Mont Blonc is in B4 with Leucite and Oberon!

Mont Blonc glanced down at the young senshi, badly wanting to hang back and offer him a hand. But Captain Cackles over there was already up and begging for more, and he didn't really want the captain coming back and trying to bodyslam the kid again. Maybe a distraction? Yeah, get his attention; try not to be stupid about it like the last time.

He ran at him and feigned as though he were going to try and come at him from the side - and then dashed away again. Follow the birdie, come on! - granted he was sort of banking on being able to out manuver the guy somewhere along the way. (It was a plan in motion, cut him some slack!)

Ganymede is in D4 with Valhalla, Benitoite, Cinnabar, Amphitrite, and Umber! Calling for backup!

Ganymede was prepared to witness the effects of her attack as usual; she'd grown used to the screaming over the years and knew she'd be able to handle this General writhing in pain. She even looked forward to it. What she was not expecting was for the General to open a portal and call out five youma, only to eat one of them.

It was revolting. If Ganymede wasn't suddenly struck on the head from behind, she might have been sick.

Instead, she fell to her knees as her vision swam. She brought a hand to the back of her head. A lump would soon be forming, but when she pulled her hand away she was glad to see that there was no trace of blood on her fingertips. Glancing over her shoulder momentarily, Ganymede saw her attacker to be none other than Amphitrite.

That hurt. More than the bump to the back of her head, it hurt in her gut. It hurt like seeing Cyllene hurt, but this was a fresher wound. Cyllene she had grown to accept, whether or not Ganymede had given up on her—she hadn't. Amphitrite was new. They'd had the chance to save her, if only someone had known...

But the youma... she had to focus on the youma...

“Val!” she called. “Youma on the field!”

From her position on the ground, Ganymede swung out with one leg with the intention of tripping Amphitrite and bringing her down. She'd deal with the guilt she felt later. Right now she was in trouble, and she needed to focus on surviving. She had the General to contend with and a Corrupted Senshi, and now a Captain was on the scene.

A LITTLE HELP OVER HERE!” she called to anyone who might hear her.

Hvergelmir is at the edge of the display garden in B3, watching like a creeper and trying to spy Laurelite. Anyone is free to engage, if you wish -- though she will not take any aggressive action unless she's physically attacked~

Hvergelmir was used to the way parks looked at night -- the way streetlamps cast flourescent yellow through the trees, dappling things in eerie tangerines and deep purples. The display garden she was passing through had that same look, ghostly and humid-warm. Flower petals and prickly leaves snagged at her arms as she hurried past; the rose arbor was briefly in bloom.

She could smell it everywhere. How fiercely roses bloomed, and how quickly they withered on the vine.

There's a General-Queen.

The Squire who'd sent the call wasn't wrong. Hvergelmir could feel that much -- no doubt they all could. Even in such a tangled, confusing mess of auric radiance, she could feel the leaden weight of what she could only assume was a General-Sovereign's chthonic aura all around them. No doubt everyone here could feel it.

Knight or no, Hvergelmir was no use here, she supposed. She'd come to see -- to learn -- especially with the news that a General-Queen had put in some kind of a personal appearance -- but there was little she could do to help her comrades who'd shown up, much less the one who'd called for help. She'd sworn a binding oath, after all.

Hvergelmir stood at the edge of the display garden, raised up on a little stone lip, the blossoming rose arbor at her back. She called her distaff to one hand, and unhooked the spindle to wind it loosely down to where she could hold it between her fingers.

Here, with a good vantage point, she stood and watched: trying to figure out what was going on. Trying to spot the elusive General-Queen, wherever she might be. Inhaling a hundred roses, all withering on the vine.

Harmonia jumped backwards again when her attack was blocked. She watched him carefully as he moved back in place to block her path. "General queen..." Her eyes widened. She personally and thankfully had never run into someone of such a high rank on Chaos's side but she knew the term. Knew that a person of that power level was not someone she herself could take on alone. But...still I can do something right? Maybe help someone who can possibly fight her?

"The way you say that it's like you expect me to just run away. Unlike what you'd probably do I want to help. Even if it's dangerous to me."

Resolved to the fight Harmonia rushed forward again to attack. Instead of going for a punch though she dropped down at the last second and swung her leg out in an arch in an attempt to trip up the Nega. Getting him off balance was her goal. Hell, getting him to the ground would be better but off balance would be enough.

