She turned her back to the trees and kicked out - that was where her biggest muscles were, she figured. Unfortunately it looked like there was just a crack. Shame, but at least she'd tried hard!

Apparently, tree-smashing really wasn't for her. These trees were fresh– still green, and that had them as much more solid than the dried old deadwoods she was used to overturning. The doe sighed, walking away from the disappointed looks of others– she'd really have to practice.
