After Rescue (DH's journal)

Ganged Up By The Past(Part 1)

Zaku was outside, sitting down as he let a local stray cat. Enjoying a little time before they would go get Stormy and Akash. He had been in contact with Rasiel off and on, making sure she was okay. Honestly, he was worried about her, but didn't want to show it. Didn't want to, but was. Rubbing beneath the calico's chin, he gave a faint smile. "...must be nice..." he chuckled.

"Nice?" a soft but cold voice questioned as Tri locked the door behind him. Silver eyes turned back with a flicker of a question as he eyed the calico and then Zaku again. It was not followed up by a glare but it could easily be. Instead he pocketed the key and walked toward then, eyeing the cat with only the faintest of curiosity.

Zaku blinked and looked up to Tri curiously. "Hmm? Oh, I meant being a cat.." he admitted with a chuckle. He held the cat to a sit and squeezed his laws a bit as the cat meowed with content to be given affection. "I think it would be nice to be a cat... Just pad around, eat fish, sleep all day..." he chuckled the pulled the cat back down into a laying position and kept letting him. "I don't know, that's just what I was thinking I guess...."

"Hm ...lazy thoughts from you. You surprise me every day" he said sarcastically as he watched them both and finally shook his head. "What you are describing is an owned cat who doesn't need to go hunting for its own food and if it sleeps all day it will just starve" he said watching Zaku, "Food and companionship in exchange for its freedom " he said quietly.

"Maybe one day you'll surprise me instead..." he laughed genuinely and set the cat down as it wandered off and he stood up. "I suppose so.. You have a point." he tilted his head and smiled. "Like I said, it was just a thought." he commented then put his hands behind his head, shifting his weight a bit. "Time to go, then?"

Tri let his gaze follow the cat for a while before shifting his gaze back to Zaku. Watching him as if he was a little surprised that he gave in so easily. "Everything is locked and closed. " he confirmed as he motioned for Zaku to lead the way, unhappy that most of his own children's whereabouts depended on the former renegade leader's resources or knowledge. Saying nothing more he extended his wings and waited, a little standoffish but otherwise stoic even when inside he felt only worry and concern for Hexxis. Her last journal entry was at the edge of her giving up and he had not meant ot hurt her or make her feel like she needed to prove herself. That had never been his goal.

He wanted to get this done so they could figure out what to do with them then search, or he could search alone.

Leaves shifting was the only warning either of them got as a tiger attempted to leap at Zaku from a large space within the a shrub. The dense twigs mess with the jump but she still tried.

Zaku had gotten pretty used to DH's ambushes by now, he dodged out of the way, chuckling a bit. "Nice try." he commented with a jovial smile. "Lets head out.. DH, why don't you come to?" he offered, kicking off the ground into levitate, spinning to make sure they were following before flying off for sanctuary.

DH missed completely and flicked her tail as she looked up at him and stuck out her tounge. A minute later she shifted from tiger back to her normal form clothes and all as she looked between them. "You were already heading off?" She asked a little surprise how lucky she had been when she had been meaning to ask. Catching Tri's nod she grin "Sure" before taking wing after Zaku as Tri followed behind them keeping and eye on their surroundings.

They flew toward Sanctuary, meeting at the mansion just outside the grounds. As Zaku descended, he walked up to the door and moved to knock but the door opened before he could.

Rasiel stood there, a finger over his lips as he motioned for them to come inside. "She's still asleep..." he commented in a whisper. "She stayed up pretty late watching a movie last night." he explained, a hint of a smile pressed at the edges of his lips but never surfaced. Not with Tri there. He looked over to DH and gave a small nod of acknowledgement. "It's good to see you're all okay..."

DH smiled back at him, looking more than a little relieved. "Good to see you in one piece. How did things go? Does she knows we are here or ..." she winced if wondering if they had to go through a third drop, run, fight.

Tri stayed back behind the other two as they spoke with Rhun, observing the other meta with blank eyes.

They sent Ree here for his first mission, to find what Sanctuary was truly about and if they had any links to the Renegades.

The information they had gathered had been useful but truthfully neither he or Mara had expected Ree to find much and he didn't before he was found out except what he did find has been haunting them to this day. There was also Rhun, sporting a new scar and an obvious lack of mask now.

He just stayed out of it, observing and taking note how the other looked like he was about to smile when Stormy was mentioned.

Rhun appeared to be avoiding direct eye contact with tri as he addressed DH. "I told her about it, she was trying to stay up but fell asleep a few minutes ago. I figured I'd let her sleep until you arrived."

Zaku smiled, "Ahh, at least she didn't get mad hearing we were coming back." he chuckled nervously.

"...you'd be surprised..." Rhun muttered under his breath. "She's in the bedroom if you want to go in there to see her."

DH looked at Rhun and raised a brow. "So I guess that means that she is?. What are we walking into? just to be prepared" she asked knowing from other times that there was going to be something especially after what happened last time they left. Being hated was not off the list either.
Moving forward she made to head past and go into the mansion.

Tri stayed back, quite content to being ignored.

Rhun shook his head. "Nothing like that." he commented before motioning to the large hallway that led to the bedrooms. "Second one on the right." he instructed then wave a stern look. "Stay out of the others." he spoke warningly. "But go on in. I'd go in and get her but she doesn't like being touched, so I'd to continue to respect that."

Zaku looked to Rhun then to DH. He stepped to continue on before looking back to Tri and frowning. "Lets go." he offered to Tri with a slight smile.

DH looked at him curiously but nodded, glancing fugitively around out of curiosity as she headed to the room indicated. Glancing back at Zaku and Tri she sighed as she noticed they had lagged behind. Knocking on the door she waited.

Tri frowned faintly but said nothing as he followed them inside. Truthfully a little curious about the inside of the mansion but if DH trusted him.... even with obvious renegade ties.....it didn't matter now did it.....it wasn't as if he had anything to do other than keep watch.

There was a small quiet groan from inside the room as soft feet touched the ground and moved over to the door and opened it. She slowly stared up at DH, sleepy eyes blinking a bit before they widened and she gasped. Practically throwing herself into hugging her leg. "DH!!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Zaku moved behind DH now that Tri was following. He witnessed Stormy hugging DH, and he began to smile softly. She seemed happy, and that made him happy in return.

Stormy looked over to see Zaku and Tri, a shy look on her face as she blinked and hugged DH a little tighter meekly. She gave a small wave to them both before looking around then up to DH. "Where is Akash?"

DH blinked and laughed softly as Stormy hugged her leg. "Well.... just well..." she smiled looking up at Rhun with a raised brow, never expecting a change like this and wondering what has happened for it to do so. Reaching down she lightly hugged her with her wings "He will be coming this afternoon. How about you? how have you been hm? "

Tri didn't return to wave or smile as he looked at Stormy then looked up at Rhun. "You have an interesting way with children. Or did you promise her something?"

Behind them steps came down the stairs and slowed as they neared the landing. "Hello?" Estrian's voice called out, wondering if Rhun had gone out, he hadn't meant to fall asleep here but was grateful, at least wanting to say thank you before he headed back up to Sanctuary.

Stormy smiled with a jovial excitement about getting to see Akash but the smile slowly faded as Tri commented about promising her something, a somber frown looking away as she pushed away from DH and stood there awkwardly, almost defeated.

Zaku frowned, giving a quick look to Tri and sighed. Looking back to Stormy, he smiled. "How have you been Stormy?"

"...I...I..." she appeared to be having trouble with formulating the words. She frowned more. "...i watched a movie with doctor man..." she finally forced out quietly.

Rhun frowned as he asked about promises to Stormy. He sighed, shaking his head. As a voice called out, he looked back to see Estrian. "Oh, you're awake.. how are you feeling? Sorry for Stormy keeping you up so late last night..." he spoke calmly.

Tri looked back at Zaku emotionlessly, Rhun had the opportunity to warn them. Looking back at Stormy he frowned faintly as a familiar voice rang out behind him. His eyes widen in alarm as he turned sharply to look back just as Estrian stepped off the landing and looked into the hallway.

"No problem. It was fun I doubt I would have even talked myself into watching it "The smile on the angel's face froze as he spotted Tri and it quickly turned into a frown as he narrowed his eyes at the Archangel, opening his mouth and nothing came out.

"Trisuri..." he said harshly after a few seconds as he narrowed his eyes at him, wings were flared and bristled as he looked like he wanted to step forward.

The surprised look on Tri's face quickly faded to a stoic look as he stared at Estrian and frowns ever so slightly. "If you here then Kage must be around"

Estrian looked stunned for a moment then guilty as he was left floundering since -that- was not the first thing that he expected, nor in front of Rhun either...that he knew Kyler even after andy and everything that happened.

"Single-minded as always. " he said angrily "After what you did ...-that- is the only thing you can say? Don't you even care?! "

Tri shifted his wings in discomfort as he glanced to the side. "There is nothing to say on the matter. If I knew you were back here I would have stayed away" he said simply, glancing toward the door then back.

"Of course you would, you don't have the backbone to even stay to explain your thoughts! you just freaking ran!"

DH looked, already sighing mentally at Tri's lack of tact when the anger behind her made her turn to look back with a flicker of surprise.

Rasiel blinked in a flicker of surprise as the two immediately jabbed at each other verbally. "He's not with him. Kage isn't allowed here. The only way he's getting past me in a body bag." he hissed.

