UT walked away from the lily pads somewhat discouraged, she almost turned around to go back and try again, but really how many mushrooms was it safe to eat around here? She paused as she spotted an odd looking sign in the distance, well it could hardly hurt to go take a gander at it.
She walked over and read the sign then raised a brow.
YOU ARE HERE
Well yes that was rather obvious now then wasn't it? She looked around wondering if someone had taken a map or some other part of the sign that would prove more useful.
Nope it didn't look like it, but sign did have an arrow and it was pointing in a direction. She wondered if she ought not try and follow it, it wasn't as if she had anything better to do at this exact moment in time. With a shrug she walked in the direction the sign pointed.

She had to wriggle through the trees a bit and found herself talking to them, just incase these were the lively variety. "Excuse me, beg pardon, sorry..."
She was still fairly certain that if she was polite to the inhabitants of this place they would return that politeness. She humored the tree and was given a fragment, she humored the cheshire cat and won a card, she even humored the extremely rude caterpillar. So it was hardly difficult for her to humor the sign she came upon even though it simply led to another sign.
Hmmm.
She followed it only to end up at a sign saying HERE, well then...
Not about to be bested by slightly confusing directions she decided to go back HERE and try and get THERE again.

She walked and walked through trees and and following the strange sign until she stood back in front of the one that said HERE. It might be the same exact sign as before, or perhaps she'd found a different version of the same sign somewhere else. She was starting to feel rather directionally challenged.
She looked at the arrow and then pointed in the direction it was pointing. Her eyes scanned the area for a landmark of some kind but it really all looked alike, with a sigh she headed in the direction she was pointed in.

"There where?" She looked around feeling flustered and wondering if anyone was around who might offer her directions. However no one was about that she could see and so she simply had to follow the sign.
She walked for what seemed a very long time only to find another sign, or perhaps the same sign stating: THERE.
"Oh for goodness sake!" She stalked away from the sign grumbling.

Millie ended up at a sign post that stated: "You are here"
"Well that's obvious." She told the sign. Following the sign, she ended up at a second sign that said "There" and it was pointing in the direction she came from.
Ignoring the sign, Millie tried a different direction.

This didn't help her much as she ended back up at the There sign.
"Well, darn it!" Millie exclaimed and tried following the sign this time.

She ended up back at the "There" sign again. Feeling a bit frustrated, Millie tried simply walking past the sign. Surely that was a different direction than she had tried the last two times.

She stared at the sign and wondered if this place wasn't just mocking her, she looked around and tried not to feel the creeping tendrils of paranoia. She grinned and shook her head, even if it was playing with her what could she expect? This place was full of wonder and the delightful little tricks it played were all a part of it's charm. Besides what was the harm? So she'd walked in a few circles. She laughed and followed the sign once more, unless of course it wasn't the sign from before then she simply followed the sign for the very first time.
Shaking her head she wondered if she ought not simply backtrack and try to find her friends.

She walked along trying to gauge time and quite pleased when she felt she'd been walking long enough that she ought to have bumped into one sign or another if she were lost, or if she'd found the same one. She didn't though and so she continued trying to make sure to keep her direction steady, but she had of course already discovered that something in her tended to favor the left. Well not this time, she was following a sign.

At least the terrain was getting more interesting than endless trees. Surely she had found a new path this time!
Millie squeezed past another tree, trying not to step on a caterpillar in the process and ended up at a sign that simply said "Up anywhere"
"Up?" Millie wondered. She looked up as if half expecting to see something. She knew she couldn't fly so it was time to move on and perhaps find a more helpful sign.

She paused as she found a sign again and this time her eyes widened.
UP ANYWHERE
Up? How in the world was she supposed to go up? She glanced back at her wings and tried to flap them, but nothing, they didn't even stir the air around her. Well...it did also say anywhere? Maybe Up was just a different way of saying onward?
She walked onward only to hit another sign that said: UP ANYWHERE
How utterly confounding this all was.

She found the Up sign again relatively easy. Which was quite a feat in this confusing area.

She walked in a slow circle and then looked at the sign: UP ANYWHERE
Was this the same sign? Was she really supposed to find a way to climb up? She walked up to the sign and tried staring straight up, nothing.
With a sigh she tried walking onwards instead only to find another sign, or perhaps the same one.
