Terzjian was, for his part, a bit embarrassed of his performance. Despite the fact that he came up onto land only very rarely, he had thought he'd do better than that. He tried to apologise to Kleta, but her speaking caught his attention instead. "Oh, alright." Then, when they announced the cha cha, Terzjian winced a bit, himself. "Well, I'm a little out of practice on this one, but I'll give it my best shot." Energetic dances were a bit of a challenge for him, but, at the same time, he tended to keep tempo better. Something about how trying to hold one position for longer periods in slower dances messed more with his balance. That... had quite probably been an issue with the waltz. Momentum was his friend, even if faster speeds gave him a lot less room to adjust. Taking her advice and looking over at Himeros, the naiad spent a moment observing the body movements and footwork most of all. For the cha cha, the footwork was arguably one of the most important components. When he thought he had a reasonable-enough handle on what to do, he held out his hands to Kleta with a smile that was both amused and a bit nervous. Well, they couldn't stand there forever. "May I?"

Kleta accepted the offer to dance from her partner and did her best at the routine. She certainly appreciated that this mortal seemed to be a bit more serious then the previous year's partner. She could tell that he was slightly nervous, so she attempted to offer him some comfort. "Legs are not your native form..." Kleta noticed the physical trademarks of a 'fish out of water' so to speak, "You have performed well despite this." Even if the Waltz had not been done as well as it could have, they were not the worse despite the setbacks. Kleta was breathless and amazed at the end of their routine. Apparently watching Himeros had paid off. She had never moved like that in all of her life. Take that gods of love and lust. There was nothing quite like the friendly competition between siblings. Hopefully the judges would view it as favorably as she felt it went. "I guess it makes sense that fluid movements would be in your nature." It was the closest thing to a joke that this very serious grace would ever make.

His partner hadn't been much of a dancer, but Iordanes is confident they can pull through. "The cha-cha-cha?" he repeats. "Oh, but it's easy, my dear. Simply keep your feet moving and sway your hips around, like this." He demonstrates, his shapely, round hips moving from side to side. He'd carried himself in a very masculine manner as they'd danced the waltz, but here he moves his very feminine body in a very attractive way, as if he'd been born this way.
He glances around at the rest of the couples, and shakes his head a little. "With twice the curves, we should be twice as good as anyone else, eh?" He gets a little mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Iordanes takes Minuette back onto the dance floor, and puts on quite a show for the judges! His partner is still somewhat awkward, but she makes up for it in enthusiasm.

Hymnaios laughs softly at Naomi's cha-cha-cha. "That's very good!" he compliments her, smiling. "Here, it's better together," he says, taking her hands and wiggling his way back to the dance floor. Even though he's got straight, narrow hips and little in the way of curves elsewhere, he still manages to dance in a way that would rival some of the women.
The ones to watch, obviously, were his brother Iordanes and his partner. Iordanes had a woman's figure and he certainly knew how to use those curves to his advantage! Still, Hymnaios knows he and Naomi can give them a run for their money. His spirit of competition begins to kick in, and he grins at Naomi. "Just trust me on this." He begins to twirl them around the dance floor, cha-cha-chaing circles around the other couples, weaving in and out and between the other dancers.

Parvana is amazed they made it through the waltz without her having a nervous breakdown. He's so handsome, and though he'd kept contact with her to a chaste minimum, it only enhances his charm. It makes him mysterious and brooding. She liked that.
When the next dance is announced, she nearly faints. The cha-cha-cha? The thought of dancing such a sensual dance with him makes her so self-conscious and nervous that she winds up dancing so rigidly it could hardly be considered a cha-cha.

Pothos gulped. The cha-cha.... that meant... he had to get... closer....
Nervously brushing away his thoughts, he pulled her in, his hands on those wide fauny hips. He gulped, glancing at her with a rigid embarrassed stare. "Aah...ahhaha...ah...uh...."

