The young woman who sat in the little lean -to was listening to all the commotion here and there. fight Galbadia..resist the enemy..she laughs..softly..bitterly..to herself..shaking her head. Who did anyone think they were kidding? Galbadia had armies, weapons, state of the art equipment, numbers, funding..sure..SeeD had its perks; it had Guardian Force..the Garden itself..or did..and more than enough members. It had funds from mercenary activities, and skills to fight supernatural opponents. But..even an entire nest of wasps couldn't stem the tide of a flow of a million ants. that's what the Galbadians were like. An anthill full of thousands upon thousands of vicious little ants. Ants with guns. There was no way in hell that SeeD could defeat them. Especially not as long as that man with the unnatural aura was leading them..she sighs..
"It's..pointless.."

Mindlessly taking herself back over to the main cave, Delan was still sinking into her personal battles. Slowly, she soon brought her icy fingers up to her cheekbone, lightly pressing each bit of flesh. Before long, she was all-out talking to herself mentally.
It seems like forever since then...
"I told you not to touch her!"
Has it really only been nine years since it happened..?
"S-She's not just yours!"
I...don't want to think about this now since there's so much happening, and I'd come off as selfish if I didn't help out...
"Shut up! Aida's dead because of you! I won't let you do the same to her!"
Seriously... What else can I do but recieve and accept orders..?
Creeping through the others like a zombie, the young woman miraculously found the group that were seemingly readying themselves for a big, official discussion. Zell sat impatiently on the ground waiting for the whole thing to commence, but Delan didn't know the names of the others. She could have recognized them if she had a longer attention span, yet her thoughts were choking her so much that she couldn't even view their faces properly. It was as if everthing and everyone had been struck by their own earthquake or hurricane; all acting on their instincts.
Nearly dropping to the floor yet not showing any signs of such a reaction, the glossy-eyed teenager hurried over and sat behind Zell. Making a quick look at his expression, he didn't look as emotional as he had minutes ago. That was a good thing, and told indirectly that the SeeD recovered from events fairly well.

She reaches into her small bag and pulls out some clove cigarettes and a lighter, and lights up..inhaling..before slowly letting the smoke out. s**t. The Galbadians had better not do anything unforetold to her guitar while it's still down there. She had a feeling Hiro might find it along the way..but..it wouldn't matter, really. It was a piece of her history in a way..she both hated and loved it. If those a** hats touched her insturment, even if she was scared to death of them, there'd be hell to pay. At least she managed to get her poster. She continues to smoke, just looking out over the nothingness in the night..wondering when the raid team will be back.
"What a great week this has been.."

Dante's eyes opened up... He had been hearing voices for it seemed a week or so... Voices that kept creeping into his soul, telling him of destiny, fate and mans own will...
"Yes... you were always bold, but stupid...." echoed a mistresses voice... "But, I was going to die... I couldnt let go..." Dante replied... "But of course Dante! Always looking out for yourself, never to care for others... have you even thought of Raine? Your Grandmother Elli? Or perhaps Goto, the blacksmith? They are your only family right?..." She sighed... Dante hesitated... ".............What should I do now?..." Dante replied with sorrow in his voice. "Maybe they would like to see you... Maybe you should return home... at least visit." She said softly... "You are careless Dante, look at you... an emotional wreck... Why, why do you allow yourself to carry such a burden? Find yourself... Find the other half...-" She stopped her sentence "My other half..." replied Dante... "What is that supposed to mean?" He asked with a puzzled expression... "I.. nothing, surely someday you will come to understand... just follow your heart..." Her voice faded....
"Huh?" Dante pushed himself off of a matress that was torn, sitting down next to a SeeD girl who was casting Curaga on him, and bandaging his wounds... "You're finally alright!" She excalimed... "I... I guess so.." Dante put his hand to his forehead.... he had a major headache, and the only thing on his mind was remembering his opponents on the battlefield... two in particular... "Are you ok?" She leaned over putting her hand to his forehead... "Mmmhmm.." Dante mumbled... "What, the hell happened, where am I?" He asked... "We are in the mountains, just north of Balamb... or what used to be... Balamb... A lot of bad things have happened, but... We will get our garden back!!" She proclaimed... "Hmm..." Dante thought of who saved his a**, but he had no clue... He shrugged and lifted himself up... feeling like a new person, a bit tired but he felt the second and even third wind of energy underneath him... "What are you doing!! you dont need to be moving around, you need rest!" She said trying to push him back to the matress... "Gah!" Dante grabbed her arm and pushed her to the bed with her momentum and he stood up walking off grabbing his gear on the way out... "Don't take it personally... But I have some unfinished business.." With a very monotone voice replied... "Oh!, You are so RUDE!!!" She snapped and watched as he walked off towards the south... "What a jerk..!"