Zaku immediate trained his gaze on the white haired male that he had seen during the rescue. "I'm honestly having a hard time believing he's not associated with him when he was affliated in Hexxis' kidnapping..." Zaku spoke up defensively.

"...really... You would question my validity?" Rhun narrowed his gaze.

Zaku took a deep breath. Nope, he wasn't falling into this trap again.

"Maybe this was a bad idea..."

Zaku growled, "Don't."

Rhun kept a stern expression, eyes locked on him. "You know, I feel a little uneasy letting her stay with him. "

"Well isn't it nice you don't get a choice."

Rhun sighed and looked to Stormy who was backing up with frown before running back into the bedroom and slamming the door.

Rhun crossed his arms. "I think there's a lot of explaining that needs to be done." he spoke with a stern voice, narrowed eyes on Zaku and Tri.

Tri turned away from Estrian sharply and focused on Rhun. "You don't have a say in the matter. I am sorry they were forced to ask you for help, I am grateful for what you did but you have -no- rights to her " he said with a warning.

Estrian frowned " He asked me to heal Hexxis.... she was suffering from a fever that you and SIU put her in. " he started and stop as Tri turned away, alarm then anger flickering through his gaze as his suspicions were right, Stormy was Tri's child but ..with who?. Looking over at the blonde hair man he frowned and looked back at Tri. "Maybe he should, he was raiseding her better than you did both your other children. " he said bitterly. "Or is that your goal? have them all get bounties or warrants like you?"

Tri clenched his teeth then relaxed his jaw "Estrian, if you want to fight it out we can do that later. I am here to pick up Stormy and go" he said looking to DH.

DH raised a brow and frowned looking between them all as Stormy headed back into the room.

"I never suggest I did. Only that I feel uncomfortable with it..." Rhun shot back.

"SIU wouldn't do that to her, thats her family. And we certainly as hell didn't." Zaku clenched his teeth, getting angry.

"While I can't say SIU didn't do any better with Hexxis... I do know you didn't exactly treat Stormy like an actual daughter. And don't get me started on the stabbing." he growled.

"Tri is doing his best, but you wouldn't know that..." Zaku defended Tri. "Don't think I haven't seen your picture on that board either..."

"We are all wanted at some point... So why don't you drop it...."

"Why don't you suck a-.."

"Really?!" Rhun exclaimed in outrage as he took steps forward.

Zaku narrowed his eyes at Rhun. "Really!!"

"I doubt that someone would throw that into a discussion without wanting to see if there was a way to avoid it" he returned before narrowing his eyes. "Ah the stabbing, lets bring that up, No I don't consider her my daughter, because I don't treat anyone who tries to kill their own family as part of that family. I don't care if she is a child or not, she made her position quite clear without any remorse. She is still related to me so I will do my best to make sure she at least grows to be able to do what she wants. " he blinked and glance at Zaku then back to Rhun sharply.

"We are all wanted at some point? Now that is new... I made it my business to know who has had a bounty and warrant and I never seen a Rhun.....who are you?" he said sharply.

Estrian blinked and frowned distracting him "So she is -your- daughter. With who? him?" he said looking at Zaku and shook his head pityingly. " I don't know how in the world you got him to make another egg but it won't last, he will always choose Mara and SIU over you...he'll even take the egg " he said accusingly.

Tri bristled his feathers "Ree would have been dead within months if he had stayed with you. I do not have any regrets" he said while he kept staring at Rhun. He blinked and let out a soft pain sound as he crumpled, his legs not responding as he slammed into the ground, staring for a moment with flicker of fear in his eyes before it was hidden by a stoic look.

Estrian was staring at him furiously. "Yes, being wanted by the entirety of Treterra is so much better. I never even knew his name while Hexxis was much better off with Kylar than she ever was with you. He was at least trying to help her instead of using her as a weapon. Now you're here coming to ruin some other child's life, do you get some sick joy from this?"

DH frowned as she moved forward realizing this was only getting darker than better and Zaku had already let out that Rhun might not be who he seemed.

"She tried to kill you and your response is to stab her with no regrets. She is still a kid.. Honestly, why am I not surprised..." Rhun sighed before it was brought up about the bounties and warrants. But before he had a chance to defend himself, estrian cut in distracting him.

"We didn't have an egg. Good ol' Dr. Kae decided it would be a fantastic idea to use our DNA to some sick twisted means of replicating... Gaia knows what..." Zaku chimed back, "And I trust him enough, so you can save your breath about eggs and choices because that's none of your damn business."

Zaku paused, realizing what was being hinted at here. "Wait... Ree's parent??" he asked suddenly with a flicker of confusion. But tri had hit the ground and he quickly rushed to help him. "Are you okay?"

Rhun shook his head, "Stormy was actually excited to see you both again. Which I never expected after how she was when I first talked to her. But looks like you both ruined that for yourselves." he commented dryly.

As soon as Estrian mentioned Hexxis being better off with Kylar, his eyes lighting up in fury as he growled. "He was trying to control her!! Dont you see that?! You really think someone who erases a girl's memories, forces her to have kids with him, and chases her down is honestly going to be innocent about Hexxis. The hell do you think he was going to do with her?! Sure as hell wasn't a tea party!" Zaku yelled.

Estrian continued to look furious as he moved his gaze from Tri to Zaku. "SIU forced him to erase her memories or didn't Tri tell you -that-. Knowing it could have happened I ...really don't know what to think. Kylar told me he was trying to save Hexxis from a similar fate and lo and behold they are attacked " he glared at them both.

Tri grimaced unable to move his legs at all and just s**t Rhun a glare before turning back to Estrian as he tried again to move. "As if you were ever a good judge of character, you were completely isolated then and I am sure you were completely isolated now. What do you even know of what is happening to comment? You're being childish... as always "

"If I am then where are Hexxis and Ree? Shouldn't they be here to come pick up their sister?" He glared as Tri clenched his teeth staring back then finally looking away.

"Goodness Gracious ..... can one person out of all of you even tell me what you are fighting over? Because it isn't Stormy..." DH interrupted up finally as she stopped near Rhun then a few steps to the side so she could see them all. "From what I can see your all trying to hurt each other the best way you can so I am wrong someone please tell me the main point if all this and -you- don't start paralyzingly people because you don't like them" she narrowed her eyes at Estrian. "No one here is attacking each other's physically and how about we keep it like that. " she let out a sigh. "At this rate either the kids attack us or we end up fighting each other....so tell me is there even a point this time?"

She was already like that because of Haven, you piece of-.." Zaku, as calm as he usually was, was brimming with unbridled rage. He shot a glare from Estrian to Rhun then back. He was focused on the angel now, absolutely livid about it all, "I'm beginning to see why he left in the first place if you're this much of an unruly man child with rose-colored glasses just like him. " he motioned to Rhun angrily.

"I find it funny how you know so much about Hexxis and yet I've only heard about her a month or two ago, it's like you didn't want me to know s**t about her!" Rhun jabbed, crossing his arms, trying to use any ounce of sanity to keep from stepping forward and knocking the hell out of Zaku. Oh, it would have been nice as pay back for before but he was trying to be civil... trying.

"As if we would tell you where either of them are with your antics. Its unbelievable you'd think someone would be as much of an idiot to let them around you."

"You don't even know him, and you're being asinine and petty to a stranger when I know you're just pissed at me... s**t, you're probably jealous in your skewed mind because of him... Its remarkable."

Zaku was clenching his teeth, trying to control his anger, fists shaking as DH spoke.

"She has a point. If you came for Stormy, shouldn't you be more concerned about her then kicking up pointless fights with us." he commented bluntly.

It would have been nice to hear the commentary Rhun was being passive aggressive in speaking. Oh, but he was already moving, ready to tackle the angel to the ground. "Paralyzing?! What the fu-..!!"

Rhun had already stepped forward, shoving Zaku to the ground. "And how much better are you by attacking him?!"

Zaku was already coming up off the ground, ready for a fight as Rhun was already to defend.

"Unruly? Man-child? Antics? " he growled outraged. "I don't even known you and here I was ready to pity you but the more I watch the more you act jus-" he stopped and flared his wings, sparking in warning as Zaku came only to watch Rhun move between them and shove the muse back. "-t like him. Hiding everything, expecting people to know things that are way out of their league because that is what your working on now. We both have the right to see them, we're both their other parent! and it's obvious extremely obvious you both have absolutely no idea how to raise a child or even protect one " he said looking at Zaku at the last part.

Tri pushing himself to turn in their direction as Zaku left to...defend him? "Estrian, maybe you should leave the fighting to people who won't berserk and kill everyone in range. Just like every other time you opened your mouth. That is why I took the egg, outside of you likely letting it die from neglect and paralyzingly me when I did something you didn't like!" he threw out in frustration and fear as he kept shoving himself into a turn as sudden realization struck and the words slipped through. "Rasiel " he whisper but it might still be heard as he looked toward Rhun.

Estrian turned and glared past Zaku at Tri, not recognizing the name he said and not caring. "I did that for you...you're to much often a ..." he looked at loss for words to even explain his anger.

DH moved behind Zaku and tried to grab him.

"Yeah?! And where were you.. I didn't see you looking for them, sitting pretty in hiding while the other parent travels across Tretera just to protect them. I can't believe how naive and selfish you are!!" he was yelling at Estrian even if he really meant the words for Rhun. He took a step to swing at Rhun but was grabbed by DH.

