Caper kicked his little feet, willing time to pass a little bit faster so he could get to his turn. Not that he was so impatient, but he was afraid he would forget all the great things he had learned. And then - finally! His turn. Caper leaned forward the slightest in his chair. "I learned that some plants can live completely underwater," the Geist informed about aquatic plants. "They don't even have to swim. They just sit."
He had to think about his second part. "My favorite plant is Baby's Breath because you wouldn't think that all nice and pretty," Caper explained, trailing off into a wide, content smile. Yes, that would do.

To Caron was a little sad about talking about the plants of above but he said "I come from the Above, my name is Caron. The plants that I used to see a lot of wonderful fruit trees and bushes, like berry bushes. That you can eat the berries right off the bush. Trees filled with wonderful yummy fruit. I wish there was a way to grow them down here.." Caron said softly

Jonah thought about the question, and then said "I'm familiar with some of the plants of the bellow, and I've read about some of the plants of the above. "I like the herbs, that don't require much light. That do well in our world, I hope some day I can learn to use them to help others, making new medicines." Jonah was a little shy, feeling like he was actually talking to the class, set facing the other students, not just looking at the teacher.

Frost looked around the circle, hearing some really good answers. Something I learned about plants is how useful they can be. Lots of plants can help cure injuries and sicknesses." Frost fidgeted in his seat and hoped that that would be included as a 'fact'. He...wasn't really a plant nightmare. "My favorite plants are trees. Especially the ones that are good for climbing."

Decran stared at the paper in front of him. Why did it have to be drawing? He hated to draw. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate art, he did. And more power to those who liked it. But he wasn’t good at it. Sucking it up, Decran tried to recall the different stages of mitosis in his mind and pair them up with the drawings at the bottom. As he did so, he drew — rather badly — each stage in its appropriate place. When he was finished, he walked the assignment up to the teacher and handed it in.

Kieran waited their turn and shrugged when they had to say a fact about plants. "They're green?" The look they got for that answer told them they needed a better fact. "Ah, plants help oxyginate our world, which is pretty cool, I guess." Kie shrugged, "I think my favorite plants are fruit plants cause they give us yummy treats." At least that answer was easier, who didn't like fruit?

Aloe fluttered her wings, as she started on the chart, erased and started again. She was unsure if she had the answer even close to correct. She sighed, and handed the paper to the teacher. Ready to ask for a tutor if she messed up badly enough.

Eli took a deep breath as it came to his turn. "I read outside of class that 70,000 plant species are utilized for medicine," he said quietly. "Which is I think kinda cool because so of the natural world is used to keep us alive." The freshling pressed his plush tight against his body and quipped, "I think my favorite plant would have to be aloe vera. 'Cause when you look at it, you think it might hurt you because of how it looks, but it can actually be used in medicine for burns and other stuff... Like, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and all..." Trailing off, he glanced away nervously, waiting for the next freshling to go.

Rowan had grown to really like plants, so this was actually a really fun topic for them! Listening quietly to the things the other kids said before them, they tried to come up with something that wasn't said already. Finally, it was their turn - just as they came up with their fact!
"My favorite fact about plants.. is that trees of the same kind in a forest can tell each other when someone tries to eat them.. and then the other nearby trees make themselves taste bad in order to get the animal to stop!"
That probably wasn't the most correct way of explaining it, but it was the gist of it anyway. Rowan felt pretty proud that nobody else had mentioned it. "I think my favorite plant is mint. It smells and tastes really nice!"

Mana wasn't really that much of a plant person. Yeah, some flowers smelled nice, and there were plenty of veggies and fruit that were tasty to eat, but that was really were their interest ended. So this assignment gave them a little bit of trouble. It took them a while to really think of anything to say related to plants, but finally they came up with something.
"Tree sap can harden into a gemstone after a long time passes! It's called amber then, and sometimes there are small bugs trapped inside there", they said softly.
"And um.. I think my favorite plants are cherries.. I got to try them one time and they were really tasty. And they're a nice red color..." Their voice started to fade a bit towards the end, and they pulled back in their seat hoping nobody thought they were being silly.

Essei immediately pointed at the flower blooming from her chest. "This one! This is my favorite plant! It keeps me healthy and alive!" She thought she was being clever, but then she got down to it and became more serious. "Uhm uhm. Aloe. It has kinda squishy and thorny leaves, but it's good for burns and things and makes skin feel nice." She mimed squishing motions with her fingers and looked at the teacher hopefully. "And plants do pho-to-synth-esis! It means they eat sunlight."

Silas had enjoyed the section on plants they'd been learning about. They were really lovely to look at, and interesting too! When they were required to reflect on the various flora they'd learned, and pick their favorite, the Litch easily struggled to settle on just one. How did he pick only one...? there were so many! With a great deal of mulling, debating, and review internally, he finally settled on one.
"I... I li-like how... strong p-plants are... fo-for also... b-b-eing so... f-f-fragile.." he murmured at first, wringing the end of his sweater, "b-bonsai's are... my-my favorite..." he concluded with, sitting down quickly.

Lilan had a very straight forward reason for liking the current subject. And he stated it proudly when it came his turn to answer the questions prompted of them, "My favorite fact about plants is that they're pretty." he declared, with a small pause, "most of them, at least." he'd learned that's why bees and other insects were attracted to them, and the treat stored inside of them. His favorite plant didn't need much thought, either. Since finding them in their book, he'd been attracted to them, "My favorite would be the flower bleeding heart. They are the most beautiful flowers." his tone implied there was no room for debate, or disagreement, eyeing some of his classmates who might try and do just that.

Lestari scowled a bit at her paper. She'd been making that face for a couple minutes now, unsure she had gotten all the right answers. Well, she hoped it was good enough. She turned it in when she was through debating over her answers.

Crux made a face. What had she learned about plants... "Oh! Some plants are actually carni....carnivores! They eat bugs and spiders to gain the nutrients they need." She was proud of herself for remembering that one. Now for a plant she liked... "I like the ones that bloom at night. They look the prettiest." In her opinion anyway.
