"Opponents?" The plural was...interesting. Not unheard of, he was sure, but he hadn't witnessed any sessions that involved two or more against one. It made sense, Reizo supposed. It wasn't as if a group of attackers would be so polite as to attack one at a time. "That must have been difficult." Well...obviously.
Honestly, if Enju wanted to go on talking about the encounter, the Haka probably wouldn't have minded. He rather liked hearing Gehaka talk, when he was in the mood to listen. You heard such different things than when Haka got together to gossip and chatter.

Masae sat seiza under one of the budding cherry blossoms. It was a beautiful day. Clear skies allowing the sun to warm the cool air. Birds chasing each other in and out of the trees.
In front of him lay a book of thin paper, in his hand he held a brush. Mori, a Gehaka on loan from Ryuu sat nearby. Thankfully he was far enough away not to ruin Masae's concentration as he made delicate brush strokes of black ink on the paper. The beginings of a poem inspired by the beauty of the afternoon.

Enju nodded his head calmly, not seeming to give to much attention to it. He tilted his head and he walked, watching a rather pretty butterfly flutter past.
"Mm, yes, I was only able to last about ten minutes or so. I'm not an expert with weapons, I like my hands. I was able to disarm one though but at the expense of myself."
He laughed lightly, looking at his wound. He had various other wounds, scrapes and cuts but the main one was the one on his stomach and another that was actually neatly hidden on his back.

Tsuru sheilded his bloodshot eyes from the brilliant sunlight as he entered the quiet garden. It wasn't much, compared to the other parks in town, but Chisen had a nice feel, especially during early spring. He watched as a soft breeze moved through the cherry trees to stir a few branches, and made his way across the wooden bridge, his hand tapping in time to some unheard melody.

Masae looked up from his words and looked at the scene before him once more. Trees, plants, the pond and a Haka crossing the bridge that he was sat close to the foot of. His blue eyes narrowing, he tried to focus on the unfamiliar Haka. He didn't recognise him at all. Raising an eyebrow he flipped the page over on his book of paper and started to practice writing random words. He didn't like people seeing his poetry before it was finished. Especially not strange Haka.

He didn't recognize anything. He felt a stranger's eyes bore into him, and Tsuru's hand paused mid-beat, watched. "To be or not to be is not the question at hand." Tsuru mumbled the lyrics under his breath, unnerved. Stumbling over the words like the thick planks of the bridge, Tsuru sang the song to himself as he crossed above the clear ponds. "Hello and goodbye, we'll meet each other at the river's end." He ended crisply, drawing near to the other haka.

"Good afternoon." Masae said politely in greeting to the other Haka. He seemed to be lost in his own world. Tapping a rhythm with his honey coloured hand.
Smiling to himself Masae dipped his brush into the ink and began to write again. Sweeping the brush lightly across the page and waiting to see if the Haka replied.

"Impressive, nonetheless." After all, it wasn't as if HE could ever do anything of the like. It seemed that neither of them was particularly paying attention to the conversation. Reizo had turned his attention away from Enju once more, staring at the flowers and the ponds in the distance.
"I have never really experimented with weaponry." Reizo commented offhandedly.

Enju shrugged. He didn't care for any weapons at all really. Strangely, he even really detested violence even though that was another thing he did most often. Even though he was being quiet, he was actually interested in talking, but when you weren't allowed to look at the other you were talking to it made things...akward.
"Mm, I believe most Haka deal with the bladed fan. I don't like weapons much anyway. Or fighting. But you have to do what you have to do, ne?"

A beautiful day in mid-spring. Aya noted inwardly to himself as violet orbs took in the sight of the luscious flowers that were currently in full bloom all around him.
Things were beginning to let up some in the shop such that the red-haired Haka had finally decided that it was probably safe enough for him to take a break without running the risk of having his shop assistants burn the shop down or something as drastic as that happening in his absence. Of course that had come after Itsuki's incessant persuading that he should take a break.
Come to think of it, Itsuki could be so much like their deceased father at times. Aya noted with mild interest, a wry smile on his face at the memory of his parents as he continued his way down the little stone path that only took him further into the garden and what it had to offer...

