Haku Jo's sneer became a very obvious frown as the giant multi-colored chicken ignored his sarcasm. In fact, if it came to betting, he would put a small succulent on her rather enjoyin the acidic whip of his tongue. That and the bird brain confusing him with jewelry. Chickens were weird... Giving a huff, he glanced around. "If you must know, I happen to like chaos. It distracts people from talking to me. " he muttered. Hoping like hell she would get the hint. If she didn't, he might just be forced to play along.

Pelagious, oblivious to his red and yellow shadow, frowned when Kleta abruptly changed directions. Surely she had seen him. Had he not been noticible enough?
He drew up short of entering the massive throng of people. He didn't want to sully his new coat. And besides, they seemed to be busy with an arrow of some kind. So he waited for Watson/Lanny to catch up. While he glanced about, hoping to get a clue as to where his favorite Goddess had gone to, he noticed another Goddess standing against a pillar by the booze table. Maybe she had seen something... Pointing, he announced to the general area "Ah ha!" before charging toward Euphrysone. Yet again forgetting that he was supposed to be working WITH Lanny. Not at him.

Euphrosyne had been contemplating her wine glass when she was startled by a mortal's shout. Almost as soon as she looked up, a fishy-looking male was practically in her face. Abruptly she held him at arm's length, as she didn't appreciate anyone being in her personal space unless invited.
"Can I help you?" she inquired with an upturned eyebrow.
Looking past him, she noted another male, red and gold, approaching. He looked somewhat familiar--ah yes. She recognized him as her nephew. To her embarrassment, though, she couldn't quite remember his name...So she settled for smiling cordially at him.
Lannister watched the green goddess disappear into the crowds, she seemed evasive. They would certainly have to question her later, but she wasn't worth chasing after right now. He was just going to have to convince his partner of that. Thankfully, it seemed that Pelagious moved on pretty fast... really fast... Lannister was struggling to keep up with his partner, but he managed.
Lannister followed in step to the goddess, Euphrosyne. It seemed other pae were heading to talk to her, or maybe they were just interested in the drinks. Lannister had no interest in the beverages personally. He was hesitant to speak up, but he didn't want to get left in the dust. Perhaps the fact that he was a relative would provide her with encouragement. "Hello," he greeted her with a bow. "I'm Hymnaios' son, Lannister and this is Pelagious. We were hoping you might enlighten us with anything you might know about... what happened." His head dropped slightly. There was no easy way to ask about the murder, perhaps he would get better at it over time.

"Well, I came to see what I could do for cleaning up the temple. For a friend of mine. I wasn't expecting to see anyone else here, honestly." Serendipity smiled a little, a blush tinting her cheeks as she thought of Iordanes. A small yelp of surprise came from the Fae as she was forcefully shoved forward. Lucky for her, Himeros had wonderful reflexes, and caught her before she hurt herself in a fall. What had knocked into her- was that a child?! Who would bring a child to this? She gave Naomi a confused look before her attention was taken to what another of the deities was saying.
She heard the comment from Harmonia- ok, they were searching for clues over something. What had happened here? Clearly other pae knew what was going on, so it wasn't as if it was a secret. Was it that painful for Iordanes to not have told her? A pang of hurt hit her in the heart at the thought that maybe he felt he couldn't open up to her. Maybe they weren't as close as she'd thought.
A familiar voice touched her ears, and Serendipity twisted quickly to see Iordanes. Her face broke into a bright smile as he greeted her, all her worries lost. His hands took hers, and she couldn't help but step up into him; she would follow him to the ends of the world if he asked for her company there. "Iordanes, I'm so happy to see you, as always."

Allowing her to take the lead, Hjortur looked again to the room about them. It was interesting how relatively few he recognized from the previous times he'd been there; why someone completely unrelated to the matter would involve themselves, he'd never understand.
Of course, if not for that, he wouldn't have this lovely lady to spend his time with today.
Reaching to take the offered glass, Hjortur flashed a smile as he verbalized his thanks. He swished the liquid around in the glass twice before bringing it closer to sniff and, after a moment, taste. "Wow, what a nice wine to bring out considering the situation." It actually struck him as a little odd, but he wouldn't complain.
As for the goddess he'd wished to speak with, well... It appeared that they'd been beaten to the punch. No matter. Making eye contact with Kaarina and then flicking his gaze towards the three of them, he moved to the side of Lannister. Bowing his head lightly in greetings, "Would you be so kind as to let us to join in on your conversation? I could not help but hear mention of the event..." he raised his glass just slightly as he addressed the goddess. "On an unrelated note, many thanks for the aperitif; were you the one to prepare it... Euphrosyne, was it?"

