Much to his surprise, the Kenpachi had not moved a muscle simply allowing the devastating barrage of attacks to connect and pelt his body. The man was surprisingly sturdy as he simply shrugged off his attacks, before releasing his Shikai. The blonde Shinigami felt a sickening feeling, though it is easily shrugged off as well. Those ice blue eyes burning with determination as his skill is actually recognized by his captain. "That impressed you? You haven't seen anything yet." Kazuki states in a far more playful manner than before. Wind whips up around him causing dirt and dust to be picked up with it, while lightning crackles down his body forming something that resembles the scales and wings of a dragon. The gaze fierce as Kenpachi claims that it was his turn next. "Make it a good one then, Taicho." He would respond in his typical playful banter. This was it.. the fight that Kazuki thought he wanted. If someone could push him to his limits it would be the Eleventh Division's Kenpachi.. the massacre of Inuzuki. His eyes narrowed as the flurry of heavy sword swings came his way, each one enough to deal serious injury if he allowed them to land, yet he did not move. Holding our his left arm he took the blade of Kenpachi's zanpaku-tou, before sending a charge of his own Eternal Shunko into the weapon in an attempt to weaken and destroy it. "That it? I guess that makes it my turn once more... Right Taicho?" With a push, Kazuki sends the remains, or full, weapon aside leaving the captain's chest wide open. "Rai Shikon!!" He yelled out while drawing his right fist back, lighting crackling and crashing off it as it condensed around his fist. The next few seconds seemed to go by in slow motion as the crimson clad, vice captain swings a powerful blow aimed to crack directly into his open chest. "Survive this, Taicho... I haven't even shown you my Bankai yet and it would be unfitting to let you perish without seeing it."
Actions Used [Offensive] Rai Shikon After charging his right arm with Lighting, Kazuki delivers a powerful straight infused with this elemental energy. Attack Speed is equal to his Spd +5, and its Power is his Str +15. Opponent's struck by this attack are Stunned [can not Attack/Defend] for their next post; if their Sta is less than the Attack Power. [4 SE] [Defensive] Weapon Breaker If Kazuki's Defensive Power +80 is higher than the Attack/Offensive Power of an attack; negates the damage of the attack. If not higher; then he attacks the attack vs his Def instead of Defensive Power. If successful deal damage to the weapon used in the attack equal to his [Shunko/Eternal Shunko] vs its Hardness before it takes damage. [6 SE] [Augment] Fighting Spirit: Shrug it Off When an opponent tries to use a technique against Kazuki that has an effect that lowers his combat prowess; they must beat a comparison of Kazuki's SP +40 vs their [Stat] - [whatever stat they were using to try and debuff]. If they fail they cannot use the same technique against him again this combat. Combat Prowess includes but is not limited too; lowering of any stats, reduction to offensive or defensive powers and speed, ect. [4 SE] [Augment] Shunko By relying purely on a fusion of Hakuda and Kido energy, the user of this technique can surround their arms and legs in a swirling, unstable mass of energy, allowing them access to a New Stat called [Shunko] which is equal to their [50% Speed or 50% Strength (Whichever is Higher) + 50% Spirit Power] and is used for calculating melee attack power. This can be combined with zanpakuto that are hand's free [like Soi Fon's finger poker]. XXXRin took a deep breath and shrugged off the effects of both combatants. A deep inhale, then a slow exhale as she rid her body of impurities. Both were giving into their fervor, their lusts for blood and violence. Kazuki's was more pure in motivation, a seeker of glory over the lust for blood, but the current Kenpachi's aura was mired in filth. He was weighed down by the lives he had already took. The blood swirled around him in a miasma of death and decay, sullying a brilliant soul.
It was at this time Yuisis and Rin's own sister, Kaida. The normal flare of Kaida was slightly dimmed, a single spark waiting to ignite. It was not normal to see her this way, though it was not unexpected. They had both been impacted by the death of their family member and it had taken its toll. Rin was slightly more disheveled than normal and there were dark circles beneath both of her moon-like eyes. There was a slight tilt to her lips as the two women sat down beside her. Both of them offered a simple greeting and Rin nodded in response. That was when she took the opportunity and risk of resting her temple against Kaida's shoulder. The younger sister had always been a pillar of strength, even as abrasive as she could be, and was someone to lean against. Rin had been through much. The stress of leading her own division. Dealing with the aftermath of the invasion. Now, grieving the loss of a loved one. It had taken many long nights of meditation and contemplation to sort through all these feelings and now she was trying to rest against someone familiar while watching a monumental fight for captaincy.

