The tricky thing Is yesterday we were just children Playing soldiers Just pretending .: ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔞𝔩𝔦𝔢 𝔎𝔪𝔟𝔢𝔯 𝔗𝔥𝔬𝔯𝔫 :. Dance is the hidden language of the soul.
Rosalie listened intently to what Luna said, her curiosity about exactly what species Luna was getting to her. It was becoming more obvious that everyone on this ship simply couldn't be human, but the idea of them being otherwise was hard for her to wrap her mind around. She was from earth, where everyone was human. And most humans didn't exactly have the most open minds about what other types of species could be out there. "Do you mind me asking what you're species is? I feel like it wasn't obvious to me until right now that everyone on this ship wasn't human." she said honestly, wanting to learn more. It wasn't like these people didn't look human, but just in this short conversation with Luna, she had made it blatantly obvious that everyone wasn't human. What even was there besides human? "Wait, your hair is naturally pink? That's awesome. No spending money on hair dye, trying to keep the color vibrant.." she said, joking around a bit. She laughed gently to herself, a grin playing across her lips. She wasn't doubting the fact that her hair was naturally pink by any means, she was just keeping the mood light and enjoyed joking around with the captain. She seemed to have a good sense of humor.

When your heart is all alone every second Seems so long When it's just you, you can't see through Those ol' clouds that rain so blue ⋞Luna Davis⋟ "I really dislike bullies. How about I take control of your mind and make you start beating yourself up?"
She shrugged. She kept forgetting that occasionally, there were people that didn't know about aliens.
"I'm Se-combeian. We're an ancient race. I'm 325 years old, and if I die of old age, I'll be roughly 1,000. My species actually created humanity in another Universe. All of us are telekinetic, and the royal family is telepathic."
Luna's padd floated up on its own.
"I'm actually a member of the Royal Family. My mother is the Empress. There are three races aboard this ship. Humans, Se-combeians, and a third human type, the ones that can work magic."
So let's put aside our foolish pride And let our hearts say hello We both agree we're just no good At bein' on our own

Rose leaned forward slightly as Luna spoke, listening intently to every word she said. She wanted to understand to the best of her ability. She felt like she was being hit with a wave of information and knowledge as Luna told her about her own race. She barely kept the look of shock from her face when Luna mentioned her age. 325 years old?! That was crazy. She knew the captain wasn't making this up though, it was obviously true. It would take time for her to wrap her mind around it all however. Oh, and she was royalty. Well, Rose was officially mind blown. "Well, I actually feel like I knew nothing about the universe until right now. Or at least was very ignorant to it all." she said, laughing gently. "So, all Se-combeian's are telekenetic, you and your family are telepathic.. there's other people on this ship that can work magic.. what about the third human type?" she asked curiously, her desire to want to know everything getting to her. She was beyond curious about everything and everyone on this ship.

She laughed her musical laugh. She rather enjoyed this one.
"That was the third type, Rose. The magic users. The man that picked you off the planet, in the golden armor? He's what they call a Paladin. A warrior with powers given to him by his god. He heals people and slays the Undead. And kills evil. Or something like that."

"Oh." she breathed out once Luna explained to her that the third type was the magic users. She'd obviously gotten herself confused. She nodded when Luna mentioned the man who'd picked her up off the planet, knowing from Doctor Sadenes that his name was Celdor. She had said something about his abilities when she had mentioned the ship's technology earlier. She felt incredibly enlightened about everything just from the little bits of information Luna was giving her. "Celdor's his name, right? Doctor Sadenes said I should talk to him when I commented on the technology on this ship. She said I hadn't seen anything until I asked him what he could do." she said softly, thinking it over. "So he's a technologically advanced magical warrior with powers from God to take down evil?" she mulled out loud, running a hand through her hair. "Well, that's something I never thought I would say." she said with a grin, dropping her hand back down to her side. This all seemed preposterous, but somehow totally reasonable. She definitely needed time to let it all sink in however.

She actually giggled as she shook her head.
"No no no. No advanced tech. His people are barely experimenting with gunpowder. but some of them choose to travel with us. A few of them have souvenirs to show for it, but most of them leave the tech behind. Though their entire world knows of us, there're laws in place to let them develop at their own pace. A 'Prime Directive,' my father once joked."
She sighed as she calmed down.
"This ship is Se-combeian. My people. The Unity's actually about 700 years old, give or take. And she has the ability to jump between Universes. That's how we ended up here. And when we get that capability back, we'll do it again, and bring you people to our universes."

