Today's Activity— Recruiting

Vulpin crumbled up all of his flyers and huffed angrily. This wasn't getting anywhere! Why didn't these trolls understand the severity of what was happening in their home town? And why didn't they think he was cute? He leaned up against a building. Sly followed and started to lick his hand as a sign of affection. Vulpin folded his arms.

[ Sinter / Intelligence: 15 + 4

Hanging out around the base and organizing paperwork was fine and dandy as far as Sinter was concerned. However, there were times in which he wished he was a little better at information-gathering out in the field. He just wanted to be able to justify taking walks into town. Unfortunately his bells and dapper attire weren't exactly subtle.

Perfection. Tamiya had gotten into the swing of things. Her blood offered her more pull than her companions, and recognition by the higher-ups (whether forced or out of actual merit) felt good. She made herself at home, and finally became acclimated to the base. Tamiya began to write elegant script on the back of her recruitment posters in the meantime. Perhaps some poor lost soul would find their way - if not with the royalists, then with the juggalos.

Cerise - Demolition (12 )

She sure loved to break things. It was pretty sweet just getting the chance to kinda do whatever, without a busybody telling her what to do! Well, she had to obey commanding officers but they weren't paying attention to her right now!! It was just her and this little highblood, breakin stuff.

Eostre - Intelligence (9)

She hoped Tierte wasn't doing anything weird... After all, it would probably fall on her if anything happened to her dear, sweet moirail, and she'd need to take responsibility for the crazy redblood. Maybe she'd go and check up on her, just to be sure she wasn't planning anything...

Tierte Iromok - Construction (17)

Another day, another paranoid plot...

Tierte was frantically analyzing all the blueprints she collected, looking for a way to prove that they weren't really for buildings, but instead some sort of death-machine built by the highbloods. If they were hiding it, she would find it! Maybe she'd have to ask for help from the blueblood, because she knew about spy hiding things... Then again, she was one of them.

Where did the horrors of the hemospectrum end?

      ∞ Ephias Sagine

Activity: Construction ( 18 )

Suddenly, Ephias found that moving the pipes was much easier! Perhaps it was because of the orangeblood's inspiring presence. Or perhaps it was because he had picked up the lightest of the lot.

OoC: Rest of the post to follow because of some silliness that happened.

“Of course!” she said proudly, carrying the pipe to the vehicle.

Incidentally, that was where her sack of stuff was going – how about that.

“I am Keionx Rutace.” she said. She couldn't remember if she had introduced herself yet or not. “Knight in-training. A squire if thou prefer.” she hefted another load of pipes easily onto her shoulders, “Art thou serving our great empire too?” she grinned proudly. “Though...” she noted, “This may not be thy calling...” she noted, watching as he messed with the smaller pipes. “Hast thou thought about doing...” she gestured with her free hand to the young trolls at the blueprints – one of whom looked very familiar. “That?”

On second thought, she didn't want to recognize the heinous theif from before... egg stealer... it would interfere with her knightly duties and if the theif was here, there was a chance that they were working for the greater good of the Alternian empire.

Which was good.

Keionx shot her a suspicious glare anyway.

Getting up and moving about had been a great idea for getting rid of that ever-growing boredom, even if in the end Etsali hadn't accomplished much. She wasn't exactly the strongest troll about and it only took a single glance to tell that apparently. But she'd carried a few small things and now she was ready to return to her important mission! She thought she could handle it for a little while longer now. With an apologetic grin to the troll in charge of overseeing blueprint analysis for leaving so suddenly, the little thief slipped back into an empty chair and leaned forward to peer at the sheets spread out on the table.

She'd only been at it for a few minutes when she first felt it, that uneasy sensation of being watched. She could practically feel the eyes on the back of her head and she tensed at the feeling. Slowly, gradually, the orangeblood stretched in her seat, then twisted to glance around as if she was just taking a little break from what she was looking at. Eyes scanned the many trolls milling about as she did so and then there it was. Recognizing the troll behind the glare almost immediately, Etsali blinked. Ahh, that might not be good at all.

