Pale helpless eyes glanced up at Finn with equal parts relief and anxiety. Finn was a friendly face. A somewhat menacing, but friendly face. Oliver had indeed manned up somehow, got his a** out to the lighthouse, and even found friends. Sort of. Okay maybe he had just found someone familiar to boss him around, and that had to be a good start.

He was too nervous to even protest Finn's nickname, or the casual arm over his shoulder, but he wasn't too nervous to try and protest about the coffee. If he gave away Jack's coffee... He couldn't find words, he just kind of gaped uselessly.

Oh no. Mimsy noted that her attempt at lighthearted humor had not quite come across as lighthearted. She also noted that she should not have attempted lighthearted humor without feeling like she had a proper heart - really, that should have been a given.

"Not actually late! It was only a joke, referencing the white rabbit that Alice met. No need to worry, I assure you. We have plenty of time. We were not going to leave without you." She hugged her just a moment longer, since Shu seemed a bit shaken, then took her hand to tightly hold onto it instead. "And we will all be safe together now, all right?"

As she reached to take Robert's hand too, she realized that someone was speaking to them. She almost reflexively responded for him to follow them, as if he didn't know where the lighthouse was either - then she recognized him, and almost laughed again.

"Hello. Yes, just fine, now that we have located Shu." She held her hand up, bringing Shu's along with it, and opted out of commenting on the fact that she was feeling not fine at all over the fact that her comatose brother could not come with them. "Are you coming too? You are welcome to join us - we are on our way back to the lighthouse now. It seems that there are quite a few waiting there already."

Peyton had returned to her room and moved around in a stealthy rush to get everything together that she might need. Cami and loose top, usual shorts, knee highs and boots. She added a belted bag that strap around her hips and one thigh, and she'd stuffed runic bandages inside as well as any other first aid equipment she might have had on hand. She also added a small bottle of water, just in case.

A hasty kiss was pressed to Astrid's forehead, then the girl was headed for the door again, and grabbing a hoody off the hook beside it. She pulled it on as she hit the hall, and started jogging back the way she'd come.

<Really, is it wise to be leaving her here unguarded?>

She won't be unguarded, she's surrounded by other hunters. I can't take her with me. Her lip curled at the disapproval she felt radiating from the demon. I'm Sun, I'm front line. I need to stop this thing at the source before it get's bad. He didn't say anything after that, which was for the best.

She got America's text as she'd been crossing the field, and started running full out as she stuffed her phone into her back pocket. It was luck really, more than anything else, that let her spot the other girl before she'd passed her, and she slowed to a stop to duck into the shadows at America's side. "See anything yet?" It was a whisper, and she was already scanning the darkness, listening the sound of voices and movement further up the path and in the lighthouse itself.

Finn gave the smaller man a one armed squeeze before reaching out and attempting to snag the travel mug of coffee. He didn't even really like coffee all that much but hey, it was there, and he was thirsty.

Releasing Oliver from his hold, Finn squinted through his one eye at the guards. He had missed out on Solia trying to smuggle some goods out, but had at least caught the tail end of the guards asking who had sent them.

"Well this looks promising. You know, there's a lot more of us then them. How exactly were they going to stop us if we all just, you know, went on through?"

He wasn't talking to anybody in particular, and he kept his tone lowered, hushed so that the guards wouldn't hear, but he did give Oliver a sidelong glance and a smirk.

"Proud of you for making it out here, kid." That was better then princess, at least.

He rather calmly took Chel's cup, which should have been a warning sign after the punch.

Retribution was swift: in one fell swoop Jack snatched the mug out of Oliver's hands, flatly told Finn, "Mine,", conked Oliver on the head with it for being so weak-willed as to let it have a chance of being snatched by someone else, told him, "Disappointing,", and finally shot Chel a pointed look for being so inconsiderate as to bring his drink in a cup as opposed to, say, a thermos--then conked her as well for laying a hand on him.

And then he downed her whole offering in one go, rolling his shoulders with a pop as he gave a satisfied sigh. Nobody messed with his coffee.

"Seems like we might have been infiltrated," he informed them conversationally, though in a low tone. "They're wearing grey over there at any rate. Waiting to see how the first wave of immigrants goes before making a move. Hobo back there said to keep moving and not make eye contact, but the guards're starting to ask questions."

Jack paused.

"Princess?" he asked with a raised brow.

