RosyRosy wasn’t sure why she was sitting at the table, seeing as it was empty and all. She sighed and rubbed her temples, trying to remember why she was even here. Something was fading but she couldn’t quite get a grasp on what.
She remembered her cousin, he’d been a good boy – a bit slow – but good. Then one day he’d dropped a vial of very rare potion ingredients and his mother had turned on him, beating him hard… and then he’d…
He’d what?
She couldn’t quite recall. She’d never seen him around after that, or a few other of her cousins who had upset their mothers particularly badly. She shivered as she felt a chill, things seemed more distance, hazy.
It was a strange feeling, but she couldn’t recall what had happened to a lot of her cousins… Or her father, she’d remembered he’d said something to their mother one day then…
He’d just vanished…
Just like the rest of the world was doing.
She shook her head, closed her eyes and tried to focus, but everything seemed to haze out around her.
Then she sat up with a gasp as she woke.------ KasjaThe table was empty, but that wasn’t too unusual to Kasja. She often sat alone when she wanted to think. She wasn’t quite sure what she was thinking about though. She chewed her bottom lip for a moment, running a finger along the back of her blade as she lost herself in thought.
Her family, where had they gone? She remembered leaving them for training and then coming back to find them… gone… She couldn’t for the life of her remember where her mother, father and brother went. She remembered she'd learned that they had…
They had… something.
Maybe gone on a long trip, or something equally silly it wasn’t like they’d been expecting her back from training any time soon and she didn’t fault them for it… She couldn’t really recall where they had gone – they had just… gone.
The room began to grow hazier, but Kasja was so lost in thought she didn’t notice until she was no longer sitting at a table… She looked around, confused.
Then she blinked – and woke with a small start.------ XyraXyra rolled her shoulders and placed her elbows on the table as she rubbed her hands together. She wasn’t sure why she was here, but it was quiet and she could appreciate that fact. It was a strange kind of silence though, a bit unsettling.
Like the time she and Kiera had gone with their brother Vito on an errand, he’d told them to stay outside, he’d gone into the store, gotten the required items and had walked out, only to be grabbed by another demon and pulled into the shadows. Kiera and Xyra had of course, snuck closer to see what was going on.
Vito had been talking quickly to the two other demons, trying to explain something, but they didn’t listen, they dug their claws into him and they… they… Xyra really didn’t remember what they’d done, or what had happened to Vito. He hadn’t run home with them, Xyra remembered her and Kiera running as fast as they could home crying.
Why had they been cry? Had Vito and the other demons teased them? She couldn’t remember… But Vito never came home, he’d never show up again – it was like he’d just gone with those other… demons…
She winced and rubbed her temples, gently kneading the base of her horns with her fingers as the room faded and solidified only to vanish entirely.
She blinked for a moment, completely lost, lowering her head into her hands.
She lifted her head, blinked a few times and woke.

He sat at the table, polished clean, and looked at the clean silverware wrapped in a napkin and the slightly water-spotted cup beside him atop it's saucer. Overall, it was a nice place, complete with the clang and clatter of silverware and people enjoying their meals and conversations. While no one knew him here, it was nice to feel surrounded by people, included in this world, yet left alone.
He looked across the table to look at the empty seat and felt a longing for company. Eating alone was nice when you just wanted to take a breather, but he liked conversation, but he couldn't recall why he came here. Was he waiting for someone to join him – or had someone already left him.
As he stared at the booth, he thought of Rin, knowing he most likely was waiting for the woman. He didn't know many other people, and considered the battle with the broken world. It was much nicer here in the booth, and he must have dozed off to be thinking about the battle to being here.
He remembered the battle and how the moment he arrived to the top of the tower, he had been thrown into fire. When he felt even a small swelling of victory that he managed to crawl his way out when experiencing a pain he never felt before, he had been useless on the field again. He had thought that after many months of training and research, he would have been more capable and educated to be more useful to his friends, but he had only gotten hit hard and thrown down in mere moments sicne arriving. His stomach sank as hit own inadequacies, and he wondered now if ti wasn't just a matter of learning or doing better, but simply a fact he wasn't cut out to fight. That he ultimately was more of a hindrance that got underfoot to those actually making a difference than being of any use.
In the end, Rin had arrived to guard him and Rep, and Melvin took a small amount of comfort to know that even the massive Sun had fallen for a moment. Rin had been there though, protecting them both. The three of them, a close knit group of friends, alongside in the battlefield.
And then he felt his stomach grow small, colder, and he stared at the empty plate as it slowly started to fade away.
She had been there, watching over them, turning over to look at him, when the red blast came. It was strange now, when he remembered it, how easily a body could be torn apart. She still managed to kneel there, but her body was missing like someone punching out a Jenga piece, and the hole had those red rays of light from the other side traveling through. It was like her insides were glowing with that destructive light.
And she knelt there, tittering in her balance, looking at him but she didn’t say anything. He wondered what she would have said if she could. What would her final words be? She had fallen then, upon him, and remained there. She hadn't moved, and he had to put her beside him, a smashed jigsaw puzzle of parts. She had the worst luck when it came with limbs, having lost the other, and her tablet had fallen there beside her.
