Bartholomew wearily walked up to the booth. The boil running it didn't exactly seem... Up his alley. In fact, not too many of them really were. A lot of them bore bright colors and didn't seem terribly serious. At least this one wasn't too colorful. Sure it seemed like the boil was rather passive but Bart was plenty used to putting up with people of such views. He just tried to avoid them when he could, but he wanted to talk to all the candidates- especially those running for such an important office like President. Besides, maybe the boil would surprise him. Bart went ahead and decided to play the game. He had come to rather like minipets after all. "So, it is rather clear you like minipets. So, may I ask which is you favorite? Or is it cruel to make you pick just one?" He gave a slight smile and a light laugh, knowing full-well the importance of first impressions. Bart then went ahead and played the game, smiling as he scooped up a aromatic mushroom, then swiftly ticking it away into his suit jacket pocket before noticing a suggestion box off to the side. "Have things been faring well?" He politely asked as he began to think of suggestions. He might as well contribute his ten cents. Code: I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY
Student Name: Bartholomew Blackhorn (quest) Notes: As I am not a fully enrolled student quite yet- it's a long story about paper work or something or other- I find events such as open house and similar events where mingling easily takes place, to be my favorite. Thus, I feel there should be plenty of them. Regardless, I don't feel we should veer away from tradition or anything of that nature- I feel we should stick with what works. For the most part at least. Why fix something that's not broken?
Did I hear something about a mentor system earlier? I think that would be very interesting to see, and be relatively easy to incorporate with other events.
Finally, a question. What do you feel sets you apart from the other candidates?
kuroopu Sorry, Bart is so serious and political. Boring questions! razz I'm sure you're swamped with art and such, and Bart didn't ask or say anything revolutionary. I would love some art of him, but please don't worry about it if you are too busy ^^ Mini's SN: FireBoltDragon

Llyr had been noticeably kind in coming to visit Gabby's booth, for no other reason than simple desire to meet other candidates - and perhaps other students in general. It was the kind of trait people would have liked to see in a president, Gabby surmised. The kind of trait necessary to deal with that many people, and somehow actually care about them. That, coupled with the laid back and soothing presence the water demon exhuded, meant that Llyr would probably win his attempted post. Gabby wondered what it would be like to hold that much responsibility for an entire student body, and then he got very, very tired and desired a nap. Instead, he visited Llyr's booth, as a gesture of thanks for the boils visit to his. There might have been a small alternative reason behind his visit - and it might have had to do with scoring another flower wreath (he still wore the one Llyr had given him, and his others were all at home on the wall.) But he would never admit that. "Your booth is very nice." Gabby hesitantly complimented, trying to be less frosty than usual. "I am sure you will win." He stealthily leaned over, and picked up a blue flower crown, placing it gently on his head on top of the white one Llyr had given him. He bent in to look at himself through the reflection of the fish pool, and adjusted the flowers until it looked just right. "There." He murmured. "I will wear this as well, to give you good luck." He clearly did not understand the whole luck thing very well.

The goo on her cheeks might have just picked up more of a pink color. She was pretty sure that was a compliment and beamed at the boil. "Thanks! Partnerships would be fun, maybe you could offer extra credit or something, like spookies as an incentive!" She returned his smile, "I'll let you get back to your campaign, good luck and I hope I see you around more!" Once she had walked a few paces she turned around and waved.