Some may have been offended to the hand raised up to shush her in the way one might shush an impatient child, but Luminita merely blinked and remained silent. She opened her mouth to give her name, but closed it without a sound since the hand remained lifted.
"And what I'd meant to ask was where do you think the arrow came from before it was deposited where you found it."
Luminita mouthed the word OH and softly clapped the side of her fist down on her palm.
"Don't the gods' arrows disappear on impact?"
Luminita tilted her head before shrugging. Did they? She didn't even know the gods had arrows! There was so much yet to learn; she couldn't wait to tell Esmee of this discovery. Perhaps this had some connection to the strange behavior's on Valentine's...
"f we track down where the arrow came from, we might find the significance of the cord. Not to mention who fired it."
Grinning, Luminita nodded twice before giving a thumbs-up to Selah. That seemed like a great idea! Pointing to herself, she waiting, smiling, for the hand to go down so she could introduce herself and direct her to where she'd found the arrow.

Naomi felt the arms around her and the girl she crashed into, "Ooof... Oh I'm so sorry!" she tried to extract herself from the fray, she heard the male's claim to being more then enough of him to go around and she blushes slightly. "I'm sorry really I am... My son pulled me into you..." she would have continued but it appeared the pae she'd crashed into no longer had any interest in the fact she had crashed into her. She didn't know any of the pae who was in this little fray of pae and now felt rather embarrassed she'd not paid better attention to where she was being pulled. Ashen thought it was all fun and games and now that there was yet another body in the group he flung his little arms as far around all the legs there while still holding his mother's hand "GROUP HUG!" he bellows plenty loud enough to be heard by all there. He had no true grasp of the real reason they were all there, is was all just some extra fun to him.

While his partner marched off to ask a few questions, Tassos caught himself offering a faint grin at the motion. Such a good kid. Eager to follow direction and even more so swift in wanting to get this job done.
With a satisfied chuckle he continued further down the hallway inspecting on as he went. Every now and then, he'd glance back into the room, making sure his partner was within eyesight.
As he started getting further and further away, however, a nagging pit in his stomach forced him to turn back and wait for his new friend to finish her interrogations. He didn't feel comfortable being too far away from anyone else in this kind of a danger.
He crossed back into the room and stood almost behind Amaya, but off to the side a bit. His hands folded together behind him as he waited patiently.
He took this opportunity to listen to the conversation at hand though.

Only faintly comforted by being surrounded by her family, Seneca felt as though she could curl up into a ball and slink away from the growing crowd. Large groups of people made her nervous. Not that she had anything to hide, mind you. She merely just allowed her shy nature to take over and felt the strong need to clam up whenever surrounded by people she didn't really know.
Not that she was going to, however. She stayed right at Shansa's side, listening to all her brothers, sisters, and so on talk amongst each other. And also to the mortals.
Her family needed her here to help them and support them in any way. They needed to solve this to find some sort of closure and bring justice down upon those that were responsible. It needed to be done. For Mother. For them. But more importantly for Mother.
Tourmaline followed in silence behind Ky, her eyes wide and taking in everything around them. She couldn't help but stare at all of the gods around them. She had never seen one before, never been to one of Venus' parties, and now she couldn't even count all of the ones she saw on her hands. It was an incredible sight.
When Ky took her hand and squeezed it, she felt her attention hyper-focus on him. A soft smile came over her face and she gently squeezed his hand back and reached over with her other hand to rub his arm in comfort. As Ky asked her a question, she snorted softly and gave him a look: did he really expect her to know?
With a gentle tug, she pointed towards some of the many gods, goddesses, and graces. She looked back at Ky with a tilted head, wondering if he'd catch on that she wanted to talk to one. Since he would have to talk, she assumed that he would chose who to go to; personally she was curious about all of them.

