Seemed like the meeting was over and trainees were supposed to seek out the veteran hunters for mentoring. Kyle observed, quietly counting the number of people who had approached Jordan, Otto and Peyton in order to facilitate his decision of who he should approach. The numbers seemed pretty even so far which pretty much meant that he could go with whoever he wanted so he decided to approach Jordan whom he remembered was one of the presenters during the orientation that was organised for new trainees.

"If you're not opposed to taking on one more, I'm Kyle."

Kimberly's eyes narrowed at the 'a*****e newbie' comment and she grit her teeth. "Maybe people wouldn't be assholes to you if you weren't one to them!" She hissed between her teeth, fists clenching at her sides.

What the hell is wrong with him?

I think it would be a correct thought to say.. you?

"The hell Chinthliss I am a nice person!" She yelped, comment of course directed to her whip, not that anyone else would notice.

Yes, nice.. compared to a .. say viper or scorpion.. bear with a toothache..

Kimberly's left eye started to twitch at what Chinthliss was suggesting and she seemed, if anything to get darker and more angry. Really what the hell was wrong with people if they couldn't tell she was a nice person. They were all jerks. This was why she hated people.

"You are the a*****e!" she snapped turning on Otto, hands fisting tighter. "I don't care who the hell your last Kimberly was, she probably had the right idea if she was the one that left you, it seems like you can't help but be a jackass to anyone that gets close to you! If you think your words mean that I am going to decide that you are not going to be the one to train me than you are dead wrong!"

She was panting after the outburst but seemed a bit more calm. Like the yelling was what she needed to be a normal human. In fact she reached in her pocket and pulled out her pack of gum actually offering a piece to Otto... what a weird girl.

<> Tenya giggled.

Otto watched her outburst with an impatient look, even checking the time on his cellphone.

"Well, get used to it then, if you ain't gunna choose a different trainor, then you get to deal with an a*****e like me." He replied easily, stuffing his phone back in his pocket. "Thems the breaks."

Steal

Jordan accepted Chance's handshake, nodding. "I remember seeing your name. That's fine with me." He nodded to Kyle as well. "What I've just asked Ana applies to both of you as well - I'd like to either watch you spar or spar you to get a sense of your style and how you work with your weapon. I'd also like to know what you're all currently doing for physical training and training with your weapon."

He turned an inquiring look on Chance as Ana offered to fight him, leaving the decision up to the other trainee.

"Ana." She replied.

Chance was in for one heck of a good time.

Kyle flashed a smile when Jordan nodded to indicate that he was in. He was already looking forward to seeing what this arrangement would lead to. It seemed from Chance's words that Ana was going to spar against him so he supposed that that probably left him with Jordan then.

"Guess I'll go with you for the spar?" He asked. Nothing like jumping into the deep end of the pool to get one's feet wet. No pain no gain after all. The full hunter would probably wipe the floor with him but he would work around it somehow.

He started to look a little sheepish when questioned on how he was going about his training so far. "I've been working with the training dummies on and off. That's about it..." It wasn't much but at least it was a start?

"It's a good idea to get into the habit of working out, even something informal like a morning jog," Jordan suggested. He nodded to Chance. "It can throw you off a little when your weapon changes, but it's a sign of a developing bond. You'll get used to it."

He gave Kyle a friendly, neutral smile. "Don't worry. I won't flatten you. It'd be counterproductive, since I want to see what you can do."

Then he held his right hand up to show them the heavy ring with its red stone. "This is Ferros, my weapon. He's an iron dragon and a heavy warhammer. Mind introducing me to your partners?"

"It's nice to meet you, Chance." She pulled a pen off of her belt, and clicked it several times to show it's multi-color functions, as though this was important. Which it was, for her. The practicality of her totem pleased her.

"This is Naia. She was a snake once. Now she is a pen. And also guns, when I summon her. She has informed me that she wishes to let you know she is disgusted with how I have described her, and that I should apologize."

She did not apologize.

The pen was put away, and Ana stared at the man blankly, for several seconds, before her eyes glimmered with understanding.

"Oh. That was a joke. Because ice is cool." Her lips twitched in a faint smile. "I get it. Very funny."
