Oh, well that was just fantastic, not only was he a vampire, but a vampire with all of the powers and none of the weaknesses. Minty wondered if she'd ever sleep soundly again.

"Actually, yes. I can eat most human foods, though they don't provide nutrients and are just for pleasure...except Watermelon. Its unique status as a food with both Solid and Liquid properties alongside my natural love for it made it a viable substitute for blood. Not 100% though, as I still need blood from time to time, but as long as I don't overexert myself I can go months on Watermelon alone." Xashowd explained, genuinely happy to explain himself for the first time in years. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that Minty seemed uncomfortable and got a little worried, but he was mostly happy about Sciurus' curiosity, so he put it in the back of his mind for later.

Sciurus grew more intrigued by the minute. Undead and possibly immortal with a working digestive system? "There is a high sugar content to watermellon... Perhaps that is a factor. Is the blood required to be human? And is there an age limit?" He glanced at the chart by the door anxiously. The surgeon always made thorough rounds to check on his patients before ending his actual shift - although he would still be on call should emergencies arise- but this was an excellent research opportunity. Of course, he was also keeping Minty waiting for her food. "I will soon have to wander the hospital a bit. Two cases should have returned to their rooms by now."
(Don't mind me...I'll just be over here. Being afraid of vampires. It's cool)

The doctor had a lot of questions, and he had a point about the Watermelon sugar content thing (Xashowd had never thought of that before...he just loved the taste). Normally Xashowd's paranoia would have him wondering about Sciurus' intent, but he seemed more academically curious than anything else, so Xashowd was happy to oblige. "No, though my sense of smell lets me know if I can safely ingest a blood type or not. As for age limit...well, for living blood it's not a problem as long as it smells fine. Dead, though...preferably within 3 hours, before it's had a chance to cool or begin decomposition." He noticed the doctor was glancing in other directions and spoke of other patients. "Oh, sorry. You are a surgeon, so you do have obligations...my apologies if I've kept you from anything. Perhaps we can talk more another time?"

If the intercom goes off, then everyone's equally out of luck. Perhaps we could arrange something more proper, courtesy for you at least. It would be bad form, dragging you around the hospital with me."And perhaps maybe I can also obtain a blood sample while we're at it...

The surgeon hoped for Orrin's sake that he didn't. It was odd to have someone afraid of you before you've given them a reason to be. "Calm down, will you?" He told Minty "Your blood is your own for the rest of the night and I wouldn't allow that sort of thing anyway, even with consent." Sciurus took the chart from the wall, addressing Xashowd again. "I find interest in anything strange when it comes to physiology. I will return soon enough, Anyone with a morbid curiosity may join me if they wish." He started toward the door to finally make his rounds.

Xashowd noticed her nod, but the emotion he felt from her suggested anything but. He wanted to find out why, but he remembered her outburst from when he tried to do so with Daenes. His Curiosity wasn't an issue anymore, so he backed off, figuring it wouldn't be best to pry.
Still...What could be making her scared? Right now it was just the three of them in the room, and she'd seemed fine with the doctor...Then it hit him. He'd noticed her getting worried as he was mentioning his Vampiric traits.
Could she be scared of...him? Xashowd sighed. He was used to being feared because of what he was, but she'd been so nice...he felt bad for his heritage making her scared, but he'd been in this scenario before. It would be best to leave her be. Nothing he said right now would change her mind.

"I am calm." Minty managed through clenched teeth. Stern words and promises weren't really going to dispel her phobia in the matter of minutes. When she saw Sciurus was going to leave and Xashowd was going to stay, she put the magazine down.
"It might be morbid, but I am curious as to what your usual patients are like, doctor."
