, oranges yellows and whites with pink centers. The colors were vibrant and Kailani smiled as she made quick work of the intricate braids despite the length of the woman's hair. As she did so, she thought on the questions Moira asked, addressing them one at a time.
She blinked as she asked about the red eyes then seemed to frown. "It's pretty rare. My father had red eyes too and my mother had indigo eyes. I came out with red just like him. My mother told me elves with red eyes tended to be weaker in magic and had to compensate in other ways. The legend calls us Ingolënosta... The angels call us technomancers. We build things without magic. My name in the elvish tongue given to me by I'osi was Ingolëien... daughter of knowledge." she then sighed, "You know someone else that is a red-eyed elf like me..." she hesitated not sure what to say. "Maybe..." she paused then shook her head. "I hope they are having a better time than I am... Are they... an outcast?" she asked hesitantly. She had a lot of questions about that person but didn't exactly know what she should even ask to get the answers she sought, or even what those answers were that she was looking for.
Clearing her throat, she moved to the next question, a smile suddenly returning to her face. "Oh, the Merende Isil... It's a festival. Festival of the Moon where we celebrate all it brings in the calm seas and bountiful fish. They'll light the fire pit and dance and we take the offering of sana e' i' lith. It's my favorite festival that Treles has..." she explained. "The red lanterns are a symbol of the moon's guidance and protection. The color of cúron in red will always guide you home.. or so my mother used to say."
As Moira mentioned the guy that spoke to her, she frowned and sighed, moving away to sit down in front of Moira again after finishing braiding her hair. Kailani began to braid her own hair, taking out the red poppy to carefully place it in her own lap as she braided through her long hair. A pained and sad look on her face, "That's Sigen.. He is my lirimaer..." her eyes averted to the ground as she appeared to be very uncomfortable talking about him. She shifted a bit as she tried to find the best way to explain the situation. "It's not his fault I don't like him... he's nice to me. It's just the circumstances that surround us that make things a bit more tense. I.... really don't know how to say anything on that." she paused then closed her eyes. "....amin uma il- merna natul- ho verne'..." she spoke softly then sighed sorrowfully.
She bit her lip then forced herself to continue, her tone less enthusiastic now as she looked to Moira then chuckled sympathetically. "...sadie... She's a sea creature that protects the waters that surround Treles. She's a giant squid with big silver eyes." she answered. "I had almost forgotten about her when we were traveling over. Thankfully I put food for her in my bag... she might have dragged us down to the bottom of the sea if not."
She paused again, her eyes shifting to the red poppy in her own lap before picking it back up and looking at it carefully before placing it into the weave of braids she had made in her black hair. "...my mother.. she really liked them... When she came to Treles, she had them in her hair and gave them to my father when they met because they were as red as his eyes. She brought them here, and I guess they symbolized my parents love for each other... so that's why I planted them everywhere on the hill around their graves..." she explained. "Because my mother bore the symbol of the ithil... they make red lanterns to light the way for the festival in honor of her. Maybe they thought she was a maiden of the moon or something that came down from the heavens to live among the elves." she smiled longingly, "Mother said she traveled from Tretera... a place called Midena... though she told me there were so many beautiful things out there, magics that even the elves couldn't obtain..." she nodded slowly. "So originally the poppies were for her, and I guess they still are... but now I'osi says they are for me..."
She thought of questions for Moira, "...where are you from?..." she asked, "...not that I would know where it would be, I don't even know how big Tretera is... I've never traveled but a mile out from Drisall." she added to the comment and frowned. "...what are your parents like?..." she asked, a melancholy look on her face as though she herself didn't know what it was like to even grow up with parents at all. Her eyes narrowed onto Moira's ring and she tilted her head then looked to Moira. "You have a lirimaer..... were you... scared?" she asked calmly but the slight glimmer of fear and worry in her eyes as she looked at Moira.

