Allemand gave the girl a menacing glare that established he was superior, behavior like that of a commoner would get her killed but he needed Thea. "Come on!" he said getting a little more agitated. He stood her up and tightened the bound on her wrists then took a glance through the stream of citizens that occupied Jeromarid. "Nokdren, if we can get to him he will offer housing and a decent place to keep you hidden. Posters are hanging all over town, they know your face but not mine. Any of these men would gladly smuggle you off of the streets and turn you in. That's why I will have to find us a way out." Allemand squinted his eyes and looked up at the blue frenzy of sky, the moon still loomed in its balance and night would dawn soon. Content with the plan, he knew there was a river near by. "I'm going to make a run, you're coming with and then I'll find somewhere to stash you."

Allemand didn't respond, he just countered it with the same glare he had given her awhile ago but it was more intense. Almost like she had exposed the truth in the last few words she'd spoken. He retired his firm brow and came to ease as he walked on the pine scented path to the river with the girl in tow.

Allemand was not even close to sympathetic for the girl and her advancement in inquiries was questionable. While her innocence proceeded, he continued on the trail with his hand in a soft silken pocket and his hood down. His fluent brown hair swept the wind as they both came to a river, the water crept at the banks and he leaned down to dab his finger in it. "It's cold," he got some in the cusp of his hand and downed it. "And good." Allemand had been forced out here by Drexel, the infamous leader of Thol Maldir only shortly after arriving home from the four year battle in Nendorei. It was not often he had tranquility in this harsh realm, most of the time he was swinging a war hammer into the stomach of a burly monster. He sat awhile against an oak tree and waited for Thea to be done.

"Alright, were going," Allemand declared as he saw the girl rise in the river. He had a plan now, he'd heard of an old lady of mysticism and magic who had been stashed and hidden in the woods. It was the only choice while he looked for a way out of Jeromarid.

Allemand caught sight of the girl and without a moment of hesitation did the same. He grappled up to the tree and started to run after her, she didn't stand a chance. "You aren't getting out of this!" he yelled as he continued across moss covered logs. The rumbling of a faint carriage battered against the hard ground and came loosely to a stop, they must have heard them. The puff and crack of a flintlock mechanism let a bullet glide through the air and land in his shoulder. Allemand was now out of commission as he saw Thea swinging through the dense forest, they had him.

Allemand was unsure of why she’d been assisting him, if they were caught it would only make it harder. He forced his arm up and let out an agonizing scream while her grasp came free. Taking a leap of faith, he landed on the ground next to the frozen carriage and watched while fuzzy outlines darted out of the back. One man kicked the door out, the rage was apparent. He vigorously went to his side grabbing his shoulder and yelled something in his ear that was suppressed. Thea could easily run now.

A gut-wrenching feeling came to him as the man leaned down in his face and spat. “Stay here you fool!” he remarked with a mask of hatred. He waved off the goons and they started the pursuit after Thea. Anxious, the man paced around in the mud. Allemand had been dragged over to the carriage and was propped up on it. The door was open and he caught sight of maps and a weak light that barely brought out his grim features. “You’ll never catch her you know,” he opposed. The man walked over with a slight inferior sneer and a gleam of sunshine that caught his gnarly teeth perfectly. Crouching down, the man was squat with a fermented face and a sturdy neck to support it. “You know what my father told me,” he asked. Like he knew, “How to lead a life with an incriminating record?” Allemand offered. “No!” the man retorted. “Like you would know a damn thing.” Allemand said this and watched the man as he brimmed to the point. “You're done.” The man hit him and Allemand’s head smashed the backboard of the carriage.
