Turning on the flashlight in the communicator device, she indicated for Dova to stay put with Lafayette and Noah, to keep them safe until her return. She could let the pair sleep; it was fine. Lafayette had tried and she could give him points for that and well… she didn’t need him anyways. Dova gave a bit of a coo and nodded, hunkering down and watching as the little pink thing waddled off into the forest to search.

Cheri flashed the light around looking for an egg. It was ridiculous trying to search in the dark but her eyes gave her a bit of extra sight in the dark and so she wasn’t too terribly bothered by it. That was another reason she was fine with Lafayette and Noah having fallen asleep; they’d simply slow her down. Noah was good as a henchman and to do the dirty work she didn’t want to do, but well, him being blind as a zubat didn’t help in this situation of searching. Soon the light illuminated a yellow egg hiding in some bushes and she retrieved it, heading back in the direction to find Dova still waiting. Once she’d shown the egg to the dragon and indicated their next destination. Onto another region and out of this one.

Honestly, while she was upset she needed to recognize that every journey had its bumps and obstacles, and they’d just reached their first. She did realize this, she just needed to get over it!