Closing her eyes and listening to Kailani answer her question, as well as braid her hair, she picked up the sweet she had been eating prior. So the architecture was a common thing, though she doubted that her grandmother had actually built the mansion herself, so that was out of the question. Ah - right, she could answer that, "Sort of an outcast, I'm not sure if it's because of how they are acting or how society is, but..." she shrugged a bit and finished the rest of the pastry that was wrapped in the leaves before picking up the one that was more like a muffin.
Picking at it slowly, clearly trying to not eat too fast, she listened to the girl talk and explain, slowly starting to link things together, or so she thought, between her grandmother and the other dark elves. That and the moon symbol, she kept thinking that she had seen it somewhere before, but she still couldn't quite place it. As the question about the man came up, she tilted her head about the word that she used, but kept it to herself as the next one got answered.
Smiling a little sadly about the entire poppy explanation, she finished eating about half of the muffin-like pastry when the questions were asked about her. Rubbing the back of her neck, she let out a quiet sigh, "I'm originally from a place that is now known as Sanctuary. It was a place for my kind - er, my kind being known as Metas elsewhere in the world, we're sort of ...a strange race as far as I know - to be safe as the world outside started to learn about us." Moira paused, trying to figure out just how much she could say about the outside world - she did want Kailani to come with her, after all. "Right now, the main issue in most major cities are my kind, the metas, as how we are..we're a race that pretty much exploded into being I think about thirty years ago, and now the humans aren't too happy." She chuckled a bit, then thought about the next question, one that she herself was uneasy about.
"My parents... they, well, what I can remember of them..they were both pretty distant." As she spoke, she looked up to the ceiling, her eyes half opened as she tried to recall the memories of her past. "I had two mothers... one I absolutely hated for leaving me alone, the other was just distant and didn't seem to really care until I threatened to run away...and even then it didn't really go well." she laughed a little bit, "It's honestly one of the reasons why I want to help kids who are in need of help.."
As Kalani said the word again, she looked down to where she had been looking to before - her wedding ring. "Oh - I guess that means husband..?" she asked, smiling a bit wider now, "My husband...he - I love him, and I wasn't scared at all. We get to pick ours, at least in most places I've been to, you get to pick yours..I uhm... I sort of have plans on marrying another man too - as I find myself with too much love to share.." As she spoke, she brought her hand up to touch the shark-tooth necklace she was wearing.

Kailani nodded as her questions were answered about the world she didn't know, she paused a bit, "...is that elf.. the only one?... or are there more like me out there... beyond Drisall?" she asked, hoping that maybe either she could find her family or at least more elves like her. Maybe even get more information on how they live, since it had been obviously hard on her trying to adapt in a society that thought of her as something less.
She listened to Moira speak of the place she was and about her own race. A place she'd never heard of, which was expected.. but a race she had never heard of. A fairly new one. "The metas... can do magic like you did back in Drisall?..." she asked quietly, trying her best to understand the world outside of everything she knew. The humans didn't like them, the metas. "I've always been told pretty bad things about humans... that they hurt others.. enslaves those that don't think like them.." she frowned. "I'osi told me a story that the humans came and attacked Treles a long time ago.. before it was an island.. almost destroyed everything..." she hesitated then shook her head. "So they don't like Metas either..." she looked to Moira with a sad look, "...Well I like you.. regardless of what race you are... I don't care what anyone says..." she offered up with a half sympathetic smile behind a genuine expression.
Kailani watched her face as Moira tried to recall her parents. Two mothers, and distant ones at that. She frowned as she mentioned hating one for leaving her alone, a feeling that she could relate to as she reached a hand up to her own chest and looked away. "My parents left when I was a little kid... never said anything to me... just one day, they were gone... I always thought that they maybe left to find some place better and that they would come back for me... but they never did. There was a time that I was really bitter about it, but that's gone now... no point in getting mad over something I can't control... that's how I became the village healer. I took over for my mother and...." her voice trailed off and her body language tensed slightly. She opened her mouth to say something else but stopped and just sighed.
As Moira mentioned a husband, Kailani suddenly looked to her, a slight panic but a deep pain in her eyes. " Ed' i'ear ar' elenea! He's not my husband... " she spoke suddenly then hesitated and took a deep breath, listening to what Moira spoke of picking husbands. How they were able to choose, and that Moira even sought a second one from the love she had to give. "En... He's not my husband..." she reiterated quietly before frowning, "..yet..." She thought for a moment, "We don't choose who is our lirimaer... and eventually they are fated to be together. It's not.. uhm.. arranged by anyone but the Yaaraerea themselves...the gods... and by their word, our lives are forever intertwined and this is a person I will continue to run into no matter what it is I or he does... Sigen accepts this... but I do not. He is.. nice. He does not argue with what it is I choose to do with my life... but it's just..." she wrung her hands a bit as she tried to find the best way to explain it. "...as you say you have too much love to share..... I have none..." she finally decided on the simplest way to explain it. "As I am his A'maelamin... he is mine as well... but I don't want him to keep holding onto something that isn't there... I cannot love him like he loves me.... I have never felt that way for anyone... I guess I feel bad about it, so I'm mean to him,.. but he continues to smile upon me as though I have never done anything wrong and I simply don't understand it." she looked to Moira then the shark necklace. Kailani had assumed that her own lirimaer had given it to her, but it seems her second one had, which made her only feel more of a deep feeling of isolation and loneliness. "How.. do you know if someone is the person you want to marry..."

