Luka looked at his brother, ready to take him to the training spot where he would show Shiro some of the Fredrick clan. He hoped that through this training , his brother would find a new appreciation for his clan. Luka and Shiro were almost out of the door when his phone rang. He wanted to ignore it but something within him told him that he should answer. His red eyes flashed is shock "Shiro, I hate to interrupt this training we were going to have but we must returt to headquarters.

Shiro felt mixed feelings about Luka’s announcement. On one hand he was glad that training had been cut short. On the other hand he really didn’t want to go to a meeting with all the Quincys present. That was sure to be a disaster. Most of them didn’t like him because of his father and, barely tolerated him because of his brother. No one really saw him for him. It annoyed Shiro. However he was really glad that training had been cut short. Shiro knew he couldn’t let Luka know that.

So Shiro just shrugged and said, “Whatever. Where is it?” He did his best to seem disinterested, “Why don’t you lead the way. I’ll follow.”

That about summed up Shiro’s life right about now. Luka lead the way and Shiro followed. That was just the way it had to be. As a half-breed it was safer for Shiro to just keep his head down in the Quincy world. As soon as he was a registered vet he was leaving and, he wasn’t coming back. That was another thing Shiro would never tell Luka. There was a lot Shiro would never, ever tell Luka.

Exit to wherever the meeting is.
