He peeled the seaweed slowly from his face, turned to look at Claude, and tried to maintain as much dignity as he could as he said delicately,

Claude grinned at him, and then blew him a kiss. She leaned back on her hands, feeling pretty good at the moment. "Point."

He just flipped Claude the bird.

At some point Claude pulled her phone out and snapped a picture of Chance flipping her off, again. "Is that your IQ or your sperm count?" She asked pleasantly enough, another smirk tugging at the corners of her lips as she angled her phone to take a picture of the sand castle. Complete with her beautiful flag.

Good thing he was way more mature than Claude.

She knew who the real adult was here.

And it wasn't the 23 year old. It was the 21 year old.

Chance just resolutely went back to his sandcastle without deigning to give her a response thank you very much Claude.

He didn't say 'yes', but he didn't say 'no' either.

She placed her phone on her lap and then watched with a lidded gaze as he went back to the sandcastle.

"What are you going to add now?"

"Nothing," Chance answered, absently patting the side of the castle before looking at it with satisfaction. "I think I'm pretty much done, actually."

Claude looked at the castle quietly for a moment. "Have you ever seen sand castle building competitions?" She asked after a moment. "People can building some amazing things from sand in a few hours."

"I didn't even know that was an actual thing," said Chance, eyebrows raised. "People actually make a competition out of these things?"
