Mikael wasn't entirely sure where he was, at least in the dazed way someone just awakened from a very long sleep wasn't sure where they were. He had found himself walking after H before he was even really concious of what his legs were doing, he stared straight ahead, dazed and lost in his swirling thoughts.

He stepped over the fainted woman without even noticing her.

It was only when he caught up with what was going on that actual sentience returned to his gaze, he blinked slowly, once, then twice. And then wrinkled his brow.

"Excuse me. Did you just say zombies?" he said to Xi in confusion. His accent was unusual. Somewhere between Swedish and English.

Maybe he was still asleep and not really picking up what people were saying.

Andy had been relieved when the door finally opened and Dr. H appeared; this man had the answers to all their burning questions - if he'd answer them. Dr. H seemed to have a snarky attitude, but after realizing that they had awoken before their time, Andy understood. Of course the guy was stressed out - bad s**t had happened! Well, potentially bad - it was certainly unexpected!

He followed quietly behind as Dr. H led the early-risers on a brisk "nature hike" to...wherever. Each time the "good" Doctor answered a question (or didn't), Andy tried to catalogue the information; as they walked, he looked around quickly - maybe he'd be able to remember this path, those places? Maybe not.

"Save the world, huh? I wonder if it's from zombies..." But he was muttering, not trying to be heard by Dr. H or anything...just hanging back and holding his tongue until he had a better idea of what was going on - the way he thought Jordan would have.

Cee heard the chatter in the back about zombies and dragons but the thought of it was almost laughable. She'd seen shadows and had horrific dreams but the reality of a real movie monster, at this point, was still a bit farfetched. Even with the spotty bits of memory regarding how she agreed to be here.

With a distracted spin, Cee singled out one of the voices.

"Oh my gahd.." Her own accent was distinct, though hard to place unless you were familiar with South Jersey or Philadelphia. "Where are you from? Yer accent is legit hot."

To Cee, pretty much anyone foreign, was just that much more interesting. It was easy to exaggerate her scope of the world though, making herself seem sheltered and wide eyed. She lived her life as the fun, party girl and she would continue until her moment came.

"That's not like, British is it?"

Mikael gave Cee a deer in the headlights kind of stare, stammering a bit before he finally gave up and nodded.

"Yes. Um. I'm from there." he was still careful not to say where in England. Old habits died hard, and he'd learned not to give away too much about where he was from. "Are you American?" he asked brightly. "I hear America is great!"

Rodney Michaels, 25, Male, gripped his chest as the door to the pod lifted.

His heart was beating fast, too fast, in his chest. A dream. Hadn't it been? He slowy moved his hands from his chest to his ears to make sure, and then felt half-ridiculous, and half-better. The waking world slowly caught up to the haze of dream logic.

He'd been stabbed. He'd been saved. He, it, something, in his place had died, and there was a little girl.

A dream...

His mouth had a horrible taste in it. He could smell something off, and old, and he recognized that it was himself. He was not in his dark New Jersey apartment, not in his bed. Not in Tennessee. Not in Alabama. He stood. The linoleum and bright lights reminded him of a hospital. He stumbled blearily into the group of people, and crossed his arms, trying to keep warm.

How long?

March 21st.

He'd joined...that's right. Save the world. Someone in the crowd fell. Stood again, alright. He felt weak himself, but he would have carried them. They were talking about zombies.

"We're not," he offered softly, and his throat was dry.

They finally reached a large building that appeared to be a school of sorts. Behind it stood a slightly smaller building which housed a gymnasium. The doctor led them straight to the gym doors and shoved them open, "Come along, dearlings, don't bother to sit in the bleachers, they aren't for you, so just stand around the podium awkwardly as I'm sure that's within your individual skill sets."

Noting the refreshment table he waved a hand in its direction, "Feel free to try Edith's cooking."

"It's a'right." Cee shrugged and smiled with a coy nonchalance only someone with privilege could muster. "I like it. I never been overseas though." She batted her lashes. "Except Jamaica on spring break."

Cee sidled up beside him, pushing her dark curtain of hair back before grasping Mikael's wrist gently, fingertips pressing firmly as if he were just grounding her from floating away.

"So what's Englan' like? Oh heh," she carelessly chuckled. "I'm Cee by tha way-" Unfortunately she was cut off by entering the bustling gym....

She grinned at the man whose wrist she clung to, "Food.." Cee's brows wiggled.

Lydia thought...she thought that guy might have just winked at her, but that couldn't have been right! He probably just had something in his eye or something. Still, her cheeks flushed red and she reached up to fiddle with her hair, giggling lightly to herself, which of course was punctuated by soft snorts, even while she reached up her free hand to clamp down over her mouth.

"Y-yes well..I..." She suddenly felt too hot and flustered to reply, melting under what little attention just one man had given her, despite the fact that she was wearing torn, filthy, blood stained clothing and probably appeared an absolute mess. Time had healed wounds but nobody had thought to give her fresh clean clothes, it seemed.

"Ohhhhh yes, yes I just bet you do!" She gave him an almost adoring look, stepping in to walk just a bit closer beside him, latching on to one of the very few that had given her any kind of positive attention, though she would have considered the Happy Joy person a great candidate as well.

A building approached, though it's edges remained fuzzy in her weak vision, it's shape becoming more clear the nearer they got to it. "I saw a big foot, once." She hissed in a sort of not at all quiet whisper to her new companion, "And a..." She frowned a little, struggling to remember. "A giant spider." A sense of sadness followed that realization, and she gave her head a small shake.

"Never any zombies, though." Not that she could recall yet, at least.

Stopping outside of the building, she craned her head upward, standing on the toes of her boots as she tried to see past those in front of her. Podium? Food?

She followed the others inside

Joy had the weirdest feeling she was back in college with her freshman English teacher who had delusions of teaching overseas but got saddled with his fellow countrymen instead. It wasn't enough that it was their country's official university, it wasn't a foreign university and therefore not really important. She wondered how the hell she got to such a tangent, and then heard H speak to them. Oh. Right.

She kept up with the Doctor who, now that she thought about it, sounded very familiar. Not his voice, more like his name. Eh, she's sure she'll remember eventually.

"If we are turning into zombies," she turned to Zach, the guy who started the zombie trend, "I vote we eat Kelly first." She was grinning, it was a joke after all but maybe she was still a bit sore on how they were treated.

Reaching a large building, Joy stared unhappily at the resemblance to a school. Well, like the schools she'd seen on those American television shows at least. As everyone began to file inside, she gestured to Zach who was closest to her proximity, saying with a grin "Huy, don't get left behind." before going in.

She should have woken from that dream immediately, at least, from the shock of being killed by her own clone, but... strangely, it hadn't hurt, and the emotion on the other's face tugged at her own heart, making her wonder if they really could have done it so coldly. They had a reason, didn't they? They... they...

The pod hissed open, and then, light.
The dream was already over. There was no use trying to go back. But... there was something weird about that dream. No, not that dream... there was... something else. A... promise?

Clambering out of the strange pod (how did she get here?), she turned, letting out a gasp at name written on it.

Mimi Magloire
Age 17
Female

Why... why was she here? Why did she wake up here?
She looked around to find the room oddly empty, but she was pretty sure she heard voices in the distance. Had... had they left her here by herself?? She didn't want to be alone again!!

And then she ran out the door and got hopelessly lost.