Not stopping her movement she rose to her feet all the while punching towards her target's gut.

Valhalla is in D4 with Ganymede, Benitoite, Amphitrite, Cinnabar, and Umber.

So it was Laurelite. Upon hearing her name, Valhalla froze from trying to struggle out from underneath Benitoite, looking up at him with a frown. "I refuse to abandon someone asking for help. I won't run away," he hissed, making to shove the general off of him. He knew the general was trying to help, but he should know by now that Valhalla was not as concerned with protecting himself as he probably should be.

He looked up as he heard Ganymede call to him, concerned about the appearance of the youma, but more so that Ganymede had been brought to her knees from what looked like an attack from Amphitrite.

"Get off!!" he growled, shoving Benitoite again and rolling out from under him, before climbing back to his feet. "I'm sorry, but I just can't leave someone to Laurelite." He felt guilty for being so rough, but he needed to get to Ganymede.

"Kyrie! The youma!" he called to the thunder bird as she circled the area. She let out another cry as lightning dropped to the Earth's surface, zapping one of the youma before she swooped down to Valhalla, returning to her place inside the pocket watch. As helpful as she was, she couldn't last long in this world.

Gripping onto his compass, he readied himself to counter any movements towards himself or Ganymede, reaching her side shortly after she made to trip up Amphitrite. He grabbed hold of her upper arm to pull her back to her feet, but also so he could say in a rushed whisper. "It's Laurelite."

Hyperborea watched the senshi attack the Captain and the captain be forced back by the other knights. She was more than a little surprised, she had been ready to fight off the Captain herself but there was no need for that now. She was about to help look for Ploutonion's glasses when she saw a youma hound snarl before leaping at her.

Hyperborea had just enough time to summon her bow and use it to block the youma's snapping jaws. The youma had managed to pin her to ground and its claws were digging into her flesh as it tried to bit her. She managed to maneuver enough that she was able to kick the creature in its ribs which got it off of her.

She got to her feet quickly. She spotted a familiar face "Hvergelmir." She said absently. She was surprised to see pacifist knight on the battlefield. She shook her. Time and place, you can think about Hver once this is all over. she told herself.

She dodged the youma's attempt to leap at her again banishing her bow and activating her aspect. She would deal with this youma first and then see about getting Ploutonion as far away from here as possible.

(Aspect of Cosmos: The silvery sheen of starlight covers the Knights of the Cosmos, and their touch is just as heavenly. It's warm and pleasant to most, but acidic and painful to corrupted beings. For the followers of Chaos, physical contact with one of these Knights feels like a mild chemical burn: although it does little in the way of damage, it's hard to tolerate it.)

“I do expect you to run away,” Aquamarine said. “You're no help to anyone here. If anything, you're a hindrance. The General-Queen will have what she wants no matter what you do. Your efforts are worthless.”

Nothing he said seemed to shake her resolve. Fine then. He'd resign himself to fight, even if he'd been hoping to scare her off. He knew how this battle would end, in any case. He may not succeed in his fight against her, but General-Queen Laurelite would have the Squire. There was no one of a sufficient power level here to take her down.

Really, this battle was over before it even began.

Anticipating the Senshi's next move, Aquamarine jumped to avoid her leg, smirking when her fist came at him next. Aquamarine let it connect with his gut, but he pulled back enough to prevent the hit from knocking the breath out of him. He made to grab onto the Senshi's wrist to hold her in place while aiming for her head with his toy sword. It may not be a real blade, but even plastic could hurt with enough strength behind it.

Benitoite is in D4.

He hadn't wanted to move, should have held the damn knight in place till he agreed to run, but he allowed himself to be shoved off of him. Climbing to his feet, weapon in hand and at the ready, he hoped the two would forgive him for whatever he would do tonight.

Watching as one of the youma was killed he watched the other ones carefully. Should he summon a youma himself? Biting down on the inside of his cheek he focused for a moment as he summoned a youma as well, though it wasn't Bazzite and he knew he'd apologize to the other later on for not inviting him, but rather it was one which looked rather plant like, rather than bug like. It looked like a large closed flower bloom with the leaves right under the bloom acting as sort of legs. There were no visible eyes but the bloom opened and a shriek emitted from the plant like youma. The petals inside were lined with points teeth and the petals opened and closed a few times in a snapping motion.