If Rhun had wings, theyd be fully flared by now. "Yeah, just like I took care of our daughter for seven years while you were in a coma, only for you to wake up and immediately run off to play Renegades again. You promised you were done with that, and you fell so quickly back into it... I bet he made the same promises to you too... Don't believe him." he hissed, directing the last sentence at Tri.

"Hey and it looks like you two are a perfect match, berserkers, anger problems. I'm surprised Melody was alive after seven years. Leukos told me how you were never there for her. Treated her like an experiment instead of a daughter!"

"How dare y-..." Rhun took a deep breath, "I'm not doing this, I'm not playing your game. You want to fight with someone, fight with your new boyfriend or whatever. I'm checking in Stormy. Or did you forget about her already?" Rhun moved to the bedroom, knocking then opened the door and went inside, closing the door behind him.

Zaku made a noise of frustration as he watch Rhun leave the hallway.

DH held Zaku, it was no great hardship as she pulled him from Estrian and gave the other a warning look as she let Zaku go near Tri. This was a mess, if she was told she would see something worse than when Tri kept messing up every attempt to make progress between the twins, Zaku and himself she would have laughed. Well now she saw it, who would have expected Tri's bf? husband? to be there too. //So......you know Tri just said Rasiel's real name...and in a few hours Mara will know too?//she said dryly at all of them except Estrian and Tri.

//Unless it doesn't matter to either of you that the headmaster for Sanctuary could be found to be the highest bounty in existence, maybe nulling all the hard work to make this place an actual Sanctuary because neither party could be civil to each other and keep the one person with ties to SIU from knowing //

Estrian stared after Rhun but turned his glare at Zaku. "I never knew him. I was wanted by SIU and had to hide! He likely used the egg as a bargaining chip for his precious contract, if I knew I wouldn't have let him take it" he hissed then look after Rhun and back. "You must also be the two bit healer who healed Stormy and forgot to reconnect her receptors. Do us all a favor and just burn that skill from your mind before you kill someone " he said looking to Tri with a glare and moving to head toward the front of the mansion.

Tri said nothing already shifting to shadow form that allowed him to move and headed after Rhun.

//This was his fault!// Rhun and Zaku thought in almost complete unison.

//What do I do to remedy this... I can't have him telling Mara...// Rhun thought, trying to keep calm, the voice in his head putting him on edge as it stirred up memories of a time he tried to forget.

"Well if I hadn't done it at all, shed be dead. So you can just-..." he was refraining from cursing, replacing it with frustrated noises. "At least I can get better at healing... It's unfortunate about your bad attitude."

Stormy was inside the room, bundled into the blankets, listening to the mp3 player as she cried softly, trying not to hear the telling anymore. He came and set down next to her, not moving to touch her but stayed with her. "...sorry you had to see all that.. why don't you show me how you sing again, you like that, right?" he offered with a slight smile.

Stormy took off one of the headphones and looked down to the floor. ♫ Secret, hidden underneath it. Trying hard to keep it safely out of reach. Creeping, I can feel it breathing, Calling to the surface, Finally in my dreams. ♫ she sang very softly, just trying to ignore the world for now.

"Pot kettle black " Estrian responded before just leaving the house entirely and heading up toward Sanctuary.

//I don't know // DH said quietly turning to look at Tri only to watch him be replaced by a shadow. //shoot, incoming he's in shadow form//

Tri slipped under the door and reformed, winged flared only to pause and stare at Stormy as she sang. Silently silver eyes turned to look at Rhun and finally back at Stormy. Saying nothing he left, slipping back under the door leaving the mansion completely.

DH frowned //he gave me permission to... leave Stormy where ever she wants to be //

Zaku exhlaes with distress as he ran his hands through his hair. "....dammit..."

Rhun frowned as Tri formed into the room, making no moves to stop him or defend the situation.

Stormy looked up to suddenly see Tri, her tear stained eyes widening as she stopped singing immediately and watched as he left. In an instance she bolted for the door, throwing it open, running past DH and Zaku and out of the house through the front door.

"Stormy!" Rhun called out as she left, following her quickly but, just as always, she was a little faster than him.

//Where is she going?!// Zaku thought in alarm, trying to grab her as she ran past but failed.

Zaku sighed, //of course he did...//

DH reached out for Stormy but she wasn't expecting her to even appear or rush out of the house. She sighed and put her hand on her head "I am wondering when this will start getting better not worse" she muttered staring out the door where everyone left leaving Zaku and her alone in the mansion. ".... Lets go find them " she frowned shifting into tiger form and taking off out the door after Stormy.

Tri shadowed his way out of the mansion and down the hill, knowing if he chased Est that Est would just do worse until he calms down. Then there was Stormy singing to Rasiel the child killer, the monster....someone DH was vouching for...doing a better job than any of them. He didn't have to fight knowing she was better of with one of them and they will likely have her grow up better than what he could do.

Rhun gave a look to Zaku as he passed but sighed. Why did every conversation with the muse end up like this..

Zaku ignored the look and nodded to DH and moved out the door at a fast pace.

Stormy kept running, reaching up and over the hill quickly, picking up speed as she ran down the hill, unable to stop as she dove right through Trisuri, tripping at the bottom of the hill to hit the floor hard, sliding a small distance before laying there for a few moments, breathing heavily.

Rhun stopped at the top of the hill but paused as he watched her dive for Tri and fall. Frowning as he waited to see what happened, not caring that Zaku was quick to make his way to stand at the hill as well.

DH slowed as well stopping as she reached the top of the hill by them and shifted back, squinting slightly but watching.

Tri jerked back as he turned to face what had gone through him just as he was about to readied himself to zoom further out. What he expected was not what he found, Stormy laying in the ground looking as if she had tried to tackle him and missed. Why was she here, she should be up there with the others. Glancing up he spotted everyone in the top of the hill and narrowed his eyes, the only permanent feature of his form, as he turned to Stormy and floated over to her. Kneeling in front of her as he narrowed his eyes and waited.

Stormy finally lifted her head, tears and scuff marks lining her small face. "...why are you leaving again..." she asked quietly, frowning. "....i'm really sorry..." she muttered, more tears building at the corners of her eyes as she put her head back down, laying there. "....stop hating me..." she demanded softly, her voice weak as it was the only way she really knew how to communicate.

The shadow stared down at her motionless after she finished as if waiting. After a few moments it silently knelt down and shifted itself so it was sitting with its legs curled up to its side as it leaned its weight on one arm. Once that was done he solidified and continued to stare at Stormy stoically."Why do you care. You wanted me gone you made that abundantly clear" he glared slightly, embarrassed but it was not the first time Estrian has done this but it is the first time he had to talk to someone like this.

Stormy mumbled, her face still in the ground as she curled her arms to rest her face on them. "...i don't know... you're mean... but I don't want to be alone..." she answered softly, a quiet sob before she continued. "...why do you hate me so much.." she asked, sniffling but still not lifting her head. "...why did you leave..."

Ganged Up By The Past (part 2)

"You attacked my shadow with a gun, it was luck that it was my shadow and not someone else. Then you attempted to stab me. You are willful to the point of exasperation, have no care for authority or even the life and feelings of others and if your brother was here you would not be asking me this question. " he took a breath, emotionless as he continued."I left because you were taken care of by Zaku and I wish to finally return to where I would be needed instead of playing the farce of a family" he said brutally truthful.

Stormy lifted her head and frowned. "...but I'm sorry..." she muttered then wiped her face, trying not to cry. She pushed herself to a stand, choking on a few sobs before biting her lip in refusal to cry more than she was. "...f-fine!... I.. didn't want you to be my family anyway!!" she yelled, closing her eyes tightly, "...we don't need you!!" she screamed as tears broke through and she turned and ran off back towards the mansion but came to a stop at the top of the hill to throw herself into hugging DH's leg tightly and broke down into tears.

Zaku frowned and sighed. If there was a worst attempt at talking to a child, this was it.

DH looked to Rhun as Stormy ran toward them."what happened? How did she change so much?" She asked with a flicker pity for Stormy and Tri one because of what the other said and the other because he obviously didn't have a clue how to talk to children. She asked him his reasons and he told her.

DH carefully lowered both her wings around Stormy instead of leaning down to try and hug her directly as she looked back down at Tri seriously.

Tri stayed blank in face of her yell and was obviously struggling to get up before he just shifted back to shadow form.~Zaku...are you still sure you want to keep working with him? Still trying? ~ reminded for a moment of an injured bird and he struggled feeling exasperated instead of anger for once.//He can't talk to a child and is likely carrying his own problems without realizing he is. He was truthful at least...cuttingly so//she gave a mental sigh, wondering what made him so blind and cold. Looking down at Stormy she shook her head "he...might come around" she said trying to be hopeful but looked at Zaku remembering what she told him last, they would need someone he trust there to even make sense of things.

Rhun frowned. "I talked to her... I told her about how my mother abandoned my sister and I as a child. Multiple times. I told her that it was going to be okay... That tri didn't hate her, and that Zaku only wanted the best for her. Usually doesn't work but after thinking no one was coming back for her, she was very receptive to the postive words." he explained softly. "She told me she wanted to travel with you and her brother. That was her anchor over the last week or so."

