Coco walked around the festival, she tried a few games without much luck. Then she went to go look for a face painting booth. She hoped she could help out with that and maybe have some fun painting during this festival. Coco wished Milo was here, she was a bit lonely wandering around the winter festival by herself. She sighed as she continued her hunt, then found a face painting booth to volunteer at. There she received a small silver bell for her efforts.
The booth that they were at had been a great one for them! Hailey managed to get more annoying jingle bells and a plushie, and he managed to get another plant and a plushie. Thank goodness mom was never too far away to help with these things. But then another Fallen approached them and complimented the two of them. The random encounter had Malachi feeling a bit nervous. Ooooh he didn't do well with new Nightmares. "Th-thank you..." he stammered out with a shy smile before looking to Hailey. She was his social buffer and security blanket.
Before they could make their way to the next prize booth, a weird little Fallen kid just walked right up to the two of them. Hailey gave them a weird look, not entirely thrilled they were interrupting her time with Malachi. Of course the compliment about her eyes helped eased that off some, but still... "Uh.. Thanks... I guess" She gave a semi-smile, then caught Malachi's glance. Herrmmm... She watched the kid warily as they got all chummy with Malachi, looping her arm around his and squishing next to him. "I like... errr... your hair. the streak is cool. Did your parents let you do that yourself?" then a more exciting thought popped up. "Or is it natural? Cause that would be super cool."
Huni Pi
heh... Malachi is a shy bug and hides behind Hailey out in the world lD She's kind of his guard dog x3 <3
The next spot to catch Dodger's eyes was a snowball throwing stand. Oh score! And the prizes were even better! A bucket of indoor snowbaaaaalls! YES! That could totally be a ton of fun for him and Eileen! With a grin and all the confidence in the world, Dodger stepped up and got his throwing arm ready. "Let's do this!"
And victory was his! As he was handed the bucket of his choosing -- green of course -- Dodger beamed happily in his victory. This stuff from this festival would make for awesome fun times with Eileen. He couldn't wait to score again at the next game stand! Hmmm... What kind of stuff could he try to win that she might like? He pondered this as he walked around and tried to find the next place of interest.
Bobbi continued to wander about, holding books in hand as xe hunted for more. This festival was becoming a bit more interesting, or at least interest catching. There were so many Nightmare watching opportunities. The way everyone interacted with each other was quite intriguing. Maybe not as much as the books in xyr hold, but maybe they would all become a source of inspiration.
As Bobbi continued xyr walk, xe noticed an interesting game stand with some books as prizes. They seemed to be lower on the win scale. That was actually quite encouraging since xe wasn't very good at games and such. After at least trying xyr best, Bobbi was able to pick a book. With a small smile, xe put it with the others and started off to find more chances at getting books.
Camrine blinked as she stood in from of the dart game, where she won Berry yesterday. Again she hit one of the balloons she was clearly good at this game. She laughed as she picked the pretty glowing ball of light to come home with her. Then Cam wandered about with her new pets, looking for new people to meet.
Glykeria jumped up and down as she finally managed to pick up the get the ring onto the stick in order to win a familiar. Gly smiled brightly as she picked. Gly picked a cute Flitterat, she turned away from the booth to go buy her new pet something to eat since she seemed hungry and Gly wanted to take good care of her pet.
Needless to say Foras had gotten himself distracted on his look for Ganymede. There were just so many cool booths about and prizes to win! His tail wagged happily behind him, which might have looked strange to others, if only he had a normal Grimm tail. He didn't let that bother him though as she stood in line to play for a chance to win one of those giant Fennekit plushies. He was definitely eyeing that giant purple one. He needed it. It would go splendidly with his horde of nezubat plushies form Halloween....
He shot just the right number of targets down with a little pellet gun to score his prize as well. Sweet! And as he was wiggling back into the crowd he felt a a hand come up to touch him and when he looked over there was Alioth, reaching up to give him a little kiss. Alioth! Why hadn't he thought about his boyfriend sooner? He'd been too caught up in the thought of teasing Gany...woops.
He smiled and bent down to give Alioth his own little kiss. "Hey there cutie." Foras pulled Aliot in close to him and was a little surprised when he felt a flitterrat bump into his hand, his arm was draped around Alioth's shoulders. "Looks like you've got a new friend there! And speaking of friends, we should hang out with another couple. C'mon~" And so with Alioth under one arm and a giant fox plushie under the other he set out to spot Ganymede. He thought he might have caught a glimpse of him over....
There! And he is! And he was already with Chries. He couldn't remember if they were dating-dating. But he did know that Gany at least liked the guy, quite a bit. Probably wanted to date him...He shook his head and made his way over to the couple. The first thing he noticed was the matching plushies.
"Hey! Twinsies~" Foras smirked, he just had to poke at that little string. "Would you two like to join us in the festivities? It'll be more fun as a group date." He gave Chries a little wink and nodded his head back in the direction of all the activities going on.
Yeah, some of these games were sort of rigged he supposed. That's why most of it came down to luck. You just sort of had to throw it in there and hope for the best, and well, Jasper had always sort of been the lucky type. He didn't really know why, but he did tend to win out in a lot of things.
He watch Nihls take a shot and could tell the violinist was a little disappointed to not have won. He gave Nihls a little pat in the shoulder and a shrug. "It's got a lot to do with luck really, we'll find something else to try at!" Jasper smirked and then looked around for something they could enjoy next. That's when he saw the little food stand with the peppermint bark, oh he loved that stuff!
