It had taken a while, but Robert finally realized that Shadowstep was being colder to Mimsy than his own guildmembers, which would have been all fine and good if it wasn't for the fact that she was Mimsy and Wonderland was hers. So he straightened up, narrowed his eyes thinly, and pulled Mimsy into his protective embrace.
"I prefer it like that." He murmured quietly into her hair, even though his eyes were focused on Shadowstep. It looked like they were going to have to have a heart to heart.