"I do believe I'll allow a friend of mine out to play this evening." Looking fondly to the youma. "Now then, why don't you keep our two friends occupied." He wasn't looking to fight the two, let the youma do it for him. A glance to Umber and he nodded his head to him. "Good to see you Captain, here to join the fun?" A smile in place as he brushed his bangs from his face. "This really is getting crowded, and fast, and only two of the white moons people here..." They were so outnumbered why didn't they run away? Smart people would have run away by now, even if they would be perused it wouldn't be by everyone, they could make it easier on themselves by running. Stupid, self-sacrificing idiots! Both of them.

Chaldene moving from B6 to C6. Free to engage.

Moving along the cement path the senshi kept a look out for anyone headed his way. It seemed that no one was approaching him or would be coming out of the shadows to attack him, that was good. Toying with his piercings he continued on his way as he picked up his pace.

He needed to get to where he was needed, where he could help, and do so faster. Where was he needed though? He didn't know, he had no idea what was going on or why so many people were in the park, he just knew there were a lot of people gathered here and thus he needed to be here also. Pressing at the backing of one of his piercings he glanced about once more as he expected to see someone, anyone, with how many auras he felt and how strong some of them were.

As he got closer to the fountain he could hear fighting and that was when he broke into a run.

Athene and Liryn are in grid C4 and heading towards D4. Feel free to engage

Athene had managed to slip through the trees unimpeded, first the first set - a couple of trees close to where he had first entered - and then through a second set and onto paving.

He could see more trees to the left and to the right, spaced equidistant from each other, curving upwards round the paving...

And although the park was full of auras, he could sense a bunch of auras directly towards the right of where he was.

There were more auras coming from up ahead, but for the moment Athene turned his attention towards those coming from his direct right, because there appeared to be an awful lot of Chaos auras to two Order auras.

Not weak Order auras - one was a Knight aura and the second an Eternal - the Eternal's aura clear and distinctive in the way that Ida's aura was and a part of Athene wondered briefly if it was indeed his team mate's aura he was picking on.

Only briefly though, because amongst the Chaos auras he was picking up on he was picking up on those of a couple of Generals and a Captain and a corrupted and what felt to be several youma - unfair odds if ever there was one.

Then again from his experience the Negaverse wasn't exactly an organisation that believed in playing fair.

"Lets..." he started to his furry shoulder partner, intending to mention that they head towards the right and add in a comment that the small tabby mauvian bobtail stay a-shoulder.

Except he realised that he was talking to empty space as he caught sight of a small form darting right.

He followed after with a slight exasperated sound, a part of him wondering (not for the first time) how he had ended up with such a reckless cat because seriously, the self-proclaimed PSSG team cat was going to be the death of him one day.

----------------------------------------------------

Liryn had been sitting relatively patient a-shoulder on Athene's shoulder as the dark-haired eternal made his way through first one set of trees and then across a stretch of open space and between a second set of trees.

Or at least it had been relatively patient for him, his fur a-fluffing at the number of Chaos auras around until he resembled more of a small puff ball on Athene's shoulder instead of the mauvian that he really was.

He had been a little surprised that they hadn't come across any Nega-Officers directly, despite feeling so many of them around, but he was quite happy to let them have a taste of his claws if it would help the Squire whose voice had sounded so panicked when it came out of Athene's phone.

The Squire didn't have to worry though because Liryn was certain that the gathered Order auras that he could sense would help the Squire - would keep him safe and he would be right there beside them.

They were on paving, some of the auras feeling suddenly close both from up ahead and from over to the right.

In fact there was lots and lots of chaotic auras coming from the right, the auras a mixture of youma and Nega-officer, a couple of General-strength auras amongst them... And there were a couple of Order auras - one Eternal, the second a Knight.

He didn't need to think on it, jumping forward and down from Athene's shoulder before darting towards the two Order auras and by extension all the Chaos auras.

Umber is in D4 and attempting to approach D3.

Tell me you're not here to exchange pleasantries, Benitoite. The captain kept his biting sarcasm to himself, only to return the General's greeting with a suggestion. "General, if you would engage that knight," Umber pointed toward the one in purple, swinging some kind of compass, "then we might be able to fight our way to the target. There's no need to stay here. Amphitrite and Cinnabar can handle themselves." Umber tried to advance toward Ploutonion again, but that very force kept him at bay.

