Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death" Meanwhile, Xuza couldn't even watch the attack hit, praying silently to herself as the wave made impact. Suddenly a phantasmal hand reached her. She felt her energy, the same energy she'd spent on the attack, leaving her body all at once. Then it seemed like she was the one who was hit.
... But, that was wrong. Instead she was now being rejuvinated. Marlevous!
"... You're ok then?" She asked seriously despite Yako's apparent flippancy. She took a moment to dust herself off. "Yeah, I guess that's true. ... Maybe. It felt like 'Lumi' was just toying with me. I've never seen a person move like that before; never met someone who could match me in sword skills."

 Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Yakō didn't make any movement and kept the room from stoping Xuza's attack. Without thier interference she would have had no way of seeing Xuza's attack. Nothing in the room would be flammable since she widened it. The barrier she erected was a dome of hexagonal shields that overlap each other to form a defensive grid. Yakō braced herself for the impact,and took the attack full force. Due to the shape of the barrier the heat would be somewhat diffused but the first few layers of it sustained major damage. Had Yakō not been watching it could have caused serious injury. She walks over to her pupil and places a hand on her.
" My my I wasn't expecting that. A little more and I'd probably be ashes right now hehe. I can see how Lumi might have found it hard to compete with.
" Yakō smiles and twirls to show Xuza she was perfectly fine. She then got Xuza a chair to sit in.
" Yes. You hesitated so it wasn't as strong as it should have been,but I was impressed you damaged my barriers first layer without hinderance. Lumina poured all her training into her speed and swords skills. the only individual who can surpass her would be our older brother Decus. Even though Lumina is really fast, my brothers skills far surpass hers. I myself focused on less destructive magics hehe.

"Oh, neat--wait, there's someone better than her??" Xuza blinked a few times in disbelief and then shook her head to clear the thought out. "Never mind. You asked about the witch? She called herself... Paradox." Xuza drew her wings in, and the curious rippling they produced ceased.
"How did you get so strong though? That was amazing..."

Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Yakō blinks at the mention of the witches name. Paradox;a witch with advanced space time powers. During the Rantō's meeting Decus exsplained how he fought her for insulting Ren. From what she understood Paradox was quite tricky to deal with;perhaps to much for Xuza.
" Yes. My brother is quite a powerful warlock,and he seems to have gone toe to toe with your target.
" Yakō takes a moment to look at a poster on the table. After reading it she smiles.
" It's a strange thing, to be strong and kind. Two qualities that seem to stand on opposite ends of the spectrum. I was born in grief, and so it shouldn't come easily to me, to be kind. As a child, I fought to keep on, to protect my sister from harm. Suffering makes a person strong but also makes them merciful not wishing that others endure what they did. In my life of enduring, I learned how to be kind. It's said that when one wields magic to its utmost limit, they are able to control the very forces governing nature itself; magic turns nature into the caster's ally. When an individual reaches the apex of this magic's power, they are able to sense the natural energies around them and subsequentially use them for their benefit. I spent every secound studying its secrets until I became the witch you see before you.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death" "Wow, that must've taken a while..." Xuza was, needless to say, impressed. With this new information she was getting the picture that Yako was much older than she looked, as was the case with most witches--but she wouldn't dare ask the lady her age outright! That would just be rude. Instead she seemed to fix herself on her sword which had been cut in half by the attack.
"It's probably obvious, but in order to do that move I have to superheat an object and sacrifice a portion of it. Meanwhile, I have to find ways of getting more power--" holding her hands up-- "I mean, I feel great," she said in reference to Yako's rejuvenation magic, "it's just that I don't have the fuel to do that. ... I'd have to go through all that again!" She chuckled a little as she mimed an endless fall with her hands.
"... But you think I can be better, huh?" She asked finally indulging the blonde witch.

Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Yakō smiles mischievously. She'd pieced a thought together,and she was quite pleased with herself. The poster she was looking at held the key.
" Merely a few of my teenage years. I'm a real bookworm when I want to be. Plus Granny (Maaba),and my old master were very good teachers.
" Yakō holds up the poster. In elaborate writing reads The Salamander Sphinx The depiction is of gigantic beast with a body structure that is similar to a lion's. Its skin is completely covered in tough green scales and its mane is orange and has a very elaborate, curly, and wavy style. It has an intimidating humanoid face with pitch black eyes and yellow pupils, a long purple tongue, and a large fanged maw. On its back it has slightly large white wings, although they appear to be vestigial and it is unknown if it can fly with them. It has a living snake for tail which has a triangular-shaped head. " Mhm. I believe the best way to do it would be for you to accompany me to take down this beast. You need to either learn to conserve,or increase you power. Otherwise your a sitting duck once it runs out,without someone watching your back. This beast secrets special tears that can serve as a powerful energy source. The one I'm after is super old,so if you drink tears it should achieve the desire result.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death" Xuza took a look at the poster and thought this was all some kind of game for a moment, but soon enough saw that Yako was serious--and that the poster was quite old looking.
"Well, I do have ways, but I see what you mean..." She said mulling it over. "Take a look at my wings. They're fairly white right now. That's because I used my power. As far as I know the only way I can refill them--make them darker that is--is by using my spatial powers. I don't exactly know what that means, but do you really think these tears could replace that...?"

Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Yakō smiles as Xuza's wings are incased by her barrier. By breaking the barrier down she transfers the space time enrgy into Xuza's wings. Making them regain thier nebulous state once more.
I'm positive. It revitalizes cells so at the very least you should be able to hold on to more energy.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death" Xuza's back sunk a little, taking the weight of the wings. She'd forgot to mention that part.
"Whoa now! ... Thanks, I guess." She pointed to them saying, "If they aren't 'open' they take on weight the more of this stuff I pile on. That should be obvious, huh?" Another sigh and Xuza straightened up.
"I'm ready to go if you are. Can't be much worse than doing nothing." Obviously she would let Yako lead the way. Xuza felt she was growing more comfortable around her. This was the person who healed her after fighting her sister, after all. She could trust her not to lead her astray in combat... Right?

Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Hmmm perhaps I'm used to it. My abilities don't carry much weight as far as I know. Very well let's be off. Yakō makes a hand sign and the room reverts. She gently leads Xuza out as the security nexus is settling. As they walk away from the restaurant Yakō takes out a paper charm and summons a Shikigami in the for of a carriage bit with no visible horses to draw it. She motions for Xuza to get in.

Xuza got in with no hesitation. She could trust Yako now, and though her motives may have seemed a little odd to her--first with the sacrificial way she approached gauging one's power to this rather pedestrian way to get around--but for the moment she would simply enjoy the ride.

Xuza Uriel: "Angel of Death" The ride over was certainly something worth mentioning. Xuza was downright mystified with all the wild, pristine vistas laid out for them as they rocketed toward their destination. And here she was expecting a slow trip! By the time they'd landed she was beginning to feel like an honest-to-goodness explorer, inspired to something akin to awe by the magnitude and majesty of the hushed ruins ahead--not mentioning her silence was held partly due to her not wanting to lose her lunch, of course.
Finally she was able to get her feet solid beneath her, like some land pleb out at sea with the finest sailors for the first time. She stood by Yako, drinking in the sights for a moment before speaking.
"That...? It looks, I don't know... Important?" She shifted her weight in trying to figure out what to think of this place. "Are you sure?"

Yakō Gōkana TsukiThe Luxurious Moon Witch Yakō smiles as she watches Xuza gaze at the landscape. Meanwhile she took a short nap and touched bases with her Shikigami. She had to dismiss quite a few to feel strong enough to take on the sphinx. As they touched down she dismissed the last of them and let out a sigh.
Of course heheh. I've exsplored most of it,and we have permission from the locals so don't fret. Ruins look amazing and I've been incorporating some of thier designs for my Cafe in Cairo. The Sphinx has retreated deep inside,but I already took care of most of the dangerous beast inside.

This seemed like either a set up or something that should have been done a long time ago; in which case the question of possibility surely would arise in the soup of thoughts Xuza was boiling through. "So all I have to do is go there and smash this--whatever it is--and then drink its tears--which quite honestly sounds disgusting. Sounds simple enough. ... What if I die?" Frank and quick, but it was something that should be addressed, this danger.
