The big thing talked with a seducing voice.

Couldn't help herself, she followed what it said and looked into the casket. The dark smoke slowly surrounded the rabbit girl. She felt like she couldn't breathe and she wanted to get rid of it. However, she suddenly lost her consciousness and saw something very awful.

She was killed by a creature, but before that she was tortured. It gradually peeled off her skin, re-opened her healing wounds and gave her a lot of pains. She was like the beast at the circus, fearing what she might face every day and night.

Finally, she died from poisoning, the slow dragging pain was so terrible.

"Nooooooooooooooo! That's not my future! Liar!"

For the longest time, he had been wondering if he should do a raid or not. To be honest, he was hardly the strongest person out there, though he could at least say he also was not the weakest person playing around in the game. R0GU3 could not even say he knew enough people with the right abilities and decks to form a party that even had a chance of beating all the bosses. He still wanted to try, though. He wanted to know how far he could really go. It was almost a shame he was much better with healing than attacking. Of all of the things he could be good at, it was healing, but perhaps it suited his nature. People said he was kind, that he was nice. He could never agree with them, but he could hardly disagree either. The woes of being modest, he supposed.

And for the longest time he wondered who he could gather into a raid party. It was not as if he was used to playing games and fighting in dungeons and beating up bosses. This was a game he played for leisure, although he certainly played with a particular level of zeal. He knew that his fellow Vicious Streak founder wanted in on a raid, but who else could he call to aid him? It proved to be the biggest task for him, but somehow it worked out in the end. He could barely recall how the group had gathered together in the first place. All R0GU3 really knew was that he had been relaxing somewhere inside the Tavern when he noticed semi-familiar faces. He said semi-familiar because he was quite sure he had seen them once upon a time while fighting mobs, especially during the Cheshire, but there were so many similar faces in the game because of the avatars. He had to wonder if they were really the same person or something that appeared to look the same.

And so he approached them one by one, bit by bit. It was a slow process, but perhaps it was worth it. In the end, the white rabbit herald had managed to form his party, right? He even had found someone with an ability that could invite an extra person into the dungeon. Watching all of the different players come together was actually quite beautiful, if you were into that sort of stuff. They hailed from different factions and different guilds and different classes, but that was okay. At least the raids were a very open-minded thing with lax requirements, unlike some of the other dungeons. He almost wanted to cringe at the pain he had to go through to obtain the right players that would meet some of the requirements. He wanted to especially cringe at the thought of finding players to attempt Twisted Roots. How many times had he done that dungeon? He really did not want to find out, actually. Actually, he did not want to find out how many dungeons he had attempted in order to gather the ability cards he wanted.

It was almost disgusting how he had a weird obsession with collecting different ability cards. There was something appealing and alluring (perhaps also addicting) about trying to collect as many as he could, although there was a certain part of him that was too lazy to really try for as many as he could. But everyone had that certain part to them, right? It was only a human thing to feel. It was a shame he only had a small pile of ability cards to choose from when attempting this raid, but when pooled with the other members, it was a pretty collection (at least, that was what he thought in his humble opinion).

Speaking of ability cards, the different cards scattered across the different players in the raid party made planning somewhat easy. He could see that it would still be somewhat difficult to go through all of the different bosses, but at least he could say that it would not take as long as he thought it would. He could at least say that the raid was much more possible. Victory was in sight (he hoped, anyways). Planning had not been too hard, at least he hoped so. He could be a rather poor judge of these sorts of things sometimes. R0GU3 chalked it up to his intense tolerance of many things, but tolerance was good, right? Tolerance was always a good thing to have.

Planning had been simple once he had looked through all of the different decks. He could only praise the higher beings above for blessing the group with useful cards such as Friendly Help and King’s Sword, although he duly noted that the later ability was a prize from the raid itself. He wondered how exactly someone could possess the will and endurance to go through the raid a second time, but he supposed that the loot from the raid would greatly help in beating it a second time. For them, this second attempt would at least be much more easier going. R0GU3 almost wanted to pity the poor souls for having to go through hell for the sake of making this raid attempt easier, but hey, whatever made this as quick and painless as possible, right?

He had even invited a player or two to his guild in order to trade cards. It was almost kind of fun to trade cards in order to bolster people’s decks. Plus, now their decks were up to snuff in order to combat the bosses that lurked inside, waiting for players to challenge them. The white rabbit herald sighed deeply as he stood at the entrance of the raid. R0GU3 turned around to look at the rest of his party. They all looked ready. He was ready. They could all do this.

Especially because they had managed to thwart the first boss of pride. They could thwart the boss of reflection too, he could feel it.

Even as he blinked once. Glassy purple eyes. Pale hands marred by red reach out for him slowly before quickly seizing his neck. Suddenly he can’t breathe—
