At the point, it looked as if Shanahan was just looking to break Bad Boy. The crowd was in an uproar for the brute show of brutality on the smaller challenger. The momentum in this match had been turned around drastically, and not a soul seemed to be enjoying The Storm's turn of the tides.
Matt's pace over to the downed Bad was slow after the harsh throw into the barricade. Once in close quarters, Matt brought a massive hand down and attempted to grab Bad by his hair once more to drag him up to his feet. Should he succeed, he'd simply try to roughly toss Bad Boy back into the ring before the referee could make any other actions.

Bad was pulled, some blood puddling on the ground. He got to his feet, with his head leaning back with the camera catching a good look at his face, now the right side of his face covered in blood. He got dragged and thrown forcefully into the ring, catching the ropes with his leg. The momentum still forced him to roll to his back near the ropes, staying there still trying to recover.

The Storm was quick to follow after Bad, sliding into the ring and throwing himself on top of the man. It looked like Matt was going for an early win! Was it a show of mercy, or a show of disrespect? That would be up to the audience to decide.
Judging by the boos, they saw it as the latter.

Bad was down, Matt on top of him for the pin!
1!.....2!...
Bad had saved enough of his energy to throw his shoulder up at two and a half. For now, that's probably the majority he was capable of doing in the match, as he dropped back down to the mat.

Matt pushed himself up to his knees and stared right at the referee in response. There were no harsh words or signs of impending violence, just a cold, hard stare. Because of that man, Bad Boy would get no mercy from Shanahan at this point.
The Storm strolled across the ring after he got up and ran his fingers through his hair, slightly staining his black locks with the blood on his gloves. After reaching the opposite side of the ring, he ripped at the leather of his gloves and yanked them off, tossing them out into the crowd. Underneath were his taped up knuckles and wrists, the only protection on his hands now! He was finishing this match bare-knuckled! He gave Bad Boy his time to recover, remaining on his side of the ring. The fans were hating the pace so far, but Matt showed no signs of caring. This match wasn't for them.

Bad threw his arm over so that he had enough momentum to move his body down to his chest. His blood pouring off his face little by little. He took his breaths as Matt was taking off the gloves, and it was if he went deaf as the crowd was silent knowing what was going to happen next to the man who's state was home to him. He slowly pushed his way up to his feet, facing The Storm.

Matt flexed his fingers against the tape as he turned to face his slowly rising opponent. Instead of going right on the offense, The Storm raised his fists up into his classic brawling stance, ushering Bad Boy over once he was on his feet. Was the Champion signalling for a brawl?!

Bad took one deep breath before putting his arms up, feeling like he was carrying 20 pound weights along with his arms. He shot forward looking to throw a right hand, completely off balanced.

As Bad's wild swing came in, Matt pushed it by and side-stepped away from the man. The fans went into an uproar over the dodge, as it seemed like The Storm was messing with his prey before finishing it! He had yet to swing a punch, seemingly waiting for Bad to make another move.

Bad stumbled forward and bounced into the ropes, stumbling back up and turning back to Matt. He slowly moved forward and went to throw another right hand towards Matt, off balance again but not with as much force.

Another right hand, another miss. The Storm pushed yet another blow by with his left hand, but this time he seemed to change his plan all together. His right hand came rocketing forward, aiming to hit Bad square in the mouth with his bare knuckles!

Bad was caught right in the mouth, and fell to his right side to the mat. He rolled himself to his stomach and tried to push himself back up, though it was twice as slow and not as steady.

The cheap shot to the mouth was not well received by anyone in the audience, but this didn't deter Matt from his dirty tactics. "C'mon!" He could be heard roaring at Bad as he backed up a step to give the man space, waiting for him to retaliate once more. If he even could.

Not sure if that might've woken him up, or pissed him off to the point where he was ready, but he bawled his fists up tighter. This time he went again for a hard right hand, off balanced, though it seemed like he had a plan.

Before the swing even came in close, Matt figured it would be another right. He dodged the fist once more by grabbing man's arm and pulling him towards the Champion. Matt moved to the side as he did, and attempted to whip Bad fiercely across the ring! As he did, he would take a moment to pause before running after him, ready to end this assault with a final move!