The world continued to dissolve around him. The diner clatter faded away.
Rin had gone blue and around her was a pool of Red. There had been a smell too – one he never smelled before, and even though his clothes were coated and soaked, he didn't feel messy.
He had just wanted Rin to look at him and say something.
Maybe he'd just been too demanding wanting too much out of her when all she had ever done was give.

AJ
What's death? He only knew how to kill, blood gave him bliss and exhilaration, but that's all. The concept of death never get to him, at least in his real life. He could heartlessly watching someone losing their lives but got excitedly and asked for more because of the blood immersing from the bodies. Their mourns or grieves didn't catch him since his heart had bee shattered to countless pieces by his parents and people.
That was the boil named AJ.
CLICK.
"So~ It's over?" The boil asked.
He was in the air, enjoying all the violence carried on the battlefield with his wings widely spread open, and then everything was swallowed by the darkness.
AJ crossed his legs and support his tilted head with one of his lift-up arm. "I guess so." There was no one opposite to him at the table, he chuckled. "Oops. I guess I was talking to myself, how weird and silly." He changed the position of his leg, one top and another bottom. The boil didn't forget the strange emptiness. "Strange? I didn't remember how I get to this table?" He tic-tac his tongue, sweeping within his mouth, he seemed to remember tasting something. "Weird....but interesting." The boil leaned his back comfortably against the chair. He felt someone should be with him since it was a table for two, but he didn't really care for that. What he did was trying his best to recall the meal as it was a shame not able to remember the good tastes of the food, maybe it was an awful meal but at least he wanted to recall that.
AJ didn't really experience death in his short life surprisingly, not that he didn't witness one, but they were of no importance to him. In the past, he only cared about his Shishou after he gave up his family. However, she was such a living figure, like immortal existence. AJ adored her as the opposite sex but no more. There was a smile on his face when he recalled everything of her, the time he preferred to spend with her instead of wasting in school. He would forever remember the rainy day she found him in a dark alley, when the sunlight after rain shone through the darkness with her grin. He was beaten on the wet ground and panting, that was something he unexpected. With a pair of shocking and recalcitrant eyes, he glared at her who bent down, hands on hip and teasing. Jacking! That was how they met and she never lose to him once.
Yet, she wasn't always with him. When she was gone, he reverted to type - the emo violent kid. People blamed him for taking other's lives so easily, his parents' apology didn't make him regret any. The lost of life was meaningless to him, it was their faults to be that weak yet irritated him. He looked at them with the coldest expression. It was like that, the only one who can heat him up was his Shishou.
Then, everything changed.
After his Shishou left for a long trip, he gave up and put his gamble to the school that his parents recommended. He treated it as an escape but it turned out to be something more. He realized the concept of friend there. First, it was Head who attracted by the flare, but he found his exaggerate reaction very funny. That's Andrew, a grumpy fire demon that he called a friend. Then, it was a shy ghoul that he attempted to talk with under a blind date. She was timid, stumbling most of the time but she was adorable and he enjoyed taking care of her. That's Maple, a witch that he felt the need to protect at his best. He enjoyed every moment staying with them, irritating Andrew or teasing Maple to make her blush, they called them out for time killing, but they never reject.
Thus, a friendship development naturally and unconsciously, out of his expectation. He started to worry about them, hoping smile will be always on their faces. The two became something important in his life. With his Shishou's advice, he suppressed and locked up the beast of violence in the deepest place of his heart so that he could stay along with others at ease. Nevertheless how hard he tried, he started to have a fear. AJ was afraid one day the beast inside would tear his friends up, and his nightmare were surrounded by people mocking at his weaknesses and the death of his friends by his hands. It became an important concept in his soul gradually.
The concept of Death.
At the table, he tried to recall the days he spent with those who were important to him, but no matter how deep he thought, the nightmares that hurt his heart was blank out, the same for his emotions. The blood was there, the corpses were there and he was smiling wickedly on his throne made of bones. Below the stairs of his throne was a giant pool of blood and a carpet completely absorbed the blood lain perfectly on it. There were a single of bat-like wing in his claws but the someone was erased, as if crossed over thousands of time by a black ball pen, he should feel painful and unforgiving of himself because that was a - friend. That was ████ - and in his memory there was the corpse in black with her heart missing - he yelled her name - " ████!" and collapsed on the blood pool desperately fisting, and it slowly turned into a hysteric laughing.
What - why - As if someone was stealing his memories bit by bit, like invisible mist taken from his brain - he forgot their existences, there was only him in the dreams - as if acting a one-man show, the only audience was himself. He tipped the table with a finger, indolently looked at the further front without anyone. An annoying expression rarely seen on his face. "Something - well - I don't know but I hate the feeling - the emptiness and it freezes my heart -" The boil frowned, closed his eyes to clear himself of any broken memories. "That had been a nice meal, I guess, though I forgot anything about it......thank you." He stood up, putting his hands in the pockets. "But -" He turned around, back pointing the empty table for two. "-I guess I have to go now, I miss them."
