Anet wiped the female's memory and mimicked Arron's placement of a memory of over indulgence.
You have a point. I knew it was illogical though. But I didn't care it that it was an illogical thought. Maybe I'm the one who would have been a vampire...
She closed the distance between her and Arron. She wanted to be close to him, to be in his arms. She just wasn't sure if she should ask or do.

He held her close because he wanted to and she needed. Her thinking she could have been a vampire shocked him. He searched her mind and shook his head. No, you couldn't have been a vampire. Our males turn vampire. Our women simply become lonely and unsociable. The only way you could have been vampire is if one was to try and turn you into theirs. and that wouldn't have happened.

She nodded, I know. Just like I'd never want to do anything to harm you.
She smiled softly, feeling cherished and treasured. Why didn't more women want to find their lifemates? This feeling was worth anything she could have ever given up.
Not that she had given anything up, so far. Maybe feeding on males, but that was never more than a means to an end. She shook her head, once again realizing just how foolish she was. It was the same when he fed off of a woman. Just a means to an end.
I have just reminded myself how foolish I am. I don't think I'm going to let me live that down for a while.

Aneta nodded, I think we should. They'll be wondering about you. It's a wonder my father hasn't shown up already. He's been trying to get answers out of me for a while.
She smiled, Won't we surprise him when we show up! It'll probably be him and Konstantin at the house right now. Mother's probably running errands.

I'm a little surprised myself. I don't think I'll let our daughter out of my sight!
He chuckled, sharing with her his humor. Of course he'd end up letting their daughter out. she just wouldn't be without protection.

She smiled and leaned into him playfully. That would be my mother's influence. She is constantly reminding him that this is not the age of neanderthals. And that he isn't a neanderthal.
