Momoko Hudamora
User Image

As the Grand Summoner went around, looking over and seeing who was who's child, Momo tilted her head slightly as she had said that she wasn't hers, but quickly dismissed it. And then, Auntie Kyouji had spoke of the reason why she had needed them. Then, Momo's eyes grew wide as they were glued directly onto the arm that Auntie held up, and the corruption bubbling on it. With the trance broken, and the arm destroyed, The Grand Summoner spoke of missions that required of them, and that in return, she would help them out. "I will do my best, Auntie. I won't let you or your name down." Before many could ponder the meaning of what she meant by name, Momo turned quickly on her heels to the other summoners that were said to help. "It is nice to meet you. My name is Momoko Hudamora, and my title is the Twelfth Kyouji Kuzunoha. Even if the title I got is informal, I do hope that we can still work together." All the while, Kyujobi flew around the group, observing the newcomers one by one, all the while searching for a decent perch to land on.

Kansei Ribasu

Corridors? Kyouji wondering who is 'hers'? What was happening and what did she get dragged into this time? All Kansei could do was stand and listen in hopes of getting some answers. Which only made things a tad more confusing when Kyouji brought out a hand of sorts. It seemed to belong to some manner of creature that followed these 'people' through whatever this Corridor was. According to the Great Summoner, these kids came through the same Corridor so they had to deal with them.. So why the hell was she there? The reason wasn't that far behind.

Kansei's eyes widened a little in surprise when Kyouji referred to her as a Master Summoner and informed the others to respect her as a senpai. Well this was unexpected but welcomed indeed. 'Things are looking up.. I just hope it stays that way.' The orange locked summoner looked at Estelise and realized that she had to keep an eye on these people. It was mildly annoying but at least the first one seemed tolerable. "Estelise Undonge.. That last name sounds familiar. I suppose it's nice to meet you." Whatever sliver of kindness that started to arise from the summoner was swiftly snuffed out as Venustus introduced himself entirely.

"Michieru..?" Just saying that name out loud made all that anger boil in Kansei's chest and it took a lot of control to make sure she didn't lose control over her voice. 'That man is breeding..? This has to be nipped in the bud immediately!!' Crimson eyes seemed to radiate the pure hatred she had as she glared daggers at the poor Future Baby. "You are of relation to the likes of Michieru? You have the gall to tell me to pay that no mind?" Her voice seemed to drip venom as she continued to sharply glare at her victim. "You are of his kin so you will bear the burden of the hatred he has brought upon his accursed name! You want to earn my respect? I have none to give to you, Outsider.. and since Ben seems so willing to deal with you, she can be your babysitter."

And poor poor Momo had to speak up after Kansei was in such a foul mood now. That dangerous glare was shifted to the purple haired girl and its gaze didn't soften in the least. "Never refer to yourself as Kuzunoha around me.. You are just Momoko, that is all. Understand?" The woman hissed before turning away from them. "If it wasn't for Lady Kyouji's orders, I would never volunteer to hold your hands while you clean up your own messes.. I'm going outside to get some air." And with that, the frustrated summoner marched outside, slamming the door behind her.

Kuzaku Martillo, the Knight of Azathoth

"Calmly, Estellise." Kuzaku said, gently putting a hand on his friend's shoulder after making his way over to her. "I do not know what personal issues she may have, but she knows very little about the things we have seen and done. It is much for anyone to take in, and I am certain she will eventually come around. If not, the Yatagarasu has its own way of dealing with members who fail to meet their standards of behavior. Let us trust in them to see this resolved properly."

Bel Heartily

"That's just fine, isn't it?" Bel had remained out of the thick of it as usual, but Estellise's rash outbursts were enough to get him to chime in a time or two. "She's been taught not to trust others so easily, dealing with Demons and supernatural saboteurs. Us showing up out of the blue and saying 'listen to us, for your own good' obviously won't sit well with everyone. The thing I'm more worried about is you, Udonge." Bel kept his arms folded as he leaned against the far wall, but pointed a finger at the girl just to make crystal clear she was listening, and the smile on his face said he was enjoying their faces all riled up like that. "Why should trusting them be so important? If the Yatagarasu of this time were capable of doing the job on their own, none of this would have ever happened. That skepticism's hardly misplaced, so why not try lending them a hand to avoid stupid mistakes?" Bel shrugged as he played out the options for his fellow traveler. She was so obsessed with judging them, it was like she forgot she had something to offer too. Although in his opinion, it was her uptight attitude that was really absurd. "If that's impossible, just focusing on completing your goal. No one's forcing you to make friends. Honestly, deciding to play nice like this right out of the gates makes me sick." Bel glanced at everyone named Michieru. "Especially for you." Just establishing boundaries...

Kyouji Kuzunoha X, Great Summoner of the Yatagarasu
"What's honorable is all a matter of perspective...I just do what's necessary."