Zaku was just staring in a somber disbelief. This was not how he had hoped their reunion would turn out. "Stormy, he doesn't hate you." he commented as he kneeled down to her level but kept a small distance from her. "He is just not used to who you are... just like a stranger." he tried to explain, but he was no better at talking to kids. The only thing he would openly admit Rasiel was better at than him. //I still want to try...// he commented.

"...he hates me.... I said sorry..." she muttered through sobs, hugging DH's leg tighter.

DH blinked and looked up at him surpised before looking back down at Stormy and very lightly reaching out to pats her head with the tips of her fingers unless she disagrees. //I can't... a few months ago I might have been able but now we have to stay here for some time longer// she thought back to them except Stormy.

Glancing at Zaku she winced and looked at Stormy "He's not good with ..people. He isn't trying to be mean ...I can see it. I just don't think he knows any other way " she had been able to say children but seeing Tri interact she was pretty sure it was not just them. If it wasn't that she could see into his heart she could have sent him packing long long ago, maybe even get Mara involved. Except there they didn't have any idea how to work with them and Rhun did, she would tie him up and throw him in a closet before he continue to break what progress there had been. //If I couldn't see his heart....::sighs:: we're defending someone neither of us really know // she sent directly to Zaku, not wanting another fight to break out like what happened in the mansion.

//She might no be opposed to waiting to travel if she's with you. The only two things she spoke highly of in her time here was you and her brother.// Rhun thought out with a physical sigh. //But if you can't.... I can. I have the money for it, and with Mara soon to be suspicious of me, it's best I take a vacation as soon as possible...//

Zaku sighed, //Well... I know Rasiel... If there's anyone that I know can work the best with kids... it's him. I know, surprising..." Zaku thought for a while, //Maybe Rasiel will take them... if Tri is so determined to treat her like an adult and killer....//

Stormy was still crying softly, letting DH pet her, for once not flinching away from her touch. It appeared she had become much more comfortable with the idea of DH, especially since she was left alone.

//It would be good for you to take a vacation..... -very- soon... like maybe this afternoon. // she said running her hand through her hair with his other hand only to end the motion by grabbing the tips. //I don't know... I mean a few days at what is considered a Sanctuary is a little different than wandering ....the world? // she said to Rhun before turning her attention to Zaku. //He just offered to take them with him as he uh took a vacation due to Mara. Stormy wants to go with me and her brother... I can't travel out of the city so soon.. not yet at least// she let out a mental sigh as she opened it to both of them. // I am uncomfortable letting them both out with just Rhun...If Tri is so determine to treat her like an adult and killer then do we push them or do we take this time to change him? Something has to change actually...we are also acting like we can't stop him from telling Mara... he's still paralyzed and he can't exactly to directly to her. He will get a message to her.... so what do we do. ideas both of you....// she muttered, two she could handle four... she wasn't sure who to throw first. She continue to lightly touch Stormy's head waiting for the other two before she said anything.
Tri was back in shadow form and traversing his way down.

Rhun frowned, //I can travel nearby, until you can join us, then the four of us could travel for a while. If you don't feel comfortable with just me.// he offered, trying to find the best solution. Looking down to Tri, he sighed. "He is inevitably going to say something... There's no way around that.." he admitted in defeat of that idea.
//Now is the time to make him change. Stormy is doing better, making the effort. She only apologized out of fear before but now.... Now she appears to mean it. She can be worked with and so can Tri.// Zaku spoke, determined to give them a chance at a family.

Stormy looked back to watch Tri still leaving with tears in her eyes as she held onto DH. "....i want to go home.." she mumbled quietly.

DH frowned faintly and looked at Rhun with a tired sigh, he was right and short of catching Tri then either holding him or erasing that information in his mind, neither of which was something she ever wanted to do. Talking him out of it was already assumed to even be a waste of time seeing how he was and if Mara was involved ha. "When do you leave?" She asked, feeling guilty they brought problems when they were the ones who asked for help.

//Then they go with him and Zaku you work on Tri. He hasn't run off and likely won't kill you because you have more resources than him currently to look for Ree and Hexxis, that might help you....goodness Mara might help you just to stop him from trying to go back to her but .....I really would use that as a last ditch effort thing . //

Looking down at Stormy she nodded "We will...just a few more minutes" she said quietly. "Were trying to see what ...can be done with Tri " she explained quietly.

//I'm scared to leave Stormy, I don't want her to think we are abandoning her again... But if we can get her to be okay with staying with Rhun a little longer. I'll work with Tri in that time.// Zaku suggested before glancing at her and taking off down the hill himself, sliding backward with a hand almost rested against the ground for stability as he came to a stop at the base of the hill in front of Tri before he could get further. A serious look on his face. "....we need to talk..." he spoke softly and calmly, straightening to a stand. "Let me help you find them. Ree and Hexxis. But in return, will you please try to consider Stormy once more as family. You may still think she's a killer, but given what she grew up in, and how she was.... can't you see she was trying to be better. She didn't want you to hate her. She wants you to accept her. And maybe you giving her that chance will make her see how good of a person she can be. It will teach her forgiveness." he spoke, being sincere before frowning. "..please.. I'll beg you if I have to.. just think about it..."

Rhun watched Zaku take off for Tri, a flicker of jealousy before he let it go. "I can leave as soon as possible, or wait." //It's fine, I can take them. I'll travel close by, even keep you updated as we go, and at some point you can join us or even them if they want to.//

Stormy frowned, and buried her face into her leg again. "....he doesn't like me.. so he's going to leave..... again..." she retorted simply, a defeated tone to her voice.

//I'll talk to her, this time she will have Akash and I can get her a phone// DH sent back as Zaku took off down the hill. A slight frown of worry on her face as she watched them, ears twitching as she caught most of the conversation again and wondered if Tri was going to react to it instead of what she guess he might do.

DH tilted her head slightly and glanced at Rhun before looking back. "Let me ask, Akash won't be here for at least another hour" she said hoping that Stormy's time with Rhun would temper her view instead of allowing herself to be lead around by her brother. Akash worried her, there was something just not right about him and she was having a very hard time pin pointing it. //Pointless but ......don't be jealous. Zaku is like a mouse bothering a sleepy cat. Tri was trying to give Zaku the children after finding out about them and accepting Zaku was not in the Renegades. At this time it is will he kill him or will he continue to sleep a bit longer. // there was a pause //Unless the mouse has toxoplasmosis.....piece of advise, don't eat mice // she said laying her ears back with a look of disgust. //One thing is obvious though out of this utter mess, he is extremely loyal to who ever can get his loyalty// she sighed.

Looking down at Stormy she finally pulled her wings back and knelt down, not touching her though. "Zaku is going to talk to him, he doesn't hate you he is um.... a stranger to us too. " she sighed. "Stormy...what do you think of staying a few more days with a Rhun? He is going to travel around Teterra and Akash will join you " she said quietly. " I need to stay here a bit longer but I can get you a phone so you can call me any time you want? What do you think?" She smiled.

Tri back winged before he nearly crashed into Zaku, the shadow a bit more solid unlike the unfortunate timing Stormy had when she attempted to tackle him. Silver eyes narrowed at Zaku but he stated, listening while his shadow form took on a wispy look around the edges while in direct sunlight. Once Zaku was done the glare hasn't gone away, instead wings flares and the air turned just a hint colder as he looked like he was trying to talk. Giving up he moved to slide past him and onwards.

Rhun sighed, //It's just complicated with Zaku... It's fine.//

Stormy looked up to DH as she pulled her wings away. Frowning as she talked of Tri, then led into the question of staying with Rhun. She looked to Tri and Zaku, a certain pain in her eyes as she returned her gaze to DH. She was about to demand that DH come too, but she was already explaining how she needed to stay but would at least be with Akash. Stormy looked over to Rhun and exhaled with a slight defeat. "....okay..." she muttered quietly, standing there with damp face of tears.

Zaku narrowed his eyes and reached out for Tri as he passed, grabbing his hand. "Don't leave again." he spoke softly but with conviction, a small pain to his voice. "I'm being serious... She has a chance to be a normal child... And you would deny that by leaving her." he sighed, "I'm going with you.. I'm not going to let you walk alone anymore.." he offered quietly, sighing, then trying to offer a smile, but this time it didn't surface.

DH followed her gaze and frowned "Zaku is going to talk to him. When you come back....he should be better. Just, remember he doesn't hate you....he was raise by someone who doesn't trust easily and Zaku is going to talk to him" she sighed softly as she pulled at her sleeve and tried to dry her eyes. "You know Zaku can be bossy, he's going to do the same to Tri and say how mean he was " she smirked very faintly trying to get her to smile.

Tri stopped as he was grabbed and started to pull away as he turned to glare at him. As he spoke there was a flicker of confusion then pain as he stopped, listening instead without any hint of emotion. Once he was done he pulled his arm out of Zaku's grasp, moving away from him but this time he was looking for something instead of just leaving. Moving to a rock outcrop he swirled up to something that looked like a seat and sat down before solidifying. Tri flared his wings to not tip over as he solidified, a hint of an embarrassed blush as he tried not to fall over. Once he was stable he glared up at Zaku as if daring him to laugh before moving to the subject at hand with only a glance up the hill. "She fail to say was that she wouldn't do it again if she was truly sorry " he said quietly, anger just below the surface as he kept trying to keep it at bay. "Why ...why do you keep trying to hard " just again confused by it all and still riding the anger of finding Estrian only to have this happen again and the whole argument again. He wanted to kick himself for worrying about him for this long then just coming at all since he obviously shouldn't be near Stormy and couldn't understand why they all kept pushing.