Kenpachi of Inuzuri, that's what he was called. A fearsome man with ferocious potential. A lethal zanpakuto and a taste for murder that made him the god of war that he had been but it was in the blink and flash of a moment that he had found his successor. A man with the same taste for combat and the power to back it up. 'Dammit...I think...this might be the end here...', he thought as he felt himself slam into the ground from his repelled attack. The shrapnel of his shattered zanpakuto clattering all around him as he started to bleed out from a lethal wound that had nearly killed him and would soon.
"K...Kazuki...Finish me like a man. I want to die to your bankai...", he sputtered as blood began to leak from his mouth. Evidence of severe internal hemorrhaging. He did not have much time left, but it was clear that his last wish was to die in an epic display to his protégé's full power. He then barely raised his head up off the ground and gave the fearsome master of Shunko a cocky grin, weakened by the loss of blood and his organs beginning to cry mercy. It was even on the edge of death, he was still going to go out smiling like the demon he always was.
Cool, blue eyes stare intently at Kenpachi laying broken on the floor. His spirit, and body, all but shattered as shards of his Zanpaku-tou clattered around him. Even in this pathetic state, he still managed to left his head and give that smile to his challenger. "Idiot." Kazuki answered his request to see his Bankai and to finish him in similar fashion, "You are a demon... a monster... you deserve no pity as you have never given any." A single tear ran down his cheek as he now glares to him. Despite not being a murderer; this was the Eleventh Division... the rules required his life for his haori. His fist clenched so tight that the leather creaked as his hands would shake. "Howl Kamaitachi! Roar Raiju! Show them our Ferocity!" The male's voice going monotone, lacking the typical emotion that shined through. The winds whip up, howling around the Vice Captain as a black metal runs up his arms till both are covered from shoulder to finger in the material. Lighting crackles and roars around him next while some of the metal elongates and changes color to red, effectively giving the man claws on each hand and a short blade above either elbow. The transformation a flashy one, much like Kazuki himself. "This is my Bankai... but it is not where I am going to end this with. No.. you would take nothing but my best... haunting me about holding back. After all.. what Hell could hold the Kenpachi of Inuzuri." His tone stabilizing once more, but clearly not one of joy. "Ya see... you focused on your increasing your proficiencies of death... I focused on bonding with my spirit.. and my friends." The claws on his right hand stretch out as the blonde male closes his cold blue eyes. The energy whipping and winding around Kazuki would slowly die down as it flowed into him. The metallic style arms melted away into single sword held in his right hand. His normally cool blue eyes flashed golden, as his long golden hair shifted color to a deep blue. Light blue scales now covering his upper chest, arms, and lower body. The scaling on his shoulders, lower arms, and legs would be larger and thicker more akin to armor plating than skin. Finally from nowhere... a long, thin, reptilian tail whips out from behind him. "This is my fused form. The pinnacle of my power." Kazuki spoke in a softer voice with a slight feminine echo to it. The male would then flap those wings made of spiritual particles as the he tossed the sword in the air.. letting it to vanish into the ether of energy. With the added energy sprouts a blade of pure reishi from Kazuki's right wrist. "Raiji!" He roars out with a thunderous boom, tailed behind by the wispy echo. The large man would rush forward while lightning and energy crackled around his body shaping him more so into a giant beast of lightning. Striking through Kenpachi.. aiming to end it with a single clean cut through his neck. Appearing once more behind the forming captain.. the title of Kenpachi is own, as the honor of the haori. The blade from his wrist faded away, and soon the new Captain took a knee as his appearance returned to normal once more... clearly tired from exertion.

Kenpachi felt a sense of pride in those last moments of life as Kazuki called him a demon and all of the things that he had loved about himself. Murder and death were the tools of the trade in the Eleventh Division, and the speech about bonding and growing with the powers of one's spirit only meant one thing to the dieing captain in those last seconds before the blade touches his neck. 'He's going to be the biggest demon of all...', and then it took moments for him to process his own death.
