Saturday, 2:34 pmWaiting for Chel at the counter, Jamie occupied himself with looking between candy bars and gum and mints. There were even Peachie O's, and well, he couldn't resist. A bag of gummy candy found its way next to his icee as she returned to check him out.
"Yeah... this should be it," he said with a small smile, gently pushing both drink and snack a tiny bit forward. Digging into his pocket, he retrieved and unfolded a small stack of fives.

Chel took the money and made the necessary button-presses on the cash register to complete the transaction. "Peachie-Os. Nice choice."
She said her scripted "and your change will be" line before giving him change and his receipt back. While he moved out, she gave a little wave and said, "Thanks fer yer help little man. Come back any time."

Saturday, 2:34 pmSpilling his icee on the floor like a loser had it's ups, honestly, even if it had been embarrassing. At least he could say in the end he'd gotten the size and flavor he wanted before his awkward overreaction ruined what he'd been going for. Chel had been surprisingly cool, too, because let's be real, Jamie didn't expect a damn thing from convenience store employees. If all she'd done was not mocked him rather than go to the extend she did to make him feel decent about himself, well, that would've been just fine.
"No problem," he assured, scooping up his change, drink, and snack. "And um... thank you, too. See you!" A smile later and he was gone, out the door to enjoy the rest of his day, all the while debating whether or not to tell Shiloh about what had happened.chiickadee finally done no thanks to me ouo/ THANKS FOR THE RP
