"Kidnap princesses, fight knights, eat virgins," Aodh replied and was, thankfully enough, already red enough from the wine that the flush that he turned was not any worse. "You already have a treasure hoard, you know ..." He made a gesture for the other to get the remote, to put something on. ".. and I don't know what that makes me," was added with a huff. "I am scarred enough to be a knight now, I suppose, but I don't feel like one."

"Step one- scars." Jaro lifted his glass to that again, "Step two- you punched a guy tonight." He laughed, "I think you're well on your way little knight." Aodh was hardly little. Yes he was beginning to notice, but it sounded good. His feet wiggled more, slipping further under Aodh, "Put something oooonnn..." It was a wine induced whine.

"I should've punched the thing that scarred me. I'm doing this wrong," Aodh sighed into his glass and took another drink. His nose wrinkled up at being called little knight. He was hardly little anymore but ... Well, Jaro was still taller than him. That was alright, he supposed. The whine got a small laugh. "Alright but you can't complain at all if I pick something you don't like." Which did involve some careful leaning across Jaro in some way to get the remote to turn on the television and flip through his DVR collection to find something to watch.

"You were too busy bleeding out, " Jaro snickered, "I won't complain- Promise." Except the tone of his voice had him snickering again because him complaining was a very real option and he was too drunk now to fake it. When Aodh leaned Jaro leaned closer, "At least you smelled good on your date."

There was another face made by Aodh at the entire bleeding out thing. The comment about him smelling good had him freezing in place, eyes widening and turning to stare at Jaro. This time the flush did get worse, it was noticeable, as he finally grabbed at the remote. It took two attempts but he managed it. "You're the worst, Jaro, the worst."

Jaro shrugged, "Why because I tell the truth?" Another shrug, another sip of his wine, and the glass was empty. He leaned for the bottle before Aodh had moved fully away and bumped him with a snicker, then shoved at him gently so he could get more wine and near slide off of the sofa.

"... just because," he replied, then huffed and fell backwards with a hiss of breath. "Also because you're shoving the injured person around." Aodh was now sulking, arm wrapping around his side for effect.

"Aww..." He actually pouted, "I'll behave I promise.." But the wine bottle was empty. Jaro went to stand and everything went to his head, it swam, and he fell back into his seat. "Put something on.." The idea of getting more wine seemed hard now. He grabbed a piece of cheese, munched on it, and then fell sideways with no ******** and his head was in Aodh's lap. Up close he actually had an alcoholic blush of his own. "If I pass out I can't assault you." His pale green eyes flicked to Aodh, "You know, being the horrible person I am."

"I don't believe you," Aodh replied, sighing and then shifting when Jaro landed in his lap. A hand ended up going to rest on his shoulder a moment. "You should be careful, Jaro ..." Then he was picking up the remote, not thinking about the fact that the older man was in his lap. The comment about assault had his ears turning pink and he looked up suddenly towards the television and the menu to pick something out. "I still don't believe you," he said again.

"Hmmm," Jaro, now laying, was keen on getting comfortable and pulled his robe around him a bit and curled his legs under his many pillows. "You probably shouldn't. I'm not very trustworthy." He watched the menu screen and rubbed an itch on his cheek against the younger man's leg.

The rubbing of Jaro's cheek on his leg made Aodh smile a bit. He shifted a little himself, eventually settling with his arm across the other because there was no other place to put it. His hand found a bit of hair to twine around his fingers. "... I do trust you, you know," he told him after he picked the next episode of the drama he had been watching with Jaro, "and you're kind of the best even if I say you're the worst sometimes."

Jaro's eyes drifted back up to Aodh and then rolled, "Getting a bit heavy handed now, little knight." Because he didn't believe for a second that he was trustworthy or the best. Well no he was definitely the best but fully aware that it didn't usually involve other people and only his ridiculous self-serving lifestyle. "What about that time I told you the statue was you? Can't trust me for a second."

"Is that going to be a thing now? Not ode to joy anymore? Now I'm little knight?" Not sure which one was better or worse, to be honest. "Maybe I just know that underneath everything you're terrible in all the right ways." It was true or so he thought. Aodh liked Jaro just fine. At his best, at his worst, even in between. Otherwise he would not have stuck around. He rubbed a hand across his warm cheeks. "You never did tell me what that was." A finger was poked into Jaro's cheek. At this point, even with a couple glasses in him, Aodh was clearly a little on the drunk side.

The face poke had Jaro snapping his teeth playfully at the finger. "Mermaid. It wasn't even close to done."

Aodh's finger wagged at Jaro and pulled away. It settled back and found a piece of hair to play with. His eyes were half-closed. Alcohol made him sleepy every time. At least this amount did, anyway, and he was feeling comfortable. "Mm, I can see that. Would've guessed that eventually but it was one of your projects. I don't like knowing until it's done."
