For one single moment, Maebe felt the disorienting agony of feeling Lucky's head resting on her shoulder, and she tensed up tightly, and stared down at his hair. Shiloh pulled away before she could push him away, but the damage had been done, and Maebe was left looking just a little more broken than she had been a moment before. She left the crass comment unanswered, and just sat down on the other edge of the bed. They were going to talk, and it would give her time to forget that something about that moment had hurt.

"You don't?" He asked, and restrained himself from saying 'why not'?. "Well good for you, but I get squicked out by it. Ain't changin' just cause you don't do the same." He kept his arms crossed, hoping this was one of those half day or 24 hour bugs the island always got. "No. Once I got out of the Infirmary, Maebe was the first person I ran into." He remained standing, letting them sit awkwardly apart on the bed.

Maebe was suddenly quiet, something that would normally have never gone unnoticed by Shiloh. But with bigger fish to fry at the moment, he pushed Lucky's bangs out of his eyes and looked up at Otto. "Fair enough, I guess, can't blame you when Maebe had to put it that way." He sighed a little, sparing her only a glance before pulling a knee up and wrapping his arms around it while he tried to think. Otto didn't have anymore answers than he did, and the situation was still beyond bizarre. He kept catching himself staring at his body, quickly looking away as soon as he realized it. "I haven't seen anyone either," he announced, staring pointedly at a spot on the wall. "Everyone was gone by the time I woke up, or at least, none of you guys were in the infirmary. Ian cleared things up for me after I tried to kiss him, and then I was on my way here after that, 'cause Quinn's room is just across the hall but he's not there... And then I figured I'd go looking for your room next but you so graciously decide to make that job a bit easier... What was all that anyway? That figure, and the little girl behind him? And what on earth is that?" His voice rose a couple decibels with his last question, having just caught sight of a strange mark on 'his' arm.

"Wow." She was back to her old self, and nobody was the wiser. "I feel so special." Maebe flopped back down on the bed, her arms lying stretched out behind her. She peeked over to look at his arm, and then flopped back down again. "It's a dark mark, dumbass." She informed him. "You're a deatheater now, Harry."

"Maybe they're all hidin'. That's what I was gunna do." But Maebe happened. Otto's brows lifted as Shiloh in Lucky's body squeaked. He looked at the mark again, and shrugged. "It's what sealed the deal, I guess. Y'remember, right?" It would be outrageous if what happened to him didn't happen to everyone else. "We get a wish. Guess this is so we never ********' forget." He gave Maebe an apathetic look for her commentary.

"Thanks for the update, Hermione," he shot back, reaching over to give her leg a little pinch. Then he held out Lucky's arm and sure enough the mark was there too, clear as a bell. "I'd been trying not to," he said, when Otto mentioned remembering it, but as soon as he did the entire event came flooding back, neatly packaged in the form of a headache brought on by confusion. "Why a wish, why us? What exactly did you touch?"

Maebe pulled her leg away fast, unamused by the touch of Lucky's fingers on her body, causing pain. She decided sitting next to Shiloh wasn't her best idea at the moment, and crawled away to the other side of the bed, diving back into the box of treats. She found herself a box of chocolates, and ripped it open, squeezing each one to find the fillings she liked.

Otto grimaced. He should probably tell them. After all, he wasn't one to touch things halfheartedly like Kostya. "It... it was a little black marble. I woke up with it in my hand when I woke up from a... maybe short coma. Thing." He'd found himself in the infirmary for whatever reason. He assumed he must have passed out during a work shift in order to end up there. "Before I'd woken up, I had a dream. I think it was a dream. Death was there, and he told me there was a shard in my heart, and that I was gunna die. But... before I could accept it, he asked if I wanted a way out. So... I made a deal with him." Otto made a face of disgruntlement at Maebe as she sorted through chocolates. "Dude, you're ruinin' all of them. Ain't those things got like.. picture guides?" He huffed lightly. "Anyway... I made a deal in exchange for my life, that I'd deliver a message when the time was right. I woke up with that marble. I barely blinked and it was gone, and instead my artifact was in it's place." s**t, this meant one of those clowns with his body had his artifact shades.

"A shard in your heart? Like one of those red things His Highness and everyone else has been after? Shiloh watched Maebe retreat, wondering what was up with her. "If you're going to be anti-social, at least toss me a chocolate you jerk," he teased her, before turning back to Otto. "So that was Death, huh, I mean I guess, yeah, he was but he's not someone I've really ever seen before. Still kind of hard to believe there's actually a Death. And now we've all got a death wish." The pun was unavoidable but Shiloh grimaced rather than grinned, at a bit of a loss. "So did he give you a message? Or was the marble the message? Do any of the others know?"

A shard in his heart.Maebe stopped squeezing chocolates when she heard that, and looked very unhappily interested in their conversation for the first time. Otto told her off for her chocolate abuse, and she picked up one, and slowly wrapped her fist around it, destroying it in response. She was going to have some words for him, when Shiloh was done and they left. To Shiloh, she tossed the empty box. Right over his head.

"Yeah, one of those. At least that what he made it sound like." He wondered if it was still there, or if it had been taken out at some point while he'd been out. There were a lot of things he wondered, and wanted to ask for help with. The shard. The key. A wish. He winced when Maebe threw the box. Maybe she was in a mood... "Yeah, but he was supposedly defeated by Medea back at that large scale mission." So why did he show up again? Maybe it was easier done than done to kill Death. He was, after all, an Ancient. "Um.. kind of." Otto's borrowed brows knit in thought as he tried to recall that dream. "He wanted some items delivered to certain people.. but he never named names. He specifically gave me some kinda small gold case. He said uh... to just bring it home, and the message would be delivered eventually... or somethin'..." "...and then he gave me a chocolate bar." He stared. "I ate the whole thing." But according to Rep on Twitter, that seemed to be a thing Death did. Rep ate some, and turned out just....fine?

Shiloh watched the box sail past, not surprised in the least that it was empty. He had, after all, interrupted her and on top of it, was having a considerably unpleasant conversation with her current love interest. “Well, I mean, it has to be pretty hard to kill Death Death, you know? Like wouldn’t that throw everything out of whack?” He had admittedly very little experience with the ancient, and if he was honest, even less so with the horsemen aside from what little they’d seen in combat. Even in matters concerning Halloween, he’d fallen behind, having been endlessly chasing more human threats. “A gold case… Do you still have it? Did you deliver the items… Well, I guess you couldn’t, not without names… Was there anything in the case?” Full of questions, Shiloh continued without skipping a beat. “What happened after you ate the chocolate?”

"He turned into a princess." Maebe scoffed out, waving her hand at Otto's current body with a callous reminder. "A princess who still doesn't tell their girlfriend important things like when he has a shard inside of his heart." She was huffing. And eating all the chocolate. Keep talking, maybe she'd get fat.