It seemed that the dancers were generally a bit better at the Cha-Cha than they had been at the Waltz. Voluptas was thankful for that; she didn't want her eyes to bleed if she had to suffer through any more absolutely terrible dancing.
Unfortunately, her parents did not impress her as much as they had done the previous round. Perhaps they were simply better at a simple dance like the Waltz. Their moves were mediocre, and they seemed more concerned about whispering to each other than actually accomplishing anything of terribly interesting note. Voluptas yawned. rolling her eyes to the sky. She could only give her parents so much slack, so she ended up giving them the score of 3.
It wasn't absolutely horrible, but she wouldn't call it good, either. Just ... mediocre. Maybe it would encourage her parents to do better next round!
Now that Himeros had taken his eyes off every other mortal in the room, he and Zest appeared to have a better handle of what their routine was supposed to be. Voluptas was not quite as exasperated by this dance as she was by her parents', but she had to admit, she was not much more entranced by it. She could give Himeros and Zest some credit--they were good at moving their hips. That was about as much credit she could give them as she slapped them with a 5.
Pothos was admittedly dancing in a way that was not totally depressing and horrible, and Apple Bloom was dancing in a similarly not depressing and horrible way, but there was only so much they could do when the mood above that duo was just so ... depressing and horrible. Voluptas groaned aloud at the dancing, wondering what kind of cruel joke they were trying to play. Were they trying to bore her to sleep? 1. She couldn't even come up with an angry response to the dance.
She felt much the same about Hedylogos and his dance partner, Parvana, except that the situation seemed to be reversed. The mortal was barely holding her own, but her uncle, the charming god? He was the one that didn't seem to be doing much of anything. She had to give the mortal credit for attempting to make up for it, so she gave them a 2, at least. It was better than the score she gave the others?
As they did last time, Hymnaios and Naomi appeared to be a very capable team. Keeping up with each other on the dance floor easily, they gave a performance that was similar to the performance they had given previously. It was not superb, but it was definitely miles above most of the performances she had seen, and at the end, Voluptas actually applauded them. She confidently gave them a score of 8, larger than last time due to seeing slight improvements in their performance.
Iordanes and Minuette appeared to at least be doing better than they had last time. They were both gifted with at least somewhat feminine bodies, so perhaps that had assisted them in performing the cha-cha, which required such lovely hip movements... Still, there were others on the floor that had done it better, so there was no way she could give them a high score. She opted for the mediocre, giving them a solid 4.
Sort of solid, anyway.
It was not nearly as solid as the score she ended up giving to Aglaia and Kratos. The way they moved their hips, the way they twirled, the way they spun, the way they moved their legs and kept in step and oh, it was beatiful! It was a performance so great that Voluptas' eyes watered as she stood to cheer. It was only natural that they received a 10. Now, it seemed that her Aunt Aglaia was coming into her own again! She was so proud of her.
Euphrosyne and Lucius came onto the stage next. There was nothing particularly remarkable about their performance, but it wasn't bad, either. Voluptas was not bored by it, nor did she feel like she needed to turn herself away. It still was nothing to write home about, though, but it was certainly better than some performances, so she granted the slightly above mediocre score of 6.
The couple afterwards gave a similar performance in the eyes of Voluptas. Not too great, but not too shabby, either. She noted that the two of them seemed to be very much on point, but she could not help noticing the way that Kleta and Terzjian kept turning their eyes towards Himeros and Zest. While Himeros and Zest ended up dancing worse than Kleta and Terzjian, she did not approve of the borrowed behaviors and murmured something about, "Damn cheats," at the end of their dances. She scored them with a 6.
The last couple she was judging was Phaenna and Hiroki. Despite the string of good performances, that seemed destined not to last, and this performance was about as horrible as the one Dylo and Parvana were giving. "Can't we dance a little better?" asked Voluptas, pleadingly, but it seemed to be lost to the Spartan Grace and her partner. So... they got a 2.
She couldn't wait for the next dance. Hopefully it would be better.

"Oh, really? Crazy parties, huh?" Apple Bloom asked and laughed a little. She wondered if they were anything like Pinkie Pie's parties. Now those were some crazy parties!! "Sorry I missed those!" She grinned. She really was trying to put him a little more at ease....wait. Was he staring at her boobs!? Okay, she may not have a lot of experience with guys, but she was pretty sure that staring at her rack wasn't kosher. "Hey, the girls haven't learned how to talk yet, kay?"
Now they were supposed to cha-cha. Well, that didn't sound too hard. Just swing the hips a lot, right? She glanced up at him when he put his hand on her hips, but she just put her hands on his shoulders and went with it.
