Aconan had gathered in the central hivestem at the start of the party hour, but then had trundled back to this outblock to check on things. Only to find one of the trolls she planned to check on gone - and...suspiciously, Aconan hadn't seen him going in the other blocks either - or (and she quietly admitted to herself this was more likely....heard him, either.) She noted down his sudden disappearance, and leaned into her lusus, quietly communicating with him - asking him if he could track Gerard's scent. After a few minutes of waiting and Loupsus sniffing around he whined and came back.
Weird. Loupsus was brilliant at tracking scents so it was unusual he could find no trace of Gerard. Or perhaps, Aconan mused, it was more that the traces were everywhere - the troll had worn cloying perfume, after all, and that sort of scent was difficult to track sometimes because it permeated /everything/. Aconan remembered with a shudder the perigree her own hive had stunk of perfume after she brought home an interesting bottle and it had smashed accidentally and been FULL OF STINK.
Pulling a particularly disgusted face, Aconan shook herself and took a deep breath of the air. Coming up from the shake she noticed Awassi, and frowned again - they...did not look well. What if they were poisoned?! The young greenblood trotted over to ask.
"Are you okay? You're looking unwell..."
After understanding they weren't poisoned, Aconan breathed a sigh of relief, and smiled at Awassi in what she hoped was a reassuring manner.
"I am glad that you are simply troubled, rather than poisoned as I assumed. As for your troubles, I am sure things will be sorted soon!"
Then, Aconan asked her other question.
"....I don't suppose you've seen Gerard have you?"

The lights flickered once more as the purpleblood stood up. Surely after all of this was over her lusus would lock her up to recover. She looked around, Gerard was gone only Assawi was in the ball block and seemed sick. When she was about to approach them, a greenblooded kid had beaten her to them. She couldn't help but eavesdrop a bit, why was she looking for Gerard? Surely he wasn't interested in her. This kid... she had to interrogate her later. Eridia sighed and headed back to the Trophy block. Her inspiration was gone to some other block and she didn't know where to start looking for him! She was worried for Gerard once more, her hands trembled slightly as she arrived to the hallway that leads her to her destination. Why worry so much over nothing? He was a grown troll, he could take care of himself. But Comedi's words startled her a bit. That was just too much for a troll to handle, and if her senses were right, she had to speak to Awassi to complete the picture. Once she arrived, her eyes noticed everything had changed again. The other's must have noticed the changes as well because they were searching like maniacs. At least from her point of view. Again she sighed and headed towards the photo frames.Short of breath and quite weak, she noticed most of them had fallen down. Yikes, things were changing again.... Or were the evidences disappearing? Eridia was careful not to cut herself, knowing that one drip of her blood could complicate things for her without any necessity. The child began to inspect each and every picture, seeing if any of the remaining ones changed place. The looked at the voids once more, touching them as she mentally recorded everything. Her mind palace was full of information. She knew she indeed needed someone helping her, but she wasn't giving Kursha the satisfaction of seeing her writing on the wall. Eridia took the ones on the floor and looked at the images inside. Eridia wondered if anyone found her hidden message on the picture frames. She also had to confirm if the same thing that happened with her book occurred again. Could've been someone on their side who moved it... or the murderer attempting to get rid of the evidence. She still had the coordinates and intended to use them as soon as possible. Also she needed to meet them were she had told them.Eridia headed out and decided to talk to Erilyn about her future mentor and also about Comedi. "Excuse me... Erilyn... Are you ok?" She said worriedly. After they told her the were fine, Eridia sighed in relief. "Good to hear! Umm... Have you seen Gerard, I mean.." She blushed, feeling the heat rushing to her face. "H-have you seen Mister Rutven? If you don't mind.... What do you know about him? Also, you and Mister Comedi seem really close! What do you know about Comedi?"Hivestuck Investigating Photo frames Questioning Awassi about Gerard and Comedi

When she had a chance, Lorata worked her way back around to the trophy room to see how Comedi was doing. Someone had to keep an eye on him, and Erilyn had asked her to do it, right? The moment she stepped into the trophy block, though, she realized something in here had gone terribly wrong. Everything was broken and out of place, as if there'd been a fight of some kind. There was a familiar blueblood looking over the mess, but neither Comedi nor Tigwyn were here anymore.
"Sarcel!" She rushed over to the older girl, peering into the broken records case with dread. "What happened in here? Did you see where they went? Or if Comedi was okay?" Ahh, of course something had happened while she was away, she should have told someone to stay here for her! Too anxious to even stay still long enough for a full answer, she whirled to scurry back towards the east outgrowth. "I'm going to go tell Erilyn!" She wasn't entirely sure that was the first place she should go, but Erilyn had been worried about their moirail and if he was hurt, they should know, right? Or maybe they'd seen him already!
If they hadn't, she'd have to go tell everyone there might be another murder on their hands and then there'd be even more to try and solve.