The boil with the snake tail was certainly curious enough. Llyr gave him a look of wide-eyed interested, dark eyes following the progression of the other as he tried to figure out just how it worked. The snake seemed to be connected to the boil, not in the same way that Pachua turned into a snake, which was quite fascinating.
"Yes, please do take as many as you wish!" said Llyr, beaming at the boil. "Please do take whatever you wish, I am quite glad that people seem to like what I have to offer."
He blinked, tilting his head a little, and said, "Oh! It is not necessary for you to give me something in return, I do not mind giving things out!"The vampire that stepped up was dimly familiar, though Llyr couldn't quite place him. Still, he was quite impressive on the whole that it made him smile, and Llyr gestured towards the table of goodies, quite pleased to see that someone else had slid a suggestion into the box.
"Thank you for stopping by!" he said with a little wave. The next ghoul to arrive was unfamiliar, but Llyr gave her a warm, welcoming smile anyway, his cheeks flushed with pleasure. "Good afternoon," he said happily, and gestured to the table in front of him. "My name is Llyrendil, and I am a second year at Amityville! As you can see, I am running for Student Council President! What is your name? Please do help yourself to whatever you'd like!"The boil that stepped up was someone else unfamiliar, but Llyr welcomed him with a beaming smile and a little nod of his head. The ears were very likable, he decided, and reminded him a little of Jove's, though Jove's were much smaller and fluffier.
"Oh!" said Llyr in surprise and then gave a little laugh. "Oh, that is a very difficult question, you are right. I don't really have a favorite, but I do have one that is very precious to me, and she is Elysia, my herpalotl!" He beamed, clearly happy to be talking about her. "She has been with me a long time."
Llyr lifted a hand and swept a few stray strands of hair from his face. "Things have been faring quite well, thank you for asking," he said, sounding very pleased someone had asked him. "I am very much enjoying my time campaigning, and even if I do not win the position, I have at least had quite a good time running!"The arrival of the dragon boil Gabriel made Llyr smile in delight. "Thank you very much!" he said happily, waving at the assortment of goodies in front of him. "I am very glad that you have stopped by, your booth was quite lovely to see, and I am very pleased to hear that you think my booth is worth visiting!"
Hearing that this boil thought he might win made Llyr flush with a mixture of embarrassment and pleasure all at once, because surely he couldn't quite trust himself to think that way so early on. "You are very kind," said Llyr, with a little bow in Gabby's direction. "Thank you so much."
Even if the other boil didn't understand the whole luck thing well, Llyr was still positively thrilled that someone liked his flower crowns enough to wear two of them. He pressed his hands together and gave a little clap, beaming so brightly it was a wonder the whole both didn't light up.
"You look wonderful," he said. "Thank you so much!"Llyr liked the pink goo because it was very pretty in its own way. Which he told the ghoul as she smiled at him, Llyr reaching a hand up to absently pat at the flower crown on his own head with a lightly scaled hand and make sure it was still there.
"That is a good idea!" he said, clearly pleased with this notion. "You are very intelligent, I will most certainly take that into account! Thank you so much for your suggestions and for your wishes of luck, I am very grateful to you for all of them! Please do stop by again!"
He gave her a little wave as she left, feeling slightly more cheered.

For a brief moment, she just stood there behind the small crowd as she always did - unsure if Ruth was with her really - watching the others and letting her gaze drift towards the booth itself. It was simple but it was very pretty; it had flowers and little bowls and the boil manning it was very much pretty like his set up. She said nothing of the matter to him, as it was but just sort of gave him most upbeat happy stare before she finally moved a little more forward.
The first thing she noticed at her new perspective, even before the nets, was the sign up on the side. Very carefully she read it, sometimes sounding out the words out loud as she continued down the list. there were a few words she struggled with, but it was very simple and honestly she could say she rather liked what Llyr had to offer if he was the president of their student council. He did mention he liked people. "I like them too ~" Olivia chirped happily, giving the fishy boil another happy look.
It was then she finally moved onto the little game he had set up. Olivia picked up one of the nets as she made it behind the booth towards the little pool and picked up one of the offered nets. She cast it in, then reeled it out only to find a very cute little black and blue creature inside. Oh, how neat! Olivia's eyes just seemed to glow a little brighter at what she had found. (She was given a little leash for her prize, more things, yay!)
"Can I have a flower crown as well?" The ghoul asked when she rounded back towards the front. Even though there was a blue one as well, she kind of had her eyes set on the white one. (She had to wonder if this one did anything fun like the last one she put on).kuroopu Olivia won a Hector ouo sn: chirigami (She also gives him many happy smiles, she thinks he is pretty

