*Alrighty! Time to work my magic...*

Once Xashowd got back to the Basement, he headed down the stairs and stopped in front of the door. He noticed a gift box hopping there. Guess Lady Luck got here first. Xashowd thought, but the job was only partially done. Like before, all the Grunnies turned their eyes towards him and hissed in disgust, though they were more agitated than usual since some of them had been slapped in boxes. Xashowd smiled. The confusion they had would be the last thing they ever felt.

"This is good night for you pests. Permanently."

Xashowd kicked the giant box in hard, sending it careening into a bare wall and bursting open, Grunnies flying everywhere. Xashowd cursed as he rapidly slammed the door shut, making certain no Grunnies got out from the blast. He quickly checked it for any cracks along the side and covered all but one with barriers of wind. The last one he put a special seal around. Nothing could go in, and nothing but the air would go out.

No sooner had he finished the seal that he felt a loud THUMP on the door. Xashowd dared a peek through one of the cracks.

Those Grunnies were smarter than he thought, because they were throwing themselves at the door. They must've realized his tone meant their lives were about to end.

As more and more of the Grunnies began flying at the door, Xashowd braced himself against it and began rapidly pulling all the air out of the room. Much to his chagrin, anything not nailed down and weighing less than 5 pounds began flying toward the door crack. Xashowd had to lessen the force a few times to keep the Knives from making dents in the door. That was the least of his problems, as the Grunnies began to pile themselves against the door, pushing it with all their furry might. Xashowd was thankful for his Vampiric strength at that moment, but those Grunnies were persistent. Thankfully, they made nice meat shields against the knives, so Xashowd increased the suction to the maximum speed he could. Grunnies kept piling up, ever determined to foil Xashowd's plan. He saw more than one pair of eyes glare at him with such hate that put Daenes' glare to shame. They didn't just want out, they wanted him. Dead.

Xashowd kept up the suction as more Grunnies piled against the door. A few tried to position themselves against the hole Xashowd was sucking the air out through, but he used some of the remaining air in the room to slice them apart, then resumed suction. After 20 minutes, Air stopped coming out. The room was now sealed.

Xashowd continued to brace himself against the pile of Grunnies. They made one last-ditch effort to bust open the door by shoving it all at once. With the air gone, some of them began to suffocate, and the effort broke apart, lessening the blow. The door didn't budge.

Xashowd peeked through one of the sealed cracks and saw the Grunnies squirming for air. As the room was Vaccum Sealed, no sounds came from within. But none needed to. Xashowd could imagine every squeak, every hack, every gasp those mutated lagomorphs made. He was glad no one else could see this. Deadly or not, the sight would give anyone nightmares.

Xashowd wasn't even sure he wouldn't get them.

He stood there for what seemed like hours, back to the door, no longer looking at the scenes of Grunny death behind him. When he was sure it had been long enough, Xashowd opened the door. Grunny Corpses with eyes bulging out of their sockets fell in a small heap past the door, then flew back as the air rushed back into the room. Though there was no smell, the scene was like something out of a horror movie. Xashowd lacked the words to describe it.

He wondered if chopping them up would've been more humane.

He set to work gathering the corpses with his Wind Magic, moving them up the staircase and piling them outside in bunches, organized by color. As he thought, it was easier, and more efficient. But now he knew there'd be at least one nightmare involving the Grunny bodies...

After an hour or so, he had every Grunny out of the Basement (and all the Knives back in place, just for good measure). He packed them by color into large spheres made of Wind, the Molecules packed as tightly as he could to make it as opaque as possible. He wanted no one else to see this. 9 Different spheres followed Xashowd as he walked to a nearby window. What Grunnies remained in the complex were much fewer in number than the ones in the basement, so Xashowd had no qualms about opening a window. The Security System locked them down, but Xashowd simply used his strength to force it open. Wide. If an alarm went off, he didn't hear it. Xashowd chucked the spheres out, one by one, with wind blasts so powerful they would fly into orbit. Xashowd was somewhat emotionally drained, but he was starting to take a physical toll as well. Once the last sphere was gone, Xashowd slumped down against a wall, tired beyond care. Suddenly, he felt something in his pocket. He pulled out the corpse of the Grunny he'd caught earlier, limp and lifeless. It wasn't as gruesome a sight as the Vaccumed Grunnies, but it served as a macabre reminder of the deed he'd just done. Summoning a small reserve of strength, he walked over to the window and closed it. He then warped back to his Closet, Sealed the Grunny in a transparent Air Box, and placed the box on a shelf. Macabre reminder, indeed. With the last of his strength, he turned into his Feline Form, flew up to his makeshift bed, and fell to sleep.

...Sure enough, he dreamed of Grunnies. Cold. Lifeless. Nightmarish Grunnies.


*TL;DR: Grunnies are dead, Basemeant is neat-ish, and when Xashowd wakes up, he's gonna be thirsty as all hell due to the energy he used performing the deed. Granted, the last part's not in the Wall of Text, but since Xashowd's a vampire, it'll be a thing. -She kept an eye out just in case, but from the smashed boxes and no furry bodies, it was pretty clear that Xashowd had done a thorough job. Still, her ears twitched every so often in case an unexpected visitor arrived-

Likewise. Even I ain't gamblin' those odds.

-She watched as Minty flipped the switch an' waited. At firs' she saw nothing, but as she looked aroun' somethin' near the stairs caught her eye-

That a light on up there?

Ah ha!
-She laughed and hugged Minty back-
Ya bet these odds're lookin' up. We ain't got all the aces yet though. We bes' get back an' let the other's know. We'll figure out the res' of the game plan from there.
