Taini took the carving back, and swallowed. He chanced a glance, only to see the Haka still watching. Taking a deep breath, the blonde Gehaka sat back up and continued his carving. The face and hair, that was all that needed to be done.
Swiftly, the hair was cut. It was easier now that the gehaka could see Reizo right in front of him, as he had seen Tsukiko. Once the hair was done, he turned to the face. The small nose, the eyebrows, the eyes, almond like Tsukiko's, but they held none of the warmth. The soft lips, but not in a smile. The figurine in his hand looked almost...haughty. But Taini wished to carve an almost exact likeness, and he had.
"There lord, it is yours if you wish.." He held it out to the Haka once again.

"I'm seventeen," he said, gesturing for Okita to give him the bag he held. His hand left Hachiro arm as he rumaged though the bag. The Haka pulled out a black bracer made of leather, with a simple design along the rim, and his family name on the front. Shinku slipped the bracer onto Hachiro arm. "You will marry me in three days."

Reizo indeed watched, arms crossed over his chest, eyes softening a little while observed the Gehaka working. Artistry was so much more appealing than merchant-work.
Taini was good at what he did. Very, very good. When the carving was done, Reizo took it back, turning it over and over in his hands. There was no compliment except..."What is the name of your family's shop?" Which, if you read it the right way, was quite a high compliment.

Before the Gehaka could respond to Shinku, his eyes were focused upon the bag, focused on the leather bracer with strange lettering embedded upon the stuff. He knew whta it was the moment he saw it--but it still didn't keep his heart from leaping into his throat. No thoughts darted through his mind; he simply stared at the bracer as it was slipped on to his arm. Marriage...?
"Y...Yes, Shinku-san." He stumbled over his words for a moment, taken aback at the prospect. "I would be honored..." Hachiro knew that he sounded stupid, and although this wasn't anything out of the ordinary, it was strange to think of it happening to him. At least his mother would be pleased...and, as he snuck a guilty little look at Shinku, at least he would be...married, to someone that he enjoyed talking too...

Shinku glazed at Hachiro, and his ears fell slightly as the other stumbled. Maybe he had gone a little fast. Well he wasn't going to take it back. He like Hachiro, and he would be able to get away from his overbearing mother.
"I'm pleased you are honored," he said. His family was not a very promit family in society; they did well but nothing like some of the others. He might have a small argument with his mother over this. "You sounded a little surprised." His eyes flickered down.

"The shop? My family's shop is called より ザ 木*," The blonde haired Gehaka thought about how much his mother would love such a high society haka calling on their little shop. But really, the Haka should go to a nicer place. "My mother is a better craftsman than myself, lord." It was halfway true. On certain things his mother was better, on things people tended to buy. Boxes, carved chairs, and the like. When it came to smaller things however, Taini was the true star in the shop. His skills would be gone the moment Tsukiko decided to fully marry him. *in english its from the tree

The young raven haired Gehaka sat under a cherry tree, fuming for the first time in the past three years. His mother had totaly gotten mad at him. Marriage, he yelled, is something you need Sada. Well Sada was scared of Haka, in fact didn't react well with many. He just... always fell over or something. His mother was already, at least more than likely, planning to marry him off to a friend, so why should he care?
It was the fact that there was a fight that ate at him. He tried to be a good son, he really did. Farm work, sword play, he was good at those kind of things... not that it seemed to matter to his mother.
Frowning, Sada decided to speak his anger out loud, even if quietly to himself. There seemed to be no one around... at least that his blue eyes could see.
"I wish he would just shut up, and leave me be..." he sighed out loud.

As Shinku's ears dropped, the Gehaka mentally cursed at himself, giving his head a small shake as though attempting to clear his mind that way. He wasn't upset in the slightest by this event--he simply hadn't been expecting it. And he didn't want Shinku to feel as though he was upset with the marriage...if anything, Hachiro was plesantly pleased. He did like the Haka quite a bit.
Even if Shinku's family was not one of the larger businesses, Hachiro didn't mind at all. Wealth tended to corrupt people, and only made them lust for even more. "I was surprised, but I assure you, it had nothing to do with you." The Gehaka bowed his head slightly, offering what he hoped was an encouraging half-smile. "I enjoy talking with you, and if I am to be married, then I am quite satisfied, even pleased to spend the rest of my life with you."

Sada nearly jumped out of his skin. People seemingly kept doing that to him. He stared up at the other with his blue eyes before sighing. It wasn't anyone his mother knew....at least from what he could see.
"Sorry, I just... but you're right. Wishing never helped anything..." He frowned a bit again. "It'll all be solved when mother marries me off." He stood, to greet the other with a half shy smile.
"I am Yori Sada."

Shinku ears flickered back up. His jade eyes glazed into Hachiro cool blue, and he gave a small smile. Hachiro seemed to be happy with the arrangement. "Will you're mother be alright with this?" He questioned. Hachiro mother could refuse the union. It was rare but it could happen.
He pushed his hair back. He would have to speak to Sei when he returned home, and tell his mother. THe haka made a little displeased face. His mother would not be happy, mother wanted him under his thumb.

The grin on Sada's face was wide. To find another who thought as he did was great. The dark gehaka's wings opened halfway before he closed them again.
"Yes well, with so many young unmarried Haka around, mothers seem to think that we could go out shout 'Marriage' and be married within moments. Or at least having a bracer on our wrists." He chuckled a bit, before bowing his head slightly. "It is nice to meet you Yasuji-san."

Hachiro was both pleased and relieved to see Shinku return his smile, not liking the Haka to seem so down. It didn't suit him, really, and the Gehaka prefered him being happy rather than upset. One of his hands had drifted up, the calloused fingers gently tracing the smooth, cool leather bracer that was now fitted upon his wrist. Yes, marriage didn't seem like a bad thing at all, now that he actually gave it some thought.
"My mother was beginning to believe that no one would wish to marry me..." He admitted with a deep, alluring chuckle. Though he tended to smile often, Hachiro hardly ever laughed. Perhaps it was because he was taught to stay silent most of the time, showing emotion, but never allowing anyone to hear it. The displeased face was noted and, quite sure that it was not directed at him, Hachiro tilted his head slightly. "Is something the matter?"
