Gael Post 3
After failing to find his siblings from his place on the bench Gael stands and stretches. As far as he was concerned the talk of helping another tribe was useless. He wanted nothing to do with it. Deciding to move on, getting away from all the Obans, Gael gives a yawn and simply walks through the crowd.

Cerith: Post 3 Despite her harsh treatment of him, at the hints of a brain freeze Cerith paused and watched him, almost in concern, though she shrugged it away as soon as he settled once again - it was simply a headache, not poison, she scolded herself. No need to be a brooding hen with her brother's safety. It was when he spoke that Cerith raised her brows, considering his points quietly.
"While fighting in number is the better option, strategically, the truth is going to battle together would be more of a distraction than anything." She concluded, agreeing with his words. The Matori would be watching the Obans, expecting to be stabbed in the back (and they might very well be, Cerith had to admit).
And then, out of the blue, Jelanii's attention was distracted and he was flailing, wildly, for someone-- ah. Ilian. Cerith sighed, taking another bite of her shaved ice, more to feign having her mouth full, unable to immediately answer, when he came over. Sure enough, he was all for this - then again, he was a Shifter, and as such Cerith considered his opinion biased. She also felt vaguely annoyed by his presence - not because of Ilian personally, but because of the affect he seemed to have on Jelanii. Even so, she pushed that away, finishing her bite and finally giving the Shifter her attention, a smile on her face that was genuine -especially because his words rang true with her, even if her own case was slightly different. "Well, fighting, of course - although I'd worry that my dear brother would have some trouble attacking the correct enemies." A soft jab at his pride, complete with a quirk of her lips and a somewhat fond, affectionate look cast his way.
Until, of course, a group of people came to talk with Ilian. Immediately Cerith's expression shuttered and she stepped back, putting herself partly between Jelanii and the group of Obans. She didn't know what sort of conversation Ilian had had, but they seemed rather eager to fight and start off on a good foot in their alliances with the north. Good for them, Cerith thought with a roll of her eyes and a sarcastic cloud of thoughts, even if they were reaffirming what she and Jelanii had decided.

Shalvesta: Post 3 What a... strange reaction. Shalvesta narrowed her eyes and looked him over, wandering what had him so startled - but after a moment she saw the familiarity in his posture. He was deflecting - she had done it often enough when she angered her husband. It was strange being on the other end of it. In response, Shalvesta took a step back from him and slowly lowered her hands from their raised position, canting her head at the Matori man's words. "That's not necessary, this street is as much yours as mine, now." She said, a quiet reminder. She had never had much opportunity to speak with Matori, and had never given them much thought.
Just as she said this, she looked up, hearing the loud proclamations of the Oban man about fighting - not hearing the conversation around Ilian, of those who wanted to atone for what their families had done in Jauhar. "It's crazy to think we'll be at war again, soon. I don't know what to think of it, myself - and I don't imagine your people will be too keen on leaving your homeland after just regaining it." Shalvesta said, almost to herself, though the words clearly addressed the man infront of her. Her eyes were on the man from the crowd for a long moment, but eventually turned back to Tera, unaware that she was depriving him of the ability to steal away quietly.

Jelanii Post 3 A smile spread across Jelanii's face as soon as Illian came over. Spending time with his sister, talk about actually fighting for something, and now Illian's arrival, he felt like it was a near perfect day. He nodded at Illian's statement of going to fight and why. Of course Illian had noble and good reasons for wanting to fight. It made his own seem selfish, but that was fine with him too. If wanting to protect his people was selfish then so be it. "I agree with the fighting, but not the part with doing it with Obans at our backs. I rather not have an enemy in front of me and an enemy beside me."And of course as if the gods were displeased that Jelanii was having a good day for once, a group of Obans came to join them, obviously following after Illian. He couldn't totally blame them. Illian was the sort to stand out, but that still didn't make them welcomed. It didn't help that Cerith's immediately on guard, her pleasant expression closing off. She stepped in front of him as if trying to protect him., but Jelanii didn't want protecting. He narrowed his eyes. Reaching out he gave Cerith's shoulder a reassuring squeeze before stepping forward. He gripped his staff tightly. He scoffed. "Make amends? What a bunch of Janarim crap. Look at the lot of you. You say you want to make amends for your families wrongs. Weren't you part of those family members doing the wrong? You speak as if you weren't involved in it." Jelanii spoke up loudly, making sure the crowd heard him. "And these are the so-called people we are supposed to have fighting at our side. People who can't take responsibility for their actions. People..." He leaned in close, his words cutting. "That are more likely to knife us in the night if it would benefit them."He shook his head. "Fight, I agree, but we can fight without the Obans. It's around time Matorian's rose up as their own force instead of always in connection with the Obans. We are no longer their slaves that we need to shackle ourselves to them." Suhuba Quoting you since Jelanii is speaking to the Oban NPCs

