"Im going to kick your a** later for that Princess comment, Land." She muttered half heartedly, though anyone who knew the woman could tell her tone was teasing. She still might do it though, better watch your back.
Still she watched as the pair took care of the mobs, clearly in their element. See this was why she defended people, she was not a heavy hitter.
"They are scary." Ceres nodded towards Inoke, making quick eye contact with him. "I've met one, yes they exist." She didn't want to think about it. It was a brief meeting, but she remembered the Pyramid Head he was walking around with. It was exactly like the video game...
"...Another incoming." She saw another out of the corner of her eye, it seemed these things enjoyed darting for her. It probably was the blood.

"You can do anything you want to me once we make it to a safe place." He flashed her another grin, to cover up the bit of concern that was starting to sink in. At some point one of his swings were going to miss. At some point someone was going to get hurt... And this time it would be someone he knew and not just a faceless hunter on the ground.

"At least I'll deserve the a**-kicking, considering I dragged you into this. Might think twice before answering a text of mine, yeah?" He stepped up, ramming one of the monotones with the ball end of the horseman's pick before slashing at another. "These greyscales just don't know when to quit."

"Whhhyy did you have to tell me that?" He groaned. He'd played those games, he was bad enough as a fake pixely monster. Knowing one was real was NOT a pleasant thought. "Does no one believe in delusions on this island? Or do we just get used to this" He waved a hand at the creepers, "Being 'happy'?"
He probably should have been paying a bit more attention to fighting than talking but whatever. "'Land. Hit monsters now, flirt later. Unless you want to end up looking like our friend over there."

Ceres rolled her eyes at the pair, smiling despite herself. "I will treat you both out for ice cream or something next time we leave the island okay? Lets just...survive to see another day.
She swiped at the greyling once more, not doing a whole lot of damage.

"Alright... I've had enough of this." He said finally, knocking the last of this wave of monotones away from Ceres and their rescue.

"It better be some damn good ice cream. I expect fancy gourmet s**t not baskin robins." He smirked, voice teasing, as he watched Land take down the last of the crawlers who were coming at them. Running like hell sounded like a good idea. "Get our mostly dead friends other arm. I'll keep any more of these things off our back." He nudged Land as they all turned tail to run.

She rolled her eyes. "It would be easier to find a place with real yogurt ice cream then." Those seemed to be all the rage recently, weirdly enough. "At least you guys can put as much toppings as you want in them." They somehow managed to get out of the way of the greylings, but they shouldn't stick around for long. "I'm ok Inoke, you two just watch our backs for now. Best to have two hunters able to move around and fight, i can manage." She felt odd saying that, normally she was the one watching others backs. "We need to get inside and get him to the hospital as soon as possible."

A part of him couldn't believe that the other two were talking about food while the smell of charred flesh was still so prominent, ignoring how the thought of it turned his stomach in favor of not wanting to ruin a victorious moment. While the monotones were still coming they seemed to finally be outrunning them. Inoke took the lead, keeping the path clear and safe. Ceres carried their new 'friend' and he remained close enough to lend a hand were she to need it, prepared to help in the event they needed to be able to move faster at a moment's notice. He knew that she wouldn't ask, but that didn't mean he couldn't insist if it became necessary. She was right, though. They needed to make it to the infirmary so they could bandage up and regroup... And make sure that if their patient survived they could get answers. [ Entire Party Has Escaped ]

[ WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED ]
A bunch of Hunters are aimlessly wandering around the Deus facilities. Some of them are talking to empty space. They see nothing on the ground and listen to it. They stare at the wall in terror and begin to flee, tripping over each other in the process.
