"We definitely shall! " Vremea exclaimed, following Keionx's lead, although it felt a little less exciting and daring than before. Was she pulling Keionx down? Oh noo... She needed to right this wrong... Oh what to do... She wanted to try harder, but it was during a point in the dance that it was a set of different moves she didn't know how to do! She tried, but they came out a bit strangely...

Aandes perked up. He looked around at the sordid lot. The awkward yellowblood being pulled around by her partner. The redblood he'd never seen before who - frankly - looked like they didn't belong there, with the demure brownblood. And there was no way he was going to be beaten by Dictys Glauci and whoever the hell eir thuggish-looking partner was. Shmucks.
Rasali wasn't all that bad. She was the worst, but at least they could use each other to succeed. They could count on each other for that.
He smirked. "We can take 'em," He tapped his foot on the ground in quick sucession and pulled Rasali towards him, suddenly rejuvenated.

[ Maybe it was just the music finally getting Rasali's heart rate back up. The return of Aandes' interest was especially rejuvenating to Rasali and she couldn't help but let her probing smile break into an actual grin. Aandes of all people really shouldn't have been having such an effect on Rasali. He was gross and they were supposed to be opposing each other at every turn.
Rasali decided to view the situation like she'd just won an argument, thus making Aandes a little less horrible. Good job, Rasali.
And with that burst of confidence, Rasali grabbed Aandes by the hips and hefted him into the air. ]

"Oh huh - guess yours weighs a little less than a million pounds." Wondering what sort of lusus this troll had for a moment, probably some small rodent, she didn't realize she was still being questioned. "Eh? What?" Giving a shrug, Regina glanced around. "It's something to do." Loud music and movement were two welcome changes to her usual regime of sitting around being bored and writing angry proclamations. "Sure beats the alternative, huh?" The redblood girl probably had an equally boring, if not vastly more insignificant life outside of the dance hall. Organizing musclebeast dung into piles, or whatever it was that lowbloods did.

"Yes, it certainly does." Odette replied. To be fair, her only alternative was to starve, so anything was better than that. She would never share something like that, though. It would be rude to put such a downer on her partner, and she didn't want to have it affect their dancing, either. Odette grasped for something more to say. Their conversation was getting more awkward by the minute, and the distress was bogging her down. Her small talk was just so empty! She felt the need to fill it with a compliment or say something more. Odette pursed her lips, scanning the room for ideas. Odette lost herself in thought and before she knew it, her feet felt lighter. Too light. They hardly grazed the dance floor, kicking up with little balls of wind under her feet. Odette had trained her powers into her routine performance, and they were working naturally as she moved. From afar, no one would notice something so little. A dance partner, however, could probably feel the air moving around their ankles. Noticing this, Odette tensed and planted her feet square down, right onto her partner's toes. "Oh my goodness! I'm so terribly, terribly sorry! I wasn't paying attention and I really should have. I normally dance much better and I..." Odette trailed off, apologizing profusely. As they danced, Vremea felt a sudden build up slowly store into her. Her dancing became more vibrant, and her movements more dominating-- until finally she was the one leading the two! It was a bit of a surprise, really. She lead Keionx through the dance floor, dancing almost like a pro, big smile on her face.

Skae remained silent while Nervit and he spun around the dancefloor. He wondered if his question had embarrassed her or if he was being rude by asking. Manners wasn't something that Taldad really focused on, other than being polite to others. Please and Thank Yous for not getting culled and apologies for being himself. He nibbled on his lower lip, his prominent top fangs easily catching the skin but thankfully not hard enough to break it and make him bleed.
He was pretty sure it would be bad form (somewhere) to bleed all over ones dance partner.

Nervit had been concentrating so hard on her feet she'd almost missed Skaeys's question. "I watched other dancers....and I thought it might be fun to have a go." She whispered back to the other troll, resisting the urge to tell them off for biting their lips - what if they hurt themselves, after all - but it was probably a little too rude to do that...so Nervit would resist.

I catch glimpses of the others dancing and, well, I don't think I could ever move like they do." He grinned at her, eyes scrunched closed in a manner that seemed like habit. The move cost him some elegance as he stopped paying attention to his feet. He missed a step or two but was quick to correct himself. Regina's eyebrows shot up at the lowblood's stumble then rushed apologies. Thankfully the other troll was so small and light that nothing had been bruised apart from the other girl's nerves. And the forthcoming apologies were so earnest, she couldn't really get angry. Cracking a smile, she threw open her arms magnanimously. "What's the matter, too many highbloods around? Relax, we're all here to have fun." It was, like most things she said, half suggestion, half command. No one can get their groove on when their partner is flustering around, stumbling like a little wriggler. "Tell you what, if we win, I'll show you something nice after. How about that? Think you can turn it out?" Total: 48 (46 + 2)

Relax, we're all here to have fun. The words repeated in Odette's head. That's right, that's what she was here for. Fun! She was here because she loved to dance. And it was about time that she let it show.
"Something nice?" Odette said, nerves still buzzing. It had been a long time since she had anything nice at all, especially from a stranger. "That sounds lovely," she replied with a wide smile. Taking a deep breath, she took a moment to relax and find her footing. She could make this work. She just had to keep her eyes on the prize and have fun. That wasn't too hard, was it? "I'll give it all I've got!" Odette said with the littlest smirk.

Hearing Keionx talk made Vremea stumble a little, but she regained herself-- albeit badly. "I-- I taught myself when young. Some of my friends were quite adept at it, and they taught me. Even though I am not doing too well..." She murmured, being careful where she stepped but managing to avoid any missteps.

"Ee-EEP!" Aandes beeped in surprise as he felt Rasali press into his hipbones. When did she get so strong? She was... Just a little...!
He was at a loss for words, but damn if he would look unprepared for a dance finishing move. He pointed his toes and surveyed the surrounding dance floor, giving a sharp look wherever he saw gaudy jewelry in case of his finned competitor. When he was finally brought back down, Aandes took a beat to continue where he left off. He was a bit shocked from the experience, likely due to a sort of... Rough landing. Sure. All of the flushing in his cheeks was from the dance floor. Aandes narrowed his eyes and carried on.

[ If Rasali had known lifting Aandes would have caused him to have that reaction, she would have done it a long time ago. And constantly. It was, dare she say it... cute? Regardless of the specific terminology the event induced a warm sensation in Rasali's bile sac and the desire to give Aandes a noogie.
While Rasali's giddiness may have caused her to lose track of the music, she more than made up for it with enthusiasm. ]