Scarlett Arbuckle Shaka has stopped scowling by the tent sides to come and chat since he apparently can't avoid obans that way. Mynshaka Post 4

He rolled his eyes at her retort as she walked a way. "Brats a brat." He muttered to himself as he looked away. Why had she even tried to talk to him? Apparently trying to be sullen was not working on getting Obans to leave him alone....
He brightened up when he spotted a familiar face; apparently the fancy lady Cerith had gotten a bit stronger since he'd last seen her.. and found friends. Ehh what ever, better to go talk to people than risk being bothered by obans again, he thought as he shouldered his way through the crowd.
He tossed an arm about her shoulders as he snuck up on her; "Hey there fancy lady.. ye look like yer buds just kicked ye out of a conversation." He offered her a grin; she looked a bit put off. Wonder if that water boy's hers? He did eye the shifter openly; he hadn't seen one yet... They looked rather oban like but not as fiery. They need frill ears, those long pointed ones look weird, he thought to himself.

Tera Post 3Tera blinked a couple times as she declared that the street was as much his as it was hers and to be honest it was a claim that caught him off guard. She seemed to be kind of nice, didn't she? A thought that had the voice instantly saying that Obans weren't nice, not on their own, it had taken a war to force them to be nice. It was because they'd lost that she was acting in a nice manner. It was something that hand Tera lifting a hand to rub it for a moment against his temples as though to soothe the angry voice before he turned to look at the woman who was still seemingly chatting with him. "I... would think that nobody really wants to go to war. Not just those from my tribe but surely yours as well?" He supposed that he could be wrong though. The Obans had taken the the Matori as slaves, had gone to war against those in the North, so maybe they were actually fans of war? He couldn't say that he really knew enough about them as a whole to really guess what it was that they might do for fun. That might not be fair actually, it didn't sound as though there were all in favor of going to war after all. It likely depended on the individual. Turning to look over at the woman again he shifted in place, clasping his hands behind his back, before glancing for a moment back in the way he'd come from. He wouldn't fight unless Kyruie decided that he wanted to fight. Why would he though? It would be silly for him to wander off when he was supposed to be getting married after all... a thought that was instantly quashed though. He didn't want to think about that right now though. He'd rather talk to Kyruie about it first, to see if the marriage thing was true or if it was just rumors.

He nodded -- something in his gut also told him that the Alkidikes were being unreasonable, even if he knew very little of the matter. There was just something about the way this whole thing had come about, abrupt and without any aggression on Sauti's part.
But he was a drummer! Not a ruler, and certainly not a military commander.
"Well, not all radicals are wrong." He shrugged at first. Water tribesmen who wanted freedom would have been considered radicals just a short while ago, no doubt. "But this thing is just... beyond my ken. I guess I'm glad the decision's not up to me. I can't make heads or tails of it!"
He looked up to listen to the sentiment of the crowd and the leaders. It seemed as if people were willing to go to war. "I suppose if they don't force anyone to fight, that would be fair. Would you go, yourself?"

Nuawahn (Post 2) Nuawahn flinched at the idea of war. War? No. Nuawahn didn't like war. Nuawahn didn't want war. He wanted war to go away and stay away because it was scary and bad.
”Arijah!” he called out, the Wind Tribesman growing more panicked with every moment that he failed to find her. ”Arijaaaah... Oof!” His many trinkets jangled as he fell to the ground suddenly. He hadn't been looking where he was running and had run into someone – a Matori, to his great relief, a man little younger than him with such pretty eyes.
”Sorry!” Nuawahn said, giving Gael an apologetic smile, ”I'm looking for my friend.” which was very specific, because Nuawahn was sure he only had one friend in this scary place... but the man wasn't Oban so maybe that could be fixed. ”Do you want to be my friend, too?”

SRIINA POST 4
Sriina rolled her eyes. It was obvious that there was not any use arguing with the girl. Either she would realize her mistake or she wouldn't but it was not for Sriina to try to hold her hand to get to the facts and the sense of the situation.
A large Matorian threw in his agreement of her position and she had to at least be thankful she wasn't completely surrounded by fools.
Waving her hand as if to dismiss the woman she turned her attention back to the stage. If the decision was to head out to war, then Sriina had to think long and hard about whether it was even worth it for her to follow along.