The usual was not comforting, even if it was unfortunately familiar. Solia's words were also not comforting, which were actually the exact opposite of what Abbi wanted to hear.
"B-but if you're branded then you need extra protection! And I'm a Moon, so I have to stay by you! Just... Just in case!" It was her attempt to be brave and calm about this too, but Solia still walked away and despite her words, Abbi still hung back.
She saw Noemi a moment later, looking just as scared as she, and hurried over to her.
"Um! I'm not sure beyond bad things... But we have to be careful and stay in a group if possible!" Which meant Noemi was now part of Abbi's group.

As for the flurry of texts, the girl stepped closer to the fellow red head and pulled out her phone to quickly tap out a message.

Mimsy's attempt was good, just the girl's understanding/ sense of humor failed. She blinked and blinked and her face gradually blushed. Z! Why didn't you tell me? She felt like digging a hole and hide herself like the ostrich. "I am following you....so you are Alice?" She hesitated and asked gingerly, hopefully not getting the wrong idea this time. She can totally be the white rabbit if Mimsy wanted to be Alice. "Thank you Mimsy!" She returned the warmness with the sweetest smile, swinging her hand lightly until the other hunter approached.

She still stared at the hunter when Mimsy made the invitation, wondering how he kept his skin in such a pinkish white, like the Snow White. Also, he looked like a Russian Prussian character that she saw from a famous anime before, was he a Russian Prussian? She wanted to ask, but she decided it wasn't the right time to do so.

The girl looked around as they moved, she didn't wander the island, it was her first time, so she kept looking left and right. Then, she tugged Mimsy's hand suddenly. "Mimsy, wait. I think I find something." She gestured the woods alongside and whispered. The leaves were rattling. She gingerly walked closely to the tree, pretending she was just looking around. When she was close enough, she spoke lightly of the following as she walked closer slowly.

"Pee.....ka......bo, I.....see .....YOU!" She jumped the last step forward and reached the tree, tilted her head and beamed. "Knock, knock. Who's there~?" The Death Trainee asked playfully with bright curious eyes staring the tree.

Would it be someone she know?

She felt safe with Mimsy and Robert, so she did some bold things out of curiosity

Nightmares. Nightmares that were almost always followed by a disorientation in some way. Today, that form of disorientation came with a change in scenery as Ripley found himself outside, still in the sweats and t-shirt he had been sleeping in. He was treated to the sight of a lifeless body, blood, a burned O in the ground, and Mark saying something about a seige and supplies.

ol-j-man

Text to Jack: On it.

It was Jack's text - and the oddly capitalized O - put everything together for him. He rushed back to his room, dressing warm just in case, and grabbing his extra pair of glasses. The pockets on his coat already had small amounts of emergency supplies in them, so he didn't quite need to pack anything more.

To Finn's text, Ripley snickered, and fired off a text of his own.

Seussi

Text to Finn: I'm already on my way. I'll watch for Fini, you watch for Abbi, I'll kill you if she gets hurt.
Text to Finn: And you better not die either.

AyeAvast

Text to Abbi: Where are you? Get to the li

The text was accidentally sent, though he had already spotted the girl in the crowd. He made his way over, spotting a familiar girl beside her, and another one that he didn't. A gloved hand reached out to rest on top of Abbi's head. He offered her a smile that was meant as a greeting, one which was extended to the two girls by her.

"Hey. So...What now?"

It was working. The guards backed down. She felt more than saw Otto and Dakota trying to make their way as well. But the grays kept asking questions, and all she could hear were the buzzing of insects again, the darkness threatening to disintegrate her into nothing. Always questions, always in grey. Never before had Stormy wanted to strike something so instinctively.

Mark had said not to speak, but how suspicious was a group that didn't answer? Her hand started to grow clammy in Gale's, her mind whizzing. Questions didn't go away unless you answered, you had to, you had to.

< < Don't. > >

But it worked the first time. Why not a second try? If this was the Circle, if they must be grey, then maybe--

She squeezed Gale's hand, asking both for forgiveness if it jeopardized them and for trust that she thought it was a good idea (at the time).

"Charlotte," she answered the guards quickly, not stopping, not looking, pulling him along with purpose rather than fear. It was the only name from the Circle that she knew of thanks to that bizarre mission a while back.

Chel didn't know the little one, but she did know the big one that joined him. She also knew that Jack was being a bonified d**k. So nothing unusual.

But she was very cross with him because not only was he being unfriendly, he'd also asked someone else to bring him coffee. She was his coffee girl, not anyone else! So for that reason she decided she didn't like Oliver very much out of spite. She might have glared as Jack took the travel mug from his hands, and even so far as to cross her arms as he drank it. She was at least glad to hear him say the other person was disappointing. That was a tiny victory for Chel!