Raven was just listening to everyone else babbling dramatically while he slumped against the rock he was sitting on. He was bored out of his mind... He wanted to take back Garden just like everyone else did...
---------------
Irvine continued sobbing, rocking back and forth on the cave's (I suppose that's where we are...) floor. Valiant was sitting next to him, covered in Galbadian blood from point-blank shots.

Morrina continued until her clove was smoked almost all the way through..then pulling another from her pack, she just chained it like you'd chain a Gf's abilities..fast, and with deep intent. She intended to smoke herself into unconsciousness, or at least try to forget. She had a feeling that if she pulled what little of the good stuff out she had to relax, everybody would want a toke, and dammit..nobody got her stuff. She had so little of it..and she only used it to relax..she didn't see the need to just get high for the sake of it..sometimes she just wanted to forget..and even then, it didn't work sometimes.
Just a sigh along with smoke escapes her lips as she exhales from the first breath of her second clove of the night..she gazes out of the lean-to with distant, haunted eyes..brushing a red-streaked set of black hair out of her eyes..idly her fingers come up to touch the choker around her throat..the little silver cross dangling from it..she shakes her head..her voice soft..she only says one thing..
"Hope.."

He's in the front of the approaching SeeD, their packs brimming with food, and drink, looking tired, the front of his dark blue shirt stained black with blood, kneeling, as his sword was wiped along the ground, and the blade turned back inwards, sliding it back into its sheath, pulling that piece of wood and strings from his back in silence, sort of half-numb, despite his previous prod at Alger, the guitar handed down to Morrina without a word, as he made his way past his lean-to, headed towards the main encampment.
He'd grab a can of something, and eat it cold, if necessary. He'd given the majority of his food over to the others, because his training had negated his necessity for food unless he wanted it, barring that a week or more hadn't passed. He grunted softly, as fingers ripping the blue shirt off his body, and over his head, tossing it down at the back of his lean-to, as he moved in with the others.
"Everyone dig in.. but go easy.. this has to last until we get more supplies.."

She just sort of blinks..she takes her treasure and hugs it tight..probably the most emotion she's ever shown, besides contempt and hostility so far..or depression. She sighs..opening the case, examining the double handled guitar..it's a real piece of work..handmade, electric, two guitars fused into one almost..it's made in the shape of a crystal..an eight-pointed crystal, kinda like a stop sign in shape..but the detailing is so perfect. Whoever made it put a lot of love into it..that's for sure..runes in some strange language are scribed across it..it almost seems to give off a little glow..she sts it gingerly back down into the case and locks it up..
"Why..?"
All she says as she tips her head..

He returned a moment later, with two open cans of ravioli, and two forks, offering one can and fork out to Mor, shrugging his shoulder, as he slid down to rest on a rock near his lean-to.
"I was going through the dorms, looking for items. You seemed really intent on it last time I saw you in Garden, so I figured you might want it.."
No sweetness, no attempting to butter her up. Just a quiet bluntness, as he stabbed a ravioli with his fork, and lifted it upwards, biting into it. The other SeeD were scattered around doing the same. One of them had been smart enough to grab silverware, thank goodness. Nostrils flared quietly, and he enjoyed the mutual silence of all of the previously warring parties, as their stomachs overcame their need to fight Galbadia.
"Better eat.. we may have to move camp soon.. means I'll have to pack up the lean-to.."