Bartholomew nodded as the boil spoke to show he was listening. He didn't too bad. He wasn't bouncing off of the walls or freaking out, nor was he boring or anything of that nature, which was definitely a perk. "I understand. I would actually have to say something similar, but my dust bunny, Silas is very precious to me, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was my absolute favorite. Although, I'm sure he probably thinks so. I actually haven't had any minipets until recently, and Silas was my first." He continued to give a friendly smile. The boil definitely seemed to be enjoying himself. "Good, good! That's a wonderful mindset you have. After all, it's not about winning or losing, it's how you pay the game, yes?" He asked, although wasn't quite certain he agreed with the statement himself. He was more of a 'the end justifies the means' kinda guy, but he couldn't say the statement was entirely without merit. Although, the thought of 'games' made Bart think of a very important question that he had not yet asked. "Speaking of which, just curious, do you happen to play chess?" He paused for a moment before remembering something else rather important. "Oh! How unlike me! I forgot to introduce myself! My most humble of apologies, I am Bartholomew Blackhorn." He said, offering his hand out for a hand shake.

In his eye-searing, Merry-inspired clothing with the "Vote for Merry!" pins and faux feathers, Ahm was quite visible - as he had intended to be. He was basically rocking the "walking advertisement" look as he made his way over to Llyr's booth. He'd met the water demon when Merry's campaign booth had been the Snack Attack (he missed the candy already, though some of it was still squirreled away in his dorm room) and when he'd realized the pretty boil was running for office...well, he figured he'd give him some support. It certainly didn't hurt that Llyr was easy on the eyes, either. "Ah, so this is where all the flower-crowns're coming from." Ahm smiled, teeth gleaming from within his cowl. There was also a game still up, water and nets and Ahm's tail and gloved fingers twitched; he did so enjoy games. Of all sorts. But most especially the sorts that garnered food...which minipets could become most easily. Ahm shifted and watched Llyr as he took a net and gave the 'game' a shot. When a rather wet aromatic mushroom ended up in his net, he chuckled and fluttered his lashes. "Aw, I didn't know this was a dinner date. I woulda brought flowers or something." kuroopu 4 - You scoop an aromatic mushroom! (Minis is khiarhu) I am so sorry Ahm is being a creeper @__@;;

For a few moments it seemed as though his booth was clustered with people, a feeling that made Llyr quite happy because it meant that people actually cared enough to stop by. He waved and smiled and beamed at each and every one of them, and when the crowd thinned a little, Llyr saw a quiet ghoul who seemed to be reading his list of reasons with great intent.
"Ah!" he said, eyes shining with happiness, "Thank you so much for stopping by, please do take a flower crown! Take as many as you wish! As you can see, my name is Llyrendil and I am running for Student Council President. I do so hope that you know you are welcome to anything you wish from this booth! What is your name? Your hair is very pretty," he added, with an admiring glance."Ah, I have seen some of the dust bunnies!" said Llyr excitedly. "They are most precious, I am very fond of them. I'm afraid I do not have any myself, but I have seen them in other rooms! Most of my own room is taken up by a rather large pool of water, so most of my pets swim with me when I am in it!"
Llyr had already decided that he liked this boil and the way he talked; he seemed very pleasant and very intelligent. "Yes, very true," Llyr said, with a nod at him. "Even if I am to lose, I will still be happy if I am able to at least inspire some people, or even just to get to know them! I do so love getting to know people!"
The word "chess" was foreign to Llyr, who tilted his head to the side rather like a bird. "I do not," he said curiously, blinking a little. "It sounds very interesting, though, perhaps one day you could teach me!"
Llyr, who still hadn't quite managed to grasp the actual concept of a real handshake, reached out and grasped the boil's hand in both of his and gave it a friendly sort of squeeze. "It is most lovely to meet you, Bartholemew; are you are visitor to Amityville, or are you a student?"It took Llyr a moment to realize that the boil who had come to his booth draped in darkness was not Nahm, but the other one - Ahm - whom Llyr had only just met earlier that day. Still, Llyr greeted him with a beaming smile, because Nahm was very nice and he assumed Ahm was very nice as well, especially since Ahm had seemed quite friendly back at Merry's booth.
"Ah, yes!" said Llyr brightly, gesturing towards the table that was currently laden with a wide assortment of items that ranged from teeshirts to mugs to pins to colorful flower crowns. "Yes, I am the one who is making them, please do take one, if you wish!"
He swept his long, dark hair off of his shoulder and smiled at Ahm. "I do like flowers," he said, the chains on his chest clinking a little as he swayed where he stood, without quite realizing he was doing it. "I am very glad that you have stopped by, Ahm, are you enjoying your day so far?"Syrie skdjfkjsf omg ur fine <33