"She's the only one I know of.." Moira stated. She couldn't recall seeing nay other elves, or at least ones that she generally knew well enough to get a good idea of how they acted.
"For the most part, yeah. I think we have the same general races as the true races, from what I've come across.." Moira let out a soft sigh, nodding about the enslaved bit, "They do that with us too - the guy I was mentioning did save a little girl from that fate." She smiled, remembering the tiny child known as Paige, though as Kailani said that she liked her, she smiled a bit more. Listening as Kailani spoke about her parents, she frowned a little bit, feeling a little bad.
A little startled by the sudden panic, she smiled sadly, eventually pulling the girl into one of her strange, one-armed hugs. "Maybe someday he will understand, he might just be blinded by adoration for you being you.." She chuckled a little bit, "As for knowing how someone is the one I want to marry..my first husband, the one the ring is from, I knew because he saved me from the darkness that I was in when I realized what was going on with my family..the second one, Arno...he's...." Moira paused, laughing a little bit, "He's exactly the person I needed in my life after what had happened to me."

Kailani frowned as Moira mentioned that she was the only one that she knew of like her. "...oh.."
Kailani listened to the explanation of how the humans were exactly how the legends and stories told. It was unfortunate but at least there was no untruth to what was being told around the island.
She was suddenly pulled into a hug as her body tensed a bit and there was a hitch in her breath as she gently relaxed and hugged Moira back. She tried to say something but her voice wouldn't let her as only a quiet noise of a whimper escaped her lips and she just nodded slowly.
After a few moments, she pulled away and wiped her own face of the evidence of tears in her eyes and forced a smile. It was quiet for the moment as she then looked out what would have been a window at the sun much lower in the sky. "A! It's getting late... we should head back... I bet they have the bonfire up in the pit now." she offered as she packed up the blanket and put the empty bottle into the bag and moved to the opening way to the outside. "I have a feeling you'll really enjoy the merende..." she commented softly as she moved.
As they walked back, she began to sing softly to herself, the song was slow and serene as she enunciated the words gently,
"cryien ar' wailien lapse' mani y' delothe anta amin will sana lle 'ksh- elees lle il- oio kela sina yamen'"
She looked thoughtfully up to the skies as they darkened slowly, as they reached back to the edge of the center of the village, Sigen walked around the corner and stopped as he saw them, a woven bag in his hand as he looked to her gently. Sigen was a clear foot taller than Kailani at least, making him look like a grown adult comparatively though his face gave away his youth as he smiled down at Kailani. "Elen sila lumenn omentilmo.." he spoke softly to her then bowed then looked to Moira, "A beauty shines bright upon thee in the setting sun, it is a pleasure to see you again, ebrath of my lirimaer." he spoke to her courteously, bowing to her.
"What do you want, Sigen..." she demanded of him with a harsh voice, frowning though as she waited for him to explain himself.
"An offering to the both of you for the merende... I will not burden your presence any further, a'maelamin..." he bowed once more, holding out the bag to Kailani.
Kailani sighed heavily and took the bag then walked around Sigen and continued on without saying anything else to him.
Sigen only smiled longingly at Kailani before looking to Moira. "May the leaves of your life tree never turn brown... Tenna' telwan." he then turned to leave in a different direction than Kailani, finding his way off into another street.
Kailani had stopped some ways away, looking down at the ground, anger and despair building slowly as she clutched the bag he had given her tight in her hand, not moving, just thinking.

As they headed back towards the village, Moira trailed behind the girl, barely hearing the song that she had been singing to herself. It was a beautiful song, one that she was now curious about, as the song seemed to be reminiscent of lullabies. As they got to the edge of the center of the village, Moira smiled sadly as Sigen appeared. After hearing what Kailani had said, she felt bad for the boy, but for Kailani as well. Maybe there was something that could be done to help the two at some point. Blinking as she was spoken to, she bowed back to him, still unsure on what the actual customs were for here.
"An offering, huh?" Moira asked with a smile, though as Sigen spoke to her again, she looked at him a little quizzically, wondering what exactly his phrase meant. It was definitely an interesting one. Walking over to Kailani after Sigen had left, she gently put her hand on the girls shoulder, "Are you alright?"