The taste of blood felt so familiar to Kenpachi as his eyes fluttered and death finally took it's toll. It was moving on to the Afterlife, a realm of cleansing and rebirth that was his destination now. Though what adventures awaited the Devil of Inuzuri in his next life were unknown. The roads he would travel, the lives he might live. It was as if he was free... 'See you later, on the other side...', where his last waking moments and then his head seperated from his body and the two disappeared. Leaving behind his ruined clothes and tattered haori.
XXX Yuisis waited patiently at first her hands firmly gripping the clothing she wore. Grey eyes could not and would not be moved from the battle that was taking place. Not long after the young woman had joined Rin to observe the fight Kaida would join the pair. "It's good to see you as well. Both of you." she would reply. The two of them seemed off. However she could not place her finger on it. Besides the battle presented before her took precedence within her mind. Most of her fears were washed away as the battle was very one sided. As the battle progressed the outcome would become more and more clear. However her fears were never fully washed way until the demon was decapitated. In no way did Yuisis enjoy watching someone's life snatched away from them. However considering how many lives that the demon had taken it was hard to feel even a small amount of sympathy to the soul who lacked any form of humanity. However when the fear faded she felt happy for her new boyfriends success. Perhaps even guilty for even being afraid of the outcome even a little. The belief in hope became more clear as the potential of the division shined once more. After the dust settled, Yuisis would stand up from where she was sitting. With soft steps she would approach where Kazuka was kneeling from exhaustion. She would extend her hand to offering to help him back up. "It's over. You did it."

►Daisuke made it to squad 11 and made it through the audience to see the old captain get decapitated. His eyes widened as a hand covered his mouth in shock. He knew they were brutal and such but never seen it in action. He regained his composure as he took notice of the new captain as well as the other two vice captains. It seemed his luck was turning around. He cleared his throat and bowed politely to the three." Its a pleasure to see you all. I am Daisuke Higurashi 4th seat of squad 9. My captain tasked me with interviewing the vice captains and captains of each squad." He said before noticed a small wound on kazuki. " Your strength must be on another level to just get a small cut like that from fighting a captain. " he said as he placed his hand above his." The soothing air shall restore your hope for them you must defend. Chiyudo Second Wind." He said as Kazuki would feel a cold breeze of air from his wind reiatsu which sealed the wound. He then readied his note pad and returned his attention to them."So do you guys want a group interview or a separate one." He said in a cheerful tone. This was a great opportunity for him. He was making a lot of progress with the interviews. At this rate he is going to be done faster than anticipated. He was also glad to meet the higher ranking members of the squads as well as see the different personalities of each squad vice captain and Captain of the squads. He was enjoying this task. For the next issue he will suggest they interview the seated officers of the division . This was his favorite part about being in squad 9..

Kaida sat in silence next to her sister as they watched the two fight to the death as was the tradition for the captain position in the 11th, it was a strange sight for all who knew her to see the usual fiery demeanour of the little dragon to be so lacking, so devoid of passion for the very thing she loved after all she lived for battle, the thrill of a fight for survival but here she was, quiet and smouldering. She had not really been really paying attention to the fight due to being lost in her own thoughts, could she truly thrive in the first like she had in the fourth or was it just something she felt she had to do? Kaida was brought out of her own thoughts when she felt something press against her shoulder, looking down to see her older sister resting her head on her shoulder and in a rare moment of sisterly love Kaida returned the affection. It was a moment that despite how Kaida viewed her sister as somebody to surpass in swordsmanship she was still her older sister and she loved her, they were both going through a difficult time due to the death of a family member, they had to lean against each other.
Kaida gave the fight her full attention now just in time to watch her former captain launch an attack only to have Kazuki break his zanpakuto in response, something that she had not expected her friend to do much less pull off against a butcher like Kenpachi but what followed after was even more shocking to her, Kazuki had gone one step further and fused with his zanpakuto and that was when she could feel it. The heat building up inside her soul, the beginnings of a new flame that was threatening to go wild and set the world ablaze, to become a raging inferno once, a fact that was mirrored by her zanpakuto as Akamutorumu's fury was being reignited alongside Kaidas as the air around it became to grow visibly hotter...and then the fight was over, settled in once final strike separating the butchers head from his body.
