Tora smiles sweetly at him when he says that they're boyfriend and girlfriend. She feels like a teenager. And little wonder - he is her first love after all and hopefully only love. His question that he says next causes her to gasp and blush deeply. She laughs awkwardly and looks at nothing particular on his wall. "Well, you know ... more ... um ... intimate things?" Her voice is awkward and clearly embarrassed. "I know, it's too soon ... but that b*****d wants to make me rush everything or just screw with my head so don't pay it any mind. I'm sorry if I said anything stupid or wrong ... Though that said ... I wasn't exactly fighting him on this ... maybe I kind of wanted that excuse" She glances at him out of the corner of her eye and sighs, "I probably shouldn't have said anything. You probably think really poorly of me right now."
XXXXX After Tanji's question, Tora looks really embarrassed and mumbles out a non-answer before working herself into a downward spiral of self loathing, assuming Tanji thinks poorly of her just because she let her zanpakutou spirit manipulate her. In reality the only thing Tanji even remotely disliked about her was that pessimistic self loathing, and in an attempt to make that clear to her Tanji flash steps across the room and lifts her up into another hug before giving her another passionate kiss (during which he can almost feel Hanaki facepalming). After which he sets her back down on the couch and says "Tora I don't think poorly about you at all, and besides I doubt I would have complained if we had gotten to "more intimate things"." before suddenly facepalming and speaking in a completely different voice "I swear if you both are still gun ho about giving into your hormones after I tossed you two off of each other and into the walls on opposite sides of the room, Then at least find a place where you won't be caught. The division HQ is full of people and the walls aren't the least bit sound proof." Then Tanji coughs a bit before returning to his regular voice and saying "Damn it Hanaki. How many times do I have to tell you that my vocal cords hurt when you force them to do your voice before you stop doing it?"

She gasps in surprise as he flash steps over to her and then she wraps her arms around him as he kisses her once more. There is a disappointed look on her face when he sets her down on the couch, but she listens to him. His words of encouragement warm her heart and make her blush more since he also was stating that he was willing to go much further. "I-" before she can speak another voice speaks through him. She furrows her brow as it complains about them being like hormone addled teenagers and then her eyes widen at the statement about thin walls and everybody hearing them. By this point her face flushes intensely red before she shifts entirely into cat form. "Oh my ..." she says as she covers her face with her paws from within the now extremely loose yukata. "Oh my gosh ..." before she can say anything else, the next thing that exits her lips is Shinku Kirisame's own voice, slightly lower than her normal speaking voice and sing song as is its manner of speaking normally. "Oh~ You are quite meddlesome, sentient tree~, I certainly did not anticipate that~" She growls slightly as she forces it back. "Shut up, Shinku Kirisame! You do not need to be an a** every single time." She looks up at Tanji and sighs, "Alright, so, since they do not wish to play nicely, I might need to learn how to control Shinku better, while we try to find a better way to deal with our feelings for each other without getting tossed like rag dolls."
XXXXX Tora's seems to cheer up a bit from Tanji's display of affection and words of encouragement, but Hanaki's words cause her to collapse into a ball of embarrassment, and mutter a bit before getting cut off by her zanpakutou spirit hijacking her vocal cords. "Great hers can do that too and it already has a grudge against you Hanaki." Tanji thinks as he listens to Shinku's voice as it comes out of Tora's mouth. Tora then regains control, and berates Shinku before saying "Alright, so, since they do not wish to play nicely, I might need to learn how to control Shinku better, while we try to find a better way to deal with our feelings for each other without getting tossed like rag dolls.""Well materializing both of them and using letting them fight out their grievances as a distraction to deal with our feelings without interruption is an option we could consider." Tanji jokingly responds, knowing that letting their zanpakutou spirits fight unsupervised would only end with both he and Tora needing a trip to the fourth division.

Tora actually starts laughing at Tanji's joke. "Well, while it would be satisfying to let Shinku Kirisame get his comeuppance ... I don't think it works that way." She smiles as much as she can manage in her feline form. Looking over at Hanaki in the umbrella stand. "At least you can put physical distance. This idiot fused physically with me." She shows her metal fangs and claws and then glances wistfully back at her yukata. "This is certainly awkward. So where do we go from here?"
XXXXX After laughing at his joke and going on a bit of a tangent, (which includes showing off how her zanpakutou is part of her body), Tora asks where they should go from here. "Hmm... Considering how exhausted you must still be and how I should get to work on the case of Ellarose's attacker sooner rather then later, you probably aut to lay down and get some rest. So, I guess you could sleep on my couch while I get started, or I could walk you home, tuck you into your own bed, and wait to get to work on the case till I get back." Tanji replies with as he casually walks over to the door to his office, slips his hat back on ("accidentally" leaving Hanaki in the umbrella holder despite how he intends to walk Tora home as an excuse to procrastinate working and how Hanaki would defiantly object to being left alone in his office), opens the door, grabs the package the intern left earlier, and gently tosses it onto his desk before gesturing out the door as if she had already chosen the option where he walks her home with a smile on his face.

Tora giggles as she catches his drift and climbs back into her outfit and shifts back into a more human form, keeping her cat ears and tail. This is partially as a joke and partially to see how he reacts. Not to mention she does not entirely have full control of it yet. As she walks past Hanaki she waves at him and shrugs. "Maybe we can make friends later?" she says and follows after Tanji. "Yes, please walk me home. This place is entirely too busy day and night to get a decent night's sleep. Maybe we can talk a bit ... catch a bite? I never got to eat my dinner earlier. I believe there's something good to eat at my place." She straightens up her yukata once more before they leave the office. "I live in the tall apartment building on West Seireitei 9th Way. It's close to the shopping district."
XXXXX Tora, having shifted back to her human form, seems to catch on to his plan to leave Hanaki behind while he walks her home, and plays right into Tanji's intentions by inviting Tanji to a dinner at her home so they have an excuse to spend as much time as they want together before Tanji comes back to his office. "Now that you mention it some food sounds good right now, and I'd love to have some dinner with you, so it's a date." Tanji says as she straightens up her yukata. Then, after she tells him where she lives, Tanji barley resists his urge to scoop her up in his arms and pet her like had when carrying her to his office while she was in cat form by just giving her a few pets for now as they start walking off towards the exit to the division HQ.

XXXXX Tanji quickly sneaks into his office so that none of the gossipy interns see him without a shirt on, and changes into one of the spare sets of clothes he has in his office. the whole time Tanji is expecting Hanaki to start scolding him, but instead Tanji is able to get changed, grab both the medical records and the package one of the interns delivered yesterday, and even slip his zanpakutou into his waistband, all without a peep from Hanaki. "I wonder how long this silent treatment will go on for." Tanji briefly wonders as he exit's his office and starts making his way to the soul society's graveyard.