Kailani whipped around with a spiteful look at Moira as she touched her shoulder before realizing who it even was, having assumed it was Sigen trying to get her to talk. Her angry expression faded instantly into one of regret and slight shame as she frowned. "Yeah... I'm fine... " she answered before opening the bag, some kind of red cloth in the bag as Kailani narrowed her eyes sorrowfully then sighed. Taking down her backpack, she shoved the woven bag Sigen had given her into the backpack, zipped it up and pulled it up to her back again. "The fire pit is up ahead..." she spoke as if pushing aside everything going on to continue on.
As they made their way toward the center of town, the skies were darkening and the moon was full in the sky as a large fire illuminated the distance, someone was chanting in elvish and on occasion, there was a roar of voices that would join to chant certain parts of the song. The sound of deep drums and sticks against large shells accompanied with a very faint sound of a wind instrument of some sort. A conch horn sounded in the distance as some excited wild yells in the distance followed suit and the drums increased in volume and pace.
Kailani looked excited as she picked up pace and smiled back at Moira. As they arrived, there were several elves dancing rhythmically to the music, gracefully movements of the hands as their feet moved quickly, pushing them to jump and skirt quickly around the fire. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as farther out there were large logs circling the square that some of the elders, new mothers, or smaller children took seats to watch the festivities. The dancers were of all genders and ages it seemed as gold sashes with intricate indigo decorative swirls wrapped around the bodies of the dancers as they wore deep red clothes around their waists, some in the form of long skirts or as shorter embellishments over baggy black pants. The elves all had braided hair adorned with colorful flowers much like Kailani had done for Moira and herself. Everyone seemed to be wearing necklaces made by hand of red poppies and shells.
I'osi was sitting down at one of the logs, watching over the dances with a smile on her wrinkled face, glancing over to see Kailani and Moira, motioning them over. "Aa, ingolëien... you have made it.." she spoke with happiness to see her. "And Moira, our honored guest.." she smiled at her as well and motioned for them to sit.
Kailani set down her things and sat down, nodding to Moira to say that it was okay. I'osi seemed to be smoking from a pipe that was made from a dark red twisted wood much like the bramble that had surrounded the island. I'osi had offered the pipe to Kailani as some point as they watched the tribal, rhythmic dancing of the elves around the fire. She took it without much hesitation, smoking from it before giving it back to I'osi and bowed lightly to her.
"Aye, a'sum... go join them.. show your ebrath just how well you dance..." she gave a light verbal nudge to Kailani as she looked from I'osi to Moira and seemed slightly embarrassed. "Here... with the blessing of sana e' i' lith, you can show how beautifully you shine in the moonlight." I'osi offered her the pipe once more as Kailani nodded, taking from it again before bowing lightly once more then giving it back and looking to Moira with a smile.
Kailani opened the backpack and dug into the woven bag Sigen had given her to pull out a red and indigo sash among the red garments within, wrapping it around herself as she took off her shoes then moved to a stand and towards the crowd of elves that danced just ahead. As the elves noticed Kailani joining them, they roared up into excited yips and howls and Kailani laughed and joined them in their calls to the wild moon. She chanted loudly along to the music as she joined into the dance, jumping and stomping in beat with the savagery of the drums. Kailani really looked to be enjoying herself as she danced and turned along with the others, as if she'd known the dance her whole life, the synchronization showing a pattern of steps despite it's primitive and unrestrained nature of wild movement.
I'osi smiled wider watching Kailani danced before looking to Moira. "Vanimle sila tiri... She is so beautiful when she dances... Just like her mother... " she spoke softly before offering the pipe to Moira as well. "Let the blessing of sana e' i' lith bestow upon you as well, Moira.. the ebrath of our beloved Ingolëien."

Moira kept her thoughts to herself as she saw the girls reaction, though as they pushed towards the actual center of town, she started to smile wide. Her heart starting to beat a little faster at the excitement, she looked around at the entire scene, the feeling of it like that of an exciting scene to a story from many years ago. Smiling back at Kailani, she followed her, taking in a deep breath and enjoying the scent of the ocean air wafting over from the beach mixed in with the delightful earthy smell of the fire.
Walking over to I'osi, she bowed deeply, "It is just an honor to be here.." Moira said before she sat down next to Kailani, watching the other villagers dance and chant, a smile seemingly glued to her face. It had been far too long since she had enjoyed any festivities and this one was already off to a fantastic start. Looking over to the two elves as they spoke, she tilted her head a bit, then watched as Kailani put the garments on and went off to dance.
Watching with wide eyes, the tall woman leaned back in her seat and let out a small, happy sigh. "Wow.." She muttered, before turning to look to I'osi as the pipe was offered. Hesitating a moment, she reached out to take the pipe, looked at it for a second, then smoked from it. Closing one eye as the smoke filled her lungs, she handed the pipe back as she tried to not cough as he exhaled.