Yuisis was the first of the three to stand, followed quickly by Kaida as she walked over to the tattered haori to pick it up. She held it in her hands for a moment as she looked over the piece of cloth "This could have been mine if I wasn't called away during the fight..." her hand would instinctively move down towards the handle of her weapon as she looked over at Kazuki "At least it went to somebody who deserved the title." Kaida tossed the piece of cloth towards Kazuki "Be glad I'm no longer part of this division Kazuki or i would do what you just did to that butcher and unlike that pathetic weakling, it wouldn't be as easy for you to win." her attitude was returning, the self assuredness, the cockiness, it was clear it still wasn't an inferno yet but the fire was there ready to go wild.

XXXRin was jostled from her near stupor as Kaida stood, the battle was over; Kazuki had won. The haori was his, he was the captain of the eleventh division now. Kazuki would be known as the strongest warrior, Kenpachi. The elder sister of the Akagi family stood slowly, dusting herself off as she adjusted her own captain's garb. It had been an overwhelming victory that Kazuki would be able to celebrate for many days. There was a smile gracing the smaller captain's lips as she followed behind Kaida.
While Kazuki had taken the life of his opponent, the man had wished for an honorable death and the blow had been swift. It was the best he could do in that moment. It would have been more painful for the former kenpachi to live in shame than to have died a warrior's death. He was, also, already dead before the final blow had been struck. Rin witnessed the fading of his spirit even before his knees had touched the ground. There had been a revelation then, Rin had realized that the death of an enemy was not only physical. That a swift end would mean the severing of one's soul along with their body. How could she attain that? She pondered as she walked up to the now Kenpachi.
"Congratulations Kazuki." She breathed with a soft bow, her head tilted towards what remained of the former captain's zanpakuto. Where his body had faded, the hilt of the ruined weapon remained. Slowly she stooped and picked up the handle, rolling it in her slender, pale hands. "..here." She said, the hand bearing the former blade outstretched towards Kazuki. It was at this moment that a peculiar member of the ninth division appeared asking for interviews from all the captains & vice-captains present. Rin decided then that she needed to depart to preserve her own clarity. Otherwise, she would be here all day, with how many potential interviewees there were currently present. Rin gave Kaida and Yousis a hug, clasping hands with Kazuki, and bowing to the ninth divisional member before quickly collecting her things. "I am sorry..I must see to the 7th division. Please excuse me."

The fight was over.. Kenpachi was dead; or rather, Kazuki was now the Kenpachi of the Eleventh Division. The toned male not even really understand why he took a knee.. the fight was not that much a challenge. Yet here he knelt gripping his fist tightly as he panted and stared at the floor. That is when a jolt run down his back as he was touched.. it was soft and warm... loving... Yuisis was by his side helping him to his feet and congratulating him for slaying the Demon of Inuzuri. Wordlessly, an oddity for the typically boisterous shinigami, stood and wrapped her up in his arms, hugging the lovely Sanada girl closely. "Thank you for being by my side, Yui-chan" He would whisper into her ear, as Kaida and Rin walked over to them.
Catching the cloth that the small dragon had tossed, he smirked hearing her brag that a fight against her would not have been so easy. "I hold ya to that promise, Small Dragon-chan. All I know is that we can test that in academy anymore." Kazuki teased in the same mocking tone used by the young Akagi, "Your turn though, Kaida. I wanna see that inferno to return." He wipes the sweat from his fore head with the cloth and smirks as the small woman left with purpose to her own destiny. His gaze then moved to Akagi Rin with a warm smile. He knew she couldn't see it, but he always liked to think she just could pick up on his moods. Gently releasing Yuisis from their embrace, the larger male gave her a bow and accepted the hilt of the former Captain's Zanpaku-tou from her. "Thank you, Rin-chan. It was a honor to have you witness my challenge." Before the report crept in, the new captain of eleventh wrapped his arms around the blind girl giving her a big, warm hug. That is when Daisuke entered kinda killing the mood. "Read a room, Buddy." Kazuki would say as he reaches out and takes Yuisis's hand in his, interlocking his fingers with hers. "Sorry... No interview." The pair would step outside watching their friends go their own ways. "See... I told you that I would never you, Yui-chan. You are stuck with me for the long haul."