Bart couldn't help but smile a bit more at the boil's rather excited reply about dust bunnies. Part of him was very tempted to go 'fan girl' and talk about how cute they were, but he kept his composure. He scratched the back of his head at Llyr's comment about rooms. "Yeah... I'm not exactly what I would consider an organized person, so they show up rather regularly in my room..." he admitted with a nervous laugh. Bart had to agree with the boil about meeting people, although he knew their reasons for enjoying it were probably quite a bit different. Bart noticed that Llyr looked a bit confused about chess, but Bart understood. Although playing chess definitely got any boil or ghoul brownie points in Bart's book, not too many people played it anymore. As such, not everyone really knew what it was either. Bartholomew didn't like it, but it was the ugly truth and he, more or less, understood. "Definitely! I would be more than happy to teach you!" Bart contained a bit of laughter as the boil gripped his hand. He forgot that not everyone in Amity was used to giving hand shakes. Bart had a lot of adapting to do. "The pleasure is all mine. I am kind of... Both? A student and just visiting. I'm kind of just hanging around until some paperwork and stuff gets done so I can be an official student. It still sounds like it will be a while, but that just makes events like these all the more fun. Although, hopefully by next year I'll be able to run for student council myself! I think it would be a ton of fun."

Take as many as she wished. How tempting an offer that was, especially with the array of colors that the booth's host has put out on display. But, Olivia managed to restrain herself and only take the white one she had been eying (there were still so many colors though, she could get one for each of her friends. But no, no she should be nice and only take one). "Thank you!" The ghoul smiled even wider, her eyes aglow.
Really, that also fed into his compliment on her hair. And on impulse, she raised a hand to brush into a few of her tight curls. "You are very pretty as well." Olivia told him, "I like your list. And your booth."
"My name is Olivia!"

Zar arrived at Lyr's booth and investigated what was on offer. He wasn't normally one for flowers or colour as a general rule, but sometimes there were exceptions. He found himself drawn primarily to a crown made of roses that some people seemed to have avoided because of the obvious danger of getting their head pricked by thorns. He didn't seem to care as he picked it up and twined it around his horns, admiring the results in the surface of the pond. Yes this was a most acceptable free perk. Lyr's proposals also seemed like good solid ideas that would benefit the general student populace, he made some good points and seemed on the whole to want to improve things around the school.
Next up was the minipets, which he looked over one by one with interest. He wasn't really a responsible minipets owner, most of the creatures he had lived in his room and survived on their own merits and wits. Still, free was free and he tried his luck, finally choosing his favorite out of the gathered minis, opting perhaps out of vanity a little, for the one with wings.
Lastly, he checked over the suggestion box - which he approved of, one always wanted to know the feedback of one's future constituents - and decided to add his own input into the mix, because he was Zar, and complaints and suggestions were a habit that was hard to break.
I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY
Student Name: Zar Notes: I think that it would be of most ready benefit if each new student was provided with a small starter orientation pack to inform them of where the relevant places are on campus, mentions the more important terminologies (for instance to be aware of hunters and impromptu haunted house appearances) and other important factors. Perhaps some manner of biweekly club where new students can air their concerns and receive support from their peers. I spent a large portion of my first year without a clue what was going on, and I do not feel this was due to any malignant intentions from the administration.

Sorrow followed a pleasant smell, not of food, but-
"Woah." She picked up one of the crowns, inhaling. The one she was holding had a gentle, ghostly smell. Less chemical than perfume. Natural. But it wouldn't last, huh? Like anything else that got picked, it couldn't stay fresh. Everything had a price.
She put the crown down.
The t-shirts weren't like that. They were advertisements, and the booth owner didn't even like, wear a shirt. But it was new clothes. It would help the shirt she had wear out slower.
There was also a suggestion box. There was the same boil who had been at the other booth. She watched what he was writing.
"That's like, a good idea..." It would help her.
She added her own, in loopy handwriting. I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY
Student Name: Sorrow Notes: Better food in the cafeteria. Or just any kind of food, really. She wanted to try the food from the shops, in the windows. She wished there was some way the school could get that food. Or at least let them taste it.
