Chalcedony looked over at the girl who said that the spare room was 'nice' much to his surprise, then gave a little nod as she said that she could 'sleep in the corner'. He looked back into the room then said, "Well, once I get the pallet bed put together you can feel free to rearrange things to your liking. I should also see about clearing some of the shelves for your use as well." He gave a slow, thoughtful nod, before he said, "Well, feel free to check the room out while I find a pillow and blankets."
Giving the girl a nod he went to find those two things as well as anything else that she might need. He wasn't certain, but he would grab anything that appeared as though it might be useful as far as her setting up the room in a manner that would make it more livable. Once everything was handed over to her he'd see about heading outside to hang out on the porch, to keep an eye out for the twins to see if they were visiting today, wanting to let them know what was going on before they ran across the girl by accident. He didn't want any sort of confusion to be had by anyone after all, especially when many conclusions could be drawn by her presence.
The last thing he wanted were any awkward situations between his sons and the new comer to their place.