Stormy nodded slowly and used her sleeve to wipe her face messily as she continued to sniffle quietly. She was clearly too upset to smile but was at least calming down.

Zaku watched him carefully, ready to stop him again before he realized he was searching for something. Zaku held a serious gaze with Tri, not about to take anything lightly. He was vulnerable and he knew that was the worst feeling. He listened to Tri before taking a calm breath. "She was never taught to apologize properly... I'm honestly surprised she apologized to you the way she had. Before it was out of fear you'd hurt her... But that was a plea for you to stay with her. She doesn't want you to go." he responded in a level empathetic voice. Zaku frowned, "Because I still believe you're worth it. And I'm not going to stop." he spoke honestly, kneeling down to one knee to keep level serious eye contact with him.

"I don't know why! She was very clear she wanted to stay with her brother..I can even see if she wanted to stay with you or DH but me? There is no reason for her to asked me to stay. Outside of a few key points I am either a nightmare or a bother to them " his voice showing his frustration with being unable to understand Zaku, Stormy and the just seeing Estrian again only to be forced to doubt everything he did yet again as he had when he was younger.

Tri stared at Zaku for a few seconds as the muse knelt on one knee in front of him, speaking of being worth it. It pulled a sigh out of him as he looked away feeling the slightest hint of embarrassment? Not the same kind that was making him angry just now just..the pose the words...

That didn't matter and it never would. The slight softening of his gaze turned sharp again as he waited for a response.

Zaku nodded in understanding when he expressed his concerns about Stormy. "Sometimes life is unpredictable. I can't explain it either, it might because you were the most stern with her and gave her a feeling of structure even if you didn't mean to." he explained, still holding a sympathetic gaze with him. "I can't say the same for Akash... but I think there is more at play with him. Something that none of us can control. But stormy... she taking that step forward." he gave a very soft smile. "Everyone can change..."

"So she trying to change and you are trying to change me" he stated "If I was not going directly back to the house you would have followed again. So tell me Zaku how long or what has to happen for you to finally say that person isn't worth it any more" his eyes were narrowed but his voiced had remain calm, listening.

Zaku's expression didn't flicker for a second, his heart held right on his sleeve as he took a breath, never looking away. His voice was calm and soft as he spoke, not a single ounce of aggressiveness or accusatory nature. Just raw unmitigated empathy as he spoke, "Why are so repulsed by me seeing something in you? Why are you so against me feeling that yes, you are worth it. You are. That's not changing. Please..." he paused, his gaze softening, "...please help me understand."

Tri stared back, wings shifting behind him slightly as he tried to keep glaring or at least holding on to the anger. Neither of which worked very well as he looked slightly to Zaku's shoulder then back with a defeated look. "Everyone leaves, for one reason or another" //except Mara...//he tried to say simply, moving as if to get up only to forget what Estrian had done. Unbalanced he threw himself to the side of the outcrop flapping wings to keep upright.

Zaku showed a flicker of alarm as he dove to catch him out of instinct, putting an arm around his side to help him stay standing. He immediately moved to help him sit back down and began to send healing to his legs now that he was sure he would let him get close enough. "I swear that I wouldn't leave you..." he commented softly as her focused on healing the paralysis.

Tri looked embarrassed and angry at having to he helped up attempting to pull away once he was balanced, with mixed results. Finally staying still when he noticed Zaku had that far away look Estrian got when they were trying to heal. Not hoping for much but still hoping he stayed still, tense and waiting. He opened his mouth to comment on the swear but just closed it a second later realizing he had no good comeback for that. "Zaku...what the hell do you want from me" he said sounding tired, nothing he tried to figure out ever helped him figure out the muse.

Zaku didn't make a deal out of helping Tri, figuring his showing of weakness might be something he was never meant to see like this. He kept his eyes focused on healing as he listened to Tri question him more, "...to understand the real you... " he commented, "..maybe one day to even surprise me..." he added with a faint soft smile before returning to the healing. He looked up to him, to meet eye contact. "Genuinely, I really do want to get to know you the way you are... that's it."

"You are frustrating" he muttered with annoyance, a realization was just sitting at the edge of his mind but it was one he did not want to look to deeply into. Fear was the leading factor in that, in analyzing those words to much and likely ending only in betrayal due to his own stupidity.

Two breaks on both legs near mid thigh, it was a clean break even if there were hints of previous healing in that area and along the line.

"So you want me to give Stormy a chance and you will help find Hexxis " he muttered, playing along since Zaku had already mentioned looking for Ree and it would be unthinkable after all he supposedly done to ignore Hexxis now.

"...so I'm told... but at least you know I don't give up when I have my heart set on something..." he muttered back in response as he was really focused on healing, but was finding the injury more severe than he expected. "...does he always do this..." he whispered in a bit of anger at the outrage of the growing realization that this might not have been the first time the angel had done this to him.

He was preoccupied but blinked as Tri began to speak again. "Yeah... The offer still stands..." he responded calmly then looked up to Tri once more.

Tri could have easily pointed out a time when he did give up, because he was here with them and not where he should be. However he said nothing, just frowned because it was have been so easy for Zaku not to attempt to fix him and just stop his heart or something even along those lines if his powers worked that way. Except he wouldn't, he was able to predicate that much about him now at least.

"...." he frowned as the conversation moved to Estrian. "Sometimes...when he's angry or when I attempt to leave." He narrowed his eyes a little then shook his head focusing on the offer. "Then I'll take it " seeing the irony of when he was first captured..they didn't know where Mara or Lucian were and he found her in a short amount of time. Now he couldn't find either of his other children, both a blessing and a curse...and in exchange for that help he had to give Stormy a chance.

Zaku took a breath, practically biting his tongue trying not to get pissed about Estrian doing that to him. Maybe he really wasn't all that far off calling him an unruly man child then. Now it was going to be even harder to not punch the angel square in the face after knowing this. "...that's no way to treat someone...." he mumbled angrily, unable to stop himself from at least saying that.

As he accepted the offer, there was a hopeful smile that slowly formed on his face. "..I'm glad." he responded.

Tri frowned feeling the need to defend him even after all this time, not really knowing what to think of Estrian that was a ...knot within itself. "Maybe it is when your nearly dead patient want to crawl off into the snow...." he muttered. "Then it just became common" he said accepting before he grimaced as he felt the nerves connected then clenched his teeth together as pain and discomfort sent signals back to his brain. To much talking, he was doing that again. Wait...when did he do it the last time? The thought bothered only for a second as he focused on pulling away from Zaku and attempting to move past the surge of pain then the pin and needles feeling.

Looking at Zaku he sighed at the hopeful look on there. Really...he looked as happy as anyone told they were going to get a puppy for their birthday. "I'll stay here"

Zaku's exhaled slowly, doing his best ticket to of the anger no matter how hard it was, but it a weird twisted way, he understood. Didnt mean he hated it any less.

The moment Tri spoke that he would stay there, he nodded in understanding. //He said he would give stormy a chance. She can come down here to try to talk to him again... He won't leave.//

DH blinked and looked up, turning to face them both and then just staring in general. //I see, I'll tell her // looking back at Stormy she motioned down the hill. "He said he won't leave..you can go talk to him if you want"

Stormy looked up to DH with a frown then back down to Tri with a worried look. She returned her gaze up to DH. "...is it okay?..." she asked quietly.

DH turned to stare at Tri then looked at Zaku. "...yes"'she said solemnly, watching Tri move to his feet finally, only to lean against the rock out cropping, his face a mask to her his ..heart a mass of emotions.

Stormy nodded slowly in acknowledgement and turned to look back at Tri and much more slowly making her way down hill, still losing her footing a bit every now and again despite how careful she was being until she reached the bottom of the hill. She paused to then looked at Zaku then up to Tri, apprehensive and worried as she appeared nervous. What to say, what to do. She didn't know at all, standing there silently as she stared at him with big blue glowing eyes.

Tri turned to stare at her, glowing silver eyes narrowed every so slightly as he stayed stoic. " I will stay as soon as I find Hexxis and Ree. However that means you will need to change as well...No more attacking any of us, no trying to kill others. You have the power to easily kill anyone but it does not mean you have to use it in that way. No using weapons until you have the discipline and control to do so. You come at me or anyone else in this group and I will leave as you both wanted. " he said seriously as he stared down at her.

Stormy nodded as Tri said he would stay when he found her siblings Ree and Hexxis. However... Her expression shifted into deeper worry as she tried her best to grasp at all the rules he was giving, having an obvious difficulty in absorbing the information. "...I... I dont.... uhm.., how do I remember all of that..." she asked softly.

Tri stared at her intently with only a flicker of confusion. Silently he looked at Zaku then back. "I'll write it down so you will have it, once we get back" he said simply. This was the second time she mention having a problem remembering, likely something they need to look into.

She nodded, "Akash helps me remember the rules... But Scar Man said Akash is sick..." she motioned to her head. "That it makes me sick too..." she explained in a much more soft voice than she had used before when she had been with Akash. "I....I can try really hard..." she offered quietly. "...so you're going to come back...?"

Zaku watched them carefully, feeling sympathetic for Stormy as he was at least relieved it was going better than the first time.