Hemera returned to the ballblock, determined to discover something further in the area. She looked about, frowning some. The adults who had been here were no longer around. Creatures that had legs, using them? What a lark!
Wondering where she would go to look next, she soon caught sight of Erilyn. The host! She had not gotten to talk to them; now might be a good time, if any. Hemera wandered over, unaware of the queries Eridia and Aconan had already presented.
"Mx. Awassi," Mera greeted when she had the chance in the most unobtrusive way available to her, "are you doing all right? You are looking rather ill." She would offer assistance if only she knew, well, how. This was Erilyn's hive and not her own, so she was at a loss about where anything was. This block likely would not have access to cool water or anything else the greenblood may need. But she did wish them the best, and a better tomorrow than the now. Obviously everyone here deserved relief, but Erilyn seemed especially frazzled. And this did happen in their home, after all.
"Hmmm..." After receiving the answer, she considered some things. Rutven had been here before, among others; however, Ioyana and Comedi had seemed a little less conspicuous than Rutven, attitude-wise. She was not excited about the smoke, but at least they had used a mostly-private area for that, if anything. She cleared her throat then spoke up. "Mr. Rutven was in here before, looking antsy. Have you seen him?" They might have been here when he left, even. Or they might have passed in the hall, or...something. She was just curious if there had been a change in demeanor or if he was just looking for someone or contemplating using the abulation block....
Ahhhh, yes. Now that it came up momentarily before, there was someone else with a demeanor Mera did not know how to read. Erilyn's moirail. A looming figure who had an eerie gaze Mera couldn't meet. But certainly curious; she wondered if it would be out of line to talk to someone who knew him best. Out of her own interest, nothing suspicious. If he wasn't suspicious. Er. Anyway. "What can you tell me about Mr. Comedi?" There were plenty of other things she could ask the popstar, sure, but this was a beneficial question! Probably. As long as it didn't seem like she was digging for something when Erilyn was obviously rather stressed out.Hivestuck Grilling Erilyn about if they're ill Grilling Erilyn about if they saw Gerard Grilling Erilyn about Comedi

Erilyn's crest is made up of medals, royal sabres and bolas. It's personalized and quite deadly looking, but run of the mill for a troll. On closer inspection you notice something off. [!] The creature is hanging open at the torso. You notice a crevice inside of its plush body and reach in... [!] You take a look at the records case. It's shattered. You poke around. [!] You inspect the walls for their many frames. On closer inspection, there are some interesting pictures here. [!]

Satisfied for the time being with her information, Hemera chose to give Erilyn a break. There were enough children pestering the greenblood; considering how downtrodden they looked, it would only be decent to let them have some space. Anyway, Mera had not checked this room out as much as she should have. She had chatted some trolls up, sure, but she hadn't looked at things. Not since the piano, anyway. And even that was brief, thanks to Eridia.
She was going to make up for lost time. Mera started by taking a look around the ballblock, as well as the trophyblock. She was amazed at the new state the latter had been left in; what had happened here in such a short time? But plenty of trolls were already looking at different parts of that room. It only made sense, considering the huge shift compared to the ballblock. No, she would sniff around the other block instead. Retracing her steps, Hemera returned to the previous space, and took a gander at the curtains. She hadn't taken the time to look at them before. She would have to remember the color and pattern later for her own reference. She touched them, looked behind them, did as much as she could while trying not to look too obvious at the same time. Unfortunately, it was hard. At one point, she even got herself caught in them and raised a mighty fuss, yelping a little as she struggled. Her horns were not making the situation any easier.
Pagoni intervened. He untangled the hanging sheet with his beak, and she was free once more...albeit a little embarrassed. Hopefully no one had caught that gaffe, especially the host across the way. Mera smoothed her dress, tried not to cringe, and took stiff, focused steps in an effort to recover.
Trying to look unaffected, she turned her attention to the Victrola. What a wonderful, quaint device! A music aficionado like Erilyn wouldn't be as genuine without one, Mera figured. Part of her wished she could take it apart, see if it was as simple as it looked... Something to research later. For now, she would just observe and come to her own conclusion in an unobtrusive fashion. Investigating it and the lounge it sat in made her wonder if the piano in the main chamber would play music much different from the music device? Would they be the same genre? Maybe even same song, though perhaps different instruments? She may never know...
Now that she had time to pull herself together, Mera tore herself away from the morose 'what if's. Erilyn had been left on their own for a bit; perhaps it would be fine to approach them again. There were still many things left to ask. Heck, she had an important question she had been afraid of asking up until this point! But Epratt had been dead for a few hours now. She might be able to ask after him, and from the host who had to deal with Epratt biting the dust in their own home. With pleasant hesitance, Mera step by step returned to Erilyn. "Forgive me if this curiosity is out of place, but what do you know about the deceased guest, Epratt?" At the start of the event, hadn't Erilyn been keeping Epratt company?Hivestuck Searched curtains Checked out Victrola Asked Erilyn about Epratt