The pipe had a robust and earthy aroma that gave a hint of berries very similar to a lot of the smells of food about the area and to the fish pastry they had eaten earlier. I'osi nodded and smiled, looking to watch Kailani dance, who appeared to be so into the dance she moved without hesitation or thought, her hands sliding gracefully through the air as she stomped and moved about the area around the fire, making motions towards the large illuminated moon in the otherwise pitch black sky dotted with glimmers of stars far far away.
A bunch of elven children suddenly ran up to practically surround Moira, no older than 4 or 5 in age as they were obviously very excited to meet Moira. Two girls and three boys as they circled her and bounced about. "Druin says you are a shark-slayer!" one of the small girls proclaimed with a judging look to one of the three boys with her. "Urelingwen!! Urelingwen!!" the youngest boy cried out excitedly. "Manke tanya tuula?" one child asked while another shoved them aside a bit. "You had to have fought like ten sharks to get those cool teeth!!" the other girl commented. "Mani marte?" the youngest boy asked, pointing at Moira's missing arm. The oldest female looked down to the youngest boy and frowned. "Tampa tanya! You can't just ask her what happened like that! Be nice!!" she scolded. "Mankoi naa lle sinome?" another boy asked then paused, "Why are you here?" he then asked again but in common. "She got that necklace from the ocean with Sadie!" the other kids screamed a bit like youngsters afraid of some grand fairytale. "Aiya, what's your name?" the oldest asked. "Are you a Ingolënosta?" one of the boys asked, and the other girl smacked him on the shoulder. "Dolle naa lost.. she's not an elf.." she hissed at him. They all jumped about, eagerly bombarding Moira with questions about her as the five children had never seen someone who wasn't an elf before.

Coughing a little bit, Moira leaned back again, looking from the dancers up to the full moon and smiling a bit. "This is nice.." She whispered, closing her eyes for a moment and enjoying just the atmosphere before the gaggle of children ran up and bombarded her with questions. Sitting up and putting her hand up in a motion to attempt to get them to settle down, she laughed a little bit and looked at them all, their questions coming in at a rapid pace.
"I'm not a Shark Slayer, not even close." She laughed, bringing her hand up to touch the necklace, "One of the men I love is a Feral, a Shark Feral, and he gave this to me as a memento to remember him by." Moira smiled a little bit, "I came from a faraway place called Sanctuary, my name is Moira, I'm not that, I'm a half-angel... as for what happened to my arm, it's a long and complicated story." Moira smiled a bit more. "One I don't think is good for children to hear."

The children listened in wonder as Moira answered their questions. "Is the shark your lirimaer?" one girl asked as the oldest shifted her eyes away embarrassed by the question the other had brought up. "Urelingwen!! Urelingwen!!" the youngest one cried out again excitedly. "What's a Sanctuary?" one of the younger ones asked. "Varna yamen.." the other translated and they all seemed to understand it. "Ume y' alta lingwe naka lle ranqui wanwa?!" the youngest one exclaimed and the oldest glared at him. "She said not for young children. Ri' eile i' 'ksh- fea tul a mata lle!!" she spoke pointedly while leaning into them as the others started to look scared. "Tamp, I'm not afraid of the 'Ksh-fea!" the oldest boy challenged. "Right, you'll see the 'Ksh-fea will come spirit you away into the forest and eat your soul." she spoke harshly. The youngest three shrieking and running off somewhere in fear of what she said. The oldest boy stared at her. "It's not real... You'll scare the Urelingwen away and then Kailani will get mad..." he scolded back. The older girl sighed, then looked to Moira, ignoring the boy. "So your lirimaer gave you a whole necklace of shark teeth? That sounds better than what my lirimaer gave me..." she glanced over to the boy with an angry pout. He began to laugh, "I can't fight sharks..." he responded bluntly but with a smile. "So your parents aren't both the same?" the girl asked, curious and didn't seem to have ever heard of such a concept. It was truly foreign, to both of them.