Aliza scooted a little bit to allow room for her sister. "Point your mirror over there, in that doorway. Keep watching even after everyone is gone." Zuleika would see the same scene, if she watched long enough, that Aliza did.
Aliza had witnessed in her mirror the cloaked figure slip in through the cracks like liquid shadows. It took the tiny pink arrow shaft and disappeared just as it entered.
When the mortal from just below the twins' perch asked her a question, Aliza bit her lip and pondered delivering this information. It wasn't meant to be overheard. She supposed that this was the final investigation so no stone left unturned. She motioned for Zuzu to follow her her down to the floor. "After everyone left, someone - something - was here. I ... I don't know who it was. Eris maybe? But I've never seen her so I don't know. But whoever it was they took the little cherub arrow shaft. Could it have been the murderer returning to the scene of the crime?"
She wondered if Eris might have hurt Adonis to get back at her grandmother. It sounds like something the demented Goddess of Discord might do, all things considered.
Lola nodded as she started to move to the left. She kept her eyes peeled and her ears open. She caught bits and pieces of conversation that they passed by but it didn't seem anyone had any more clues. It was more idle chatter if anything. There seemed to be several groups forming, most of them seemed to be around the deities which wasn't a bad idea. They might know something...Then again from what she heard it was all idle conversation as well. No...Tips. Nothing they could work with...Plus the orange already seemed to have several females hanging off of him oh geeze...Wait where'd all this wine come from? Holy spirits how was anyone suppose to solve anything if they were smashed out of their mind? This was not helping.
"I'm not even to sure what we're suppose to be looking for. I'm sure whatever investigation went on, they found everything to be found...It's been so long after all. Starting with what they might know would be good..If we could find them."

Clues
Venus had been popping in and out of the investigation, too emotional to be of any use to anyone. However, those who may have caught sight of her over the last couple of seasons would notice something a little odd with the Goddess of Love.
She was never without her weapon at her side.

Adonis had walked into a trap. One of the suspected killers surprised him from behind.
((Keep on RPing as you all are, because it's great so far! Some subtle clues have been dropped by members of the House of Venus, so make sure to keep an eye on those pae.
These are the first two official clues. How did your pae discover the above information? Maybe they just assume?))

Seren walked along side the pae she now knew as Lola, she too looked at the area around them and tried to catch snatches of conversation and hopefully clues from those around them. She shook her head at the group of pae across the room that hung on each other and also noticed the two twins sitting upon a column, one looked awful distraught. "What do you think they are discussing?" she asked Lola quietly and pointed across to the twins while slowing down slightly to observe them.

He earned himself another laugh as the harpy laced her own fingers together and cooed, "That is adorable, little curio. Good effort!" He'd failed marvelously, bad luck being the only mule in a crowd of bobbles. His notion of being ignored was in itself completely ignored.
With her gentle smile she started to get him on track, "Now, curio, the first step is to find out what everyone knows to put the pieces together. The arrow they found." Her gesture was vaguely in the direction of Luminita, "The arrow found seemed weird, besides being here of course. If it isn't normal wood then its an extra clue." Her words were spoken slower to try and help him understand, it wouldn't do to confuse the poor dear. "Best start would be to ask the Deities, you might get some truth out of every three or so. The world is so different for the little gems." With a sigh she placed a hand on her cheek oh so filled with empathy.
Her Mistress worried her, the poor dear was so stressed. Long was the carefree Venus she and her sisters doted on, that she had to arm herself was alarming. Very smart if some pae was able to fell a Deity but still no less distressing on the flock.
Harmonia glanced at the small pae requesting a 'group hug', he really didn't know who he was talking to. For one, she did not do especially well with children. They could go to places adults could not, that held some promise. Children also reminded her of younger half siblings that she had not tried to reach out. In the crowd the twins were spotted if only briefly. Their existence didn't exactly help the very poor harmony that the family never really had in the first place, but this was the investigation into their father's murder.
Had her own been slain well, she wasn't sure how she'd feel about that. If it happened in a vacuum the murder itself wasn't troubling as much as the impact it had on her Mother. It was a crime against all things that Venus didn't feel safe.
At least the brother trying to be nice offered something close to a semblance of comfort to her. He was trying at least so she reached out, "Are you sure brother? Maybe some wine?" He seemed more..more Pothos than normal. Did he have more reason then most? It was curiosity if she could get the answer out of him.

Kaarina sipped her wine, it truly was a nice wine. The one who had brought it clearly had good tastes. "Indeed it is good."
She followed Hjortur as he headed over to the group who seemed to be talking to the one who had brought the wine. She was surprised that her companion seemed to know the deities name. Although if one where to attend the party often she supposed they'd end up learning the names of the ones who hosted it.
She gave a short nod to the people who where gathered around the table. "Thank you for the wine it was lovely."
After she had thanked the goddess, she began to focus intently on the discussion that they had interrupted about the night of the incident.

Shasna was glad to have her sister by her side. Part of her was still worried that the incident might tear their family apart but as long as they had each other it would be okay right?
The crowd of people seemed to continue to grow in size, knowing her sister was uncomfortable with large groups she nudged Seneca's arm and indicated to the temple roof with her head before moving over to it.
She hoped that being a bit farther away form all the people would help to make her sister feel a little better.