"Finn, Jack is being mean," she announced, shaking her head. "I'm starting to think we should dye his hair next."

With his explanation of the situation, Chel tilted her head. "Well, you guys heard Mark. Shall we march, or are you guys gonna pussyfoot around the whole time?" She then began walking towards the lighthouse as the same leisurely, relaxed pace she always did. Apparently seeing yet another dead body hadn't phased her much. Not after the one she'd found with Deryk, nope.

The 'upgraded' nickname wasn't lost on the Life trainee, nor the kind words. Lost puppies were particularly weak against kind words, and having someone as badass-looking as Finn give him some sort of approval was enough to set his lower lip to quivering, and the start of tears to make his eyes shine moistly.

But the threat of tears didn't last long. "Ow," Oliver yipped softly as the canister of coffee glanced off the side of his head, and he rubbed it nervously. Jack's treatment was more what he was used to. It seemed to set him straight, and focus more on the task at hand.

"Wh-why the l-lighthouse?" Oliver stammered quietly, slowly and anxiously shifting away from the girl who had also brought coffee. Call it a weakling's instincts, but she didn't seem to like him very much...

Lex hung back from the rest of the group, eyeing Stormy and Gale warily as they approached the grey coats. He'd only been told the short and fast of the situation, by Stormy actually, and was inclined to think that one wrong step by the girl would bring about a swift end to the lot of them.

Then again... it was all those gathered versus these two. He twiddled Regal's totem in his fingers, biting down on his lip in anticipation. Should he covertly summon the gun? Keep in locked for now?

He breathed deeply as he took a step forward, getting just behind the couple, with his head down. Nothing was said, but his presence stated it all. They'd heed Marks words, by any means the Life Hunter deemed necessary.

text to Abbi: You don't do anything. Let somebody else figure it out and if the group decides to rush the guards instead, you run for that portal as fast as you can. Good luck!
He thought he saw a flash of red hair in the crowd, assumed it was her, and directed his attention back towards Jack, who had taken the coffee (of course) and Chel who was having some kind of mild b***h fit because....Jack was...mean.

She hadn't noticed that before?

"Wow. Headline news." He replied with thick sarcasm, though he smirked at the rest of what she had to say, "No."

He then texted her.

text to Chel: absolutely

But there were more important things to be worrying about right now, and that was how to get to the portals. He hoped that somebody up there knew what the hell they were doing.

"Portals, princess. How else would we get off of this rock?" He answered Oliver's question, before reading his phones newest text, and looking behind him for the arrival of a white haired man, spotting him when he approached and watching him as he headed over to where Finn had thought he might have seen Abbi.

Good, the gang was all here.

Except Fini. <********." He muttered, fingers hovering over the text function on his phone again, wondering if he should tell her to get her a** over here or just leave it be.

He kept his hand wrapped tightly around Stormy's, their fingers laced together in an effort to both keep himself calm but also to look as casual as possible. Stormy's presence was enough to remind him of how to act and to keep himself steady, which he was grateful for. Otto's presence, though given a sideways glance, was also (secretly) welcomed, because in spite of their rather tumultuous relationship (for lack of a better word) Otto was both competent and familiar with everything that Gale was, and Gale, surprisingly, trusted him more than he trusted a lot of people on the island.

He could feel Lex's presence behind him, as well as Solia's on his other side; a steady weight, though Gale didn't turn to look at them, merely straightened his shoulders and continued walking as though he had entirely figured out everything.

Stormy's answer - "Charlotte - " was said with a little haste, but less like she was panicking and more like she was just impatient. Gale gave the men a slight roll of his eyes as if to say, Girlfriends, what can you do? before following after Stormy.

"We'll try to be more discrete, sorry for the mixup," he said, gesturing a little with his tattooed arm.

Frowning into the dark, not taking her eyes off the lighthouse, America answered quietly, "The fellows in grey stopped Solia, then Stormy and Gale. I think they're the folks we need to avoid or blend with." The enemy. "They'll either let them through, or we'll have to...oh, Otto's pushing past." America tensed up, stance shifting to summon Stryker the moment things look like a fight.

There was a small, golden flash at Shu's sudden arrival, a near-but-suppressed summon that would have had America cursing and maybe laughing under any other circumstances. As it was, her posture stiffened, and while she refused to look away from the lighthouse, it didn't make her words any less pointed. "Young lady," she hissed, voice a stern and unforgiving echo of her aunt, "this is a mission, not a game. Lives are at stake. Either act like a professional or go back to bed."