Rose felt like she was being pretty dumb, but she really was trying to best to wrap her mind around all of this. It was a hard thing to accept and understand. Especially when you had no idea that there was anyone else out there in the universe but you. She nodded her head in understanding when Luna explained that the paladin didn't have advanced tech that her own people had yet. She actually thought it was brilliant that they didn't just allow the paladins to use their technology instead of developing their own. That kept them able to progress and learn on their own.
She chewed her lip in thought as it was explained to her that this ship was Se-combeian, and that it was named the Unity. That was something she hadn't heard before, or if she had, she had forgotten it. She made a mental note of the ship's name and the fact that most of the people on it were probably Se-combeian. Jump universes. So that was how they had gotten here. But they didn't have the capability now? "What's keeping you from jumping universes now, if you don't mind me asking?" she said, wondering if there was something wrong with the ship. The areas of the ship she'd been in had seemed perfectly normal and everyone seemed to be acting perfectly normal, so she had no idea the Unity was in need of any repairs or that it wasn't up to full working standards.

She cringed a little. Reports were still coming in.
"There was a glitch. Something we didn't catch when we made the jump. We lost a good portion of our crew and we received heavy damage. The Singularity Drive, the device that allows us to jump, was shut down for safety reasons. And the only person that knows how to fix it is dead. We're stuck here, in your Universe, until we can repair it. Provided we accumulate the know how."
She tapped her padd.
"I've been reading reports for hours. We arrived about seven hours prior to the first transport landing on the surface.'

Rose saw Luna's slight cringe at her question. Obviously there was something going on that she hadn't noticed. Her face fell when Luna said that they lost a good portion of their crew and there was heavy damage to the ship. She knew what it was like to lose people, so she felt for her. "I'm sorry that you lost so many people. I know how hard that is." she said gently, tucking another pesky strand of fiery red hair behind her ear. She didn't want to think about the people she'd lost however, so she quickly moved on, not dwelling on that statement for very long. Just because she had become more hardened over these past years didn't mean that she didn't still get upset about the people she lost. "Is there anyone on this ship capable of figuring out how to repair it? I know you said the only one who knows how is dead, but there's got to be someone else with some sort of knowledge about it, right?" she said, thinking out loud more so than actually asking a question. "But you look like you need a break.. you seem worn out. And rightfully so." she added as an afterthought, watching the captain. She obviously cared about the people on her ship and the Unity itself, but wearing herself down like this would only be a set back in the long run.

She shook her head, the exhausted look coming back.
"The singularity drive is unique to my people. We're the only ones who know how. I'm sure we could fix it with the people we have here, but it's gonna take a long time."
She looked exhausted, but there was determination in her eyes.
"But we will get back."

Rosalie nodded when Luna said that the singularity drive was unique to her people, understanding the full extent of how hard this was going to be to fix. It wasn't going to be easy by any means. Luna didn't seem very optimistic about the Unity being repaired any time soon, but she did seem determined to fix it. And that brought a soft smile to the corner of her lips. "I don't doubt that you will, you've got the determination to make it happen." she said gently, giving her a reassuring smile. "I do have to thank you though. For helping us get off that planet regardless of what you're own crew is going through. We all owe you so much." she said seriously, unbelievably grateful for the fact that her ship had stopped and taken them all from that horrible wreck of a planet. She was sure they wouldn't have lasted much longer.

Rose listened to Luna say it was simply the right thing to do and shrug off her thanks. She sighed gently, saying "Regardless of whether it's the right thing to do, you didn't have to do it. So you still deserve to be thanked." She smiled at her, wishing she wouldn't shoot down her thanks. Regardless of whether it was the right thing to do or not, she didn't have to do it. Especially not with her own ship in turmoil.

Rosalie grinned when Luna shooed her, it was the same thing the doc had done earlier. She looked down at the padd she had been given, then back up at Luna. "Will do, cap'n." she said with a grin, pausing for a moment before adding "Good, you need your rest. Sleep well and it was nice to meet you." She smiled and propped herself up, positioning her crutches under her arm and also balancing her padd under her arm since she couldn't exactly hold it and hobble around on crutches. Well, this was going to be annoying. As she stepped into the lift, she gave Luna a short wave before the lift doors closed. She wanted to see Favian, since she hadn't seen him since he had to get checked up, but she didn't even know where to begin to look. Instead, she decided she would make her way to her new living quarters that she shared with her roommate, Serena.