Yakume Toshi sat under one of the cherry trees, engrossed in a book. The day had been warm, the store had been slow, so his mother had given him the day off, for once with no stipulations like 'practice your swordplay', or 'work on sums'. No, this day was for himself. Which was why he was currently sitting under the tree, reading a book in hand to hand combat, and various dagger techniques. It was written by a gehaka, actually, and contained many tips that even haka could use to defend themselves, even with their naturally weaker bodies. It was really, quite interesting. He found himself humming a bit, playing and twirling the chopsticks he'd eaten his lunch with in the patterns described in the book.

Turning round another corner, the Fujimiya clan Haka found himself in yet another clearing. This one was more sparse than the previous one, populated mainly by trees instead of the usual shrubs and bushes such that one could find a shady spot to settle down at should one desire to do so.
It was at that point in time when he noticed the lone blond Gehaka who was currently engrossed in a book beneath one of the cherry trees. Hmm... this was certainly a rare sight indeed given that most of the Gehakas he had seen his entire life were either in the company of their Haka mates or engrossed with work.
A book..? Never... so this was definitely a first for him. Aya was intrigued. He wondered what kind of a book would interest a Gehaka so.
Padding his way over to where Toshi was currently seated at, Aya tilted his head to the side some, a small smile on his face as he cleared his throat a little so as to get the winged male's attention.
"Pardon me... but would you mind if I join you under the shade..?"

Toshi had just gotten to the end of the chapter when the other Hanze came up, so it was with a polite smile and bow of the head that he greeted the other. "Of course." he said, standing and bowing when he saw it was a haka- and apparently a very well-off haka. "Please, feel free to join me." he said with a smile, resuming his seat. The last, tantalizing page of the chapter in his book was there, and he picked up the book carefully, reading quietly, one ear turned to the haka, signaling that the other would have his attention for any reason, and that his book would be set aside if requested. He brushed his bright golden hair out of his face, flipping to the next chapter. This one was on more basic Gehaka tasks- including management of the other gehaka, a useful skill for any gehaka whose mother was intent on making sure he was useful to his haka.

Dipping his head slightly to indicate his thanks towards the Gehaka, Aya tugged his yukata up a little before moving on to take his place next to the other male under the cherry tree. He had picked a simple yukata over his collection of kimonos to wear for the current outing, having anticipated that he might soil his clothes at one point or another given the paucity of seats and rest pavilions in the Chisen Kaiyu Shiki Garden.
Of course the cost of replacing a soiled kimono wouldn't pose too much of a problem to someone of his status, but the red-haired Haka wasn't the type to flaunt his wealth or waste his money over silly reasons such as that. The same money could be spent through better means like on his brother Itsuki as well as on the various things required by the entire household.
The young Haka watched the greenery around him in silence, an appreciative look reflected within pools of violet as he enjoyed the peace and quiet around him. As non-chalent as Aya might have appeared, he wasn't intentionally ignoring Toshi though. Goodness only knew how all the more curious he was with regards to the contents of the book for the winged male to be so engrossed as such.
Wetting his lips a little, the Fujimiya clan Haka took a deep breath before posing the question to the other male.
"... if you don't mind me asking, may I know what book is it that you're reading over there..?"

Toshi blinked up at the young haka, an almost confused look in his eyes. "This book?" A haka, interested in a gehaka'a book? That was a rare find, for him. "It's just a lesson book." he said with a light blush. He glanced over at the haka, tanned ear twitching in curiosity, brushing conflower yellow hair away from his face. Glancing back at the trees and plants, he gave a soft smile, flipping tha page in his book. The haka was beautiful, even dressed so plainly. Toshi blushed lightly, regaining his focus on the chapter at hand. Time management. He didn't have time to spend mooning over the beauty of a haka who had paid him just the basics of courtesy, why was his heart pounding?
