She stuck out her tongue at him. She had no idea how he could have been in worse situations than this, but it wasn't something she didn't want to know either. Fi was too busy hoping he actually saw a light in the distance. "Do you see anything yet?" She squeaked, shuffling her feet along behind him.

He grinned at her sticking her tongue out before focusing on the bit of light ahead. The male nodded. "Yeah, I do. We're almost there." He could see it now. The branch they were on extended to about where the rest of the tree ended before breaking off into smaller sections to make up more areas of foliage. But there also was a gap in the leaves, perhaps pruned by other faun doing the same thing or just naturally bare in that area. "It's perfect for sitting, and I think it'll be a great viewpoint for stars."

"Oh good, it's kinda dark back here." Fi kept her eyes forward, looking to the faint light they could see ahead of them. It wasn't until they reached the break in the trees that she looked around. It was actually kinda bright out there. Really nice for a picnic, just the two of them. And it looked like they'd have a great view of everything around them. Even if they were dangling way up high in the air without anything to support them.

OOC: not gonna lie. Totally forgot she had a picnic basket with her LOL
BIC: He couldn't agree more. But as the leaves fell away to reveal the night sky above, it was completely worth it. "...Wow..." Kaiden breathed, slowly stopping to simply stand there with Fi, his hand still in hers. "It's..." His silver eyes flicked down from the sky to the green haired faunness. "Beautiful. Second most breath taking thing here."

She paused, almost running into Kaiden. She'd entirely forgotten to look up and had been watching her own feet the last few minutes. Her eyes darted up, an apology on her lips that was lost at the sight of the stars above them.
"Second? Whats the first?" She squeaked, only barely taking her eyes off their surroundings to look at him.

He dropped her hand to instead wrap his arm around her waist with a blush. "...You." The male spoke softly, opening his heart. It wasn't like him to be so...romantic like. But there was just something about Fi. Something he couldn't place that was different. He wanted to make her smile and blush, like she did for him.

Fi blushed, nuzzling into his chest fur. It was so soft, and a really good place to hide her blush. "I think you're wrong. This is the best view, right here." She teased, looking up at him. Well, she tried, her antlers got a little tangled with a stray branch, pulling her head back as a gust of wind blew it away.

He wouldn't try contesting that, as they were both right respectively in their own minds. Rather, he leaned down to kiss her, right before her head was yanked back from the wind. The male laughed. "Lets sit down and break out that basket." Sitting would bring their heads away from the other branches, make them more stable up on the tree, and let them get a little more comfortable.
He wouldn't mind getting a bit more comfortable.

Fi would have happily kissed him, if her head hadn't been yanked away. She blushed, reaching up to rub the base of one of her antlers. They may have been small, but they were pretty snug in there and hurt like none other when someone tried to yank on them.
"Far away from the mean branches." She agreed, mostly because she would get to snuggle up to Kai without fear of getting caught in anything. Except maybe his antlers and fur. Fi blushed at the thought, moving a little closer to a good sitting area. Just a little at a time. It wasn't dark anymore, but they were still really really high up in the air.
With a squeak, the orange femme set the basket down. She shook her head and pulled out a worn but soft green blanket. It looked like something passed down through generations until she'd gotten her hands on it, timeless yet pristine. The story of how she managed to get her hands on it was something she'd forgotten long ago, but the blanket still felt like a friend. She spread it out and looked up at Kai, still smiling about the blanket. "Ready?"

Couldn't agree more. He slowly sat down as well, careful despite the girth of the branch. Couldn't be too careful with them so high up, one slip and...
a thought he wouldn't dwell on. Kaiden smiled as she brought out the blanket. "If that blanket could talk, I would've like to hear it's story." With how worn it was, it probably saw a lot. "And very ready, yes." More than ready to relax up under the stars with her.

She grinned, sitting almost in his lap. "I don't remember how I got this blanket, but it's always been there for me. Since I moved here." That's right, she didn't always live here. Once she'd lived on a beach, where she'd surfed all the time. Whatever surfing was. "It's so pretty tonight..." Her brown eyes had turned upwards, looking at the stars. It looked like they were shining just for the two of them. How much more perfect could she ask for?

"You didn't always live in the tree?" He spoke as he wrapped his arms around her. "And what are you doing so far away..." With a little grunt he up and lifted her up into his lap fully. "Now I can enjoy the view." Because he could see both her and the sky at once.

Fi shook her head, only to squeak when he actually lifted her into his lap. Her eyes were wide, fingers clutched around one of his arms. They were so high up and he'd just lifted her off her safe spot on the branch. Okay, it was a much nicer spot now, but it was still a pretty scary moment.
"You're so warm Kai~" Almost instantly distracted, Fi leaned into him. His fur was soft, coarse like a man's should be, but still so soft. Right where she liked to bury her face. In the starlight they were almost the same color. Bleached of color from the lighting, it was... It was really nice. She almost couldn't tell them apart.

So comfortable. She ignored the question, but he wouldn't press. Far too content at the moment. He gently nuzzled against her hair, careful of the antlers. "And you're so soft." This was so nice. "I'd be alright staying here all night."

She blushed again, snuggling into his very muscular body. No wonder she couldn't make clothes to fit him, he was rock solid. Unless she made him a bag he'd pop out of everything. It would look... Amazing... But it wasn't a good look to wear in public. "Won't it get cold?" Fi blinked, looking up at him. Sure, she'd be warm snuggling up to him, but wouldn't he get cold sitting on a branch like this, all night long...
