To whom it may concern,My sister and I traveled to the Celestial Plane with Mother and our uncle Lithian. Father couldn't come, of course, but we were given special permission to meet with Ysaride 'despite' being born of two races. They stopped us at the portal in spite of our clearance and mocked us, staring as though we were animals. Even Ysaride laughed when I suggested his land did not have enough of us.
I am not sure I want ever to return. I grow weary of being unwelcome everywhere I set my feet.

To whom it may concern,Despite the beauty of the Celestial Plane in its own, pristine way, I found its elegance almost suffocating when combined with the attitudes of the persons therein. It was a relief to leave it. Back out on the open ocean for the voyage home, I felt as though I could breathe again, though memories of our experiences prior tossed in my head, keeping me restless and awake into the long hours of night. Eventually, I gave up and headed above deck.
The ocean at night is a sight to behold. Stars like a great scattering of magic dust over an open sky larger than a mind can fathom and a great, dark sea that stretches nearly as endlessly in every direction. After some time alone, I woke my sister and ushered her above deck with me. After some cajoling, I persuaded her to swim, and she had me join her. It was an experience, certainly, and thrilling, until cut short by uninvited 'guests' that came over the sea for our ship.
I remember only a set few instances in my life to date where I felt quite so powerless as I did in the moment that I watched three peisio dragons holding my sister beneath waves multiple times taller than I. My magic was useless to me. Worse still than useless, perhaps. In my panic, I might well have killed her myself on accident had it not been for our uncle's timely rescue. I am ever grateful to him for that, though I daren't admit aloud how close I came to hurting her.
Thanks to his timely aid as well as my mother and the other adults, having been risen by the dragon attack, my sister and I were brought to safety back on the ship. My curiosity, though, drove me back up and I witnessed the fight itself, including the additional onslaught of aiskalas that followed. Their power entrances me. One day, I will wield it with a grace, precision and magnitude that dwarfs theirs by comparison, but for now I can only watch in envy.
In the aftermath of it all, however, despite the various degrees of 'excitement' in different areas, what stuck with me was the lingering fear for my sister. For the first time in many moons, we shared a bed as we once did when we were children. I wonder if it will be the last time it is ever so.

To whom it may concern,Father wasn't pleased with our midnight swim, of course, but all things taken into account I feel as though my sister and I got of easier, as a pair, than I would have had it been my own actions alone. Regardless, we were sentenced to no trifling amount of punishment, not least of which including mucking the stables. Magic is a handy thing in that regard.
It seems in the process, though, sometime in the in between Father attained a bow. When Akara touched it, it changed something in her magic, and she insists it 'spoke' to her. Being that, when I was younger, I recall at least the sensation of Eurielle communicating with me, I have no doubt she has imprinted as I knew she would: on a bow, as Father did.

To whom it may concern,Sister imprinted to her weapon. Father is of course wildly proud. I, for one, discovered that frozen grass is not as comfortable for bedding on as one might hope.

To whom it may concern,In perhaps the greatest show of direct defiance to Father's wishes that I've seen yet, my sister has found, hidden, and bonded to a khehora egg. I must admit, I am a touch envious of that connection. It would have been an intriguing thing to have such a creature - and with it that additional store of magic - at my fingertips, but alas, perhaps another time. Father will be thrilled.

To whom it may concern,Dysarrin doesn't appreciate my clan choice. But then, of course he doesn't. He appreciates few things of value, it seems, except perhaps me, though whether he 'appreciates' me is even debatable at times. At least he had the decency to admit he missed me over the winter. He also managed to grow - more - while we've been apart. Sometimes I wonder if his body will ever stop. Surely he is approaching fully grown by now? He's larger than my father.

To whom it may concern,I met a dovaa boy today in the library. He was pretty, but a strange sort; intelligent enough to make for decent conversation, I suppose. He was researching for a master of his from what I could tell and evoked my aid. I'm not sure quite why I helped him, other than curiosity to learn more of him in general and what he knows. Strangers are inherently valuable in that regard.
You never know what you might learn from them.