"C'mon, I'll buy you a treat!" Jasper hooked hi arm around Nihls' again and lead him off to the little stall where he purchased some peppermint treats for them to share. "I love the food around this time of year, isn't it great?" He broke off a piece and handed into to Nihls with a smile.
There was so much noise going on around her that she didn't even notice Gaius until he spoke to her. And when he did, she could help but jump, her little wings flapped like that thought the could actually fly. She calmed down after a moment though, catch her breathe she finally looked over at the other freshling.
"Ah, yeah. They're giving them away here if you want one. I thought it might be nice to have another plant to take care of...." There was a small blush on her face, mostly because she was totally embarrassed by how bad she had been startled, but also because she was actually talking to a friend. It was hard to believe she'd made one honestly. She had been hoping her school years would just fly by as fast as possible so she could return home...
Just as she was thinking of something else to say a little flitterrat flew over and into the edge of her little potted plant. Was everything trying to give her a panic attack today? Goddess. When the little thing started to sniff at the little budding plant she scooped it out with her free hand. "Hey, if you're hungry I'll find you some peppermint bark...but please don't eat my plant...." The little familiar wiggled and squirmed until finally settling on her shoulder. Well, now she definitely needed to find some peppermint-bark....
"It's wonderful, the music, the food..." The weather might be colder, but that tended not to bother him. If nothing else it was an excuse to cover up more. "Peppermint brittle!" He grinned. One of his favorite snacks, but didn't get far before -something- fired up his back, squeaking. He almost missed it, save for the noise and rearrangement of his clothing, but the Nezurat that shot up his shoulder and down his arm to try and steal some brittle for itself didn't stay hidden for long.
"Rude!" He informed the small creature, moving to try and grab it, holding it protesting in one hand. "I think my friend is open to sharing, but you're some feisty little thing, aren't you?"

Odessa smiled at the plant and couldn't help herself, she reached over and hugged Kara. "Thanks! I'll treasure it." She purred softly, placing the plant on a windowsill. "We should probably get going though, yeah?"
Kiessi was rather enthusiastic about all the decorations. Sure, the Orphanage had decorations for the holidays, but nothing like this! They danced around, staring at each one of the different booths when they noticed that some of the attendants were wearing cute little reindeer antlers. "Would you like one?" One of them said and Kiessi couldn't help but nod rapidly.
"Yeah." Kara agreed. She hadn't quite expected the hug and she was sure that Odessa understood when she carefully returned it. Still, she smiled and grabbed her coat to head down to the celebration.
Anara was glancing around at the booths when she noticed one with some plushies. Her head tilted and she was prepared to steal one when the person there smiled and handed her one. "This one kind of matches you." He said, showing an endearing kind of expression that Anara didn't like all that much. Still, she accepted it.
"Thanks..." She said quietly, hugging the plushie to herself.
"Hey, we have a winner~!" Said a loud booming voice after Rorie had managed to snag a little duck that a green sticker on the bottom. "Here you go Little Man!" When the plushie was handed in his direction, the boy's eyes got big. It was larger than even he was!
Lugging a giant plushie around a festival, especially when it was nearly bigger than you, wasn't exactly an easy task. Her kept switching it from one arm to the other and wishing that Enoukn could have made it out to the festivities with her. Too bad she was stuck in be with a cold, she'd just have t bring him back all sort of fun things and tell him all about the new Daydreams she was sure to meet. As she was walking she spotted a booth that was handing out free books, definitely something right up her and Enoukn's alley. She scooped one up at random and then continued on her merry way.
Piper was still enjoying herself in the festivities. She had yet to play any of the games, but that was because she would rather look for someone to run around and play the games with. She just needed to find the right person. In her random wandering she had someone plop a boa around her neck, it was so soft. She thanked the random older Nightmare and then continued on her way, the boy trailed close to the ground behind her and attracted a fennekit, which at the moment she failed to notice completely. Her mom was giggling though as she watch her.
TARGET SIGHTED. She noticed a chimera freshling, looked about to be her age, with a giant stuffed plushie. Great way to start a conversation. She zipped over to the freshling, fennekit trailing behind her after that boa around her neck.
"Hi! I'm Piper and I think your plushie is reeeeally cute!" Let the friendship begin!
Natsuko-neko
ARYA!
"What? It's not even real. It's just a cotton ball..." Pulls one out of his bucket and tosses it into the crowd at random, laughing when he hears the inevitable screams because of the cold. It might not have been real, but it sure did feel cold. Even the bucket that held them was cold. Magic could do some weird things.
As they continued to wade through the crowd nightmare we slipping all sort of treats into stockings. He held his out and received a little bundle of purple candy canes. Score.
"Seem to me like the Academy has really outdone themselves with this one." He couldn't help it...he plucked a cotton ball from his basket and tossed it at Nott.
The geist smiled softly at the vendors as she passed them, bringing her coat up closer to her. She wasn't quite sure how often she was going to be able to attend something like this, so she might as well enjoy it! With her book in hand, she made her way to the pitching tent, ready to try her hand at the game.
With his boa wrapped around him, he strolled through the festivities, enjoying himself. There was so much food and ow! Izar found himself tugged back, nearly falling on his butt. "What the..." Standing behind him, a kidden was munching contently on his boa. "NO! That's mine!" he pulled it out, stepping back with his success. The familiar followed... Oh no.
Free of her mother, Ash quickly ran through the pavillion, taking in the sights and sounds in wonder. This was so much fun! She had already found a plant for home, but she quickly bounced over to a vendor. "Could I get this, sir?" "Of course, darling! I'll even give you a discount!" The older demon grinned, leaving Ash bouncing in excitement! Goal one, get mama a gift... Success!