Eridia thought for a second, putting the picture together was hard. Though at least something made sense. She looked back at the greenblood with a smile. A couple of more questions wouldn't hurt right? After all she was helping! She took a page from the new book her father got her for her to record things easier. She was pretending to write what the other said and instead wrote the 'murder instructions' and "Do not fail me, you will get your pay if you succeed." All was written in black and pretty hasty. Also she used her left hand for it. It would be stupid to write it with her handwriting. "Gerard was in here earlier looking... antsy. Have you seen him?" She said, blushing a bit more. All she felt was admiration for the commissioner, he was a role model in her eyes. "I'm sorry...." She paused thinking why did they ask 'who?'. Didn't they invited him? Or was it the queen? Eridia felt like she should change the topic. This was just getting awkward. "Mx. I heard that you had military merits! If I may ask, what made you give up your military service?"EDITED!Hivestuck Questioned Awassi about giving up their military service!

Ҕᾁʐɱᾁʂ Ҏӫςɧῒɱ xxxxxx Eastern Outgrowth > Southern Outgrowth || Trophy Block Seeing the mess in the training block and the state Comedi had been in had brought up a lot of questions for the young greenblood. He hadn't been to visit the North or South outgrowths in a while, so he knew he must've been in one of those two during the previous hour - Hazmas just needed to know which one. Upon entering the Trophy Block, he figured which one it was. With the various pieces of the block destroyed, and even the crest nearly upended, Hazmas had little doubt Comedi was somehow involved, just as he was more than likely involved in mess of the East Outgrowth's Training Block.
Tentatively, the young troll began exploring the block, starting with the taxidermied high art he'd first investigated. The waste of space was nearly torn in half, it's weirdly plush surface now sporting bits of its inside structure, rendering it much more interesting to the green blood now than had been before. Carefully, he poked and prodded his way through the mess, hoping to find some evidence regarding the block's unfortunate fate. After several minutes, he looked around for more clues and spotted the record case he and Eridia had been unable to open.
With pieces of it scattered about the immediate area, the case seemed to be more than obliging to the idea of being investigated. Looking around to make sure no one was looking his way, Hazmas crept over to the records case and began shuffling through it. His eyes scanned over the various accomplishments of their hostess and paused at the military records. Comedi's words echoed back to him as a new thought entered his mind. Quickly, he sifted further through the records until he'd examined everyone of them, and set them back as best he could before hurrying out of the block.

Eostre made her way back into the ballblock, giving a polite nod to Erilyn. She hoped they felt better soon, and that perhaps the party could get back on schedule. Taking a seat on the chaise chair, she decided to take a breather on the investigation and wait. Surely she could find something important here. However, it only seemed like the mysteries multiplied as the night went on. She took a quick look at the Victrola, a lovely little addition to the ballblock. The blueblood wondered where Erilyn got such a thing, and if they had their own vinyls to play on it. When the lights went out, she stood up from her seat and stealthily made her way under the chandelier. Luckily, there was already a chair placed underneath it from earlier, when that purpleblood she spoke to about Gerard was looking at the camera as well. That made it that much easier for her to step up and reach the camera. Tilting her face down and reaching to block out the camera's lens first, she groped around with her other hand until she was able to shut it off. As she watched the red light go out, she released the camera, and stepped down. Then she took her leave of the outgrowth, as quiet as she came in.Hivestuck checkin out the victrola (:

Eridia walked about south, man she was going to miss this place when this was all over. She laughed, knowing she was already sick of this hive. She had spent plenty of time here. Eridia wanted to rush over Erilyn and keep on asking them questions and find her missing Rutven and also check for left over clues. The child was going to take this chance to examine the chandelier once more, hopefully no one touched it.Eridia took the chair once more and set it under the chandelier. Somehow, she wasn't tired of doing just that. The child touched its prisms and looked at the base, checking for any imperfections that weren't there before. She stood on her tip toes, trying to find what was hidden on its base. Her arms and entire body were stretched out, pain emerged once more. She knew she shouldn't be pushing herself to hard but there was a case to be solved. Eridia got a bit distracted by the beautiful prisims. It wouldn't hurt them to take one now would it? She snapped back to reality, her sniffnode wrinkled as she knew that wasn't right. Plus that could incriminate her in some way. She groaned and resumed observing the object.