She had gotten a sense from the moment they had walked in the door that the children of the future, while eccentric in their own rights, were hardened by the world from which they had come. There was a grim sense of determination and professionalism to them, the lingering reality of survivors come from a world that had forced all men and women into the role of survivors...of a Resistance against an unending swell of death and despair. They were here in this time to prevent that, the 'Corruption', and the people of this time were going to have to come to understand that, she imagined. This world would be new to these future children, peace would be new to them, and there would be simple things that set them off in ways that the people of today might not be able to understand. And that went both ways...issues and triggers for those in the present that simply wouldn't be understood by those in the future. People who had lived in constant fear of a greater enemy rarely had time to even consider arguments amongst themselves. Fighting side-by-side built a sense of camaraderie and left little room for squabbling in between. This was a fundamental difference between worlds that those from one side and the other were going to have to come to terms with if they were going to work together. And judging from the unnecessarily explosive exchange between Estelle and Kansei, they still had a long way to go. It was, in this case, a good thing that the Great Summoner herself was here...and surprisingly, a good thing that the more level-headed son of Bel was present alongside them. There, at least, was one who had an appropriate level of suspicion of any and all things. He would have made a great Kyouji candidate, she couldn't help but think, if he weren't who he already was. Even his distaste for cooperation lent itself to the role of an assassin...she, herself, was more of the exception than the rule in her skill and willingness to work with and train the up-and-comers amongst her line.

"If you don't mind letting others face a danger that you set free into this world, Estelle, then don't come. I won't think any less of you all if, after escaping whatever horrors existed in your world, you only want to enjoy the peace of ours. However, it is our job, as the Yatagarasu, to eliminate any threat to our country that appears, no matter how dangerous, and no matter the origins. For all of her issues, if you choose peace instead of war, Kansei will still fight the things you set free from the Corridor...that is how strong her sense of duty is. She might not like you, and she could certainly do to learn to control her temper...but she is still here, willing to fight and protect you. Keep that in mind before you dismiss her so easily," the Great Summoner's expression of calm never wavered as she chided the future knight's vocal refusal to work with the volatile summoner...reminding her of her own culpability in the danger they faced and the dutiful nature of even the most distasteful of summoners amongst the Crows. Still, though she would prefer if they could learn to trust one another, there were some pearls of truth and wisdom in Bel's dubious schtick that couldn't be completely discounted. There was no need for them to trust the Crows at all, but Kyouji hoped that they would come to understand that she and the other Kuzunoha were working for the safety of the country. And right now, they were the only ones with the resources to help them find whatever dangers...like the Corrupted creature she had encountered on the way back to Inaba...the kids had come from the future to fight in the first place. "Bel is not wrong. Whatever happened in your time, it could only mean that our organization failed you. Whether or not we survived long enough to get you here makes no difference now...what we all need to do is find the source of the 'Corruption', here and now. And by tracking down and eliminating any anomalies in our present timeline, I believe we can get one step closer to finding that source. ...None of you are required to accept my Requests, mind you...if you wait long enough to accept them, I'll do my best to see it done on my own. That is the least that we Crows can do for our failures in your world."

It was strange to apologize, own up to, and try to right mistakes that you hadn't even made yet...that you weren't even sure how you made, when you made, or if you truly made them...but ultimately, it was the duty of the Kuzunoha Line to protect this country. And if in their world it had fallen...then each and every one of them had failed. There were no exceptions. And she knew, in her heart, that the future version of herself had no doubt felt that same gnawing guilt only a hundred times over. Seeing these children to the past was as much about preserving something of their Japan, something of their world, as it was trying to right the wrongs of the past...and she could not, would not make them fight if they did not wish to. But that decision was one they ought to make for the right reasons. She hoped...

"At any rate...my first request is out front. If there are any of you who are still willing to work together with us to eliminate the Time Anomalies and make this timeline safer...to get us closer to the "Source" of the Corruption...Benkyou and Kansei will watch over you on tonight's mission. They are not there to give you orders. Only to protect you in the event that you get in over your heads. Consider this a...test of skills. Show me what you can do, and after tonight, you won't need an escort on your missions...most of the time. ...Now then, time is wasting. Benkyou, I want you to take my green flare. If you all become overwhelmed, fire it and I will come find you," the Great Summoner drew out her unique signal from within her cloak and placed it in the girl's hands, leaving the decision in her hands if the intervention would be required before turning to the rest and bowing her head slightly, arm folding over her slight fame and chest, "The details of the Request are on the Note. I have faith in the skills that brought you here across time...and I wish you all the best of luck."

Her eyes raised for just a moment and then, in a flash, her cape surrounded her and like a shadow in the night...she almost seemed to disappear from in the center of all of them.

...Somewhere in the kitchen not so far off, a fridge could be heard opening and closing. A fork, a plate, and the delighted 'Mmm...' of delicious shortcake being devoured echoed into the night.

Iofiel, the Angel of Love and Kuzaku Martillo, the Knight of Azathoth

Kuzaku nodded as he listened to the request, filing the information into his mind as he considered his options. An earth djinn, was it? He'd love to talk with his father about controlling such a beast - there was nobody more informed on the classical elements that he knew of - but a son couldn't stand in the shadow of his father forever. "I do hope we can convince him to peacefully cooperate..." Contrary to popular belief, violence wasn't the only method of solving things - but the serious young man was quite clearly willing to do his part in resolving the problems that arose. With that, he calmly offered an arm to his angelic companion. "May I escort you to our destination, Miss Iofiel?" he inquired.