Tri looked back to toward the hill and frowned at Rhun. "The scarred man doesn't have much of a pedestal to stand on to suggest others are sick. " this time he gave Zaku a dark look before looking back to Stormy. "Still he might be right, I will write them down" he reiterated before nodding slightly. " Yes as soon as I find them " he said quietly since no one was going to allow him to do otherwise..or technically Zaku wasn't.

Stormy frowned, glancing back at Rhun. "He's like me... I can't remember why... uhm.." she tapped on the side of her skirt trying to recall the memory, "...He's.. he's alone... like me.." she finally spoke. Her eyes darted to the side as she shifted her weight nervously. "...do you think I'm sick..." she asked with a slight pain in her voice. "...that's why they leave...... right?" slowly she looked up to him, trying to understand these concepts that were beyond her comprehension for her mental age. After a moment, she reached into her pocket to carefully pull out two feathers that looked very well taken care of, a red one and a small black one. Stormy looked down at them in her hand then to Tri. "...can I have one too?..." she asked, not sure if it was okay.

Zaku had a flicker of surprise as she pulled out the feathers, not expecting her to have cared enough to hold onto them and even more so that she was asking Tri for one. "DH gave her a feather and one of Akash's too to show that they would come back for her..." he explained.

Stormy nodded slowly, a little scared he'd decline but seemed she would understand if he didn't say yes.

Tri frowned faintly and shook his head. "He's alone for many reasons, as for being sick I wouldn't trust his judgement. Things are much more complicated than that. " he said quietly but extended his right middle wing, running his fingers lightly through the feathers until he found one he was looking for. Silently he pulled it out and offered her one if his secondaries, black with only the faintest hint of dark blue in the middle if held in the right light. He was observing her, she had changed since he left....was that really because of her brother?

Stormy nodded again in understanding but then paused and blinked. "Do you think I'm sick?" she asked again before watching him move his fingers along his wings to select a feather and offered it to her. She smiled a bit and took the feather very carefully and put it with the two others.

Zaku couldn't help but smile, "...hey, shouldn't you thank him for giving you one.."

Stormy looked to Zaku, blinking for a moment almost as she had to process what he said, not understanding right away but then turned to Tri. "..th-thank you...?" she appeared unsure if that's what she needed to do, staring up at Tri, trying to gauge his response.

"I am sure I am not qualified to make that assessment" he said simply as he watched her, glancing up when Zaku spoke then down to Stormy solemnly and nodded. "You're welcome".

DH watched them with her head tilted to the side. "Curious and curious. Well then..." she looked at Rhun. "Thank you for this...and sorry for the trouble. I'll call you once Akash is back and ....what ever is going on down there" she looked faintly confuse.

Stormy tilted her head, "..uhh...what?" she responded, still not understanding.

Zaku frowned and thought for a moment. "He would not know."

Stormy frown, "...do you think I'm sick...?" she asked once more.

Now Zaku was confused why she kept asking. "....only a doctor can tell you whether you are sick in your head or not... Scarred man is not a doctor... He can't tell you, and Tri cannot tell you." he tried to iterate simply to her.

Stormy frowned appear as though her question wasn't really answered but nodded in understanding at what he was saying. She smiled a little again when he responded to her thank you. It faded slightly as she looked up at him with a glimmer of innocence in her face but more out of naivity than anything else. "...I'm sorry that I hurt you... I didn't mean to..." she apologized to him again quietly, unsure how to even say it the way she felt she was supposed to.

"Nor do we have the resources to find someone who can see what type of problems you have. Not sickness " he explained a little more before listening to her words and repressing a sigh. She looked innocent now but she didn't before and she kept going. "I see...well I will write down those rules and you will have to memorize them. Not to do that again " he explained as he looked up sharp,y at Zaku to take over.

Stormy looked confused again then frowned, shaking her head. It was pointless to keep pressing the matter.

She nodded, "I keep very good care of the things I like... So I'll keep it safe and read it a lot and maybe one day I can remember it without having help..." she spoke then she carefully put the three feathers into her pocket. "So.. when things are like wow exciting, I just want to run really fast and I want to scream real loud and maybe dance or jump..." she started rambling, using her fingers to make it look like she was drawing shapes but she really wasnt, then she began to run in place a bit, stopped, her eyes wandering around as though she were trying to remember or that she was distracted. "And then we can play but then I get really REALLY excited sometimes and I hurt people...." she paused, "I get real scared too and you shoot the people and make them go away.." she waved her hands, "but I won't.... And knives hurt too... I like them... But they hurt. Doesn't hurt now but it did..." she rambled endless as she looked off, still moving her hands to express her words like a child who was caught up in a story would, "The shadow man came and he was scary. Touching me and I don't like that. But that's you!" she gave a small gasp and pointed at him, her attention on him for a brief moment before she stomped softly in a circle. "We run because we wanna go or we are going anyway so we can choose... Akash says go or I say go and we run really fast. I go because I don't want to go with the strangers. They touch me and I don't like that at all. Okay? I...uhh..." she paused, blinking. "Mm... So then we aren't supposed to fight and uhh... shoot..." she turned to Tri, tilting her head. "...then how do we make the bad guys go away..."

Zaku just watched, a little more used to the energetic side of Stormy that would rant about really nothing at all, but she was talking about Tri and running as he listened intently, only a flicker of thoughtful concern on his face.

Tri just listened grabbing the important parts and throwing the rest, nothing different than a few of the people Mara had to deal with...some even equally as disjointed. "You're going to have to learn control as well as thinking before you act. We will protect you so you don't have to protect yourselves until you both have better control. In the worst case that we are not there then you can fight to made them go away. You will learn which strangers to trust and which ones not to" he said giving Zaku another Look.

A hand shoved Zaku forward suddenly as a shadow slipped back into the muses' shadow. "Zaku here can at least show you who to trust and who not to..he is -very- familiar with the police and such agencies "

She nodded again. "Control..." She repeated, trying to commit it to memory. "...learning trust..." she grabbed with a bit more softness to her voice as if a painful memory wanted to surface but she shook it quickly. "Okay."

Zaku showed a flicker of alarm as he stumbled a step or two forward before realizing the shadow had shoved him. He laughed nervously, trying to play off that he had honestly been very caught off guard. "Yeah, I can show you people you can trust..." he agreed.

".........agencies?" Stormy tilted her head.

Zaku mentally sighed, wanting to tell him this wasn't Hexxis and she didn't understand bigger words... like normal children. "It's just another word for other people, people that are like the police in this case." Zaku explained, trying to simplify it.

".............okay..." she finally answered.

Tri nodded and motioned to Zaku and nodded as he explained in really basic form. "We should head off "

Zaku nodded, "right."

Stormy frowned. "....okay." she responded quietly. Looking back up the hill she paused, "Am I still staying with scarred man?" she asked with a bit of curiosity even if her expression was somber.

"No, we will find someone else. The scarred man will be busy...very busy " he said with a faint frown, a glare at Zaku encase he even attempted to try and defend Rasiel. Rasiel....as Rhun..in charge of Sanctuary. Who knows how many dead bodies were buried in those acres.

DH was already heading down, a glide down instead of using the main road.

Stormy looked to DH, "....you're going too?" she asked with a frown.

DH blinked as she landed looking confused as she joined the conversation midway. "Uh ....No, I need to stay here. Even now we aren't excerpt in the same house...Criel or Norcrest are keeping tabs on me when I head home and back.......we might actually have to move into SIU at this point " she said with a frown.

Tri raised his gaze to her "you should. Mara needs the help "

Ganged Up By The Past (part 3)

DH gave him a fake smile " ah ..hahaha. Yea she does...she keeps getting teens to her group. Except I rather not be pushed into such a decision and then I am not really that trusting of the other governments....and like you . What might be volunteers could easily be slaves again "

Tri nodded slightly "that is possible...but you are Belosh citizens so that will carry some weight"

DH frowned faintly "I rather not be the ones to push how far those cover from the other side of a barred gate " she raised a brow at him. "Something that seems to be really likely if I keep staying " she sighed.

"And Wizard?" he questioned with a frown.

"And that is the reason we are still here" she sighed again.

Stormy was beginning to look a bit distressed, taking a step back. "...then who..." she asked, a rising panic in her voice.

Zaku was cautiously watching Stormy but listening to the conversation. //She's getting upset... I think she's scared she's going to have to be with yet a new person. Tri isn't going to let her go back with Rasiel... there isn't many options after that... except Mara and I'm not exactly too thrilled for my number 1 enemy being in charge of my kids... especially with unstable they are...// he thought to DH, trying not to make it a verbal conversation in front of Stormy.

"....d-don't send me away!!" Stormy exclaimed as her panic was quickly escalating over the situation.

//eh...guess who they were with before Tri came in and Mara knows, she was going to get shocked eventually after they sapped Melody hard. Then again that would also leave them directly with Kae again. Shoot...leaving them with Rhun was the best thing possible...// she said looking between them as Tri looked ready to explain why Rhun was a bad thing. //The other thing is to take you with them. Leaving them with me is s bad idea ...not with what happened last time. They can easily put two and two together and your next rescue attempt is them //

"Tri, hm..why don't they go with you? It isn't like you're going to be going around all the time?" She threw out there as Tri opened his mouth.

Tri looked over at her in annoyance "To dangerous. They were with me last time because there weren't many other choices and I can't believe -you- agreed to leave her with -Him-" he stared accusingly.