Eleina - Post Three"Sprit walker. I hope to be a Shaman one day. Prove that us hybrids are just as powerful and capable." she said with a laugh. She would prove it to her cousin and all those that had turned her down.
She nodded. "Yes. I wonder which he rather. Another war so soon, or to stay out of it. Both options have their benefits really. I do think that going to war and helping is the much better choice though."
She wondered what would happen to her ice man if she went to war. Could she leave him in the brothel, make sure that her friends looked out for him? Or would taking him home be the better option. That way her mother could watch over him. She wasn't sure, but it was better to know what was going on before deciding what to do with him.

Solari - Post #3Solari still didn`t agree with the other girl, she still didn`t want to go to war. Though perhaps that was her lazy side talking. The other girl seemed to have had enough and didn`t even bother replying so nether would she. Instead, she turned to the large Matori who had approached and agreed with them. Well then. Solari cast the other girl a look. “In the end, I don’t think it’s much up to us. The crowd seems to be leaning one way and people will follow the masses sadly.” Which really sucked, it meant she would have to go in the end even if she didn’t want to.
“I wonder if we’ll be able to opt out of this.”

Sanele Post 3

"Maybe a radical may be on the right side a few times.. but you gotta admit their actions tend to push people away rather than garner support most of the times." As one who'd grown up in poverty she had never understood the need of the nobles for more land, for slaves, for all the things.. she had just wanted enough food and clothes for her family to be more comfortable.
She smirked at his reaction; "Well... it kinda is up to you .... If you are loud enough and vocal enough I think you could try and sway the crowd to help or not! That's why this thing is being held I guess! As for me leaving...ummmm" She thought about it. She had a job here; there were races to train for, Xaraan to train, breed, and her own learning to do. But... she did want to go to Sauti and catch their animals. But I have no clue on how to do that right now...
"I am still in training. I want to; that land is one where I want to go and try my hand at beast taming but.. I've barely begun my training here! What about you? You've the look of an entertainer more than a warrior." She said a bit bluntly; he didn't look all that dangerous.

Karothdra - Post #4“Good choice.” Admittedly, Karothdra didn’t know much about classes that utilized magic but shamans were healers right? And healers were a good thing so a good class all-around. The only thing Karo cared about when it came down to it was how could one fought, background and race had nothing to do with skills. Race didn’t matter when you were on the ground bleeding. Most Oban’s were against mixing, Karothdra didn’t really care. “Give it time and practice, lots of practice and you can be as strong as anyone. No one can hold you back.” Not even family, Karothdra wanted to add but didn’t.
“Since I am now part of the army, I’ll follow orders none the less. I think the crowd is leaning towards helping though.”

Eleina - Post FourShe nodded. "Yes, that's my plan. My mother is the pure one in my family, and that side of the family didn't think I'd ever be anything. So proving them wrong will be especially pleasing." she chuckled.
"Oh congrats." she said as she placed a hand on the other girls shoulder. "How does that work? If I want to help does that mean I have to join the army as well? Or because it's only a temporary thing I don't need too?" although being in the army would be interesting at the very least, she didn't want to do it for the rest of her life.

Nuri Post 4
Nuri felt his smile fall as Saraf spoke up, talking about space and the impact of fights on his career. Warning bells went off in his head as he watched Saraf turn away and go off, and he made a mental note of chasing him down and having a talk before anything stuck and he caused another extended silence between one of his friends.
Apparently Saraf really did assume the worst between him and Aseara. That wasn't too much of a surprise, as Nuri did notice some of the opinions of his friend and the 'savages' of the lands. If only he had a chance to explain how Aseara was different, how she seemed to adapt to the culture here, but alas he was gone in the crowd, and Nuri was alone with the Wind girl once more.
Speaking of which, he turned and tried to sooth her as well "Oh, Saraf isn't one to be angry, or one to be forced anywhere. I'm sure he had some reason of his own to walk off, possibly saw someone or something he wanted to do."
And if anything, it was him that caused Saraf to leave. Swallowing, he decide to switch the conversation, "I am glad you found me...but it's a shame that we had to meet during this...debate, normally the festival isn't this...tense."
As he looked around, he held his frown seeing all of the people arguing over the idea to go to war, once again wishing that they'd just leave the decision to the Army and the King, and let the festival continue into the night as it normally went.
