Happy Easter ~ Just wanted to say that I got bored and made a visual spotter's guide for all of the media players (I ignored most of the ones which had more than one style though) This has been added to the "Read Me" sticky and the PD thread!
And while I was at it, I obviously checked that everything is still working and accurate, so our first quarterly check is good X'D

Hey! I just wanted to say that I stumbled upon another media player while looking through music players for Tumblr xp It's Muzicons, pretty small and cute. I tested it on a mule and it seems to work fine as a simple one-song player. I think the talk bubble design makes it cool, and it's somewhat customizable (background color yay, icon yay (but not color, nor color of button), add text, etc). I don't think there's an autoplay option (is that a deal breaker?), but I thought it was still nice. What bothers me most is the "buy mp3" that pops up when you hover over it, a link that does absolutely nothing, though I know Bandcamp has a similar thing. Plus the background behind the player is not transparent, so... you like? I feel bad about messing up your visual guide if this were added xd sweatdrop

o u o That's pretty cute... I'm tempted to use it myself. Also, it seems autoplay is possible -- just add the &autostart=1 parameter And there's no worries about messing up the visual guide o: I've been meaning to edit it anyway since Grooveshark closed, so it can take Grooveshark's place ~

lol I actually typed "muzicons parameters" into Google to see if there were other parameters (like something to get rid of that mp3 link) but it seems autoplay was the only thing which popped up. But yeah, feel free to make the guide! (// is lazy)

Okay, truthfully I was done with Muzicons a few days ago, but there is something that I'm unsure about. I think that it isn't possible to use your own icon to put on the player in place of the ones that Muzicon has, but maybe there is a way to get that particular parameter to cave that way? I tried plugging in a url to another icon .png but it didn't work. I also tried redirecting the site parameter to the site hosting the icon and it got nothing. (Not even entirely sure what the site parameter does anyway; the player works fine without it.) Otherwise it's as good as done. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I was wondering if you were finished... owo;; (I was just a bit lazy and busy with other things though so I didn't update the forum thread)
I think the icon is probably pulled from this index (thus why it doesn't have a beginning to the URL like "http://www.etc..." So really, you can only use the icons provided, which isn't too bad -- it's not like you really need anything fancy.
I'll go update the thread ~

Lady Saxophone I'll go update the thread ~ Thank you! smile
Btw, some things I noticed: the Billy thread still mentions mp3songurls as a resource for hosting hotlinks. (I would have fixed that myself but I wasn't sure if you'd want to erase it or put a strike through it.) And on the visual guide, Bandcamp is actually a little color customizable; you can edit the background color of the player and the color of the links, so I think that one deserves a green box. (Sorry I didn't see that earlier sweatdrop )

Bah, I'm bad at updating my own stuff crying Fixed that. And no worries -- you're welcome to edit other people's threads!

Just wanted to say that we have a new source of getting MP3 urls from soundcloud songs. I was going to add this in... but I didn't know whether to put it in the Soundcloud guide, in all of the guides which require direct MP3 urls, or in a separate new guide going over how to get direct MP3 urls for players...?

Oooh, this is cool biggrin Huh. It's a Soundcloud thing so it looks like it needs to be in there, but it's not necessary to find the hotlink in order to use the player, right? But then the step to do so is very close to generating the player anyway.... I think I'd rather not put it in there. I'm all for the separate new guide and linking it to all the guides to players that require a direct link. I'd also like to clean up the instructions I wrote for Kiwi6 and put them in there. It was looking busy on all my guides sweatdrop