"Leave the squires to me." Certainly not a non-issue, but it seems one entertained herself with one of the youma already. He turned to the sole remaining youma to urge it toward the gathered party around Ploutonion. "You, attack the senshi next to the squire. Pull him away from the fight." That left the knight and squire, and anyone else who might want to come to Ploutonion's aid. Something needed to give - their forces required redistribution if any of them wanted to secure the declared target.

Ploutonion, I hope your corruption is utterly painful.

"General," he muttered under his breath. "If it behooves you to follow orders..." Must he act so ineffectually? Was this behavior supported in the Negaverse, or had those in charge of evaluations skipped over him? Perhaps Schörl would know. It wouldn't matter at the moment regardless; he couldn't simply order around his superiors, no matter their uselessness on the battlefield. There might be some clever motive behind his movements, surely, but Umber doubted it.

In hopes that the general would back him up, Umber tested the barrier's efficacy in trying for the squire in red (Glitnir). If it held, then he would circle until he could strike.

General Cinnabar is in D4, attacking Ganymede

The massive bird’s retreat was the signal Cinnabar needed and without warning, she sprang forward towards the senshi and her knight. She was proud of Amphitrite for getting a blow in, though her decision to take on two third level enemies was reckless in the extreme. If they turned on her together, she wouldn’t stand a chance.

There was a moment to decide which target to go for, but it didn’t take much to make it. Leaving Valhalla to Benitoite for now, Cinnabar rushed pair and aimed for Ganymede, swinging at her with her claws unsheathed in the hopes of breaking the two apart.

“Why does it matter who’s here, Blondie? Do you want to beg her for your life?” She taunted her with a laugh. Did these two know how to fight properly? What sort of skills would she be seeing from them? Would they think to work together, or each take on an opponent? It was hard to say. They were obviously together, and just as obviously, Amphitrite’s presence was throwing them off. Could she use that, or would it only serve to alienate her to the corrupt?

No. Amphitrite was one of their own. She deserved the respect to be allowed to fight beside her.

Something large and leafy blundered into their space and Cinnabar danced to escape it and give it free go at the enemy. A youma Benitoite had called? At least he was getting into it now. The General took another swing at the senshi, trying to draw her attention as she got up close and personal with her.

Jet is in B6 with Namaka!

Jet’s eyes narrowed on the girl and he clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth. It was a shame she wasn’t as stupid as she looked. Some of these senshi had at least some wit about them, even if it wouldn’t be enough to save them in the long run.

What he wasn’t expecting though, was for her to suddenly hit him. And not just hit him, but her punch was hard and rough and he was pretty sure she managed to leave a nasty scrape across his jaw. “What the hell was that?!” he yelped, stumbling back, his eyes wild with rage.

Gripping tightly to his knives, he lunged forward to attack the girl. If she was going to be throwing punches, he was going to be fighting right back. “You’re right, I’m not going to protect you,” he admitted with a laugh. “I’m surprised! Most of you are so naive, so ready to make peace with your enemies. But don’t worry. I’ll make sure no one will have to worry about protecting you, once I’m finished,” he told her, swiping with the blade of his plastic knife up at her, not caring where he hit her as long as he could make her bleed.

Oberon is in B4 with Leucite and Mont Blonc!

Oberon scrambled to get back to his feet once he was sure the Captain was feeling the affects of his magic. Good. Maybe now he would start making some stupid mistakes. Already he could see how this older Negaverse officer was showing off his ‘skills’ to them.

“With pleasure,” he hissed, sparing a glance towards the knight as he moved forward as well. Distraction or not, Oberon was ready for some payback for being tackled, and he lept up, aiming to kick the Captain. Hopefully with enough momentum he could bring the officer to the ground. See how he liked it.

Perhaps Laurelite felt the imbalance in power signatures - there was certainly more Order present than Chaos on the field. Perhpas Cinnabar's initiative inspired her.

Either way, whatever brought the idea about, the outcome was the same - from the edges of the battlefield, there was an outpouring of twisted, chaotic monsters. Nearly a dozen youma, gleefully descending upon the Order fighters in the park!
