Question Can you tell us about any possible features or updates to expect in the future of zOMG?
We are planning on two events coming up, one will probably end up being a permanent event. I can't share anything until the engineering and art work are half way done, but we're definitely working hard on this!

Will you ever make it so that Shadow Orbs are available in other areas in zOMG, even as a rare drop? Because its getting harder and harder to find people who want to do a DMS run these days.
Short answer is yes, more details will come later as we figure out what to do with the new recolored monsters

I've been wondering. But since Angelic Halo has been re-released on multiple occasions, is there a chance that Ring: Integrity will ever be re-released as well. Perhaps for finishing a special quest or something?
Hope I can find another event worthy of giving out the integrity ring. Until then I probabyl shouldn't just give them out randomly.

With the planned demise of Flash on December 31st 2020, what are your plans for Gaia's Flash games such as zOMG!? Will we be getting HTML5 versions of Fishing, Slots, Cards etc?
I plan to write new html5 versions of everything I can. zOMG? Not sure.
You guys must be brainstorming how to tackle the zOMG issue then. Maybe run it as a stand-alone game then where you log in with your Gaia account?
It is keeping us up at night!

Have you had the chance to look into the gold/plat drops in zomg? It seems as though the cap is broken as discussed in this thread here

Is it possible to earn platinum from games? I've tried playing booty grab, jigsaw puzzle, and zOMG but I don't think my platinum count is increasing. I really like the new system and I want to make more money but I don't really know how!
All the games should be granting platinum! The icons have not been changed yet.

Will you be working to convert the zOMG currency from gold to plat?
Currently you do get Platinum after having switched over. We will be updating the graphics to reflect the changes soon, just need to get the events out ASAP, as well as the necessary bug fixed for Platinum.

If you're settings are set to platinum you earn platinum. The games do not individually grant money. The icons in the games have not been updated.
sad Nope. It's still in gold standards, and I'm in plat on my account. Maybe it's just me then?

Like it'll tell me that every kill is worth 10000G, it's more than just the icon thats set.

The the advent of Flash being discontinued in a coupe of years, are there any plans to update your games into HTML5? Spin off question: if yes, and you happen to update z! does that mean that we may end up seeing the game finally completed!? surprised
We will be updating as many games as we can! At this time converting zOmg doesn't seem likely.

Can we get a breakdown of how platinum is granted in zOMG? Like in regards to luck/CL/length of time played etc
*We have been testing different ways of earning it and it seems there is a cap but it's different across the userbase
Any cap from before should have been disabled and will use the new granting system, I'll need to check on that and make sure it's bug free. A lot to do!

Good evening everyone! I hope you are all doing well. We appreciate all the hard work you have been doing with plat and getting our summer event together. Onto my question;
There are a few glitches in z that I'm not sure if you're all aware of. One being that the Iron will an Rock armour ring will glitch randomly whenever the armor pool breaks. Even if it's been buffed r4 within the 15 min interval, it'll still act as though it is only r1.
Then there is another issue outside of the game, but in regards to zomg as well. That is the Deluxe Boosts within the Backalley bargains shop. The regular size are not soulbound, but the deluxe are. Is there a reason for this? Thank you for your time!

General Question: If ZOMG runs on flash and there isn't enough people on staff to overhaul the whole game- -won't that mean it will have to be shut down? I was also wondering about astra items as well; what exactly is the plan for dealing with them? Some are part of full blown item sets.
I'm not a developer so I can't say this with absolute certainty, but as far as I understand, the "death of Flash" is more that Adobe won't be providing anymore updates for it. Kind of like Windows XP, you can still use it, but Microsoft won't be updating it to secure any issues.
Additionally, as far as I understand, no browsers have gone on record stating that they're going to update their software to remove the capability of using Flash, just that it won't be automatically enabled and you'll have to enable it yourself. That, of course, could change, but I don't think I've heard anyone say that Chrome/Firefox would be doing it anytime soon.

With the introduction of platninum, and the amount of bank that LK generates, is there any chance of getting rid of the cap on zOMG. Any chance of it dishing out more gold, or at least one part? A zOMG equivalent of sycamorts?
I don’t want to grind LK cry but I’ll gladly grind zOMG haha
+ if it became a signigant way to earn gold, I’m sure that would draw a lot of people back to it again.
I remember raising the cap on zOMG, but I'll check again and raise it some more.

Any chance of a Shadow Orb Doubler for zOMG?
I don't think 2 Shadow Orb drops would kill anyone, especially seeing how so many people had and still have the potential to buy level 12 rings off of MP. But maybe I'm wrong and it would mess up zOMG big time. rofl
Maybe it's not worth the time it takes to do it, it's just an idea.
When I have time I want to add more monsters that will drop shadow orbs. Hopefully after Halloween

New areas are not likely, but we will be setting up events or servers where different monsters with higher difficulties will grant more items and shadow orbs

Thank you so much for extending the event. It's been great. But it looks like the ghosts in zOMG are glitchy, and haven't been respawning since Monday night.
Turns out I had a bug where some parts of the event ended two days ago. I've fixed the issue and just released a new patch to the servers. Sorry about that!

For well over a week now, quite a number of zOMG! players have been plagued by the inability to see their avatars or NPCs in the game and despite numerous people (myself included) trying to get someone's attention regarding this, both in the z!F and in the bugs forums, it feels like the staff has been eerily silent on the matter when it's an issue that's been impacting a lot of players. I wasn't even able to enjoy the extension of the Halloween event because of it.
Can we finally PLEASE get someone to look into this, or at least acknowledge the problem? I miss being able to play the game since the problem started.
The avatar problem in zOMG is the same problem in Towns and other flash games, and we had been working on those bugs for the past 2 weeks.
We've addressed almost all the issues related to the server changes. I hope that we will have any remaining issues resolved in the coming week.

We're working on a small Christmas event though there won't be new areas I'm afraid. We don't have resources for flash related components at the moment. We should have some recolored monsters roaming around which should help with earning shadow orbs later.