Zaku looked at Tri seriously, "I know you don't want to consider him... But it's absolutely safe to leave her with Rhun. I know why you don't like him, but as abrasive he can be with me... He's actually the best person with kids I know. Rhun helped Stormy so far. He's not what you think he is. Something I hope you can consider being Ree's similar situation. I know that's asking a lot, but he's the only one who Stormy knows that can easily travel enough to keep her and Akash safe."

Stormy's heart was racing as she took another step back, her legs were shaking as she was fighting every urge to run in fear.

DH frowned "Don't start, I won't follow you into an argument over this. His soul is a mess but his heart, through some miracle is in the right place. We were also going to save you, no matter how much you didn't want to be" she sighed and just shook her head as she turned to watch Zaku.

Tri glared at them both then at Zaku. "Ree is in the situation he is in.. because of Kage..but lets go a little further. How the hell did (Criel) and Kage end up in that room in the first place? My bet is from someone from your group setting it all up. Now assuming your Intel is wrong I would have stopped Ree one way or another if I truly believed that he was a danger. Something I can't assess without finding him in the first place...unlike Ree, who is at least out of sight'
, Rasiel's victims have been found and DNA matched as recent, as a month ago. Yet you are saying he is great with kids and you keep saying his heart is fine. " he said with a hint of anger as he glanced between one to the other. "DH I at least trust what you see, so far it has been right but I don't believe it is infallible. There is still the death of those children so no Zaku I can't consider this the same...You can't even be certain since even if he did not kill his own children Melody was a Spectrum search specimen..land Hexxis...well maybe he was involved in that part of Spectrum as well. So no. They are not going with him "

Zaku sighed and put his hands up. Honestly, he had counter points for everything he said, but he also knew how stubborn Tri was. He wouldn't budge and there was no use tearing down what little progress he just made. "...fine, fine.. then please suggest something... we are running out of options."

Stormy looked down, tears building in the corners of her eyes as she stood there, listening to them start into the beginnings of arguments again. Taking yet another step back, she was beginning to distance herself more and more, quietly staring at the ground with a somber expression.

"Li then" he said with a look.

DH let out a sigh "hahaha ...no. No..just...no. She would take them...someone will lose them. Your uncle... didn't you have a contact there?" Blinking at the cold stare she got.

"No" he said simply.
"Mara .... never mind that will connect her more to you" she looked annoyed.

"Perhaps you cou-"

"No. are you listening to yourselves? You are asking me to consider Rasiel the Killer as a viable babysitter " he bristled his feathers.

Zaku narrowed his eyes, "I would bet my own life he never killed a child." he suddenly spoke up, tensing them sighed and relaxed. "I'm not asking you to consider Rasiel to watch her. I'm asking you to consider her staying with Headmaster Rhun. The man who has been absolutely confirmed to have never set foot off of sanctuary ground since it opened back up. In fact, the only reason he's probably still up on the hill... Where he stands is still technically sanctuary grounds owned by Dr. Broken." he exhaled giving a sympathetic look. "She knows him. I know him." he pressed once more, staying more calm this time, trying to bring logic into it for him to maybe see reason.

Stormy closed her eyes tightly, a small sniffle before tensing up slightly.

"When someone kills someone the first thing the relations say is that it couldn't be him" he turned to face Zaku. "I don't.
..well I can't say much more than you were already married to him....7 years ago. Even if your knowledge of him wasn't out of date why would I trust former renegade leader Zaku Shiroi to consider some of his victims a crime? Does it matter if he is now Rhun, he killed innocents at some point in his life and there is still a high danger of that happening again. To bring it up, so have you.... except you didn't go serial "

Zaku was breathing a little deeper than usual, it was odd how he himself talked down to Rasiel but it was different coming from someone else's mouth, taking every ounce to not start a full on fight over protecting Rasiel against the accusations. He kept his voice level the best he could.
"Because he was framed by his malice who would love nothing more than to torment him into finally killing himself. And let me tell you, he's a lot more likely to finish himself off than to ever harm a child. But what do I know, I've killed thousands with words alone. Thanks for bringing it up as though I could forget it." he turned to Rasiel on the hill who was watching them with hardly an expression.

"He's not a serial killer." he added with a steady voice.

Stormy turned and began to run off for the woods, starting to cry before she hit the treeline. She instantly regretted running but her legs wouldn't stop. She was cursing herself for not at least running for the mansion, no she had to run the other way... just like she always did.

There was a flicker of alarm as he saw Stormy take off out of the corner of his eye. "Stormy!!"

"Your words, not practical proof" he shot back turning to watch Stormy run off again. Letting out a sigh he just started walking after her, letting his shadow follow where she went like he did with Ree.

DH blinked and turned to watch her run off, shifting tiger and following.

Zaku looked back to Rhun before taking off after Stormy as well.

It only took a second before Rhun took one large jump practically making it most of the way down the hill before running after Stormy as well. Following from behind.

Stormy kept running, fairly fast as she jumped over large branches and slid on leaves to turn when she needed to. Tears overwhelmed her face as she ran with everything she had.

Zaku quickly was gaining speed but not at any supernatural pace, just with the experience of someone who obviously ran often. He was doing a lot of similar moves, jumping and sliding before breaking off to the right and started kicking off trees to gain enough momentum in an attempt to pass her up and cut her off.

Tri didn't bother he just headed toward the bottom of the hill where she was basically heading in a roundabout matter. Not playing her game of running away to stop arguments.

DH bounded after her moving better on four legs than on two as she leaped and chased, also moving to try and pass in an attempt to cut her off.

Stormy kept running, dark clouds forming overhead as burning tears slid down her face. She slid under a knocked over tree as she spotted Zaku and dove to the left and trying to understand why she still felt so much pain and running like she could escape it, only to have it increase with every step she took.

Zaku kept running, cursing mentally as she took off the other way. //She went left. DH, can you get her from your position?// he asked quickly.

Tri reached the bottom of the hill and waited turning to the direction where they were chasing her around like some fox.

DH swerved right assuming she was about to move in that direction and growled.//No// turning and running around trees to keep between her and the bottom of the hill, trying to keep her on the property.

//Stormy, stop running. //she pleaded, keeping the child in view. She could always pounce her but that wasn't what she wanted.

//s**t.// Zaku cursed in response, kicking up to levitate, gaining speed as he followed Stormy through the forest. He tried to stay on her right, trying to coerce her into going back the way she came.

Stormy was unhindered as she kept running as fast as her legs would let her. "I don't want to go!! I'm going to get left alone again!!" she called back out loud as she slid under another tree and turned sharply, trying to find a way out.

//you're running away from us...you will be alone again// DH responded always keeping to her left even if she had to push past brush instead of go around it, trying to help Zaku where she could but always keeping between her and the bottom of the hill. If she remembered right the rest of the area was surrounded by water, but she wasn't sure this part was.

Tri silently pull out his cell phone and starts to text someone.

"you're just going to send me away again!!!" she screamed, breaking down into tears as rain began to start in the area. Her feet sliding in the mud as she kept running. It was getting harder to see with the rain and her tears as she tripped over a branch, throwing herself toward the ground at full force...

Zaku wasn't very hindered by rain as he kept moving, trying to get closer to her, and was succeeding until he saw her stumble, falling right off the ledge of the cliffside. "STORMY!" he screamed as he pushed himself with as much force as he could muster to leap from the edge, to grab her, throw her back toward the edge and his body took the five downward.

Stormy shrieked as she realized all to late she was about to plummet to the rocks below when she was grabbed and thrown back, hitting the ground and rolling to a stop before looking out with worry.

The shadow reformed as she was thrown back up and floated there looking down toward Zaku then to Stormy.

Rhun was still running, farther behind than the other two but catching up. As soon as he saw Zaku throw Stormy back, he reach out to her when she landed, and dragged her back away from the edge, trying to minimize his contact and to be as gentle as he could. "...are you okay??" he asked with a frantic tone to his voice, his expression easily one of deep distress and worry.

DH kept following moving to close Stormy's escape route when she fell, jumping over the log she lan- plummeted off the cliff. Wings flared out flapping like crazy as she spotted Zaku with Stormy just for a second as she adjusted to glide over the water before attempting to head back up.

The shadow just floated above the cliff and lowered its head before floating to Stormy, wings flared and bristled but there was no sound as it watched Rhun and Stormy after having spotted Zaku entangled in roots.

Tri looked up and frowned as he sent the texted and pocketed the phone. Idiots...why couldn't they have just let her run instead of running her right off a cliff. If there weren't two flyers in the group...

There was a flicker of alarm on Zaku's face as he saw DH fall of the cliff to, but relaxed as she was able to catch wind to glide back around. It took him a moment but he was able to regain himself, using levitate to fly back up to land on the edge.

Stormy appeared panicked until she saw Zaku get back up. Her fearful look turned to one of guilt as she looked up at the shadow. It only took moments before she put head back down as she cried softly.

"Stormy, it's okay... remember how far you've come... you are strong enough to handle these things." Rhun commented, holding conversation.

"...i don't want to be sent away again..." Stormy muttered.

Rhun frowned, he wished he had a retort for her, but even he didn't know what they would decide for Stormy.