She just shakes her head..she's not hungry..well..she is..but she can't eat right now. She's just got too much on her mind. She leans back, her long nailed fingers running slowly over the guitar case..she gives it a moment of thought..then shrugs..
"I might stay here..honestly, where can we run to..? It's fortified here..and I doubt the monsters will bother me much..most people..and creatures..leave me alone..and that suits me just fine.."
She hums a little tune to herself..not singing..no..she doesn't sing anymore..there's no solace in that for her..and besides..she's got no purpose for singing anyway..without purpose, nothing is relevant..

He cut gray eyes over, before turning to continue consuming his food. This place was fortified, but not if the army followed them up into the mountains, which was likely. Until they had a full stock of supplies, they were in no small amount of trouble. He remained silent, for several moments.
"Alright. We'll stay here. And when the army follows our trail up into the mountains, invades, captures us, we'll be able to fall back on the fact this place is well fortified.."
There was no malice, not even sarcasm, in his voice, just a simplistic attitude that accepted the fact that until they had the supplies Squall was bringing, they were in trouble. Even making the run down to Garden had been a risky thing, riskier then anyone else knew. He curled his fingers tightly around the fork, before setting the can down to the side, his appetite gone.
"I'm going for a walk.."

"Then what do you advise, mister SeeD? retreat somewhere they can follow anyway? They'll find us, and there's no way around it. We're already dead anyway. At least here they could only come at us in limited numbers..on the water from the caves, and the fungi and animals we can kill we could survive for years..but then again..we're all going to die anyway..so.."
She shrugs..not caring anymore..death would be an escape for her at last..she'd fight if she had to, scared or not..but she'd take her own life before she let them have her again..
"You can do all the military stuff you want..I'm just going to stay here..alone if I have to. I'm alone anyway..there's no need to burden yourself with my choice of actions..walk..you do that.."
She leans back and sighs..this wasn't supposed to happen..but she'd been feeling it..for a while now..that something dark was coming..

He grunted quietly, and paused where he stood, leaning down, and then reaching past, not even bothering to glance at her, as he lifted his shirt, and then slid it down over his head.
"What I suggest is that if we're going to stay here, we post sentries with flares. We can survive here for years, the question is, will they let us? Squall will be arriving soon with supplies, and we'll be able to regroup. Until then, the deeper in we go, the better off we are.. I was going to go walk the parameter.. check for weak spots.."
Shoulders lifted in a shrug, and he pocketed his glasses.
"You're not a burden, Mor.. I take on what I do because that's my choice.. Just rest.. eat when you get hungry.. I need to go see about some things.."
And he turned, hands stuffed down into his pockets, as he made his way away from the rest of the SeeD's. Damn, these decisions kept getting harder and harder.

She just stays quiet..sitting there..there's nothing more to say, really..all she can do is wait. Death isn't so bad a prospect really..it's about how you die..starvation, suffocation..all bad. This place has potential for all the bad ways to die..but maybe..if there's an invasion, she can die the best way..in a blast of magic all released at once..maybe then she can take all of them, that man included, with her..she has a feeling he will burden not only to the students of the Garden, but..to the world itself..

Chris sits against the far wall of the main cavern, Ele'sear sitting on the rock beside him. He mindlessly digs spaghetti out of a can with a fork, eating it cold, idly wondering what kind of stomach virus he's going to get from not cooking it first.
"They'll never agree on a course of action."
He nods at Ele'sear's statement, the same one he'd been mulling over in his mind for days. Of course, knowing her, it was probably El that had put the thought in his mind to begin with.
Sure won't. Too bad nobody sees it that way, though...
She turns from looking across the survivors eating quietly throughout the cavern, focusing her grey eyes on him. "What do you want to do? Stay? Run? Whatever you chose, I will stay with you."
He smiles, and leans his head against her crossed legs.
I want to stay and fight. Prove myself, you know. Maybe if I can fight and survive a losing battle, she might want me back...