"You may, Sir Knight." her voice was every bit as serious as his, but the twinkle in her eyes made it clear that she was playing along because it was amusing - and also because she liked it when men doted on her. Iofiel was indeed a little bit of a hedonist that way, cheerfully luxuriating in the finer things of life, which had been in rather short supply in the future... but one thing she'd never lost was her tendency to care for others. This was also perhaps the first time she'd be helping them in this timeline right from the start, and while she wasn't much of a combatant on her own, she could definitely make everyone else more capable.

Venustus Michieru, the Charmed Prince
Harsh words....
Despite the orange haired summoners vicious lashing out at them, Ven couldn't help but feel a inkling of concern. She snapped viciously about him having to 'bear the Burden of the hatred' his father brought to the name. He was pawned off on the other, quieter summoner...But, as Kyouji spoke to them about the importance of the situation, Estelle's own snap back, and even Bel's own venomous tone......He seemed to be distracted.
"Yeah..." he sounded quietly as Kyouji of this time spoke about missions they would have to do, and how it was outside. Before anyone else could move, the silver haired Atma summoner was out the door, his eyes glancing around for the vicious orange haired summoner.
"I will accompany you all, but...there's something I need to do first."
His eyes weren't about to fail him, but his instincts were even sharper, alerting him to the scent of Demons. He followed it to where Kansei had gone, and quietly cleared his throat.....
But, no sooner would Kansei turn, then would the Silver haired inheritor of hatred would be bowed down before her, in a most apologetic bow. His head touching the ground, his body knelt over, and his hands beneath even them.
"Ribasu-sama..." he started, the mark on the back of his hand pulsing, thanks to his emotons. "I understand that my father has wronged you in this time....And none are more ashamed for the transgressions of our elders than the children of said people themselves. I ask not for you to forgive him, or even to forgive me. I only ask..No...I Beg of you. Our story may be unbelievable....It may be beyond what anyone could reasonably expect to take in.....But..."
His Atma pulsed...as if wanting to give into some other urges...and yet, he merely kept his head on the ground.
"I ask of you....Please....." he called, in as pleading a tone as he could manage, while still being audible for the summoner. "Please....give us a chance to prove that we are more than what you perceive of us. Please...Give us a chance to prove that we are your comrades.."
He didn't have high hopes for the boy to believe him...He didn't even believe the boy would consider this motion...But, his mother had always told him if he wanted for someone to come to an understanding...
It was best to meet them halfway. And, while the gauge of distance might have been a bit off...He was still willing to try.

Benkyou Resolvere
Few things had shook the frosty summoner...And, seeing Kansei erupt like she did was one of those few. Despite the boy's lineage of one of their most despised rivals......
She didn't expect Kansei to lash out like that. The orange haired summoner hated the current Geirin, but to this extent...
She remained silent as the armored knight let out her own sour remark, the two having been mediated by the others before it could get out of hand...But, the whole situation still made her mildly uncomfortable. She silently nodded as Kyouji explained how she'd put up quests for them to accomplish, and how her and Kansei would be chaperoning the...children from the future.
"I'll..watch out for you all." she stated, in her cold voice, though, looking a bit softer at the armored knight who let her emotions get the best of her for a bit. "Ribasu is...a bit volatile, but..he's reliable. I'm sure he'll live up to your expectations...and then some."
The silver haired one started out, and as much as Ben wanted to follow him to make sure Kansei didn't try to snap his head off...She felt it would be best to refrain, and try to give off a calm, professional image.

Almost unnervingly well timed, a pink haired figure was running her fingers over the note, reading the words with a bit of excitement.
"A strange creature has been spotted in the crater.... We should stop him, and get any information we can...out of him."
The girl had been hanging out with the Michieru family, but when the summons called, she leapt at the opportunity. She had been late to help them fight off the corrupted demon from before, so a chance to support them from the start was very appreciated.
"Though..who's..Benkyou Res....ol...ve...re, and Kansei Riba- Eep!"
She stopped mid-word, and gently brought a hand to her mouth, having bit her tongue tripping over the last name. It was..a bit eccentric to her, but not a sensation unfamiliar to her. Some names just...hurt to say sometimes!

Kisa

Meanwhile, up in the attic was someone who wasn't particularly involved with the discussions going on below, and indeed didn't even know they were happening. Instead, she simply posed in front of the mirror, both hands raised up like cat paws. "Elkeelkeelkeelkeelke!" she said quickly, smiling into the mirror. It was a silly urban legend, but hey, why not?

(Did you hear the story? If you dress up like a cute maid at midnight and pose in front of the mirror, then say his name five times, any wish will be granted...)

After a moment, though, the Demi-Fiend giggled. She didn't get to use this transformation very often, and while she wouldn't have admitted it to others, she actually liked it. Being without tattoos, even for a little while, was... refreshing. Still, it was probably time to get started on that job...