As she attempted to decide whether this was a 'I'm gonna get revenge' sort of glare or more of a 'I don't like you because you stole my eggs, but I'm not really gonna attack you' thing, Etsali's eyes drifted just slightly. Just enough to find another familiar face. Oh, that was unexpected. Glancing back and forth between Ephias and Keionx, she finally just shrugged and decided they probably weren't gonna cause her any trouble.

Then, with a mischievous little smile, she lifted a hand and waved at them.

It was with gladness that Alifax returned to his favorite hobby: poring over maps. He wasn't really cut out for outright destruction, he thought.

Or, well, he was; he simply wasn't...into it, and he also didn't really want to watch far too energetic little trolls bickering loudly. But there were plenty of trolls on the demolition force, so he'd assigned himself somewhere he figured he'd be far more appreciated the next night. It was time to pore carefully over these maps, identifying the places that were likely to have been rebel bases...and the places that might become new ones. Did Alifax feel any guilt?

Perhaps he might have - but those who joined the losing team deserved what was coming to them. Alifax had already made the decision to survive.

Demolition - Atiqua

After having a gound round of blowing things up, the teal blooded troll had found herself in the possession of one very large, very spiked hammer. At first she thought it a meat tenderizer just larger. Which it kind of was. Except rather than meat she was tenderizing buildings.

She liked to pretend it was the faces of trolls who'd cheated her in the past when she swung and hit things, very therapeutic you know.

      ∞ Ephias Sagine

Activity: Construction ( 18 )

The orangeblood introduced herself as Keionx. She claimed to be a knight in training or rather a squire. Ephias was not quite sure what to make of that. “Er... I don't... have a pre-preference?” he said, sounding confused. “Anyway, I'm Ephias. Thanks again for your help.”

Keionx then went on to point out the obvious: Ephias was having difficulties. His bafflement quickly turned to irritation. “You mean the b-blueprints?” He asked, trying not to look annoyed. It was a only a partial success; he looked no more annoyed than usual. His stutter was stealthily creeping in though in higher effect. “I d-did help with them before but today I-I wanted to work out-outside of my comfort zone. If I never ch-challenge myself how can I ever expect t-to improve?” They were bold words for someone as riddled with self-doubt as Ephias was.

He was so impassioned that he missed Etsali's friendly wave all together. He dropped the pipes into the back of the freightwagon with a clatter.

OoC: I'm trying to avoid interactions with Etsali as Ephias right now as we have another RP going and I have no idea what their relationship will be by the end of it; just a heads-up. If you want to jump to the next day or activity, that's fine with me!

Recruitment

Tonight was the night: the posters had been printing through the day, and Dictys eyed the gleaming stacks of paper that greeted em greedily. Right - it was time to divvy them up. (Of course, Dictys had never planned to paper the planet emself!)

Ey was, if nothing else, honest, and the printing runs for all the variations of the poster were identical. If ey couldn't win fairly, why count it as a win at all? So with that in mind, ey divided the glossy bits of paper into population-proportionate stacks, and sent them on their way. "What's next?" ey asked. That had been almost easy!

Oh. Of course - networking! Dictys had chosen eir task well.

Larque Skopos

Activity: Intelligence

Larque huddled behind a wall as he eavesdropped on a small gathering of trolls in the alleyway beyond him. The little group certainly didn't seem to be up to any good, but their discussion seemed to be hinged only around thievery and looting, rather than slowing down military progress. Once they had retreated into one of the nearby dilapidated buildings, he marked the spot on his map before fleeing back to his lusus, who was waiting nearby. He was sure someone would want to know about them...

Alifax was returning, happily, to his maps today. This he liked more than...well, more than most things. Of course, they'd stationed him, funnily enough, in a place rather far from the intelligence headquarters: he was sitting by the exit to the construction task assignment building, at a table that clearly looked makeshift. His maps were spread about the table.

The reasoning, he supposed, was that lowbloods never caught anyone's notice: and of course, lowbloods out of uniform, using tables with shoddy construction and obvious impermanence, loitering about in a place like this...well, they looked like people who might be sympathetic to a rebellious ear. Yet strangely, the Alternian army was more than aware that Alifax was far from rebellious, and they'd tasked him with, well, multi-tasking. The maps were his secondary task tonight, really - the first was taking note of the symbols and physical descriptions of any trolls who approached him, or walked by him complaining...

And Alifax, of course, would do just that.
