Its technically the original, but this could be the 3rd generation of students. Also referenced as Season 3, Series 3, Generation 3, or the 3rd "storyline".

I'm sorry to inform you that's neither how obtaining your starter or shininess works in Akumu. You have to take a test to determine your class, and you have to take a test to determine your selection of Pokemon. Shininess is still very much a matter of luck and probability.

After your class assignment test you may take one of three tests associated with that class. Each test pertains to one of three types for that class. The pokemon you receive will be of that type, and all the questions will be about that type. Depending on how many questions you answer correctly you will be given a choice of 3 pokemon. You pick 1 to be your starter.
Longinus is Fire, Fighting, and Flying. Trickster is Water, Poison, Electric. Aegis is Grass, Steel, Fairy.
If you for example took the Fighting-type test you'd get a choice of Fighting-type Pokemon.

I hate barracuda. I work at a hospital, and on my break, but it still blocks me from opening new screens for gaia. It allows me half access to it, and I am happy about that, but its such a pain to work around it. I can't access the test is what I am trying to say.