DH eventually made her way back to the ledge and landed shaking fur and feathers back into place as she stared around and counting Stormy, Zaku, Rhun and even Tri's shadow. Shifting back she pulled her hair back and out of the way relieved to see everyone okay. "Its not for ever " she said quietly even so she truly could give no time table since she doubted that the two they were looking for would be found so easily if they haven't been found by now. "Still it is not my call..or rather..it shouldn't be " she said glancing toward Zaku and the Shadow after making sure Zaku was okay.

The shadow did not move instead it grew a tail and shifted into the form of a puma, lashing its tail back and forth.

DH let out a long suffering sigh.

"..n-no!!.." she exclaimed, tears spilling forth as she shoved her face into her hands and yelled with agoby as she sobbed ludly.

Rhun frowned, wanting nothing more than do just scoop her up and hold her tightly in comfort.

Zaku winced, knowing that there was No safe compromise for where Stormy should go.

Tri sighed and started walking up to the point DH could hear him.

DH looked up then grimaced as she looked at Zaku.//he is saying that if you are irresponsible enough to want to keep her here with him then you stay as well. He will go and search for Ree and Hexxis and you take care of the twins // she passed on, tail twitching as she watched Stormy with pity as she moved forward to at least kneel by her.

Zaku clenched his teeth looking to Tri. //Is he not seeing-...ugggghh... He doesn't want her with him but he has no idea who to send her to...// he mentally sighed with exhaustion. He moved over to Tri and away from Stormy with a serious look. "There's no way I'm letting you traverse Tretera alone in search of them. So pick someone for her to go with and let's go already." he practically demanded.

Stormy was still sobbing loudly as she sat there on the wet ground, the rain fluctuating with how much she cried. "....why does everyone keep leaving me... why does everyone hate me..." she asked, clearly very upset. She noticed DH kneel down and she scrambled to get up enough to hug her tightly, shoving her face into her clothes.

Rhun watched carefully, frowning. "I'm sure whatever they choose for you... Is the best and most safest option for you. Your parents would never abandon you or put you in danger." he spoke to her softly.

Stormy nodded slowly but appeared to be refusing to remove her face from DH's clothes as she cried softly.

The shadow lashed its tail and stared up at Zaku as it bared nearly invisible teeth when DH transfer what Zaku said to him. //He says you are the best choice. This is not his first mission and he would like to remind you who has been chasing you mostly alone. //

"No one hates you.." DH sighed hugging her back tight enough to feel strong but without actually hurting her. "This is only for a small while.." she said looking up to a Tri. "I'll take them with me, I will have to adjust my schedule " //Rhun you take them once they are gone. Zaku you better give us warning when you're coming back //

Zaku narrowed his eyes. Really? Still going to fight it like this. He was trying not to yell, just standing there quietly.

Stormy looked up at DH the moment she said she was going to stsy, the rain beginning to die down now.

//Right.// Rhun confirmed.

//I will. Thank you for this...// he thought then nodded slightly. "Then it's decided, let's go Tri."

The shadow lashed it tail looking at all of them then disappearing. " ugh .." Tri sighed putting his hand to his face, paranoid for a moment but DH was still better than what they had right now. Turning silently he just started walking not exactly waiting for Zaku.

DH looked down at Stormy //We are not going to do this often..or tell him. But you're going to go with your brother and Rhun around the area until Tri and Zaku can comes back. You're not going to tell Tri or he's going to start another fight. I will get you something to stay in contact with me..just like we originally said /

Zaku sighed, looked back to stormy, giving a small wave. Turning, I then walked after Tri without another word, shoving his hand into his pockets.

Stormy gave a small wave in return then looked to DH and frowned. Listening she finally nodded and squeezed her leg, hugging her. "Okay..." she responded quietly so only DH could hear.

I don't understand him... it's been months and I still don't understand him. At the same time.... I might be going home.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:59 pm

Shadowing? Flying? I can't tell. Lights below me, lights above, stuck in the middle of a night full of smoke and fog. I cough but I don't hear a sound, I try to dive but my wings won't move, breathing gets harder and harder as I try to wake.

Tri opened his eyes to a pile of bodies, those he has killed, those he feared to lose. A reaccuring dream that never got better just worse. Wings furled in close to him as he searched the bodies, tears streaming as he found half of Ree's head, Mara with a bullet between her eyes, a body bag with only a whisp of pink hair barely visable. Further away something moved, something that look to be the size of children turning to look back at him with glowing red eyes. The scene changed and he was back at home...his first home. A small shack in the woods, his father absently trying to find a screw from the radio he took apart, his mother staring straight at him with her wings bristled. "You know what to do" she motioned to the hair of shadows that looked almost like twins. "No..." he shook his head trying to turn away and look to his father, only to see the missing screw on the desk while he was no where in sight.

Turning back, everyone else was gone and the shack had darken as the sound of fighting came from outside. Glancing at the desk one last time he moved out the door and he was dress for battle. Mara shot Estrian as battle raged around them. He blinked and moved to help Estrian only to see himself diving down toward a girl with purple hair, who looks up at the last minute and is Hexxis as a child.

In reality he cried out softly, curling inwards under his wings as tears streamed down his face but he didn't wake. Glowing cat eyes looked up siently and stared at him in the darkness.

He could almost taste the blood as he opened his eyes and was standing in the old Norcrest SIU's lobby area as Ree, looking quite close to a skeleton, danced with Ashral's blade killing everyone who tried to stop him even those in armor that should have been nearly impossible. His eyes were cold as steel and dead even as he wore a dark smile.

"Ree....." he muttered in pain while in reality as he jerked, hand trying trying to grasp for something.

Everyone was dead on his feet, everyone in SIU, a few government heads,(Criel), Reneagdes, Mafia, Murder Squad. "Stop..." he felt himself say the command as Ree turn to stare at him, a look of fury on his face as he let go of Ashral's sword only fall forward asleep...onto the point of Hexxis sword a mirrow image of Ashrals.

The scene switched and Hexxis was standing in the Haven outpost, picking herself off the ground with a gaping wound in her chest that pour blood as she pulled out the sword and let it drop on the ground before looking up at him "I wanted to stay with you. Just you " she said in a quiet voice, her eyes devoided of any emotion. "Why couldn't you understand that?". She took a step forward and he was once again under the basement area where Cordelia first made Hexxis walk.

Tri cried out and moved to hug her, trying to figure out how to stop the bleeding as he got drenched in blood. She was staring accusingly at him, not trying to stop him from hugging her but never looking away. "I'm sorry..... I don't know... what I'm doing. I tried to save you... I'm...sorry...so sorry" he muttered putting his hand on her wound as if he could stop it that way.

"I said you knew what to do" His mother's voice said from behind him. "No on wants you and you can't keep anyone. Alive at least. Abandon them all" she sounded amused as Tri look behind him but found nothing and when he looked back Hexxis was gone.

"Hexxis...." he muttered in reality, tears streaming down his face as his breath hitched.

The glowing cat eyes blinked once and look down to a small glowing screen as their owner sent out a text and sighed softly.

Angels Forgive

Isn’t that the legend they have about us, despite all the true races that have done the opposite? Still angel’s forgive when the person truly wishes to change because not everyone is perfect. Yet is it worth forgiving when not doing so keeps them safe and alive?

I have become my mother and not in the way other lament and cry about when speaking how they now like similar things or have the same point of view. No, I abandon those who should have been close to me.I continued the cycle and did it without hesitation. My nightmares becomes reality and I can not see a logical fault to it.

Stormy and Akash are not my children, they may share my biological data but that is only fault of Kae who wished to use it to create a new body for her daughter and messed up, not because I wished to have them or even had any choice in the matter.

Even then, we tried once we found out that they existed but they hated us and wished to survive only with each other. Stormy would find happiness in pain, in death and in the macabre. Akash’s malice would do nothing but egg her on or try to manipulate her...

I once thought that children were safe, that any such feeling were because of the parents or person they were with introducing it to them and therefore none of their fault. I was shown how wrong I was...she only reminded me of the people I fought, my nightmare, of the sickening feeling that anyone could enjoy what I was force and trained to be.

I wanted to protect others, I wanted to stop the worst of those people, so I could make Ame and Mara proud somehow and I was used ...and in a way now someone with my dna is the type of person I hate the most. If she couldn’t care then I wouldn’t... I can’t be what she needed because I would only make her worse, the people I keep close are the ones I have already failed in a way to keep safe.

So when she calls years later, older and changed asking for a way to return to my life, despite the fact we have only interacted for a month if not less ...should I forgive and give her a chance?

I can’t. She’s alive because the person I left her with, who she should have considered by now a parent or someone close, raised her with patience, care, and understanding. If only for that I will not chase him any more but I can not be in her life...or their life. Even if she were to say she changed... I do not trust her ...I never have and very likely never will.

They should have known this, they should have understood instead of handing me the phone out of the blue, especially on the day I lost someone close to me. It would have never ended well because I made peace despite the guilt and moved on.

This is what makes me despair, how many times I have to move on so they might live. I make no illusions that my mother did the same, she left me to die ...or maybe in a small corner of her heart she knew I would be rescued and raised by the humans nearby. It is something I doubt she will ever answer.

If I could change the dna in stormy and Akash to that is a Raz, I would do it and save them from worse despair and let them focus on what stability and happiness they have now instead of focusing on just the biological aspect of it. There is no future here ... I live with ghosts.

Forgiveness is something I am only barely learning to understand because under what circumstances does an assassin ever need to know that? Yet in this case ...Not forgiving may save a life or two.