-----
There was an urge telling him to leave even he forgot about it.
If his partner for the meal had left, so should he.
And -
-never return.

ShuAs if a movie was finished, everything was quiet. No more yelling or weapon collision, no more heart throbbing and sobbing, it was silence. Her mind was cleared of anything and she felt a peaceful moment finally. It was jet black, as if at the start it had been like that. So she closed her eyes, trying to find herself within the endless peace. When she opened her eyes again, she was sitting at a table, a table for two but only she was there. She felt a piece missing when she looked at the empty seat......someone - someone was there. "A-A dinner? Maybe......" She mumbled. With who? Shu tried to recall, but all the memories about a him were gone, like they never exist before. The girl shook her head, nope, she won't be alone. As the loneliness swarmed her with fear, the once calm ocean within her agitated. "That's not right! That's not....right...He was there...Someone..." Refused to accepted that she was eating alone, the girl withered, laying herself onto the table, while staring at the emptiness opposite to her. She didn't forget the happiness and excitement for it, but she couldn't feel it anymore. It hurt, like an large piece of important piece being stolen. "I-I-.........." It was too painful that she dropped a tear without a reason. When it was quiet, she loved to think a lot of things, especially the one she loved and liked. Shu enjoyed the moment of surrounded by love even though she knew she didn't deserve it. Yet, it was as good as tasting desserts. Cheesecakes, strawberry shortcake, macaroons, donuts, lemon cupcake, Bûche de Noël, cookies with frosting. That was why she was fond of desserts, they made her feel good, the sweet taste washed the bitterness in her heart away. However, there was no desserts in front of her so she couldn't stop the bitter sensation to hit her.
Shu thought of her sisters and brother, her family. No matter how tired they were after work, they won't forget to give her a warm hug and told her that she was important to them, and without her they would be out of energy for the next day. They went shopping together, hand in hand, they showed her their love and she felt like her fragile injured heart was being wrapped up by some gentle feathers, brushing and soothing it all the time. It was so nice, too nice that she could bear with anything happened to her and wear the smile just for them.
They always asked a question: "Are you happy, my baby girl?" and then attacked her with snuggle like affectionate kitties. And - her answer would always be: "YES, because I am with you!" and hugged them with her small and short arms, beamed like a tiny sun. They were the most important in her miserable life. Her brother - closely followed in the ranking, for all the cuteness and things she requested him to do, he never say no to her. She was spoiled and loved.
Then, it was her birthday, a great day that the four planned to spend a wonderful day in the amusement park. Yes- it should be a great day if not - if not - if..........what happened.......? Shu touched her one side of her temples and found something was missing. The petite girl could remember that amazing day she spent with them, the giant candy floss that they shared, they putting animal ear headband on themselves and on her brother and the trio teased him for the most adorable in the world.......she screamed in happiness playing the roller coaster again and again....and-and more....She dragged her brother onto the merry-go-round and let him sat on the prettiest horse-
Memories were played like a nostalgic music box music, it was sweet but - broken. The discordance that ruined the lovely melody, it tainted the music that shouldn't be played in red. As if there was missing dots on one of the metal pieces, she couldn't remember what happened after the day. They went on a taxi, the sisters were sharing the photo they took with her in the middle while her brother flushed and told them to delete those embarrassing pictures of him - then - she saw something and cried out - and - and - the taxi turned and flipped - and then - the warmess - the blood - the - what happened next?..........it was like a novel with a suddenly blank white page, it was nothing there abruptly and it gave her a headache as she tried to recall it.
The D_ _ _ _ was missing, as if it never happen.
Her memories jumped to the part where she was saying - the girl in bandage and the girl who was sitting at the table had their voices went into a synchronization - "Ah. They went to a vacation." She falsed herself into a virtual song of memories that she went to celebrate her birthday with just her brother, she erased all the time she spent with her sisters and created the illusion that both of them went on a business trip separately. To make it more convincing, she even faked the memories that they talked on phone and they promise to bring her souvenirs when they came back.
All was fine.
. . . . . . .
All will be fine.
.
. . .
. . . . . . .
The splendid smile on Shu's face resembled that when she was in hospital, waking up to the bad news.
Why she was crying and smiling at the same time in the memory? Why they were not hugging and protecting her when her father slapped her? - ......... - Who were they? - ...... - She just had a brother that always protect her - what are those empty space in her memories? Who was she talking to? .....There was nothing!......?
Someone erased the existences of them from pages of the book written with her story, she felt detached from them like they was never there. She joined Deus for her beloved brother so that he might wake up from the coma after that horrible car accident.
With an aloof and icy cold face, the girl said ".....Ah.......it's time to go back.....go back to the island." Without missing anything, the girl left her seat and walked forwards the front soullessly, as if that was her final destination.
The table behind her vanished, nothing left.
Nothing was there since it started.----- The single dinner was over.
