Lock had quieted down. Had he lost the other reaper? He gave a light shrug and continued to press on, regardless. As Shun moved along, he kept one hand trailing against the wall at all times.

Lock shook his head, finally away from whatever that had been. "Shun?" he called, just in case. No response.
Lock wasn't sure if that was a good thing, but he continued walking the maze until he came to a dead end. Odd, he was sure he had heard ...
Well nevermind. No choice but to continue the other direction.

Space 4 (Event 6) => Space 6 (Event 2)Nkosazana was certainly unnerved, especially by the voices that she kept hearing echo in her ears. It was a relief to see a familiar face, as briefly familiar as it was. She already felt some kind of bond there, considering Mmur seemed to have more sense than the majority of Horsemen and their allegiances to a Head Priestess who had clearly lost her mind. If she was not certain of it before, her charging into the Tower confirmed that much for her. "I agree. I want to get out of here as soon as possible." She feared that wasn't going to be an option. When she moved forward, she began to hear the voices again. This time, the voice was familiar for another reason. It sounded like a voice from her youth, someone she used to be close to, whispering in her ear and mocking her. How could they -- how could they possibly know of her decision to separate herself from the other Priestesses in their decision to stick with Medea? That didn't seem right. They were gone now, and she knew that for sure... But the voices wouldn't stop. Smerdle Nkosazana has no close friends /tear

And thus, Shun continued to wander around. He felt like he was moving kind of aimlessly now. At some point, he paused and tried to get a feel for his bearings. After so many turns, it was hard to say for certain that he hadn't been going in circles or anything like that.

Eye moved through the darkness and as she moved along she began to hear strange babbling, which sounded like in attended her harm. She grabbed her scythe and held it at the ready, even though she wouldn't be able to see to fight even if there was something to fight. She moved slowly forward.

Space 7 (nothing) - > Space 8 (Event 3)The silence didn't last long. This time the voice that bubbled up around him in greeting wasn't garbled and didn't mock, at least not at first. It was the voice of someone Mmur had been longing to speak with for some time. It made him smile to hear it. "It's so good to find you. This is probably the worst place to do so, but I've been meaning to ask if I could—"The tall sage chuckled darkly, his tone quickly turning just as sour as everything else in this place. He began questioning Mmur faster than the soldier could reply, laying into his friends and family with a passion that felt wrong but still managed to hurt. Mmur longed to push his mentor away physically, but there was nothing there, so he clasped his hands over his ears instead, hurrying down the hall and away from the disembodied voice. Quote: EVENT 3: You hear a voice and it sounds exactly like a mentor you look up to. If this is not applicable you may choose a close friend. They begin to continuously mock you for your choice of friends and make you doubt your friends' loyalties towards you. The jests get worse the longer you linger in the room. Only you can hear them (though you may not realize it). Please do rp it out. This effect persists as long as you are in this corridor. Lock continued walking, when suddenly Shun's voice picked up.
"Even I'm not that trustworthy. I could kill you at any moment."
"Ah, you've returned. I'm well aware, and I admire that, actually," Lock responded. Quite frankly the madness was getting to him- Lock didn't really care if he was talking to the real Shun or not.
"He could kill you off so fast, especially now that Voodoo has turned on you."
Was that his voice? "She hasn't turned on me ... she just ... she just ..."

Moving on. Shun peered ahead in the darkness. For awhile now, it's been pretty quiet. Lock's voice had long since gone and he hadn't heard anything else since they got separated. It put him a little more on edge really, rather than set him at ease. Something felt like it was bound to happen.
"Look at you stumbling around in the dark. I should have known you would get lost. You'll probably be stuck there forever."
He paused. That was the voice of his father, mocking him. That in itself wasn't new but he knew the voice wasn't real. Kaitou had no business of being here. Still, he wasn't exactly happy to hear the older reaper's voice calling out to him like this.
"Pathetic. That's all you'll ever be. I only allow you to work under me so I can see you fail utterly."

There were turns she didn't even realize were ahead of her, there were a few walls that sprung up on her as well. Maple found herself leaning more and more into the wall she had first decided to travel against as she continued through the room - the maze? It was more comforting, she didn't dare to talk to anyone - least they actually not be there. She tried to tune out the voices all around her, ignore those that were mocking her.
She just went.

Shun gritted his teeth lightly as he could hear Kaitou continue to taunt him as he moved on through the darkness.
"Watching you struggle gives me pleasure. You act like you can handle everything. You can't. Not really. You'll fail to save yourself or anyone you care about."
The reaper did his best to ignore the voice. He pressed on until he was able to come into the light once more. He was out.

Chris stepped into the room, all geared up and ready to go, only to be stopped by the complete lack of light. He couldn't see a damn thing. There were whispers and murmurs around him, telling him there were others here, but he couldn't see anyone.
He couldn't just stop at the entrance though. He reached out to feel a wall and kept it to his left, brushing his fingers or shoulder along it to make sure he was heading in a single direction.
He kept going and going, until he hit a dead end and something...gurgled? He froze, standing to listen to the jumbled guttural sound near him. "Are you okay?"
The voice only answer back with more gargling and groaning. He almost reached out to find if something was there, but he didn't want to open himself up to getting attacked. He moved on instead.
