It wasn't just the ghost that seemed unwilling to let the other go, Junko had wrapped herself around him, clinging, as if she expected him to disappear on her. Which he had no plans of doing. He'd thought they were beyond this, that there was no going back, no fixing what they had, but she regretted their parting, and she wanted to try again, it was more than he'd dared to hope for. Everything had gone so horribly wrong it had seemed utterly irreparable, but maybe not. Maybe it would make them stronger.
When he felt her head moving he'd shift so he could look down at her as her parted and green eyes peered up at him. He offered her a gentle smile, dragging his nails lightly over her arm before she claimed his hand and brought it up to hold against the pouting lips.
When she mentioned the tea he couldn't help it, he chuckled. "That's alright, I think we can fix it later. If not, it's just tea." Despite having not eaten anything all day, the boil wasn't feeling especially hungry anymore. He really didn't want to move, and if the weight of the arm he curled around the ghoul was any indication, he didn't want her to move either.

Despite her words Junko made no move to actually get up or even release the hand she was holding. She kissed his knuckles, nuzzling her cheek against his hand. She fell quiet again, thinking. "...Can we fix everything?" Junko eventually asked in a soft voice, green eyes gazing up at him again. Her hair moved completely off her face now. Her expression was hopeful, almost pleading.

Could they fix everything? Honestly Seiji didn't know, but he really hoped so. Her cheek was warm against his knuckles, and he'd almost forgotten how easily she fit against his body, her small frame cuddling in as close as she could. "I'd really like to try." He watched her, taking in the tone of her voice, the pleading in those emerald eyes.

His answer brought the biggest smile to her face in a long time. "Me, too.."

She had a beautiful smile. It had him grinning back, and he'd lay a kiss on her brow again before settling back comfortably.
The rest of the evening was relaxing. At some point they extracted themselves from the couch and had an early dinner of muffins and reheated tea. He didn't remember what movie they watched, if it was a movie. Honestly he wasn't paying much attention to it, focus all on the ghoul that had made herself comfortable cuddled against his chest the second he'd sat down again.
When the ghoul started to doze of he wasn't surprised. Not only had she had a long trip home, but they'd had quite the emotionally exhausting afternoon. Wordlessly he slid his arm beneath her knees, lifting her gently so he could carry her down the hall to her bedroom. The minis were all still curled together, but he managed to nudge them all over enough to get the blanket pulled down.
Resting a knee on the edge of the bed he placed her gently on the sheets and pulled the blanket up around her shoulders, tucking it in around her. It occurred to him, as he straightened, that he could probably slid in beside her and hear no protest, but if they were going to try to make things work he didn't want to rush anything. They both had wounds that needed to heal, and they were definitely going to need to have an actual talk. So he bent and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek.
Wrapped around Momo, Hikari looked too content to move, so he left her there, sure Junko would take care of her until he could come fetch her again.
After that he let himself out. Intent to call her again the next afternoon, unless she called him first.
