Jory wasn't much of a singer, or at least had never considered himself as such. He did it, occasionally, when he was on his own, when no one was around. More often than not, the boil preferred humming.
He did his bet though, here as well as the last two challenges they had been set to. His best, however, didn't seem to be received well. Not by the elf, in any case. Jory balked, voice trailing off, at the look the elf gave him, and he hurried along to the next being of Christmas he was meant to sing for.
The rest, it would seem, appreciated his singing a great deal more. His voice was very shaky with the reindeer, though they seemed content enough with it, that by the time Jory had reached the snowman he had apparently hit his stride.
A weak start, but a surprisingly strong finish. It didn't
quite make up for his poor job in the quiz, but it did help him redeem himself a little.
